Jay has watched the transition from my wife and I being the car buyers to our children starting to buy cars, and through all of that time we keep going back thanks to Jay's sincere attention to our needs. We hit a bump when it was discovered that the flexible maintenance care contract actually significantly understates the services that the dealership provides. The team responded fully and professionally to the concern. In order to avoid similar misunderstandings with future customers, it will be up to Hendrick Autoguard, Inc. (a separate company) to revise the contract to reflect the services actually provided by the dealership.

We bought our Honda Odyssey from Ned Hindi. We were debating between the Pilot and Odyssey, Ned assisted in providing some key differences between both from perspective of family usage. This helped us choose Odyssey. He was not pushing us during the whole process or hurrying us, he patiently answered all the questions.
He also followed up after the purchase of vehicle to make sure everything is good with the van and if any further assistance is required. Overall great service by this dealership.

I've been going to Hendrick Honda off South Blvd. ...

I've been going to Hendrick Honda off South Blvd. for almost 3 years now and it seems like every time things get worse and worse. I usually arrive 5-10 minutes before my scheduled appointment time to ensure they can have the car in the garage by the time of my appointment. My first time was excellent, they completed the work I scheduled the appointment for and were punctual. The second time they took a little longer than expected but still seemed to get things taken care of without issue. Each time after that I have needed to track someone down to find out what is going on with my car. When I spoke with someone yesterday asking why my car wasn't complete they said they would check and then came back to me 8 minutes later and said it was already complete and I was good to go. I got to the register to check out and the lady told me she didn't have any paperwork for me and they would need to find out what was going on. 10 minutes later they bring me my paperwork and I can finally check out. I understand shops can get behind on things but when I am told the service will not take more than an hour, I expect to be checking out in an hour. If things pop up that require more time, speak with me about it and let me know what is going on so that I feel as though you actually care about my time. One final annoyance, they always adjust the seat and, occasionally, even the mirrors and never put things back. I will likely be switching to a different location based on the last 3 service appointments. Very disappointing.

This was the easiest, most enjoyable car buying experience I have ever had. They don't mess around when it comes to pricing, making the sale, and getting you out the door in what you came for. I live 5 hours away and had been shopping for weeks when I came across this dealership. I had solid numbers within a few minutes for my trade in, the car I wanted to purchase, and from financing as well. Everything was ready and prepared for me as soon as I got to the dealership. I was in and out in about an hour in my brand new car! These people really care about their customers and they definitely have my loyalty now as well. John Tatum was absolutely wonderful throughout the whole process. He kept in touch with me, made sure I was happy with the purchase when I finally arrived and was very courteous and prompt the whole time. There was nothing but smiling employees when I got there, and everyone was so helpful! Choose these guys, they're amazing!

Just purchased #7 last week. Gus and Greg gave my wife a great deal on a new Odyssey. She flipped out of her 2008 into a 2012 and is very happy. Another great experience from the Hendrick guys.

Just purchased my 6th automobile from the Hendrick guys. Greg, Gabe, Matthew & Chuck did a great job putting together a deal I could not refuse. I'm a customer for life! If you are in the market for an automobile, you have to stop by and talk to the guys at Hendrick Honda. Great experience from start to finish.

My wife called ahead to have her Acura MDX 105k service done. I brought her car in around lunch time, the gentlemen she spoke with had everything setup and sent me down to the enterprise rentel car shop down the hill to pick up the loaner. The only issue I had was at enterprise - it took 10 minutes to drop the car off and get a ride down, but then took 90 minutes to get the rental car. At Hendrick Acura and South Charlotte Nissan, they both have their own loaner vehicle fleet, and only get rentals when they are out. Service was done correctly and for a comparable price as Firestone.

This is a mixed review ....

This is a mixed review ....

Chip is an awesome salesperson! He was very attentive and really listened to your feedback. He stayed with me throughout the whole process and made sure I had all my questions answered.

Now for the not so good part. Hendrick Honda's buying process, in general, is broken. Once I finally picked a car, it took 6 hours to get everything signed and done! SIX HOURS! And this is nothing to do with haggling or my credit worthiness. It mostly was because of detailing the car. Once the papers were signed, it was another almost 2 hours to pick the car up (that's after Chip took it back an hour earlier in hopes of it being done quickly).

Be prepared to spent all day here if you go to buy a car. Hendrick should evaluate their process because not only is 6 hours ridiculous for a customer, but a salesperson to wait that long without being able to make another sale is bad for them.

Service advisors use high pressure upsells for ve...

Service advisors use high pressure upsells for vehicle repairs - often questionable. I have paid thousands in repair costs for work that may not have been necessary. Recently I went in for an oil change and was given a repair bill for $2800 - which was reduced to S2400 because of some duplicate labor charge and the service advisor said he would 'take care of' the rental. The service advisor described the repair as urgent and that oil could splash onto the timing belt. I asked if the oil was low - he said no and it only leaked when the car was running. Since I plan on trading the vehicle in I expressed concern about putting more money into the vehicle. The service advisor said I would get the money back when trading it in. This is false. Several years ago I was told I needed a battery and brakes. I had them both checked out by a mechanic who said they both were okay and both are still functioning today. Will no longer get any recommended repairs done without first getting several opinions and estimates. Since service advisors get paid commission for upsells - buyer beware! It is sad that loyal customers are being taken advantage of to supplement service advisors' salaries. After all of the maintenance issues with Honda I am seriously considering going back to Toyota for my next vehicle.

The dealership, and the sales person, went over and above what I expected. The purchase experience was effortless, and the dealership honored the Costco Auto Program pricing as promised. More, the transaction was done over telephone, and the sales person brought my new car and paperwork to my home. There, the sales person went over the paperwork to be signed, including 0% APR financing, performed a walk-through of the car and satisfied questions I had.

Please do not go to get service at Hendrick Honda!

I had a battery replacement back in Sept. and I was supposed to pay a prorated amount. However, they charged me a full amount. When I contacted them about it, they told me that it was a honest mistake and I would get a refund. I was fine with that at that time. Nobody is perfect.

However, I was naive!

The month has passed by and I still have not received a refund. If I was the one who did not pay enough, I am sure Hendrick Honda would take my money right away!

The service person told me that I could get a free oil change instead of giving me a refund. Why do I do that? I have already lost trust with them. Why would I go back there for?

They are very shady.
The worst customer service ever! I have been a Honda customer for many years, but not any more.

Just purchased my 3rd Honda from here. This time and the last time I worked with JESS JOHNSON. I was looking to upgrade to something larger after having a baby but needed to keep my payments reasonable. I emailed JESS to see what they might have available. She called that afternoon with a great deal. She asked if I wanted to come in for a test drive and I expressed that it would be hard for me to since my baby was napping. She then offered to come to my house instead of me having to go to the dealership with a baby. LOVED this! She came to my house with the vehicle and their offer, ironed out the details over the phone with the manager, and and took the car for a test drive. She took my trade to have it appraised, I went in the next day to sign all the paperwork. It was so painless! Totally the way car buying should be! I'll be back but hopefully not for a while, I love my new CR-V! Oh, and they got my payments within exactly where I needed to be!

A few months ago I started following the release of the Honda Type R. Honda's 306hp race car....never before sold in the USA. As a previous customer at Hendrick, 10 years in two Odyssey minivans, I was given an opportunity to get CTR#1144 in Ralleye Red. Some dealers are marking the car up to astronomical values. Yesterday, I picked it up with "0" dealer mark up. It feels a little like winning the lottery. Thanks to Andrew, Sean, and Jay at Hendrick for rewarding me as a loyal customer. Fantastic! Where do I even begin? When I first bought my certified pre owned accord sport, I paid an obscene amount of money for tire insurrance. Guarantee new tires or tire assistance.

I am an essential worker who works with pain management and had a 10am emergency patient. My rear tire had a nail in it and I got to Honda at 9am. Simple enough, I have the coverage, I could have just gotten a new tire and be on my way in like 10, 15 minutes tops.

No, no the associate I delt with Ryan Johnson, informs me that they would not give me a new tire but instead a patch job that could run 50min to an hr. I explained I had a patient and to please just give me a new tire especially since I PAY FOR IT. He said no, it is a doable fix. I had to cancel my patient, be late to my next patient ( cause I did not get my car back until 10:30 and my next patient was at 11). All because, just like what I pay for, I couldn't just get a new tire. I am grateful the patch job was covered through the same insurrance but none the less, they caused themselves more work doing a patch job than a simple tire. I pay a lot of money for my car and have been to them multiple times. This is inexcusable.

During the process he kept in touch with me to keep me informed and was excellent in all aspects of his job. I have driven 4 Hondas and they have all been great cars! My only regret is buying the Care Care / interior and exterior care contract with our last new car. With that you get a box of cleaning fluid and wax probably worth $35. The salesman told us they would clean the car annually, but that was absolutely bogus. The contract says nothing about cleaning and the service department will tell you that. The contract has LOTS of exclusions, so our vinyl armrest that severely wrinkled is not covered. I would recommend never to buy a Care Care / interior and exterior warranty contract. Save your money for a detail shop or clean it yourself.

Melissa was amazing! This was by far the best experience I have had with purchasing a vehicle! She was patient, easygoing, relatable and knowledgeable! She went well over above and beyond helping my son Elijah ,and myself pick out his first car!!! Starting from showing all of the cars within my sons budget, to explaining to him about all of the bells and whistles that came with the car, test driving the car , all the way up to the purchase of the car! Even once the vehicle was purchased, she was just as excited as I was to see my sons face , when picking up his first vehicle! I will definitely stop by and see her for any future purchases! I had no intention of buying a car from a dealersh...

I had no intention of buying a car from a dealership and was strictly on a scouting mission to test drive a few before i found the best deal online. But after speaking with Mr. Patteson his openness, honesty and complete lack of disingenuous charm, i found myself comfortable doing business with him and can honestly say the next time i need to buy a car i will make a beeline right for his office.

I came with a friend who was buying car, so this review is based on observation. Mr. Roy Mattox was the BOMB! He explained that car bumper to bumper and it was only there for two weeks prior. Talk about knowledge. I started to wonder if I needed to buy a car as well, because he was doing a fantastic job. There was no pressure, and he even gave me a snack bar . Needless to say she got the car, and we smiled the entire time. WOOHOO MR. ROY!

We had to test our car seats in a few cars and Jess was very efficient and professional in helping us determine which cars would work and which would not. We are happy with how everything turned out! I would recommend Hendrick Honda to everybody! All of the staff was so helpful and kind. It was my first experience buying a car and they made it a wonderful one. The staff at Hendrick Honda takes customer service and experience very seriously. Sean, Amanda, and Amael helped this past weekend with the leasing process and George helped the week before that when I decided to test drive a couple of different Hondas. Even if you don't work with any of the people listed above, I promise you will have a great experience there.

On January 15, I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord LX and Paul York was the Sales and Leasing Consultant who walked me through the process. He addressed my concerns and questions and, if he did not have the answer, he immediately sought it out. Paul's follow-up after the sale has also been outstanding. Paul worked with Sean McLane, New Car Sales Mgr., in the process and the deal was wrapped up by Jim Loebrich, Finance Mgr.

The first car I purchased through Hendrick was a 2013 Honda Civic EX and Chris Wilson was the Sales and Leasing Consultant for that one and Dennis Sanford has been my Service Consultant since I started coming to the dealership in 2011.

I continue to use Hendrick Honda as my dealership of choice because of the consistent concern, interest and professionalism on the part of all the people mentioned in particular as well as that of their associates. It's obvious, based upon my experience, why Hendrick Honda is #1.

I never imagined buying a car would be so easy and such a positive experience! Before Hendrick Honda I started my search out at a little used car lot where I was immediately dismissed and disrespected . I felt extremely pressured and honestly they couldn't even get my name right. The second I walked through the doors of Hendrick Mellissa greeted me immediately with a bright smile. Instantly I felt comfortable. She was GENUINE, open and honest with me from the start, and patient. Showing me great options but not overwhelming me. Once narrowing down on a car they did not once pressure me and were completely understanding of my situation. Dorian walked me through financing questions. They ensured the car was in the best condition! The next day they answered every possible question. I truly felt comfortable making the decision. Chris walked me through all the paperwork while again answering all my questions she went over the warranty options, which is a huge peace of mind. I picked up a beautiful vehicle that evening. I cannot express enough how grateful I am! Being my first car purchase I was nervous due to some pretty terrible experiences. I highly recommend saving yourself time, stress, and frustration and starting at Hendrick Honda. I will only use these folks in the future. Thank you so much to everyone!!!

I can t say enough great things about the team I worked with-Sean and Sam in Sales and Brad in Financing. Also, the group in the Collision Center. From start to finish they treated me, a single woman who had just had her car stolen and totaled , with respect and professionalism along with compassion and honesty. If I could give them a negative 1 star I would. I recently purchased an Acura ilx from this dealer and my experience with them as a whole was horrible to say the least. While test driving the car I asked the salesman if the car had been maintenanced since they had it. He said yes and that all of the used cars that arrive there get all maintenance on them before being put on the lot for sale. I was stereotyped as soon as I sat down to discuss the purchase of the car. I am a black woman coming in alone to inquire about a purchase and instead of him asking how I was planning on handling my purchase I was asked what's my social Security number. He immediately assumed I was needing there financial services. I had to inform him that I already have financing. If I was a white man I would have never had been immediately asked for my social. From there I was pressured for over an hour for me to accept financing from them which was not in my best interest. Still wanting the car I asked if I could drive it for a day or so to be sure that it was what I wanted. They allowed it. I took the car for a pre purchase inspection and found out that there was some things I should bring to there attention before I purchased the car. I gave the salesman the printed list of things I needed fixed before I purchased the car as I didn't want to have to put money into repairs immediately after purchasing it. He asked if I had time today to have the repairs done and I said yes. After waiting over 2hrs in the waiting area the salesman came out and said that all of the repairs where done. After that I proceeded with the purchase of the car. About 3 weeks later the light for the oil change came on. That's when I knew I was lied to about all the cars being maintenanced before getting onto the lot. I took the car in for the oil change and during the oil change is when I was informed that one of the repairs that was requested be fixed before the purchase was never fixed leaving me with the responsibility of getting it repaired. I called the salesman to address the issue and he denied being told about the situation before hand and refused to even own up to us discussing it before hand. I also spoke with the manager of that location about the situation and instead of him offering to get down to the bottom of what happened he rudely said to me that if you're that unhappy with the car just bring us our car back. I was caught off guard with his response. I am now at Hendrick Acura getting the repair done on my car and the technician again informed me of some of the other repairs that they told me was fixed has never been done. I am so extremely disappointed with this dealership. I feel they took advantage of me and to add insult to injury they are extremely rude. They're main concern was to get the check from me by all means necessary. They completely lied about the repairs that they said they did and no one is willing to help resolve the issue in any way. I will NEVER refer anyone to this place!

I recently had my car in for repairs (issue with heating system). Due to the holidays, there was a very long wait time...dispite having an appointment.
I really appreciated the caring and attentive attitude of Lori Sparrow. She kept me updated on the progress of my car and apologized for the delay. It was determined that a part had to be ordered and would not arrive until the next day. Lori helped me secure a rental car which the dealership covered.
I have always purchased my cars at Hendrick Honda on South Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. One of the main reasons is that I trust the service department with check ups and needed repairs and would not go anywhere else.
Thanks to Lori Sparrow and all the other dedicated sales, service and maintenance technicians...what an amazing group of people!

I came to see a car in your dealership for one of my friend, it supposed to be just a visit, we were just looking not actually ready, but you made it possible for us to buy that new Honda civic 2012 due to your beautifull customer service and we bought, I am really impress by your customer service, it was not easy to decide but you made it easy and you were really helpfull, you explain everything in a nice and simple way, about car and then milage and warrenty and all other important things about cars.
In short all I can say you were really helpfull, and in futur I am looking for new navigation Honda civic and I will come see you agian for buying that car, you were entertaining us with your funny jokes, and I have a friend he will buy a new car also, so for thar I will make sure that he come see you, and after you every staff memeber was nice, Honda is always best in the world and there service , there dealership nice organzied, I have been to kia dealer ship, but i will be honest with you there service was not good and there dealer were not helpfull, I did not like it.
