Spoke to Debbie over the phone to help me understand the online reservation. She was nice. Arrived to unexpectedly find busy convention. Travis was our valet to tell us helpful information. Mina checked us in. She was nice. The elevator system is messed up though with long waiting times. Ate dinner at Vitascope. Marvin was our server. Food was good. Went swimming later but I almost tripped on a large tile near towel rack. Loud guests woke us about 2 am or so, so we checked out. Here's the kicker...we came to celebrate our son's 5th birthday but no one acknowledged it or offered to do anything for him.

Great stay. Comfortable beds, good price. Very nice inside the facilities. Just a few things needs fixing like a big water stain on the ceiling and some missing slats on the wooden fence surrounding the upper border around the pool area. Also the distance from the French Quarter is a tad far however there is a trolley stop in front of the hotel.

It was in line price wise with the rest of the hotels but still thought it was a bit pricey. Most everything was within walking distance I.e. French quarter, Jackson square, Bourbon st. . Very easy to get ground transportation to get around if needed and the Super Dome is right next door.

Attended a conference at this venue. The food was decent and varied, the rooms were well maintained and monitored throughout the event. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great venue.

Great stay...easy access to a lot of what downtown has to offer and I would definitely go back again. I think the location was everything to us. You can catch the street car right across the street and you have restaurants, CVS store and another little grocery store only blocks away. The staff was friendly and nice. Check out this hotel when you're near or in the New Orleans area

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

The elevators are extremely difficult for disabled guests to use: most have touch pads with no way for visually- or mobility-impaired users to access them.

The room itself had a terrible sewage-like smell. When we requested resolution from the front desk, they suggested that this was our own fault because of trash in the room. When we pointed out that our trash cans contained only paper, they sent an employee with scented spray to cover the smell but did not respond to our requests for a thorough cleaning, a new room, or at least an investigation of the scent.

Worst of all, when we went to check out, OUR BILL WAS WRONG BY MORE THAN $400. The hotel attempted to "rectify" the situation through withdrawing a further $423.51 from my credit card without notifying me. When I called to dispute the charge, a condescending and rude employee by the name of Frank tried to tell me that I had simply misinterpreted my bill and no error had ever been made. He only admitted that the hotel had made a mistake -- one of over $400 -- when I was able to pull up a copy of the receipt and demonstrate to him that we were not charged the correct amount upon checkout.

If you have the enormous misfortune to stay here, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS CAREFULLY. This is the type of establishment that considers it acceptable to continue to pull hundreds of dollars from customers' accounts a week after they check out, without even the courtesy of a notification. I shudder to think that they still have my credit card information on file, and will be keeping a careful eye on my statement going forward.

The AC in the room was not working. Front Desk not picking up, I finally got mike on the phone he was very rude and refused to change room. They sent an engineer over who fixed the AC I thought the worst is behind me just to find out in the morning that I have no hot water. While the only the shower head was working there was only cold water from the shower and of course front desk not answering.

Rooms are smaller than average but service can't be beat. As a guest, you will be accommodated with speedy room service, great in-house restaurants & bars but most importantly impeccable customer service.

The hotel location is convenient and room was clean. Also, had an excellent waiter at their Vitascope restaurant. The 2 stars are for the following reasons: We have a truck and it could not be accommodated in their garage, even though the Hyatt House (next door) said the regency would be able to accommodate our truck in their parking lot. The hotel has a late-night shop with snacks, etc., that is open from 6am - 1am. Well... we were walking to our room one night and we were looking for a snack. We ran into a manager and asked for guidance. The manager suggested The Lagniappe because they were open until 1am. So we went there and the glass door was closed. We peeked in and asked the guy if they were really closed and he said yes. We stated we were surprised because the manager said they were open until at least midnight and the sign on the glass said 6am until 1am. The guy firmly said "It's my store and I'm closed!" Very, very rude! At that time, 4 other guests arrived at the Lagniappe (all after the Stones concert). The man was just as rude to them as he was to us. One of the guests called the front desk and asked to have a manager return his call. We later found out that the manager did not call. Overall, we like the hotel and would have enjoyed our stay. The way the owner of the Lagniappe responded to us and other guests was shocking. He could have been polite or offered an explanation as to why he was closing early when clearly, there were a number of people looking to grab a quick snack after the concert. We were very surprised that the management was not concerned with how their guests were treated.

The room was fine, the hotel was clean. What upsets me is you pay in excess for the room, and they don't even give you a bottle of water! They offer water at $4 per bottle charge. Honestly, this is ridiculous and speaks poorly of the franchise. In all the hotels I've visited in the US and abroad, I have not encountered this discourtesy in 10 plus years when bottle water was becoming a thing. It's a poor way to treat a guest, Hyatt!

This was the site of the conference I was attending. It was the Clio cloud conference. The hotel did a lovely job. Food was good. Location was central. I did not stay there but the facilities were awesome.

The location is convenient (Super Dome is a 5 minute walk) but the rooms are not in the best shape and it is a massive hotel (which I consider a negative). Elevators were frustratingly slow around the time the event we were in town for started because of the volume of people trying to use them. Staff can be very helpful but at check in we did not have one of the helpful staff members. Valet was also very slow. The rooms have nice decor but we did have issues with the air-conditioning. They are trying to modernize with upgrades to the lobby, elevators and the room decor but I think the age of this hotel shows through very clearly.

The beds were pretty uncomfortable the rooms were small and I think all in all it was way over priced don't buy the 25 dollar add on breakfast and snacks the free breakfast you get at a holiday inn is about a million times better

You can get so much more bang for your buck and be comfortable I'm sure somewhere else. I've been here for 5 days and my back ache so bad all 5 days, the beds are extremely hard...the pillows are flat. I'm up at 4 am popping pills, because my back is aching. I'm so ready too end my trip and go home to my bed.

I always had good experience staying at the Hyatt ...

I always had good experience staying at the Hyatt chain but this place is a big disappointment. The shower diverter button in my bathroom got stuck and the water never stopped running. Then it started shaking and drilling onto the wall and made very noisy sound like someone is shooting on my wall AT NIGHT. Called front desk at 1030pm, they finally sent someone at 1115pm after I called them 3 times saying that I really needed to go to bed as I would have a conference to attend at 7am. No apologies were made and they refused to switch the room for me. 12am, I'm still awake waiting for the maintenance guys to fix the button in the bathroom and not sure when I can go to bed... My only 1 star is for the maintenance gut trying for help me. The front desk and the hotel facilities don't deserve any.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location and hotel was great. Only situation we encounter was that we didn't have enough towels in the room, took housekeeping a while to answer the phone, finally spoke with someone, said they will get to us right away. An hour later, still no towels. Just got some from cleaning lady in hallwark. Beauty room. Bathroom real small but very nice

First time in New Orleans and I've had a horrible experience at this hotel. I arrived last night to find out that the hotel was fully booked dispite my reservation already being made and paid for. They tried to put me and my friends in basically a living room with no beds.. Just a couple cots. Mind you I'm traveling with two men. With no help of the hotel I went to the Hyatt in the French Quarter and was able to stay the night. I'm now back today and my room still isn't available and there is no end in sight.

Not a big fan of you Hyatt.
