I am very disappointed in this hotel. I should ve asked questions before spending my money here!! I am from out of town. Wanted to do something special for Father s Day & EVERYTHING in this place is closed, even the freaking pool. For the amount of money I spent with this hotel something could ve been done to accommodate our stay. Like this is crazy!!! Never again

Really not the best hyatt, they seemed to have a pest issue but didn't want to admit it. My associates had ants in their rooms and another saw cockroaches. I was very uncomfortable staying at this hyatt, never thought I'd say that about a hyatt. Disappointing.

I went to the Prego expo, which was a waste of time and money. The hotel left the parking gate open, potentially by accident, but either way we didn't have to pay and saved $9. The hotel looked nice, but I did not look around too much.

The hotel room needs repairs. The paint on the ceiling is bubbled due to a leak from the room above us. The fridge is too small for food and drinks. The price of food and drinks inside the hotel are triple what you would pay outside forcing you into the Dallas heat.

Hotel itself is fine. Decent beds, excellent dining areas, all the basic needs and wants are taken care of. Staff is friendly, skilled, effective, and capable.

However, there are a TON of unexpected, unmentioned extra fees attached to the bill when you check out.

MULTIPLE add on/layered taxes, MULTIPLE unexpected and unmentioned service fees piled on top the other fees... even if you don't use the services or thought you could avoid them you WILL be charged for them for every day you are there.

Between the near doubling of our expected fee, the HIDEOUS traffic starting some 15-20 miles from the hotel, and the near murderous attitude of the local traffic we have grave doubts of ever returning to the hotel or the TFF Convention we went to attend.

We love our friends there, but fear we can't handle the environment outside the Hotel. We're in our 60's and after 20+ years I uniform the environment above is a serious PTSD trigger concern we can't ignore.

I expect this is common for most big city hotels and conventions. . Guess we'll be spending more time at home next year.

The hotel is beautiful. Everything was clean. I put down a 300$ deposit on the room and the room cost 220$. After I checked out I was told the difference would be returned to my account within 48 hours. I waited 3 days and I had not received it so I called and they said 3-5 days. This was very inconveniencing. Not to mention they never told me one time that a 300$ deposit would be required. Not that it would of mattered. I just think it's professional courtesy to let your consumer know. It is now day 5 and I received the difference.

Truly a top notch hotel. There are 28 floors, each with their own uniqueness. The double queen beds or the single king are comfortable and the sheets are very nice quality.

Excellent restaurants which includes the 560 Sky Restaurant.

The room, on the 9th floor, was in great shape other than the sheets on one of the beds having a questionable stain. Other late night services provided were good, even with an American Airlines event going on. Overall, no huge complaints or disappointments, but also no astounding or outstanding service

Check in was quick and easy even though they were quite busy with a big conference in town. The view of Downtown Dallas from our room was amazing. This hotel is very nice yet also right by the train tracks. The trains didn't bother me too much, but you definitely hear them even on the 15th floor. Parking costs extra and self parking is down the street a ways and uncovered. All the garage parking is for valet only.

Very nice facility to hold a convention. Large floor plan with multiple event rooms.
There are several choices for on-site snacks, coffee or full meals.
The staff are professional and very helpful.
There is valet parking, a parking structure, and various outdoor parking lots here.
The only drawback is the highly confusing highway system that winds around the area plus many one-way streets that make navigation for non-Dallas travelers difficult.

I can't believe this place bears the HYATT name. The location is horrible ... between the railroad tracks and crappy elevated freeway. NO PARKING FOR FREE. The valet hogs the whole garage (which was 1/3 empty at all times), so you have to walk to a parking lot filled with broken glass from break-ins. And they close the parking to those who already paid $19/day with their room, so "event attendees" can use the lot. So where do the hotel guests park? If you park in one of the many wide open spaces (that should be spots) they will tow you. NO SECURITY. And did I mention the wonderful view of the Bail Bonds, Adult Joints, and Bums under the freeway? The bridge was nice though.

Then don't be surprised if they over booked and give you a "handicapped" room. I'm in the building industry and this room does NOT MEET THE ADA. They use the grab bars as towel racks, wrong. The shower faucet is not labelled hot-cold, water pressure is very low, water is either SCALDING HOT or VERY COLD (set it to warm and it keeps changing to HOT). This is dangerous to those who are truly handicapped and would have trouble if it goes to scalding hot. Ever hear of the CODE REQUIRED tempering valve??? The sink is a small wall hung type with NO COUNTER SPACE! Hint: They make counter top sinks that meet ADA for handicapped people. So, the toilet seat is burnt from hair curler, and desk is also burnt (that's what happens with no bathroom counter). The toilet seat was loose, and when moved ... GROSS PEE ON TOILET. The shower has a curved curtain rod (like for a tub) not a straight ... so water hits the curtain, falls on floor outside of shower area, and since floor is not sloped well it goes all over the entire bathroom ... which soaks your dry cloths (that could have been on a counter). You end up getting ready with wet feet. HOW ABOUT A FEW SHELVES AND TOWEL HOOKS!!!!

Then there is the room exhaust. It does not exist. The shower not only fogs up the bathroom, it left thick moisture on the windows in the room for 45 minutes. Whole room was humid.

If you mention any of this to the night Hotel Manager, he asks what city you are from. Then he proceeds to tell you how Dallas is better than your city and your city's Hyatt! Young punk then tells you all the problems of the one in your city (for which he is obviously wrong and has not visited or was not paying attention). I'm not sure why he took this tact as I informed him of things he could use to make his hotel experience better. What kind of customer service is that?

Hint to managers: Try offering something of value when sticking someone not handicapped in a handicapped room! And, have you ever heard of golf carts to ferry guests from and to that parking lot you want us to use ... that is over 1/2 mile away? BE CREATIVE to solve the sad situation of your ill designed hotel.

To future guests ... the Hyatt is not close to anything downtown ... except the Reunion Tower. If that is all you want to do then pay up for valet (and plan to wait), and get there early so you get a normal room.

Oh yeah, and ask for a room half way down their very long hallways. Anywhere near the atrium and you are part of the 2 am party in the bar on the ground floor, no matter how high up your room is. They put the bar out in the open and not behind sound proofing glass walls ... Duh!

Fantastic venue for a small get together. We had a group of several dozen coming in and out of one of the suites and it was well appointed and very spacious. Would recommend for professional events and small parties.

Interesting place that has unique things in it. The problem we have experienced is paying for a room and half the stuff didn't work in it. Other than that experience. Had an awesome experience.

The parking situation was atrocious and the food/drinks way over-priced considering all the great and more affordable food options near by. The Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar tenders were friendly and made excellent drinks.

Decent hotel, but I've stayed in nicer Hyatt Regency hotels before. The room was big with a good view (although the wrong way) but it just didn't feel as nice as the one in Yekaterinburg for example.
