For the price you pay- "a premium" Horseshoe Bay falls a bit short on some common sense things.
1. Signage is not good, we could not find our room easily - buildings are not marked such as Bldg 6- no markings, also parking spaces (waterfront condos) - made no sense , room # directions given by the reservation desk were not clear. Example 32 is 3rd floor #32 , we had to figure that out as well.
2. Signage signage - finding the tennis and fitness center- no clear signage at all - had to ask people in the neighborhood where is it located?
3. Food- average nothing to write home about
4. They didn't have my name on the record at reservations, they didn't have a tennis reservation either, they did take care of it at the desk but just causes more delays on checking in etc.. so their folks on the phone whomever took a reservation for tennis didn't listen or pay attention.
5. My sisters who came in for vacation from out of town, used the spa they didn't come back with good reviews of it either- they said very average and not clean.
To be honest, I would not recommend staying here for the price you pay there are better resorts that run with much better customer service . And we are talking basics here.
The grounds are great no doubt, however for what they want a person to pay the resort needs to tighten it up a bit! They did reply to this offering a discount on a stay? It was boiler plate, and there was zero response as to what they will do to fix things, I guess a customer providing advice on what to do doesn't count, its ok, because it will bite em in the backside eventually.
