Great place to visit, just check where your room may be situated. It may cost more for a room with a better view but it could be worth it. Great boat tour. Fun place to see!!!
I ve always heard good reviews about this hotel and wanted to check it out myself! I finally had the opportunity to take my family there. I must say the only good thing about this hotel was the outdoor pool. This hotel is a DIVE! The hallway and room carpets are full of stains and the building is outdated! For the amount they charge per night you would think they could invest a little back into the hotel. During my stay in the hallway just down from our room was some kind of leak as a 6ft wide section of the carpet was soaking wet! I can only hope it was clean water as the hotel only had a orange cone over it to warn people. Due to Covid there wasn t much to do at night so my family decided to watch a pay per view movie. Most pay per view movies average from $5.99 to maybe $12.99. Not Harrison Hot Spring Resort! All pay per view movies there are $24.99! That s insane! Such a rip off. I ll definitely be telling friends and family to stay clear away from this hotel!
It s a nice place to go to for a getaway - one night stay - if you live in Vancouver. The pools are very nice but could be hotter. I wish they had a pool that is ice cold like at the scandinave spa. The hotel could also use an update.
Good service and good food. Main beach and market are a short walk away
pools and gym were great, definitely pricey for main hotel offering, main hotel has no AC and is overall very very old, this is a room you will find in 1990s so don't reserve for main hotel if you are here for that hotel experience, you will be very disappointed, the phone operator Jenna was fast at helping out the shower clogging, the engineer came in and fixed it right away
The place was beautiful, from the pools to the food and service was amazing! Then there were the rooms...tiny, outdated, overpriced!
Came for our anniversary over the labour day long weekend. We were with our 2 year old. It was a great trip! Not too busy and the weather was nice. The hot spring was so warm and it was a gradual entry, perfect for my son. The room was clean with a lake view and quiet at night. I will definitely come back.
Rooms need a little updating, debit card policy a bit silly but great brunch, scenery, cozy common areas and fabulous pools.
I was a guest at this hotel on July 19, 2020. After driving for several hours and planning our day according to check ins etc we arrive a little after 4 to them saying that our room was not ready and they didn t know when it would be. We definitely understand with COVID that things are taking longer than expected to clean properly however if we had notice we would have adjusted our day however we received no email or call advising us of the delay. The hotel did offer wrist bands to use the hot springs right away. I had my 7 year old daughter with me who was not a registered guest as she was going back to her moms later that evening. When asked if she could join us in the hot springs i was told no she could not. I explained that we weren t expecting the delay, she was very dis-regulated and water calmed her down, she is autistic and down syndrome and a small child, I indicated that she would only splash around for a small bit and we were still denied. Instead we sat with three kids in a lobby for 3 hours as we didn t get into our room until after 7 pm. By this time my daughter was so dis-regulated she had to leave with her mom early. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication and accommodation from this hotel.
I really enjoyed our little getaway...I just wish they had kitchens in the rooms so we didn't have to go eat out all the time ..
Great rooms, great staff, and the Hot Spring pool is fantastic!
Always enjoy this place. We stayed in the older building as it's closer to the pools. The rooms are quite old and don't really have plugs for devices. This met my expectations as I have stairs in these rooms before but it may be a shock for someone who has not been. I think the trade off for the closeness of the pools is worth it. The pools are still the same as they have been the large outside cold pool the kids pool the adults pool and the two indoor pools. I went into the adult pool and the indoor pools. Both were clean and warm enjoyed the water and soaking. It was busy on the weekend but dies down during the weekdays which was nice. We also went to the spa and got a couples massage it was a good massage.
For improvement it's more about their policies they do not allow late check-out which I would gladly pay for. Also their check in is pretty late at 4pm.
Rooms were very rough and old. The pools were extensive and nice but not super clean. Probably a good family place but not an ideal or peaceful couples getaway.
Wonderful place for a 2-night getaway. Stunning location, great hot pools, and super friendly staff. Rooms may be a tad dated, but very clean, so no complaints in that regard from me. We did the breakfast buffet in the hotel and drinks by the pool and both were great.
Excellent relaxing getaway, quick drive from Vancouver. The rooms are cleaned often as well as the pools which stay clean and orderly. Always have a pleasant stay whenever I come here with my family. My only suggestion would be to include a bathing suit wringer for easy drying since it takes a long time for swimsuits to dry in the room.
Good for a family or romantic getaway. Classic architecture.
The rooms are pretty grotty and run down for the price point and the use of the word "resort" ...the areas surrounding the hot pools are filled with garbage and the walls are dirty which led me to question the sanitation of the hot pools themselves. The front desk staff aren't trained and don't know the answers to basic questions. Would not recommend.
Stayed in the old main hotel. Beautiful and full of history. Waters are amazing and relaxing.
I could not understand what's all the fuss is about
yes book the trip do it and don't hesitate also check out the black Forrest restaurant
Yum
Rainy and windy day
Arrived to cheak in at 2:30.
No news even after waiting 3 hours.
People complained, but only answered that they should wait ...
The weather was so cold that I couldn't help but use the outdoor pool.
It was a phosphoric acid like Dongdaemun market.
The room didn't clean.
It's already dark outside
We may come back when we canceled because we might enter.
Worst day ever.
The pools are of course the star of the resort. We had a cottage which was nice but bathroom was too small. The breakfast buffet is too expensive for lukewarm to cold food. Was here 6 years ago and they had an amazing omelette station.
Stayed in West Tower with Garden View (did not pick pool view hoping to avoid the noises) but adult pool was partially visible to our window, making it quite noisy before 11. Bed was fine, I'm usually a picky sleeper and the bed we had weren't causing any issues. Hotel staff that we encountered were mostly excellent. Charlotte, who was our server both at Ialands Bar and the Lakeside breakfast buffet, really made our dining experience more enjoyable with the big smile and attentive service. Overall it was still a good stay and we will return.
I love Harrison Hot Springs, I will visit here for the rest of the my life. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars (which could change one day) is that most of the hotel needs a renovation. It WAS once an incredibly high class resort. In 2020 it s absolutely perfect for a delightful thermal cleanse (the rooms, hallways and lobby) just feels a little worn. There are tiers of rooms too which you need to be aware of. Lake view tower rooms and pool view are newly renovated and more of higher class room. Then there is the cabins, on the property but a 2 min walk outdoor from the pools and main hotel which in the winter could be really cold. But in the summer it was fantastic, you re own private one bedroom cabin with fireplace. Plus your own private outdoor seating area. The tv in the cabin is not in the bedroom, so if you like falling asleep to tv, you won t like this. The heritage side of the building is the oldest and the most inexpensive. If you don t care about frills and are just there for the pools, it s a standard room, quite worn out and old, but does the trick. (No balcony) Then there is our favourite of all, the poolside walk out rooms. They are ground floor and open up directly to the main pools. It s so efficient. No need to walk around the hotel going back to your room, going thru hallways and up elevators, it s too easy. Rooms are a little worn, but not as worn as the heritage rooms. You really can t beat the poolside room. Plus they have adjoining doors on the ground floor for multiple families. The resort has one main large adult only pool, a large children s area, two swimming pools and an indoor HOT tub and steam rooms. There s a gym, spa and a pier for water activities. We love Harrison because we can get here from Vancouver on city transit, takes a bit but it s worth it for cost efficiency. (Saves the $20 parking pass)
Harrison is so beautiful! Unfortunately most of the restaurants were closed. We were there in January.
Loved the hot springs. Had a lovely view in the west tower of the pool. Bed a little too firm and blankets so thin and hospital like. Very hospitable staff. Some decor a little outdated- but served the relaxing purpose I was there.
World class resort....excellent food and amenities!
Harrison Hot Springs is great place. I had a lot of fun visiting and I plan on coming again next year!
We love coming here for a quick getaway. The Copper Room is excellent. The pools are great. A great place for couples and families. I would stay clear of the poolside rooms on a busy night, it can be hard to sleep if you don't stay up as late as the pools are open.
Welcome back to the 80 s!
Surrounded by beautiful mountains and the lake right in front of the hotel are still not enough to make up for the hotel that last received any sort of renovation several decades ago.
Unnecessary expensive for what they offer.
Great if you like hot springs, we did a boat tour and it was worth coming out from Vancouver to do it.
Go to dinner at the restaurant of this hotel. It's great. You go back in time and your heart thanks you ...
Good place to relax. Package deals are the way to go. A bit pricey but good for special occasions.
Terribly looked after hotel. Definitely not a resort! Room view was beautiful but everything else was awful. We checked in & left immediately. The staff (who was extremely friendly) wasn't surprised at all that we were leaving & said they've been asking management to upgrade for years. Room were dirty & worn. Fridge was broken, clock didn't work, carpet was stained, walls were marked up. Very neglected hotel. Too bad as the hot springs & Spa were lovely. Extremely overpriced for the quality. We ended up moving to the Harrison Beach Hotel just down the street which was clean, modern & even had fireplaces in the rooms for a MUCH better price.
Rooms are very comfortable pools are amazing and food is great! Breakfast was delicious and great service!
Our visit has been great and all the hotel staff was wonderful and helpful
Beautiful resort at the end of the promenade in Harrison. Fantastic views and very quiet. I highly recommend a room with a lake view. Incredibly peaceful at dusk and dawn. I personally did not try the hot springs themselves, but other guests raved about it.
Not good so far...room check in 30min late..l don't see enough staff been how it's busy ....stay tuned
We have been here many times and it's always a 5 star experience. They have free tea everyday at 4 o clock with delicious baked goods as well. There are also many relaxing pools to spend your day at (4 outside 2 inside) so it's never too crowded. The rooms are very nice though in the summer time the main hotel rooms can get hot as the air conditioning isn't that strong and you have to rely on the coolness of the window at night. The breakfast is absolutely amazing and has a great selection to choose from including made to order omlets. The service staff are very friendly and always around to answer any questions. Will come back again soon!
The Pros: Absolutely beautiful scenery, really lovely and well maintained hot springs pools, good brunch, cozy common areas and mostly excellent customer service.
The Cons: For the price, the rooms aren't that nice. Small, cramped and seriously outdated. No air conditioning. Not fully wheelchair accessible. Discolored, grotty wallpaper. Also bizarre policies about only being allowed to use a debit card with your exact name on it (not credit, a bank card) and being charged a $200 deposit on your credit card plus the cost of the room up front.
This trip only, an additional annoyance was that the credit machines were down for 24 hrs which meant they had to actually charge me the deposit (not pre auth) plus the room price on my MasterCard, but then had to refund me in cash. Now I have to take the cash to the bank, deposit it and use it to pay back my credit card.
This resort does some things very well but the dull rooms and card policies deter me from rushing back.
Everything about it was nice, peaceful, and relaxing. I would definitely go again.
Slightly overpriced for the weekend. You can fly to Hawaii for the same Price
The copper room was beautiful for mother's day! The food was delicious and the servers were great.
We stayed in the main hotel which is not updated. But it was quaint. Cute. Comfy. A place to lay your head and enjoy the hot springs. Couldn't really ask for much else. We also had the breakfast package and the buffet was quite lovely. Staff are friendly. It's a nice place to stay in Harrison hot springs.
Great family getaway. Nice resort close to the water
Beautiful location, freindly service, clean and easy going. Polite, helpful staff.
room was very outdated but the hotel was just beside the lake with a very beautiful outdoor pool
Quaint, old place, with smiling, happy, friendly staff. Loved the hot tubs
I wan to give this place a bad review. So no one else comes here. And I have it all to myself. But I cant. Its so beautiful here. Love every minute
Gorgeous! Great for a group and great for couples. Prices vary.
This is my 3rd visit. The reason for this visit was to celebrate my birthday. I love the spa and pools are a favorite. The Lakeside cafe for breakfast is always excellent. The Island bar serves a wonderful assortment of martinis both my wife and I had excellent service. My only complaint is the noise levels from above and below from other guests was distracting and children running up and down the the halls. Rooms could use more sound proofing.
Excellent ..... great staff... getting a little dated on older side... but great overall
If you are going to come to this resort ... DO NOT stay in the main building. No AC in rooms, they only provide you with a fan. Additionally, room definitely used to be a smoking room and they need to completely gut and remodel everything (hotel sleeping floors and rooms especially)!!! Save your money and go else - incredibly disappointed... should have gone to whistler for the same price.
Everything is great, however service is a little slow.....
Older hotel but beautiful! The hotspring pools alone make it relaxing and worth the visit!
Nice but could be cleaner. Staff needs improvement.
Pretty expensive, especially when most the amenities are closed for the covid. Be nice if they could price adjust.
Pools are awsome and the staff are friendly.
Lots of history in this old building.
I will definitely return.
Great place to relax and enjoy the hot pools. My husband has been coming here for 70 years.
Hotel seemed nice but we didn't stay there. We did however sign up for a group kayaking tour through BC Sportfishing Group located in the lobby. It was a great experience. We went up the Harrison river a bit, the water was just spectacular. The guides were awesome and provided lots of info on the area. Would definitely sign up to do it again.
Generally pretty good. Good massages. Room was nice but only had a view of a wall.
Very old. Wifi is too slow. Spa is so small. But service is good and kind.
Expensive?
Old part is not great for sounds, need better sound proofing
Would visit again.
Price is steep, even off season, but the breakfast buffet is good quality food.
Hot spring pools are nice too, although outdoor one could have been kept a little cleaner.
Men s changeroom smelled foul.
Mattress too soft.
Kids loved the double room, and the breakfast. (My daughter overate.)
Nice location with beach and cove, easily reached from Vancouver.
This is a good place if you are looking for a mini getaway the food they serve here is great and the staff is great how ever i can't give this resort a five out of five due to the fact that there was one time I had bad service at the mothers day brunch. I would recommend coming here if you have never been. Harrison is a great place to venture of and check out the strip. Don't forget to rent a seadoo across the way and check the lake out it is breath taking.
Water has been a little cooler and dirtier since the new ownership
It is a historic hotel, it represents a lot for the city, however, it must improve the internal infrastructure, the interior is heard by my neighbors in the room, and it smells a bit old, although it is clean. I hope they improve it because the thermal pools are very nice and the common spaces are very good to share.
to be honest i prefer a higher water temperature...but no complaint though, outside temp. is 6c, so its super comfortable to bath in the hot spring. Lots of kids here enjoying themselves, not exactly a romantic setting to some people. Its a Thursday night, but the wonderful atmosphere makes it more like a weekend evening.
Great service. Pools and springs area was very relaxing and clean.
I had a room in west side, and it was very good with 2 queen size beds.
We stayed at the West Tower Executive Suit and it was great. The view from the room was nice and the room was clean and updated with tiled shower and granite counter tops in the bathroom. The diner at the Copper Room was delicious with live music and dancing. Will definitely visit again in the future.
Love spending time here. Very expendive considering they havent updated anything in over a decade or more it seems. Towels need to be easier to come by. And stingy with the Coffee pods. For $350 a night surely more then 1coffee pod per person isnt too much to ask for!
Been there for a business meeting. Nice place to be.
Stayed one night, charged $10 for parking as well as room rate. No breakfast included in room rate and cheaper options nearby. WiFi in room was awful kept dropping out. Nice setting but have stayed in much better hotels.
Went to Copper Room...band was good as usual, food dissapointing with restaurant not busy...waiter tried but does not replace quality
Easy access from Seattle, good rates and friendly staff
