Lovely gardens and surrounding landscape. Hotel is an old gem, but requires a touch up in areas. We had a buffet at the hotel and it was very underwhelming for the price. Look for dinner elsewhere.

The rooms are small and in desperate need of an update, it is a considerable sum to pay for what you get. Most of the employees were friendly, however I did witness a staff member get into a heated argument with a group of customers at the restaurant over breakfast. I was unimpressed at how under staffed and unorganized they were at such a busy time in the morning. We were also supposed to get our breakfast included in our room price but were charged in the end. They are nicer hotels at a better price in Harrison hot springs other than this, less than mediocre establishment.

We have been going to HHSR for decades and it has a special charm. Afternoon tea, fine dining at the copper room and soaking in the various indoor and outdoor hot pools make this resort an amazing year round destination.

I ve stayed here twice and both times it has been a terrible check in experience. The hotel is dated and The front of house staff seems to be either over worked or has no experience dealing with customers. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstance. Zero stars.

What a great place to visit. Located at the edge of a picturesque lake Harrison, the hot springs pools are surrounded my mountains. The pools are clean and of a decent size. Those seeking a more tranquil place, there is a pool for adults only that is also slightly warmer. Too bad the springs are only accessible to the hotel guests. Family suits offer privacy and are great for families with kids.

A fabulous resort with really friendly staff and the facilities are wonderful. The breakfast is really well done and the seating is great. Parking is easily accessible in the rear. The hot springs pool is so peaceful and you have a nice walking area around the resort as well. You could easily go hiking all around or walk along the beach. There is a weight room as well as an indoor hot springs on rainy days.

Room was spacious and had working A/C, beds were comfortable. Pools were warm and excellent, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking a bit tough but it was free for two cars with the stay so can't fault them for that on a busy weekend.

There was a problem with our room which we brought up at check out. The customer service supervisor was very professional and took care of our room charges and a few other things. Very impressed with their service.

Good things:

Staff was great all around
Morning buffet was tasty, much more quality than other buffets we've been to before.
Pools were nice & relaxing for most part, nice lights at night.
Copper Restaurant was decent, very pretty, had live music and a space for dancing. Our server was fantastic!
Has a decent amount of lounge areas
Cafe is pleasant and has a variety of pastries and sandwiches.
Robes are provided for the stay along with a large amount of towels! Didn't have to request extra.
Drying line in shower for your swimsuit

Meh things (not really bad, just not great):

Pools in general (adult pool especially) gets very crowded so we spent most of our time in the family pool (though kids get kicked out of the family pool for the last hour 10pm-11 so that hour is quiter)
The room wasn't anything special, felt just like any regular hotel room.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go again.

We had a good time with the children, but the smell of the hot spring was so bad that some of the people around us could not see it. There were people talking about Lax. After the hot spring, the children's eyes are red and they seem to put a lot of rocks in the body.

Kiddie water spray area, 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool and a large indoor "hottub" to choose from. Adult pool and time restrictions make for a good time without the kids if you want a quiet time alone with your significant other. There is a strong chlorine mix in the outdoor pools so bring your goggles if swimmimg underwater.

Attended for a work event. Room was clean. Was in tower facing the pool, facing the pool. It was very noisy (Friday Night) until 11 pm when the outdoor pool closed. Something to consider when booking your room.

The hotel and amenities are actually very old and outdated. The only thing that seems remotely renovated to current standards is the lobby. There is no AC in the rooms. For the rates they charge it's absolutely a rip off.

Fantastic time spent at the resort. Pools were so warm, both my boys loved it!
Definitely a wonderful place to spend quality family time together.
Would be five stars if the bathroom in our room was not smelling like sour old dish cloths!

I used to come fairly often with my mom, but this time I went with my boyfriend. Restaurant staff were nice and polite as per usual, but front desk seemed unsure about us, or so it seemed. Unfortunately, all indoor pools were closed as well as their gym and spa, which are some of the big pros to this place. With all of those closed, you would expect a price drop, but it was still fairly expensive. Not to mention our bathroom specifically was very old even though we were in the East Wing which is apparently the newer side (I would attach videos of our lights flashing before turning on but I can only post pictures). We went to get drinks from the vending machine because we didn t want to drink from the tap in the bathroom and neither machine was working (drink AND snack) which was weird considering the drink machine said it was closing? Compared to other times I ve stayed here, it was super disappointing. I wouldn t suggest coming here

arrived midweek on a Tuesday early and our room was available. 5th floor W wing pool view w/ buffet breakfast. room had 2 queen beds with lots of space if you bring a lot of luggage, had 2 closets. service was ok, the only thing going for this resort is really the hot springs because the breakfast is really overpriced unless you get it with your resort package.

Fantastic family getaway overall. The pools are exceptional, especially early in the morning when quiet. Large carpeted (!) gym down the road where you can play soccer, hockey, foosball, pool or badminton. Drop-in theatre, comfortable lounge for hanging out by the fire to play a board game or read. Great lounge for the adults. HOWEVER... the rooms are in dire need of updating. It s as if Mgmt has decided people are there for the pools and they can let the rooms slide. For the premium prices charged, this isn t good enough. Also- this is a town where you pay $1.50 for an apple at the local store down the road, and that pricing is reflected almost everywhere in Harrison, so if you care about value for your $, bring a cooler, kettle and cookware.

The hot springs are nice and relaxing. Management is really helpful and nice. The best part was the adult only pool. They let you bring drinks in, even your own drinks. The worst part was the rooms. The walls and floors are paper thin. I could hear conversations next door (indoor voice) over the earbuds I had in! This happened all night, even from 4am to 6am. Anyone walking heavy can also rumble the hallways. Beds are decent. For the price you pay I'd expect a little more in the quality of the rooms. Don't forget flip flops. If you did like me, it's $7 to buy new ones which isn't terrible. Can't comment on the food but it looked expensive. Overall, I'd give this place a 3 and a half star rating.

The rooms were a tad outdated but honestly - we're not too picky about that. I went here for my bday and it was so nice to get away from the city. The view was spectacular and the hot springs were fun to jump into after the sun went down :).

This is a spa? Hotel is dog friendly so the hallways to your room reek of the animals. Add lots of children to that mix to complete the scene. Overcrowded pools in the evening since there is nothing else to do here. Rooms are mediocre and not worth the price. How nice that they provide you with a coffee maker in the room! The option is to use tap water or open the bottled water for $2.25 . This place is a rip-off and a huge disappointment.

It is absolutely overrated, both the pools and the hotel.
I paid $230 (with GST) for one night in the peak season. I had to book it 2 weeks in advance, because it was extremely busy. No one told me in advance that parking is $10 extra.
We got the cheapest (and smallest) room possible, with no air condition. At least there was a fan in the room.

In the bathroom the toilet paper wasn't changed and the rod, which was supposed to hold the towels, came of all the time by the slightest touch. There were no bathrobes in the room either, we had to wait 20 minutes to get one.

The receptionists, waiters and waitresses were nice and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent in the next morning.

Pools. Oh gosh. Even though it is written on the wall of the inside pools that PLEASE BE QUIET, literally no one takes it seriously. Children are left there without supervision and dive into the deep water. Of course, there is a big sign says no diving. That's very poor from the hotel's part that they don't take care at all what happens in the inside pools.

While sitting in the adult pool outside, I heard an employee nagging someone "please no sex in the pool." Something similar would be great to be applied in the inside pool area as well.

There is a lovely Japanese garden outside, and plenty of space for nothing, if there was a dry sauna there, because there is NONE, it would be probably appreciated by the public.

We are repeat customers and was amused at the reviews. If you want
Quiet and few kids just go in the winter.
This is a classic resort and enjoy it for what it is. Take the grandkids in summer and husband in the winter, for a quiet romantic get a way . Mid week is also quieter.
Having said that, the one thing is true. Kids and loud groups in the adult pool area is unacceptable. It is true the security guards need to be more responsive to that.
If you choose the old part of the hotel , as we do, don't expect the top notch suite. Just relax, enjoy the pools, and the lobby .

Good service and a great experience at the hot springs themselves, only problem is they tend to nickel and dime you for small things. Other than that, a wonderful weekend at the Harrison hot springs.

A Wonderful and relaxing Experience. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room service is impeccable, and location is immaculate.

In my opinion, the rooms, especially bathrooms, could be upgraded as they look old-fashioned. Also, the pools get a little too busy in the evenings so there is some room for improvement on this issue as well.

Overall experience, 5 star

I drove 2 hours to use the actual hotsprings not the indoor pool. But to use the actual hot spring you gotta spend over 100$ to use the hot springs. I don't think people want to drive over an hour and spend 100$ just to sit in a pool for one or maybe two hours. This is just wrong people are to greedy. Funny thing I'd if they opened the hot spring pool to the public they make way more money.

Our last few visits have not been as advertised by them as a "relaxed romantic retreat". No staff regulates the indoor pools.. It clearly states no jumping or diving along with all children must be adult supervised and to remain quiet as the experience is for relaxation. However was the complete opposite. Kids jumping and splashing and screaming with no adults around. Yet no staff to enforce the rules... You pay top dollar to come to this resort to relax and not be surrounded by unaccompanied children. You might as well visit a children's waterpark. Same environment. Our room was in the main hotel which we were aware that they are the more cost effective rooms however our sheets had stains on them, no robes in the room and remotes were taped to keep batteries in and you had to squeeze the back in order to press the button to get the light on... That is not a fun thing to deal with when you walk into your room in the evening soaking wet trying to turn your light on in the pitch black. I did give the resort 2 stars because the adult pool(early morning and late evenings not during the day) were wonderful.

It seems to be riding on the coat tails of its surroundings. Harrison lake is beautiful amd the hot springs are relaxing. The hotel itself is nothing to be desired. Highly overpriced for what you recieve. The rooms are clean but havent been updated since being built in the 90's. Beds are hard and bathrooms quite small. Anything outside of the lobby and main areas are dingy and old. Even the hot springs during the day is nothing special as the surrounding buildings are dirty and unkempt. At night the darkness hides all that and it is a lovely place. The copper room was a very nice experience of live music and fine dining. The lakeside cafe was also quite good for a buffet. But again the decor in both settings is extremely outdated. Overall its a mixed bag. If you can ignore the facade of the buildings its not a bad getaway, but if you are looking for modern i would maybe take your business elsewhere.

I am a single parent and not too long ago I would be able to afford to bring my boys here for one night once a year. The prices have since doubled at least but the service has not and the accommodations are less well cared for. I can't see us being able to afford something my children very much looked forward to again. It's very sad.

Disappointed how our stuff was moved to another room when we still had a day left at the resort, but in the end, they apologized and made it right.

If you're not there in the summer, i suggest getting the walkout pool rooms if you have children. it gets cold at night and being able to run into your room is great.

Room was great. Staff very friendly - showed us to our room. Made sure we had everything we needed. Brought my dog who was welcomed everywhere in town. He loved running the beach and slept well in our room. Check in was allowed 2 hours early which we really appreciated. Easy check out at 11. Only downside was there is no pool but your steps away from the public pool. I'd definately go stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in the east wing (which are the newest rooms of the building) on the 7th floor for 2 nights. Upon arrival shortly before our check in time we were allowed to go up to our room. Our room was stocked with 6 towels, which is great because you need them for the pool and your showers. Unfortunately one towel had a weird stain on it, and our room had no pool robes provided, so we called down and within only a few short minutes they brought up extra towels and our robes! Very nice about it!
We found that even though we were staying in the newest rooms of the hotel, it still seemed like it was on the verge of looking dated. But the hot spring pools make it worth the trade off. The king bed was fairly comfortable for myself being pregnant; sheets could've been softer. The WiFi kept disconnecting from my phone, but not my husband's. The movies to rent on the TV were all about 17.99!! Which I think is craazy expensive because it's not like paying for the theatre and getting a theatre experience. Next time I would bring some of my own movies on my laptop with an HDMI cable.

We also booked a couple's massage (they do have pregnancy pillows for a massage) and it was very relaxing.

The hot spring pools should be monitored a little better especially in the indoor pool which has a big sign that says this place and pool are intended for quiet relaxation, and there is to be no jumping, or any disturbing behaviour, however kids were doing it all the time with nothing said by the staff. There's a big pool outside that seemed appropriate for that type of behaviour, but nothing was being said by the parents or staff which was really annoying.

Overall we had a wonderful, nearly perfect time.

If you thought spa and hot springs would be relaxing, you would be very wrong. The hotel is overcrowded. 40+ minute wait to check in, the pools are packed. Even the adult pool. It is not monitored so expect splashing children in the adult pool too. The scenery is beautiful. We did some wonderful hikes and got away from the crowds and constant screaming coming from the floating water park. If you have children with you, it will keep them busy. If you are looking for a quiet get away, try anywhere else.
