Pool area great, nice and warm both pool and whirlpool. Lovely helpful staff; front desk, tech help to fix phone in room, housekeeping to bring in a working g microwave, friendly and courteous all, room housekeeping nice job. HOWEVER, aspects of maintaining the premises would benefit from guests advising where doors are stuck, or where bathroom latches aren't working. I'm sure the staff would be quick to respond and resolve as they learned of places that need gentle maintenance.

My god.. absolutely the worst serviced hyatt in the country WITHOUT question. I travel and use hyatt all the time for personal use as well as corporate events and I can tell you that this kind of service ALL ACROSS THE BOARD wouldn't fly at ANYONE other hyatt in America. Avoid at all costs

Place was okay. Two non matching beds (different sheets on each bed. One was also soft and the other firm). Design and layout were nice. Haven't tried the food, but will update review after trying it tonight and tomorrow morning. Overall great place to stay but don't expect a 5 diamond resort.

I visited the Hyatt to reserve room blocks for my wedding in November. The surrounding area is quiet, but is located just a few blocks off a main road, which makes it easy to travel to and from. It is simple, yet elegant, and well maintained.

A good experience in terms of staff and facility. I removed two stars for two things. One is the room I stayed was affected with the noise from the cooling tower , the other was the lighting in the room could be better.

The staff was friendly and the furniture amd decor was nice, however the hotel service was awful. I had asked for bedsheets and they took over 45 minutes to get to my room. Not to mention that the beds were quite uncomfortable as well.

Hotel room keys stopped working multiple times and the person at the front desk told us that the door keys will stop working if we put them near other credit cards in our wallets or near a phone. Where do they expect us to store a hotel key if you're not supposed to put it in a wallet or put it anywhere near a phone? The room was nice but the key situation was really irritating.

We attended an event last night at this hotel, including an overnight stay. Upon first impression we were a little annoyed as our room request (booked in advance) could not be accommodated though we were informed that there was a note on our reservation requesting the room we wanted (someone in our group had cancelled 2 rooms, both of which would have satisfied what we requested). We were staying as part of a large group and when booking were assured the rooms were set up in a block. Upon arrival, however, it was discovered that not only were none of the rooms together but they weren't even on the same floors. Annoying, but as we were only planning on sleeping in the rooms not a huge deal. The room that we were in however was unacceptable. There was blood (dried) on the bathroom door and the sheets were ripped. When we tried calling down to the lobby the phones were consistently busy (they were busy, so understandable). Eventually I just went down there myself. The person at the front desk listened to my complaint and made sure the door was cleaned/sheets were changed while we were at our event. Which I guess "took care" of the issue although it shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. The room itself was slightly dusty, and just overall old looking, nothing special to be worth the price. At our event the hotel staff seemed inattentive and undertrained, especially when it came to taking drink orders (didn't know what a long island iced tea was and had to be convinced to go ask). I'd also skip the breakfast, at around $20/per person it really wasn't anything special. We won't be staying here again even if we had an event to attend.

Amazing building with a facade that shoots it's way to the sky. The service is amazing, the catering experience was wonderful and all the staff was pleasant and wonderful. All pros for me. It was exactly what the Hyatt is, luxurious experience with excellent hospitality.

Common areas need to be cleaned and routine maintenance performed. In the meeting room there was blood on the walls and floor is disgusting. The morning cook at breakfast used the glove to pick trash off the floor and didn't change the glove. Used the same glove to serve the next persons food at omelet station. This place would have received 2 stars if they didn't have a great dinner. Salmon was awesome, perfectly cooked with crispy skin. Rooms are nice and modern but it's what I expect from a Hyatt.

Ok wouldnt return.
Hotel is nice but upon check in the gentleman checking us in Hans I believe his name is did not greet me, I said hello he said NOTHING, I said im here for check in he stares and me and says nothing, I said check in? He goes last name and credit card um okay very cold but the thing is the lady behind me at her turn she says hi and he gives her the most warmest greeting, seriously?? Maybe because she was caucasian? Very off putting. We get to the room by the elevator but I didnt mind because the hotel is quiet my business partners come here often. The room had no complimentary water I guess housekeeping forgot? Only water in the room was water to purchase. This being a regency is a stretch I have stayed at regency hotels and this just wasnt it. They should just put Hyatt LI and call it a day. We are just going to continue with Sheraton and Marriott brands from now on, I wont do Hyatt again.

When I stayed the pool was very dirty. No towels near the pool. I received a bill on the day of check-out, eventhough, I paid prior to checking in. I called over 7 times concerning an important matter and the manager continues to ignore my calls. I hear from the staff, he will return your call, I still have not heard back from him. Very dissatisfied. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful place to stay in Long Island. From the time you get on the property, you feel relax. The grounds are expertly kept, and all facilities are maintained with the highest standard. A must stay property, well worth it.

Worst Wedding Reception of my life. Overcharged me and no one will get back to me, they're legitimately getting away with credit card fraud here and Glenn the banquet manager is a nightmare.

We are so very displeased and disappointed with our stay at this Hyatt. We were so excited at the amazing customer service we were receiving prior to our stay and the quick replies to requests. From Wed night (as we were told by friends staying here) till Sat night I can t believe the things that went on: guest complaining of smoke entering his room from the vents and the front desk saying it was no big deal just something with electricity, guest asked them to call the fire department and they said their was no need to he d send maintenance up but the guest had to demand again to have fire department come otherwise he would be calling; fire department arrives and all guests are not made aware to leave the hotel; children had to text their baseball coach and tell him and his family to get out because everyone was outside; at least 3 incidents w/elevators (2 out of the 3 of them) getting stuck and people being inside for at least 40 min waiting for fire department; no inspection certificates or weight limit postings in any of the 3 elevators yet a group of people who stuck were told it was their fault because too many people were in the elevator (so why did 4 eight year old girls get stuck?); phones in room 504 did not work to be able to contact ANYONE in the hotel (pressed every button and dialed 0 multiple times each day over our 4 day stay with just constant ringing); called the hotel phone number from my cell phone, it rang for at least 2 min with no answer (I get that it was a busy weekend with many weddings and teams but have enough staff on); waited 6 hours to get towels and wash cloths so my husband could shower - couldn t get anyone on the phone bc they didn t work from our room and took 3 trips to the front desk before we said we d stand there and wait; no towels at outside pool and 1 at inside pool; guest room service trays left in the hallways for over 24 hours and never picked up; police called to come by because a man knocks on a back door and is let in and asks kids about whether or not they have seen any cameras around or where there may be cameras and when the police come to check it out it turns out to be a misunderstanding because he is a registered guest ,worst of all - a double murder (mother decapitated, daughter killed, father seen leaving with son getting into red pickup truck, which still seems to be in the parking lot) on 4th flr sometime b/t Fri night and Sat afternoon.Staff just going about their business like nothing has happened, guests moved off 4th floor but no one is told whether or not there is a safety concern, especially with tons of children on site because they are required to stay there per Baseball Heaven, no news reporters are allowed on site. We have NEVER had an experience like this at any hotel.Esthetically, yes, it is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms but I see nothing more than an understaffed hotel with a few employees at the desk that are not suitable to work there and a company that is looking to continue to make millions but yet not provide safe accommodations. Applause to Josefena from housekeeping who delivered our rollaway bed and microwave and offered to get us ice from the lobby, Alejandra (?) our daily housekeeper who was kind, helpful and hardworking, and the 2 young ladies at the desk Sunday around 10:30 (Janine(?)a trainee) who were kind and helpful with checkout, checkin and showing my husband where to get a luggage cart. Another plus was the portable AC unit that worked very well where at most hotels they still have old wall units that do not work. There are serious issues here that need to be looked into, huge safety concerns that warrant closing for a bit to update. I will be contacting corporate and Baseball Heaven to inform them of these issues. Maybe the staff and manager at this Hyatt were told to deal with issues that came up in exactly the manner they did and if so then corporate headquarters needs to be held responsible.

Nice facility. Room was well maintained. However the crowd gets a bit rowdy. Multiple wedding parties going late making it hard to sleep until 4am. The staff was adequate. They charge for water in the room so bring your own.

Directly across the street from CA Technologies' HQ in Islandia, NY. 10 minute walk into the facility. Don't forget your badge to get past security or the security gates that lead into the parking garage.

Sort of the typical Hyatt - not bad, not great. Decent restaurant/bar in the lobby. Bathrooms need to be updated.

My stay was good overall. The front desk was welcoming, the cleaning crew were thorough but the reason for the 3 stars was the bar. I was charged $12 one day then $10 the next for the same drink. It's a shame this hotel had to get 3 stars because of a dishonest staff member. I hope they resolve this issue.

A+ staff - most impressed with the fellow who checked me in and handled the night shift. What a guy! He takes customer service seriously to the next level and was a true Mentch! Hyatt should be proud!

Nice place. Went there late night after a wedding to get a room to sleep in for 5 hrs. They charge full price for late night checkin and early morning checkout. Ended up not getting a room

Worst hotel ever. First they screwed up the rooms. No blankets no soap when we got to the room. Too overpriced. The woman at the front desk was rude. Too many things to list. I will never go again.

The rooms were beautifully furnished and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and even though there were issues with the billing, they kindly and patiently worked with us to resolve and explain the discrepancies. There were issues, however, with the room keys not working properly. For each day of our stay, we had to go up to the front desk to re-enable or replace the keys. Again, the staff were friendly enough and took care of the problem. Our grind with the hotel was the noise level. We had a room on the ground floor and the noise from the bar lounge area was loud enough to compete with the TV sitting less than 10 feet away. This went on until midnight (probably later, as we somehow managed to fall asleep around then). If you're going to allow your patrons to yell and scream until that late then please, for the sake of your other future patrons, at least add additional soundproofing or re-install the big doors facing the lounge (it looks like they had been removed at some point).

(Edit: 10/10/2018)
Revised to 1 star. Apparently the issues with billing were never resolved (despite their earlier assurances) and somehow additional charges were thrown on. We called to get an update about the incorrect balance and we were treated quite rudely by the staff.

We have stayed in this hotel over a dozen times. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Giovanni at the front desk always greets us with the warmest smile and takes excellent care of us. They are lucky to have her!

Cozy and a little small, nothing wrong with that it adds to the charm. The hotel is slightly dated. It is beautiful because of the decor and accents, but the elevators need work and their room TVs are not as up to date as they could be. Food is excellent at the Nu restaurant. The staff is incredibly nice. This location is very close to a golf club where you can host weddings or other gatherings.
