Nice place..I would of given a 5 star had there NOT been construction/jack hammering going on..upon walking into the lobby...I could hear the construction going on..that was a little upsetting. We were for there to attend a wedding and who wants to hear that noise at 8 AM? (drinking or no drinking). Pretty pricey at the restaurant. Didn't realize on "some" dining experience 'Gratuity' is automatically added. (I guess depends on amount of people at your table) lesson learned: check tab..the grounds are very nicely well kept. Night time walking around was very relaxing quite and friendly. I will go back AFTER construction.

It was my first time there, and everything was new, great, unexpected, amazing for me. There have everything that toy need in a resort to relax yourself after a while of hard work time. Jyst be caution 1 or 2 days are not enough! 3-4 days would be best time.

Made the mistake of booking an event here. Told them what my budget was and the max I was willing to pay. Signed a contract and apparently the two departments helping me didn't communicate and I was overcharged $1000. They only ended up refunding me half of that and acted like it was a huge favor. After emailing 2 or 3 times, they ghosted me.

Have stayed at Horseshoe Bay many times and was there for 4th of July 2017. July 4th week 2018 was a terrible experience now that its so corporate. Redecorated rooms look like the city not a lakeside country/ yacht club, the maid service only cleaned our room once without calling the front desk for maid service and only cleaned our room twice in a four night stay, most of the food is way below average if not terrible and really overpriced, also no good snack options for kids, my pool bags were searched by police at the yacht club entrance to make sure I didnt have any snacks on 4th of July, and the fire alarm went off when i was trying to leave so we rushed out of room and down stairs to leave hotel. The deep end of the yacht club pool was removed to put bar tables in the pool which makes the yacht club pool really small. Worse than it was before 90MM in investment. Not to mention all the widespread advertising to cover the investment is ruining the country culb atmosphere.

The room was nice, the pool and hot tub were nice. The pool area is set up great.
The walking path was beautiful.
My problem is with the cost they don t tell you about.
Parking is $20 a night and they were reluctant to tell me that 100 yards away was free parking. The only way they told me that is when I told them I wasn t paying $20 a night for parking.
When we got up we went down and found out that they didn t offer any kind of free breakfast. Honestly, 30 years of traveling I ve never come across that.
Then when we received our final bill they charged me $32 resort fee. I went to the front desk and asked what that was they said it Was a non negotiable membership fee for the use of the pool, hot tub and WIFI. I told them I didn t want to pay that they said there was no way I couldn t. They never told me anything about that upon check in.

Horseshoe Bay Resort is beautiful and a great getaway from the daily grind. The rooms are comfortable and clean, however the prices at the resort throughout are over the top expensive and are made even worse by poor service. To make the poor service even worse sometimes they would automatically add a 20% tip for their service which was so poor it wasn t even worth a tip. Poor service was found everyone I went, the Yacht Club, the main resort, any pool bar I went to, etc. this great resort would be worth every penny with better service.

The park that they have outside is just magnificent. You can ride a bike and enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty. There is a fitness center and a system of golf courses. The Spa area is great for water veiws. I personally loved it and spent hours on end here biking. I would love to come back here again. And there is a Cruise line that you can ride on. The hotel has a huge area for conferences.

Great Family resort, that accepts pets. Wish there was more than one of the pools was heated and it would nice if there were at least a couple activities that didnt have a surcharge ie; shore fishing or tennis on one of the many unused courts.

We were there with our school to perform for a conference. The bell hop let us at the bus and told us they would unload our piano gear and deliver it. We went ahead only to realize our gear had been dumped at the front door. As one of the directors asked the front desk which room, the response was extremely rude. Beautiful facility, not impressed with the staff.

Check in was confusing since the employee didn t teen to know what she was doing. Directions to the room were completely off, no signs marking the Villas. Our dinner reservations were apparently not made as we were told they were. During our 1st and second day we witnessed multiple confrontations between employees and management(this is so unprofessional). Service to just get a couple of drinks meant a 20-30 minute wait. There are a multitude of other things. We were told we would have either a pool or lake view(nope...we got a vacant lot). This was supposed to be a luxury vacation and it became a headache. We are supposed to stay one more night but, we are leaving today!!!!

I've never heard anything negative of this Marriott but my stay was a turning point. The hotel over booked and moved us into a private condo-which i can't complain about-although it took them 45 minutes to get us a key and checked in. Once we got to the room my husband logged on to our account to see that everything had posted and we had 2 extra charges on top of our charge for our room. One being the deposit (which I understand but was not told in advance about) and another that they couldn't tell me the reason for! We got the unexplained charge reversed and now 5 days later we are STILL dealing with unexplained charges and although they have been nice over the phone the money will take 3-5 business days to be credited back to our account. Not convenient for this family especially when it was their mistake in the first place. We have been offered nothing but a sorry. Went from having a $260 room to a $700 room! Needless to say, It is beautiful but a hassle and I don't plan on ever staying with them again. When you take $440 that is not yours-- I believe you might want to try and do all that you can to either get it back FAST or do something in the mean time to maintain customer satisfaction. Hate to leave a negative review but i'm not a happy camper.

I highly recommend the Holiday Inn in Marble... It is very clean, front desk is fast and I've never had any problems with them running our card over and over. I would have reserved with them but they were booked. :/

This place could be so much more. Service at the pool was nonexistent. Sadly this is the main reason we came was to just let the kids swim and enjoy some relaxing time. Main pool was very small. No real value to come here.

Excellent facilities ... and the best: the quality of the staff that works there. It is not normal to find such warm attention in a hotel in the US, I highly recommend it for family and business!

Wasn't so impressed with the standard room. Sort of small and just the basics provided. When checking in, we did not receive any information on amenities. Had no idea where anything was or how to get there. We had to explore on our own which was sort of a pain and we left the resort still feeling we were in the dark. It was my 40th birthday, which we mentioned in the reservation but it was never acknowledged. The staff was okay, not mean but not genuinely nice either. Since we didn't know anything about the property, my husband asked where to get breakfast (to the manager) and he said the Lantana restaurant is your only option. My husband had to prod him to get more info that we could drive to Marble Falls to eat or get donuts. Just not forthcoming with information at the front desk.

The second night of our stay, we were packing our things and I started to make the bed when I saw I had a bug in my bed that was still alive. Don't think it was a bed bug but I despise any type of bug so not a great experience...guess it happens though (although have never had this issue at my house).

Also, be careful at the yacht club beach. My kids were playing with their toys in the sand, when we went to check on the rest of our family at the pool. Probably were gone for 20 min. Went back to collect our items and someone had stolen our 2 sand pails and shovels. There was noone on the beach when we left except a couple that just got married so can't imagine they needed the buckets to play in the sand.

I can say that the property is breathtaking. Very unique with beautiful landscaping. Pretty neat that you can order food and drinks and have them delivered to you at the pool/beach.

I have to say that I mentioned a couple of these items to the front desk when checking out and they were nice about it but can't say that customer service is a priority. They did finally show me the map that we were suppose to get when checking in. They told me I could of asked guest services but no one was there when we needed them. I think this could have been a great way to celebrate my birthday if a few things were changed.

An amazing destination spot that will have you in love with the Texas hill country if you weren't already. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly . The food is nothing short of decadent and and perfectly executed and we especially enjoyed our amazing dining experience at the "YACHT CLUB" . They delivered a 5 star experience to say the least. We are never disappointed when we visit , and your really missing out if you pass up on a chance to experience a stay at Home shoe Bay Resort

Spent two nights there, wonderful place. We rented a 3 bedroom condo, just about 0.5 mile from the main resort. Great location on the lake. It makes a nice little getaway spot, about an hour to Fredericksburg and wine country.

We loved it. I dont know how it fared after the flooding in that area, but the grounds were spectacular when we went the weekend before the monsoon hit. Service was good. The bungalows were great. The pools were good and the one on the water was spectacular. The guys in our group loved the golf course and the ladies liked the courts a lot.

Overall okay very friendly people. Worth checking out. Not sure I'd go back.

Very pricey for what you get and inconsistent in all ways. When we booked with the golf package we were told the place was heavily booked (it was dead empty) and booked an 11:30am tee time and just to check we called the day before arriving to confirm and they had moved it to 11:40 without informing me. We were also told upon booking if we got a villa we would have a patio/balcony and look onto the pool or tennis courts and got none of that.

Also every time we ask about the breakfast times we get different times when it is open.

I will say... I'm here one day after Easter and it's obvious they do not care about us as guests. They are all checked out from the weekend, so I would recommend not going after they have a large event or weekend here.

This place is just alright. It's not on the water, in fact you have to take a shuttle to the yacht club to visit the lake. Breakfast is pretty good. The rooms are just okay. Pretty beat up and no stove in the Palm Villas despite their claims of a kitchen. They will also charge you for everything. Make sure to return your towels. Parking is horrendous. We had to park about six blocks away just to get to our Villa. Overall the grounds are nice but was expecting so much more for the price.

The event we went to was wonderful however service at restaurants on premise was inattentive and disorganized and often came with attitude. Our room was also next to construction and we were moved to an inferior accommodation.

This weekend was awesome! Jocelyn & Haley at the pool was so nice and welcoming. People kept their distance pretty much everywhere we went. Jimmy at the front desk did everything possible to make our stay welcome and to make sure we had a great time. We stayed at the villas and did the yacht club for dinner and we had reservations for the pool there. We definitely wanna give shutouts over there to Nic Tate who was probably one of the best servers we have ever had! It was pretty busy with the weddings going on, but this place did a great job making us feel comfortable during COVID.

Our stay at horshoebay resort was very pleasant. We stayed at the palm villas. The room was very spacious. The kiddos had the pull out couch in the living area and my husband and I had pur own bedroom. The only drawback of the room was the bed was a queen size and the air conditioning could have been cooler, it got a bit hot at night. The onsite restaurant lacked variety. It was pretty much all was Italian. Would have loved to have some pancakes and sausage for breakfast or chicken wings for dinner and maybe some chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room. The marina was a highlight for our family. The jet skis and other options were super fun and affordable! The lake is gorgeous and the resort grounds did not disappoint. The staff was courteous and friendly. All in all the resort was great, but one takeaway is if you want some common American food, you are going to have to drive a way out to eat.

Comfortable rooms - nothing special. Our room had a balcony, which had a nice view of the lake. Amenities were nice, but with there was more options. We kayaked, rode bikes, swam in the hotel pool, and made use of the hotel bar. Drinks were a little overpriced. Would return.

I was attending a beautiful outdoor wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the service that was provided. I unfortunately succumbed to heat exhaustion during the toasts and speeches, and apparently passed out on my way to the bathroom. The staff was immediately at my side, assisting myself and my husband. They were quick to get me inside and had security there just as fast. They were ready to call medics, but as I was feeling much better, denied it. But both situ security and staff refused to leave my side until I was absolutely and visibly better, and insisted I stay inside and watch the reception from there, continuing to check on me periodically. They were all simply amazing. Thank you!

For the price you pay- "a premium" Horseshoe Bay falls a bit short on some common sense things.
1. Signage is not good, we could not find our room easily - buildings are not marked such as Bldg 6- no markings, also parking spaces (waterfront condos) - made no sense , room # directions given by the reservation desk were not clear. Example 32 is 3rd floor #32 , we had to figure that out as well.
2. Signage signage - finding the tennis and fitness center- no clear signage at all - had to ask people in the neighborhood where is it located?
3. Food- average nothing to write home about
4. They didn't have my name on the record at reservations, they didn't have a tennis reservation either, they did take care of it at the desk but just causes more delays on checking in etc.. so their folks on the phone whomever took a reservation for tennis didn't listen or pay attention.
5. My sisters who came in for vacation from out of town, used the spa they didn't come back with good reviews of it either- they said very average and not clean.
To be honest, I would not recommend staying here for the price you pay there are better resorts that run with much better customer service . And we are talking basics here.
The grounds are great no doubt, however for what they want a person to pay the resort needs to tighten it up a bit! They did reply to this offering a discount on a stay? It was boiler plate, and there was zero response as to what they will do to fix things, I guess a customer providing advice on what to do doesn't count, its ok, because it will bite em in the backside eventually.

Horseshoe Bay is the movie theater of resorts, I guess being nestled in the picturesque Marble falls entitles them to mark everything up at least $3. As resorts go, there ISNT anything special going on here except high prices and small parking lots.

The food was...so so at best, for what you are paying I guess I expected a little bit more. Didn't drink so I can't comment on the bartender.

Parking is a joke, unless you pay the $25 a day for valet. So be prepared for that.

Now for the good news, the staff was awesome, like Chick-fil-A awesome. So that was the silver lining there.

Would I recommend to a friend? No, this place is completely off my vacation radar. I'm sure there are other hotels in the area if Marble Falls is your destination.

Beautiful getaway! Lots of great activities, delicious food and coffee and loved all of the wildlife on the grounds. There were macaws that would say 'hello!' and flamingos, lizards and fish. The mini golf course was the most fun I had ever played. It lived up to the hype from the staff. We also took a walk to the Yacht Club and hung out on the beach and in the hot tub, which was really unique. It looked like a natural, rocky lagoon with lots of individual pockets for seating. It was so relaxing! We were a little sad that room service ended at 9pm, because we like to snack late. Also, no pizza delivery was nearby (or was closed then). We found a nearby 7 11 at least. WiFi was also pretty weak, which was a hindrance for my husband's work, but mostly we were there to relax. Again, the food was delicious! Loved everything we got at Lantana (shrimp scampi, quesadillas, breakfast buffet), and at the Market. I was expecting the Market to have lower quality food, coffee and prepackaged tasting desserts, but I was happy to be proven wrong.
