Stayed 2 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. Beautiful resort and well kept grounds. We arrivemomd late after all the restaurants had closed. Having not had dinner, we went to the bar in hopes of at least finding some bar snacks. The bartender provided us with yogurt, fruit and pastries to take back to our room. The next day they delivered chocolate cake and a bottle of wine for her birthday. Dinner at the Yacht Club that night was excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We took our kids to the resort to take pictures before prom. The staff there were understanding and helpful even tho we were not actually staying there. So thankful for their beautiful back drop for a very special time for our kids.

Stayed at the villa with wife and 5 month old son. Spent $450 per night. Staff at the reception need to smile and be warm. Dont think they enjoy their job much. Need more training to be warm and welcoming. The lock on the front door of our villa was loose. Hinges and bolts were loose. This is dangerous and a huge safety concern. HVAC is very old lacks cooling and is very noisy. Bathroom toiletries are of poor quality. Toilet paper is worst than dollar store quality. We found tiny hairs on the bedsheets and comforters upon arrival. They need more family oriented restaurant options for family's with kids. Breakfast is just about OK. Kitchen staff service is slow and they messed up our order couple times. Giving 2 stars as the lantana burger is delicious.

Some of the worst hotel management experiences I have ever come across. Our room was not ready when promised, the front desk staff were exceedingly frustrating to work with, AND our room was double charged. Our room was PREPAID for by friends who were having us stay as guests of their wedding. We received a bill with our friend's name on it, and HIS credit card information. Silly me, I thought it was taken care of, as it should have been. Then, I see the full amount charged onto my card, as well. Will not be coming back here. They were SO frustrating to work with - even with trying to resolve the billing dispute.

It is the worst vacation experience I have ever had. They overbooked the facility during these corona times but put all the burden on the guests. They make you manage the social distance make reservation for every single amenity included the lake, their so called yacht club beach is exteremely small and shared by the yacht club members etc, so best bet you can stay in water for 2 hours if you are lucky to get someone take your calls and put you on the list. They offer you to the pools instead which are the worst considering they re very small, noone wears mask and obviously hotel management doesnt take any responsibility. They only care about money not the experience or the health of their guests. We came all the way up and paid all the money pretty much just to stay in the hotel room. If you would like to spend more than $300/night and would like to swim in an unsafe & lousy pool this is the place for you. P.s: They say they are pet friendly. However, you cant take them anywhere in the facility with you.

Great place to take the kids. The grounds were well kept and the pool was very nice for lounging but we were still able to easily keep an eye on the kids. The kids loved the smores at night, and feeding the turtles the next morning wasthe highlight of the trip.

Not even considering that this is during COVID redeems this in ANY way. My wife and I went for a quick anniversary getaway July 6-8. In the days leading up, we both confirmed availability of things before we went, because we wanted to make sure it was worth our time and money to still go with the extra COVID restrictions. When we got there - there was 1 restaurant open for the duration of our stay with pool reservations required which is understandable - just very limited for the lack of other things available. Resort fee is high considering the putting course is an ADDITIONAL charge and there are few other resort amenities. When I asked I was told that the fee still covered pool access (limited) parking, tv and wifi. We tried eating breakfast at J's and got seated, but left after 15 minutes because we never saw a server. When we went back for dinner we were 1 of 2 tables in the restaurant and the service was subpar. Waiter was lost and we never got our appetizer and they got our order wrong. They were more concerned with their to go orders.

I've been to horseshoe bay resort before and that's why we came back. This trip made me feel like I had been robbed out of several hundred dollars that it cost in booking fees and resort fees. Not to mention the fact that if we had booked just a week ahead of our trip instead of a couple months like we did, we would have paid a FRACTION of the price. Just a very very frustrating experience.

The only bright spot was golf. The golf shop staff and F&B staff at slick rock were top notch and deserved of praise.

The resort is beautiful and the rooms are excellent. But don t try to call them for anything. The reservation and costumer service department are horrible and, they will transfer you several times for people that also don t know anything.

The Villa we stayed in was not very clean. Found a dried up contact on the floor, the door to the bedroom didn't close properly, bathtub was dirty, etc. The hotel restaurant is overpriced and not very good.

I will say that if you drive a 1 ton Megacab, you will feel like you are a giant amongst the little people and good luck parking your truck here without people parking too close even if you park in the furthest reaches of the parking area provided. The hotel was nice, but this is still Texas and most of us still drive trucks and there are still some of us who use them for work and the family vehicle and I do not like being crowded by little cars who are driven by tacky people who siddle up to close to the lines provided. I would not bother to write this if it did not happen every time we have been here for meetings. I park way away and walk, I do not mind, make spots for large trucks not just minivans and cars. I vote against this location each time due to parking issues!

Horrible festival. Hot air balloon fest 2013. Took 30 mins to find where parking was. Signs way to small. $15 To get in. Was told gonna sell out sp bought day bwfore. Well to much wind no balloons had to go anyway. Horrible food choices. $7 Can of shiner. $1.75 Sip of wine. Vendors were a joke people selling dollar store jewlery.only vip seating and area around stage. Then hour wait in line in cold for shuttles back to car. Good pre band and 6th pence good. But i drove 2 hrs for this. Really feel ripped off.

The front desk staff was extremely accommodating. We arrived four hours before check-in and they did everything they could to help us out. The food ranged from mediocre (pizza at the Lantana) to great (quesadilla burger at the golf club) to amazing (steak at the yacht club). It all had one thing in common: A tad on the expensive side. That's sort of expected at a resort, but be aware. The pools at the resort are fairly standard. The one at the paseo apartments is basically a rectangle with water in it. The pool at the yacht club is really nice, the natural looking hot tub really added to the character. The beach area was picturesque to say the least. The resort provides a shuttle service between the major buildings. Be prepared to take advantage of that to see and do everything. Also make sure you see the birds. They have quite the collection and it's definitely worth checking out.

Very nice resort, great place for golfing, Pickleball, etc.
Way overpriced. Restaurant service was awful, first day was bad second day was terrible. Restaurant service collapsed today, rarely have I seen the magnitude of a collapse at any restaurant, much less at a pricey resort such as the is. The response from management , was an offer to come apologize at the table.
Besides that, a lot of additional services were overpriced or charged additional instead of included with price of room. Nickel and dime stuff.
Basically, if you don t mind overspending, I recommend this place, otherwise wouldn t recommend coming here.

Worst dinner ever. Only a few items on the menu. I could not pay $33.00 for a chicken fried staek so i went with the cheeseburger. Burned and dry hockey puck. The next night i drove 2 miles to Hiccups sports bar and had a much better meal for half the money.

Over priced resort with tons of resort fees which included TV fee and tax for TV fee. Rooms are ok. Bathrooms have no fans so if you do your duty it will stink up the whole room. Take a hot shower and the steam will humidify the whole room making it feel like a Sauna. Just remember to bring water cause the resort shop closes at 3:30pm, go figure. Don t bother to order room service cause there is none. Hungry? One restaurant with 3 or 4 item menu. Had the nachos which I gotta admit was pretty good after removing the burnt meat. COVID can t take the whole blame on this one. I ll never return and I ll make sure to spread the word. Ohh yeah there s a $37 per day resort tax added to your already paid room. Where is the honesty in companies now days?

Gorgeous location right on the lake! We have stayed here for fun and for work events and had great experiences! The sunset boat rides are our favorite, oh and the putting course is a really good time too! The restaurant has good food and service has been mostly positive. They have done some nice updates on the property over the years and we looked forward to our next stay!

This place is fantastic. Wonderful views, modern, spacious, quiet and clean rooms. Visited 2 bars in the property and they were both great.

And you can end the night with a drink by the fire.

Swing and a miss. There are little hints from the moment you pull up that this place doesnt have it together. Service is a 0/10, water leaked through our front door at the villas both times that it rained, food quality is very poor, and every time you interact with someone who works here, there's something missing. I'm convinced that there is no management here. The design and layout are great which is why its such a let down.

I was at the resort for a work conference. So without being able to say much about the resort itself - I can say that the staff are friendly and attentive. Just like any resort vibe, you expect to be cared for and here it is no different.

While there, we had a chance to check out a few of the restaurants. Our conclusion was that it was above average for hotel, but just average for a restaurant.

Would consider staying here for a Hill country getaway.

The phone in the room doesn't work (broken). I haven't been able to resolve this issue due to the long lines at the front desk, but I'm a bit worried about incidental charges as a result. The cost associated with a 1 night stay is very high. Also, I wasn't able to call room service. Otherwise, things seem all right in terms of bedroom and bathroom. All things such as shampoo, body wash, soap, etc. are available upon entering the room.
