What s a great hotel, wonderful location, staff, rooms and everything else about this hotel!
Was placed next to an elevator, had trouble sleeping . Otherwise friendly staff, clean rooms. A very "hip" vibe.
Our room was small but adequate. The bed was very comfy. Lost a star because the restaurant attached to the hotel, where we were served breakfast, was not only quite expensive, but added an 18% gratuity to the bill, none of which, by their own admission, went to the staff!
Excellent hotel, very hip. Only downside was the pot smell down the hall, which isn't so great if you're asthmatic.
Excellent hotel in Downtown Seattle. Close to all amenities
The staff is amazing and incredibly gelpful. Location is prime to several neighborhoods in the area and transit systems. The hotel is swanky and has a fun personality.
Love it here, middle of Seattle close to everything and they charged my car! Great happy hour in the lobby - our first choice when in Seattle.
Weird place, not for children but clean with fair service. Very expensive for average traveler.
Hotel that's very nice, rooms are very clean. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
I found the Hotel Max to be giving the image of trendiness, but not addressing other issues.
The staff have been incredibly helpful. Check-in went smoothly. I called for a tube of toothpaste and it was delivered in less than 2 minutes. Great! The room is spacious and all basic amenities are present and I have no complaints about that.
I came to Seattle in a relatively warmer week and so the air conditioning was on to keep it nice and cool upon arrival. Unfortunately, the AC is a window unit and quite loud. If you turn off the AC, then the street traffic noise becomes much more prevalent. They have kindly provided ear plugs, but that seems a weak solution to the problem.
The bathroom is very small. I would gladly give up square footage of the room to make the bathroom a more comfortable size. I also had issues with water drainage. Run the shower or sink and it takes an extra couple minutes for the water to drain. Though I did hear this is a problem. Throughout Seattle, so perhaps not at the fault of the hotel.
Overall it is an Ok hotel, but at the price (over 300 a night booked a week prior), I would not recommend.
Our stay was great. The front staff was nice and very helpful. The location is perfect (less than a five minute walk to Pike Place and the Link). During the free beer hour, there is only one beer offered so hopefully it s one you like, but if not, it s still free so you can t be too disappointed.
The room was clean and the decor was pretty great throughout the hotel. The rollaway bed was pretty thrashed but what would you expect when you stay in a hotel with a "Rock Floor"
This hotel is very pricy, and the rooms are very small for 2 people in my opinion. But the staff was exceptionally polite. On the day of check in, I had just missed their nightly 2 hour happy hour by 15mins, but the girl at the counter gave me a glass of wine anyway and even did a toast with me. They had bell-staff to help us with our bags, and bell-staff who open the doors for you as you enter or leave the hotel. Parking was free(at the time I went), and this is a hip, boutique hotel that is accessible to everything in the city. Would stay there again.
The staff was incredible. They accommodated us showing up early with an upgrade, were incredibly professional and welcoming. If I need to stay in Seattle again, I'd be glad to stay there.
Small simple room sleeping two. One in queen bed and other in folding camper. Camper was pretty ordinary but it's a camper. Hotel room had outdated information inside regarding services. Very friendly staff and easy check-in and outs.
Super cool great customer service. Hip trendy place. We loved that they had music in every room a nd free earplugs. Lol. Although we did not need them. Great customer service!
The bees knees. Great room service and location is key to enjoy seattle
Room was terrible and small with one king bed when we asked for two queen beds. The room we got was not even an option or pictured on the site. Very small and very ugly. Four people were supposed to stay in this room and you expected us all to get ready in that broom closet you called a bathroom? No.
Manager was very rude and short with us while explaining their "policies" about basically first come first serve rooms and how the room we asked for was in no way available and that she "couldn't just make a room appear for us."
We ended up booking at the Courtyard by Marriott for over half the price and their staff is MUCH FRIENDLIER. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone. You won't get what you paid for.
Old and out of shape. Lamps didn't work, records were in shambles, wifi was 1mbps.
I chose this hotel due to VIP amenities and received none. I wouldnt have chosen it otherwise. Small rooms. Overpriced.
good location, very nice staff. Room was almost tiny, but nicely decorated. great coffee bar in the morning, free beer in the afternoon.
Clean room and great prices using Hotel Tonight. Would definitely stay again.
My stay at Hotel Max was "okay" at best.
Overall, I found the staff and the vibe of the hotel to be pretty great! However, I felt that the renovation and cleaning of the hotel was done by either a low budget, or not that well thought out.
In my room, there were holes in the walls, showers with no light and a very used shower curtain, they didn't have remotes to the TV (but they did have an Alexa... so...), the carpets looked like they haven't been cleaned, and the headboard to the bed still had hand marks from the last folks who had a good time in the room.
I honestly don't know if I would stay here again.
More than likely, I won't.
Excellent hotel. Located close to Pike Place and the space needle. Gary at the front desk was awesome and very helpful. He was quite helpful in recommending a restaurant.
Such a fun place! The super friendly staff did a great job making us feel welcome, and we loved discovering that the record player in our room on the Sub Pop floor included albums by some of our favorite artists.
The rooms are incredibly small it's not worth it to me
So at first we had a Classic King. BIG mistake. The room is super tiny, and my boyfriend and I barely had any room to walk. Not to mention the bathroom was tiny. So we upgraded for $10 to the Max King the next night. BIGGGGG improvement. The room is basically a studio king without a couch, and we had enough room to relax and spread out.
Everyone at the Hotel was super friendly and kind. There customer service is excellent, and we had a very enjoyable three night stay. The free beer from 5:30-6:30 was great also.
The location for this hotel is good, and Pike Place is only a half mile walk away!
Coolest hotel in Seattle.
Hotel is super adorable, and staff is amazing.
Location was spot on. Got a room on the fifth floor, which has record players in them. Super small rooms (shower was in the closet). Free beer for an hour at night.
Hi,
I was down there for the Rolling Stones and stayed at hotel max . The staff at hotel max are amazing . Sasha and Linz the two employees i had a chance to interact with are two of the nicest and welcoming employees there. I will
Definitely come
Back to this hotel and I will
Definitely recommend it .
Thank you hotel max. See you soon.

Awesome stay! Would definitely recommend! Clean! & the staff was so great! & Melissa(front desk) is doing an awesome job and is super hot!!
Lunch at Miller's Guild. The meat was a little tough, but overall pretty tasty.
Rooms were a great value, the location is central to Seattle's city center.
Overpriced. Aura of cheap, wino hotel remains. Front door man very pleasant and accommodating.
The employees are helpful, and the decoration is nice. The elevators are small but that's the only bad thing
1 room is very small.
2 AC is extremely loud and when reaches the desired temperature, it does not stop just keep fanning. Talked to front desk about this, and she told me will send some one over but it never happened !
3 The sound proof is really bad, I can hear next room conversation and TV just like sitting besides me.
The dinner at Miller's Guild was most excellent. Great service too! It wasn't even too pricey for the quality!
I've stayed here twice. Very small rooms (I hit my knees on the sink when sitting on the toilet), but nice. Free beer happy hour in the evenings! Second visit shower was not clean. Both visits shower water never got hot. Just warm. I think they may have an issue this their hot water. Service always very friendly.
Efficient room with friendly staff who lean into a grunge aesthetic. Very tight proximities in the en suite washroom.
Small bathrooms, but fun funky feel. Will definitely be starting there again
Very good hotel! Super cool, reference service. I recommend.
Had a great stay here. Everyone was nice, helpful, and a pleasure to chat with. Great Location. One of the most memorable hotels stays due to a number of pleasant surprises:
1. They serve "free" beer most nights (every night I was there) at 5:30 pm for those that stay. Cold and refreshing; glasses were kept full.
2. If you choose to not get your room clean, there is a credit that you get to spend in the mini-bar within the room. Very convenient when you don't need constant room attention but need a late-night snack.
3. Staff was amazing. Melissa was the bartender every night; she is a joy and gave great recommendations for eating. Linz and Kat were also nice to work with.
***Just one thing to keep in mind***
Depending on where you schedule there will be a $20 charge per night; a "facilities fee." For me this was unexpected. If it was mentioned upon check-in, I don't recall. But this fee wasn't enough of a negative to reduce the number of stars. It was mentioned in a confirmation email and I just didn't notice it. Just keep this in mind...
This place is one of my favorites to stay at. The staff is always amazing, the rooms are always cozy and comfy. Plus the free craft beer hour starting at 5pm never hurts the ratings. :)
Trendy. Great Location. The complementary Craft Brew hour was a great touch!
Rooms are clean but very small. 24 hour fitness room, but that too is small. Free all-you-can-drink for one hour, nightly. Great location!
Nice boutique hotel. They had free beer every night but I was just looking to relax and the room was really small.
Fantastic hotel in a great location with friendly staff and nice rooms. Location wise, it's an easy walk to all the main areas in Seattle, they have bikes and umbrellas too. Room was decent size, great shower and a comfy bed. They serve free coffee in the mornin, but even better, free craft beer between 17:30 and 18:30.
Nice modem rooms and clean building. Walking distance to all the major sights.
Great ambience and laid back atmosphere. Central location with ability to walk virtually everywhere.
It was wonderful. Great gathering at the craft brew event. Fun chatting with other guests, and watching others play games. The decor was really fun, all the room doors were different. Great beginning and end to a wonderful New Years at the Needle with my family!
Pretty standard hotel with a nice view of downtown you're paying for the location.
Bathrooms are a little small but the hotel was great and the free beer everyday was awesome!
One of the better boutique hotels in downtown Seattle. Small rooms but clean and modern. Free beer every night, great service, good location and friendly staff. Gym is small but has the essentials. Good for lengthy stays.
Cozy eclectic joint, small elevator and rooms but cool either way
Cool hotel, comfy rooms and bed, free beer every day, great location, attentive staff.
Overall a great experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They have great suggestions of things to do around town. Rooms were nice and clean. Enjoyed the hotel.
Overall it is clean and easy to walk around. It's nice to see the sun shining through the windows, and you can walk to the Pike Marketplace. But I do not want to give you a free bottle of water. ^^
Great hotel with a awesome resturant in the first floor.
Had a cool rockstar vibe to the place. Keyless entry for the rooms with a record player and records in each one. Room size didn't matter since it was perfect for one person and a quick stay. Front desk was super nice and helpful. They recommended some great late night dinner spots.
Great location convenient to restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc. Cozy room and very friendly staff. Watch your step going into and out of the lavatory and shower. They're elevated almost a foot higher than the rest of the room.
Beautiful place and free premium beer from 17:30 to 18:30.
Eh. It's suffers from what a lot of hotels that are trying to be boutique suffer from, they focus on trying to be cool but forget that what you really want is a place that feels clean and well kept up. It definitely doesn't feel like a lifeless chain hotel and the lobby is coolish but the rooms are not great . Reminds me of a lot NYC hotels with great lobbies but tiny tiny rooms that are retro fitted into spaces that they very clearly we're not designed for. Like nyc, the hotel is fine if you don't plan on spending much time in it. staff is super friendly and helpful, however I'd highly recommend an Airbnb over this hotel. Seattle has a lot of great hosts with really nice places, especially up in Ballard.
Nice hotel. Bathroom was tiny, but free beer hour is a great feature
Its was very clean. Small rooms but updated design and feel. Nicest staff ever. Has a restaurant downstairs.
Great Hotel, very clean and organized, in the heart of downtown Seattle, near restaurants, stores and shops, close to the public transportation, buses lines, walking distance from the downtown Seattle center.
I booked using HotelTonight and got a fantastic deal for a double that got upgraded to a king. Had a corner room. Room got a bit chilly when I turned the heat off and the entrance stayed pretty cool. Bathroom had a step up to it that was odd. The room was very clean.
At check in everything seemed fine. We were a bit early but we hung out in the lobby. Check in was fairly simple. Staff wasnt too nice but whatever. We arrive at our room and it smelled funny. Room size was decent but the smell and wet spots on the carpet (gross!) were disconcerting. 2nd night we get smoked out with cigarette smoke. I call the lobby and ask if smoking is permitted; they tell me "no", and nothing more other than fret a bit and do nothing but send sum1 to spray the 8thfloor hallway. I am allergic and spend the rest of the night with an awful cigarette headache. 3rd day: woke up at 5:50am short of breath, coughing with another awful cigarette migraine. We check out tomorrow. we come to seattle multiple times a year but definitely wont b coming back to this 'boutique' hotel in which 'smoking is prohibitted'.
Horrible front desk service. They don't guarantee the number of beds you get in your room, so we had to squeeze three full-size people into a king bed. The bathroom had no counter space, only a strip of glass about 4 inches wide, that spanned across the length of the mirror. The shower was so small that if you turned left or right, you'd hit your arm on the temperature knob. The housekeeper came at 4:30 in the afternoon, and when we asked if she could come back later because we were leaving soon, she told us she couldn't come back. The photos on the website lead you to think the rooms are modern and a decent size. Extremely misleading photos on the Hotel Max website. This made our hotel stay in Seattle unpleasant and uncomfortable. We also booked Hotel Max through Sakura-Con and hope the convention doesn't recommend Hotel Max again. We forgot one of our pieces of luggage on the last day, when we back-checked everything, and when we called to ask about it, Hotel Max had lost the luggage. It took hours of calling the hotel to finally get someone to look harder for our luggage. Then, when they sent it back to us with USPS, they charged us the shipping cost for three items for over $200, when it was just one small box. Next year, we will not be booking for Sakura-Con with Hotel Max.
Hotel was nice overall, room was a little small. The bathroom didn't have very good lighting and the toilet was too close to the wall in front of it to sit down easily (I'm 6'1).
I've had two great stays here, and I keep coming back! The rooms are clean, albeit a little cramped, but not bad if you spend your trips out and about for business or travel. Their craft brew night is a really fun experience, they bring in free local craft brews to try. I plan on booking my third trip here again.
Went to Hotel Max to dine at Miller's Guild after drinks at Le Caviste right around the corner. The first thing you see walking is in their giant wood-fired grill. Meats change regularly with a menu that rotates through new meat dishes. A chalkboard near the back also displays size and prices of a la carte steak options like ribeye, new york strip, and tomahawks. Bar has a bartender's choice option which is always nice to see. Had a smoked pork chop and some beef fat fried fries. All in all, great food and I would definitely go back again.
Great little boutique hotel with a music theme and a awesome complimentary happy hour beer every day at half 5
I stopped in to have drinks with friend. I have stayed at this hotel a few times and the atmosphere is wonderful.
