Nice hotel. Clean. Connects to a mall downstairs. Easily worth it.
Decent rooms and great location. Having to pay for Wi-Fi is frustrating though.
Wonderful hotel, next to River, next to mall and casino
Stayed 4 nights in August 2015 as a Hilton Gold Member. Was upgraded to an Executive Room, on a upper floor with great view of the River. Room was great and maid service was awesome. Received 4 buffet breakfast for $40.00 as well as access to Executive Lounge . Would stay here on any visit to New Orleans.
Room felt a bit dated and the price a little high. Otherwise the location and rest of the hotel is nice. It's conveniently attached to the Riverside mall, which made the walk to the convention center a cooler experience in the summer.
I have stayed at this hotel several times before. The staff is always courteous, the rooms are always clean, and it is in such a great location. Sometimes when I visit New Orleans, I will park my car in their garage because I know it will be safe and the hotel is located so close to the French Quarter, convention center, and the Riverwalk.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff are all courteous. The biggest disappointment for me to that there is a charge to use the gym.
Excellent location -right in the heart of New Orleans. Everything from service to food and accommodations is top notch
Had to stay at this hotel for business. Would not stay there again. At time of booking I requested a quiet room, after a long check in process I went to my room to find it was an internal room overlooking the very noisy atrium where the bars, restaurants, and reception was. Asked to be given a new room, was given what they subsequently called a "parlour" room which though huge I found only had a sofa bed and no proper bed. I then again requested a room with a proper bed which they could only given me the next day. The hotel is beside the Mississippi and a railway line. At night your sleep is disturbed by the horn from passing boats and trains, so suffered with poor sleep for the whole stay. The hotel felt very "public" with no controlled access to the hotel or guest room floors, so did not feel secure.
Great location walking distance to convention center close to action in town
Beautiful hotel, there is a shopping area attached. Will definitely stay here again.
I was only at the Hilton for an event in the ballrooms, but everything I saw of the hotel was lovely. The staff we're friendly and the lobby area was very inviting.
This is absolutely one of the best places to stay in NOLA. I personally did not stay here though. I attended the conference here. All the amenities are just perfect. The staffs are so helping. The location is good. You can get a cab so easily to commute to the airport or the French quarter. Even you can walk towards the French quarter / Jackson square from here. There is shopping mall right beside. So if you are getting bored somehow, you know where to go.
Very bad service. No microwave , uncomfortable beds , a lady put everything in system wrong we had to pay extra fee. Really expensive and bad.
Nice hotel. The layout of the hotel is awkard. You go up an escalator and then walk across a long walk way to get to the elevators that take you to the room. It's inconvenient when you have luggage and am tired from walking.
We had a great experience at Hilton Riverside. A nice room with a view of the river, quiet, even though they were the hotel for a college football teams and their fans. Great restaurants. Plenty of parking and rooms available. Service was fantastic!
Great location for the Convention Center. You can walk outside and save some time or walk through the outlet mall that connects the two places. Clean rooms and friendly staff!
The place could use some attention to detail and a good chef. The food was not impressive. Not a local flavor in any meal. The staff could not get dietary needs correct and didn't understand even with instructions. The meeting space was nice.
The Hilton New Orleans Riverside was a place. We enjoyed our stay.
Decent rooms. Close to everything we needed. No troubles.
Friendly staff. Nice location. The usual charge for everything type hotel though.
My husband and I have traveled to and lodged in much nicer hotels. For it being a Hilton property in an excellent location on the river in New Orleans, one would think the hotel would have major upgrades. The amenities are nice and the mall attached to it is also nice. The hotel is located near all the main attractions on Canal Street and just a few blocks from the French Quarter. The service is excellent, too. We will return.
Great location. Drago's restaurant and bar staff are awesome. Shout out to Bartender Michelle who took great care of my crew. Excellent shopping connected to hotel, Riverwalk. Casino across the street.
Absolutely amazing hotel! Great service and very welcoming. You can see the Carnival Cruise Ship if you get a river view room. Will be staying there Labor Day weekend with lots of new business teammates.
What a great hotel with all those wonderful amenities. I had a great time here. This is a definite recommend for anyone that wants to visit New Orleans.
Good convenient location, good views, very good conference facilities.
The hallway smells like burning plastic. I really like that housekeeping called to make sure I didn't want the room made up. it is such a confusing configuration. but location makes conferences very convenient. I can shop and eat without going outside.
Somewhat comical that this is labeled as a "4-star, high-end hotel". It is definitely not high-end nor would I consider it 4-star. The rooms are dated and run-down. The air conditioner doesn't work well, the room was often excessively humid even with the air running constantly, mini fridge worked poorly, in-room coffee was terrible, buying bottled water was a must as the tap water wasn't palatable, beds/pillows were cheap and uncomfortable, and wifi was spotty at best. Everything in the hotel was grossly overpriced. Overall, disappointing.
Horrible check in system. Never had to wait so long. The location is great. But good luck trying to figure out how to park the first time you go.. Its a cluster.
The parking is pricey at $45/day and the quality of the accommodations we're a bit underwhelming considering the price as well. The grout in the shower/tub was decaying and the room service strangely didn't get to my room until around 4:00 pm. No complimentary breakfast. But a solid location in the city.
Attended a professional event. Good food and clean meeting area
Great location, good service, beautiful and spacious rooms. Flr a conference like hotel this place has a bit of everything. Across the street from Harrah's, close to French Quarter, the cruise terminal, and fancy restaurants, and it includes a walkway to the outlet mall, too. Also has some great restaurants inside (Drago's, Public Belt, etc). And right next to the aquarium, too!
Fast checkin & the room was very clean. Good location. Will definitely stay here again next time.
Wife and I love it. View of the river and baby loves to see the big boats. We will try and become regulars.
Anniversary surprise got there chocolate strawberries were suppose to be in the room. They Wasn't. Sink stopped up had to be fixed. Bathtub stopped up. They had to be called 2x before anyone came to fix it. Up gradedd for a view near the water didn't happen View sucked. But they made sure the 1000.00 bill was delivered bright and early.. Shame on the Hilton.
Great location right on the end of Poydras. it was really easy to park there's bourbon right down the street very friendly atmosphere lots of fun. I really enjoyed the themed rooms after different street names.
Good location walking distance to everything. Excellent friendly service.
Attended for a conference and it has been a great experiences. They offer many rooms with plentiful space. Great staff!
Love the stay , love the service, and the rooms were amazing
We had a lot of noise from the elevator. Day and night.
Good hotel. Well located. Breakfast just about OK. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. We didn't have any housekeeping on our 2 night stay!!
Broken door latch, broken bathroom tiles, 20$+ breakfast, paid WiFi, old TVs, unsafe not up-to-code shower (water starts scalding, even at coldest setting), loose power outlets (wake up and surprise, your phone never charged). Not worth it.
For $259 I got a small room with no free internet. After I left they charged me $45 extra for who knows what. Do not stay here. When I called their customer service about the additional charge, they had no record of me staying. Do not stay at this hotel. Don't even bother staying at any other Hilton hotels.
Hotel could use an update in the rooms. Think it is trusting on it's name too much
Hotel is clean, beds are ok.. housekeeping was inattentive..too busy on phone when we asked for extra blanket..never showed up with blanket.
The Hilton hosts many conventions - so it stays busy with conventioneers. It's across from Harrah's and conviently located near the Riverwalk and Canal Street Streetcar station. About a 15-20 min walk to the French Quarter. Drago's is located in the Hilton - try their charboilled oysters!
Great hospitality and amenities. Front desk customer service is fantastic.
Anyone who says the rooms aren t dumps is lying to you. I was with several friends who each had their own rooms and the carpets in each were filthier than in the halls. The internet in terrible and the tv reception for Monday Night Football was non-exsistent. The Hotel said it was due to the rain. Apparently they are still operating on 1990 s technology. Come on Hilton...at least try a little. If your coming to New Orleans STAY ANYWHERE ELSE.
Great location offering tons of convenience. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is super friendly and always happy to assist. Access to riverfront/mall and the option to self park are huge plusses. Within walking distance of the French Quarter and tons of other attractions for all ages.
Took a bit for them to clean the rooms and bring things like tp to us. But it's a pretty but kinda of dated place. The staff in the lobby were super helpful and nice
Had breakfast at an industry group Meetup here. Amenties are nice however navigtaing around the hotel was confusing.
Osters were amazing service was on point. Great visit
The hotel is nice and very large. The room is nice, but dated with a small bathroom. The river view is very good. The riverwalk outlet is a mall, ...not in a goodway.
A group of friends and I went to Drago's in the Hilton for lunch. The charbroiled oysters were amazing.
My king size executive room is not very large all things considered. The executive lounge has a wonderful views and some awesome food but space is limited up there when busy. Overall enjoying my stay.
Amazing service and room!! Concierge staff were very helpful too. We were very impressed with the room overall. The water pressure in the room was low but as expected for hotels. Trolly was right outside the front doors which made getting around super easy!! Definitely would stay here again!!
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. First of all it took over an hour to check in, when we finally got to the front desk there was no apology for our wait or anything. It took at least 15 minutes for each person to receive their room keys. It was the Sugar Bowl weekend and only 4 people were working the front desk when there were at least 7 other empty computers workers could have been at! If you're going to advertise as a place to accommodate that many people then you better make sure you have enough workers to check everyone in a timely manner. Second of all, don't charge your room for parking because your key won't work when you get to the parking garage and you'll end up paying for it anyways. Witnessed several people having to do this. When I called to get it taken care of, operator just told me it would be taken care of and didn't ask for my name or anything. She just hung up the phone. After calling again a few days later, I was transferred to a front desk employee who was equally unfriendly. The Marriott has a lot better customer service if you're looking for somewhere to stay in New Orleans. Not here.
Triple charged for our room stay even though we paid in advance. Horrible service all around, at Drago s, at Public Belt. If you want something to drink, bring your own because you won t even see a water come your way. Unless you ve got an hour to spare. 2 towels for 3 day stay with 4 people. No body wash in the shower. Key stopped working at 3am, so we sat on the ground waiting for a security guard for 10 minutes before having to go back down to the desk and complain more. And the icing on the cake, we were told they don t give guests carts to bring their luggage down. Have to pay for a bellhop.
Elegant environment, very relaxing. Enjoyed night out
Nice hotel but the staff at the front desk are not much help.
Room was small and bathroom as well. Shreveport/Bossier Hilton was Aces compared to New Orleans.
Great parking and it was convenient that I was connected to the mall on the rainy day!
Ate at Dragos. Food was not bad but a but pricey. Decor was nice.
I ll give this a 3 star because the hotel is very clean. Some workers polite. Small few at front desk woke up in the wrong side of the bed. If not a seafood eater like my wife menu at restaurant not good. Bar menu very limited. Get a mixed drink at the bar and u will not be able to drink it. Bartenders over pour. Have to be losing money. Also expensive. Best for last. Be prepared to get woken up at least twice early morning hours because for the freight train between the buildings and the blow the horn.
The city's largest hotel KNOWS how to treat you right.
Close to the "action" of New Orleans. Walking distance to the casino, Bourbon Street, Canal Street, Jackson Square, the aquarium and more! The hotel rooms are quite comfortable and the price is reasonable. Will definitely stay here again.
Very nice hotel. I had dinner at Drago's and it was delicious. Would come back
For a convention hotel is great. Staff makes it because room size wont
Beautiful Hotel. Very nice rooms. Had dinner at Drago's and it was magnificent! This will be one of our regular dinner spots from now on!
I stayed at Hilton New Orleans Riverside from March 22, 2019 - March 27, 2019. I was bitten by bed bugs.
Everyone has been so helpful, kind, courteous, professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I am enjoying my stay.
Lovely hotel. Situated nicely. Well staffed. One of my favorite places to stay when in New Orleans
Hotel is huge and within walking distance to many attractions. Across the lobby is the outlet mall. Rooms are smaller than the average Hilton room. There is a train track right next to the hotel which can cause some noise.
The room was clean. The staff is friendly & helpfull.
Excellent location for downtown New Orleans. Close to port for cruisers leaving for cruises. Lots of options near by for shopping and eating.
Hilton riverside is at an excellent location if you are attending the convention centre, 5mins walk.
Public belt bar was great. The servers generally we're very helpful, especially with suggesting drinks and asking what our tastes were. Only one seemed aloof, maybe he was having an off day, but it did come off as rude from time to time. Otherwise the other servers checked on us regularly, and made sure we were having a good time.
Great meal, Oysters were great. Atmosphere was interesting.
This hotel was very classy. Although my time the was only for a short time I could see that the staff was very personal and accommodating. The meeting rooms were very nice and spacious.
This hotel was lovely! The rooms were very comfortable, although the tv had a guide that was not very user friendly. The location was excellent, with many food options in very close proximity and there is a skywalk that leads straight to the mall. Ultimately, this is another great hotel close to the Quarter and close to all sorts of fun - family friendly and otherwise.
I reserved a room months ago for a conference I'm attending starting today, and got an email last night at 10 pm saying that they oversold and they're moving me to another hotel that's further from my conference, and I seem to have no say in this situation. WHAT? This is completely unacceptable. Their customer service has also been terrible.
