Clean and friendly staff, comfortable bed but shower and wc made for midgets.
Flash back to the good old grunge days. Clean and simple rooms, with a urban touch.
Interestingly themed hotel with a nice view or downtown. Good service but thin walls.
Super comfortable bed and pillows. Bright and vibrant room. But, definitely not your standard hotel. Definitely has personality and a few surprises included!
Absolutely wonderful and friendly hotel staff all around. The rooms are charming and the ambiance of the hotel has a nice artsy feel. Overall I've enjoyed my stay tremendously. Only problems I've had were with the small shower and bathroom light going out.
Really great experience. Excellent staff. Affordable for that area of Seattle. Your 5 blocks or so from Pikes Place and waterfront.
Hotel Max is a small boutique hotel with small but stylish rooms too match. Customer service is excellent, and the beds are comfortable and clean. Attach the
This is a very nice, conveniently located hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but were furnished nicely and I had a comfortable stay. Be aware that being located in the city, it can be a little noisy at times.
Very casual hotel. Nothing fancy but very comfortable.
The staff at the reception are very friendly. I liked the opportunity to have room service on request, rather than everyday cleaning which is usually so unnecessary.
Unbelievable they have a craft beer hour. Big plus of course!
The only downside is that the room walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbours TV.
First of all, the staff is amazing! Friendly, helpful, full of smiles. Honestly, I would be giving it a one star, if not for the staff.
The rooms are SMALL... I mean jail cell small. You cannot walk on the side of the bed, they must be mounted from the foot of the bed. (The beds are firm, and come with a variety of pillows)
The shower is its own closet room, with bad ventilation and moldy mildewed tiles from floor to ceiling. You towel therefore gets wet if you take it in the shower closet with you, and you have to dry off outside the door on the hotel carpet. Eeewwwwe.
The toilet is in a red room with a cereal bowl sized sink, and you can hear everything that happens from the bed area. Maybe not the best thing if you have a significant other.
The location is amazing during the day, but at night it turns into a war zone, with sirens, screaming homeless people, and GUN SHOTS. They are obviously aware of this, as there is one pair of ear plugs on the night stand.
Oh, and it is pet friendly, so there are dogs barking at each other through the doors as you walk down the hall.
Free coffee with the minimal options in the morning, and a free pint of beer is a nice touch.
I would only stay here again if I was traveling solo, found it online for under 100.00, and planned on bar hoping until 3am and then passing out.
Quite comfortable, modern style. The room is very small, but as it is, it does not have any type of buffet service included or breakfast, the days that I was there never took the garbage apparently the toilet service has a otherwise it cost everything well.
Rooms were clean, but small. Smallest shower I've ever seen!
Awesome boutique hotel rooms. Just be aware, you will be sleeping on top of whoever you share a room with. They are tiny.
Great downtown place for a Seattle visit, with friendly staff, generally enjoyable atmosphere, and a neat Rock'n'Roll theme.
Loved the room and the theme! They provided a turn table at request. Comfy bed. The bathroom was tiny, but you don't spend too much time in there.
-The bed was comfortable and had a pillow-top pad of about 3inches which delivered the right amount of plushness.
- Get a room on the 7th floor or above if possible to have bedside views of the space needle- we did and the view at night sweet
-Updated finishes and new furniture
-New plasma with 60 channels
-The negative comments about the size of the room can easily be overlooked. If you've ever traveled in Europe or Japan you'd think it's spot on.
We got a pretty good deal. The hotel is very quirky, bed was extremely comfortable. A little weird, but good place to stay.
This is a nice little funky, friendly hotel. Staff was genuine, upbeat and always available. They accommodated my early check-in. Location is unbeatable! This is an old hotel that was fully refurbished and updated some years ago. Funky, cool, hip decor. Rooms are small. Walls seem thin. Hotel provides earplugs which silenced the room. Bed is big and comfortable. Bathrooms are very small and would prove difficult for a big or round person. Excellent coffee in the morning. Free craft beer happy hour in the evening. Attached restaurant is expensive but may be worth it (I don't know). The hotel and room was generally clean. The cleaning staff could have used the edge tool on their vacuum cleaner to clean the dirt from where the carpet meets the baseboards. In some places the beautifully large baseboards were dirty, but this would not stop me from staying in this hotel again. Staying at this hotel was a good experience and a great value compared to nearby properties.
Super fun, Great location, friendly staff, would stay there again!
I'm a Seattle local, and Hotel Max is my GO-TO for city stay-cations!
Quirky, but great! Unbeatable price, for the proximity to downtown.
The rooms are tiny and cramped but clean I guess. The walls are also pretty thin
Trendy spot in a rennovated 20s building near everything. Great lobby
I got a room with a record player and some classic rock records which was a nice surprise.
Super sleek lobby and amenities. Rooms are spacious but felt a bit outdated.
Free beer every night and nice rooms. What more can you ask for?
Really enjoyed the stay here. great old restored hotel. yes rooms are smaller and so are bathrooms but that should be expected from an older restored hotel. Great amenities and staff is very friendly and helpful.
definitely worth the stay!
This is a nice stay for a single person. I was on the 9th floor.
The size of the standard room is adequate for me (average size Asian) and it was no surprise because it was in their advertisement. However, if you're bigger/taller, it may be a bit small (the shower and toilet rooms are quite small). The bed was comfortable enough. The interior paint job could've been better. A little more on the presentation goes a long way. The pull-up curtains don't lock unless it's pulled up or dropped all the way. The carpet looks a bit iffy. I didn't know whether to step on it or not after showering (it'd be great if there were slippers in each room in this case).
When I left my room during the day, the service maids weren't friendly. One was in the hall while the other was making the bed in another room so I didn't expect her to greet. The one in the hall just looked at me as I was passing by (no smile or anything). I was equipped with a smile though. Another lady entered the elevator while I was heading down and she greeted me; however, she didn't seem to speak much English. That's okay. It was the friendliness that counted. The only other maid I saw seemed friendly.
The front desk is very helpful. They have very good people skills.
I have complimentary valet parking since I booked my stay via Groupon. The attendants are friendly and helpful.
You can't really beat the location being in downtown.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay!
Overall a great place to stay. We had problems with our keycards and our bathroom was quite chilly, but the friendly staff was always happy to help.
Service was quick, food was delicious, drinks had lots of liquor! I'm going back very soon!!!
Nice hotel overall. Older building that has had recent renovations. Room was big and we'll appointed. Location was prime.
Great location next to Amazon conference buildings. But room is small and not clean. I saw some hairs left in bathroom. Air conditioning is small, loud and needs manual control. TV is large and modern. Elevator is very small. Although it seems the selling point is the stylish design, but it's not what I care most about.
Not what we expected. First off, valet was mostly self-serve, honestly I would just park in a garage and walk if you need to. Valet service picking up was pretty slow too. Nice workers but their system should be corrected to function more efficiently.
The elevators were big enough for 4-5 people to stand. But when you have your luggage or any other essential it fits maybe 2-3 at a time.
The hallways were cool with each door decorated with pictures. Their lobby had seating and 2 tables to play tebletops. Plus, they have an hour of free pints in the evening. They get half a star here.
The room I was supposed to be in was under maintenance. A room that was supposed to be 190sq ft with a king bed. Instead we were put in a 175sq ft with what appeared to be a queen. (We were told that was "their" king size) Everything about this room was small and stuffy. Their was about a 2 foot pathway around the bed. (Photos online were highly deceptive) When I inquired about why we had been placed in a Mini instead of the SubPop King like we had asked they told us the only difference between the rooms was a record player. (Unlike the description found online comparing the two rooms) The bed was hard. The fridge smelled like old beer. The AC/Heater unit dried out my sinuses and was very loud. TV was non-streaming, basic cable.
Restaurant next door was crazy expensive.
I guess I had high expectations for this hotel but it had more of a motel vibe. If I come here again I will book the king suite because it might actually feel like a nice room rather than a Hotel Max elevator.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful - everyone has been great. There's one guy in particular who seems to be running around like a crazy person, valeting cars, delivering room service, etc. and I've seen nothing less than a giant smile on his face with the kindest personality. He's the kind of person I hope ends up on Undercover Boss so that the owners of Hotel Max can see how awesome he is and give him a giant raise! (I think he name was Lenz...??)
Yes, the rooms are small, but that's been made pretty clear in the reviews, so I knew what I was getting into and the room is perfectly fine. Free WiFi that works well. From the reviews, I read the daily parking rate is $30/day but it's actually now $45/day. Expensive, but it's also downtown Seattle, so that's how the cookie crumbles.
Nice hotel - hipster vibe, looks like an old building that's been recently updated. I'd certainly come back again.
The place to go if you want a sleepless night in Seattle. The lack of soundproofing on the windows resulted in it being noisy in our 3rd floor room from 4am onwards. Also, I think the staff put cool and hip ahead of being helpful. There are much better places in Seattle to stay at.
Decent rooms and fairly fast and reliable WiFi. The bathrooms are bit pokey and tend to flood if you forget to adjust the shower curtain correctly.
A very affordable luxury hotel that offers much more than expected! Clean rooms with hip mini bar selections. The gym is small but fabulous and 24/7. They have a peloton bike for spinning! Staff on duty during my stay were really charming and helpful. They definitely make you feel welcome and taken care of.
Central location, walking distance to just about everything (space needle, market, underground tour, train station). Hotel and rooms appeared to be freshly renovated on the inside. Rooms are small, but to be expected considering it is a renovated older hotel. Staff was very friendly.
Not a very great place in itself. Only preference could be because if the location advantage and very friendly staff. Rooms are small. Old school air conditioner that gives competition to your snoring.
Whenever I stay with this hotel chain they always erroneously charge my room for food or drinks I did not consume. Happened twice to me. If you stay here watch your credit card bill like a hawk.
Nice hotel, well done and comfortable room and helpful staff. Had a hard time figuring out the valet due to signage and no attendant at the time we were looking.
The atmosphere is very cool, and the staff is excellent while being friendly. The attached restaurant has a fantastic breakfast. I'm looking forward to going again.
Hotel max was a great, functional hotel that's located in downtown Seattle, just a few blocks from the Amazon headquarters and Amazon Go (definitely check it out if you're Interested!) All of the staff members were really nice and upon arriving, the receptionist, Joseph, made our check-in a breeze and answered all of our questions with a smile The interior design of this hotel was really trendy! I loved the fact that our room was conveniently near the gym (2nd floor) and it smelt 420 friendly The only downside was that parking was difficult. The Hotel provides valet but it's about $40 (I think this would be a great option if you're staying more than 1 day). An option would be to consider other payed parking lots in the area (consider how many days you'll be staying as well). Also, they have two elevators that were pretty tight (but functional!) If you're claustrophobic, just be patient for the next elevator ride Overall, this was a great, trendy hotel!
Bed was comfortable room waa clean but it was very loud in the morning as it sits right on the street and is an old building that has been renovated...if you want to sleep in this is not the place for you.they did however offer ear plugs
Very much the quintessential Seattle hotel. Very hip/trendy with their design and decorations. Great, free, Craft beer happy hour each day and service by the front desk was fantastic!
Great hotel! Super friendly and helpful staff, free beer in the lobby during happy hour, rooms are cute and clean. Great vibe! We had a great stay. Highly recommend!
I came here for brunch. It was a great menu and good food. My only complaint is that the seating wasn't the most comfortable.
Rooms are very small and it's really noisy on every side of the building. Can't recommend this place in case you want a clam and relaxing sleep.
Very cool atmosphere with free coffee in the mornings and free craft beer from 5:30-6:30 each night
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Hotel Max. They were very accommodating of us as we needed to make some adjustments to our reservation.
This was our last stop on our Honeymoon before heading home and our stay in Settle did not disappoint, the Hotel went above and beyond to make it extra special.
The room was very nice with a king size bed, and writing desk in the room. The hotel has a great style with rock and roll style doors, much better than your typical boring hotel door. The room also had a record machine in the room, which was pretty cool.
The hotel lifts are small but have fun quotes to break the ice should you share the lift with someone else.
The hotel is in such a great location with a short walk to Pike Market Place and it is also within short walking distance to the Seattle Space Needle. Location is excellent as not too far from the Airport, around $40-50 in a taxi. And there is a bank just down the road.
Needless to say there are many Starbucks located within a very short distance amongst other coffee shops.
Fun hotel. Loved the rock and roll decor and free happy hour. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great, fast valet parking.rooms are small and you can tell the building is quite old, and the walls are thinnish
Friendly staff. Expensive menu at the restaurant though
Funky boutique hotel vibe in downtown Seattle. Music theme is a nice touch. Friendly, chill staff and comfortable rooms at a very reasonable price for downtown Seattle. Great, walkable location near tons of transit choices.
Super friendly and flexible staff! Cool atmosphere and great location relative to many of the major tourist attractions. Rooms are a little small and we are traveling with a small child, but for what the room has lacked in size the staff has made up for in service!
The hotel itself is pretty hip and modern. I was only at the lobby walking into Miller's Guild. It seems industrial modern and cute.
Hip, great staff, but small room for the price. Great location.
Awesome hotel. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
Small rooms, I mean absolutely tiny rooms. Was placed in a full when we had reserved a queen, then moved to a queen and the room hadn't been cleaned, trash laying on the nightstand...then went to the third room and there was hair inside the sheets... this is the worst hotel I have experienced and extremely overpriced.
Staff was very nice, but, hotel itself was not so great. Rooms too small, especially shower(3'x3').our first night was extremely noisy because it did right over an alley whet they empty dumpsters all night. This is more of a $200 hotel, not the $320+ that they charge.
We are booking our wedding reception here and Kyle (coordinator) is simply a dream to work with. They make it as stress free as possible, super accommodating and if music plays a large role in your life, the SubPop floor makes your indie heart skip a beat. I can't wait for the wedding day, I only have great feelings about it! Also, Miller's Guild happy hour and food in general is aaammmmaaaazzzing.
We had the small room, it is very very small. Cute but tiny.
The hotel is great, like no other I've stayed in. The Sub pop theme is unique and something which this hotel uses really well. The turntable and records in the room are great, as is the Bluetooth speaker. I stayed in room 510 and could not fault it. Ive seen other reviews about noise etc. You do get noise, but you're downtown, not out in the country. The noise wasn't an issue for me at all.
Great hotel, professional service, friendly staff. Convenient location right in the heart of downtown Seattle. Extremely noisy because of the same. The garbage trucks come into the alley and make so much noise at 4am that you will wake up! They don't leave mint chocolate on your pillows, they leave ear plugs. Seriously, with a note that reads "get silence". And yes you will need them!
We had an great stay at Hotel Max. This modern chic boutique hotel was budget friendly and offered daily craft brew happy hour in their lounge.
Great location and nice, European-styled rooms. Restaurant was pricey, but good enough.
Well the first room was the smallest I have ever seen but they did hook us up so that was really cool.
Bathroom was tiny, apart from that everything is awesome.
Great location, comfortable rooms, clean, and friendly staff. Free WiFi during the stay was great. Miller's Guild restaurant attached was a great go to for food. The only thing that threw me was the decor. Not for me but otherwise a great place to stay.
