One of the kindest, honest, hardworking gentleman I have ever met and gives great deals on everything he sells and if your looking to get something for nothing this is not the place for you, as for the neg feed back I can only assume that these folks were tire kickers.

Grumpy old man is super rude and just seems like he hates his life let alone being bothered by customers. Rufuses to actually help anyone unless they are buying a boat. I live very close and travel 45 min to another place to even buy something as simple as a screw now. I refuse to be treated like you are here.

A one star is too "good" for this horrific establishment! Deplorable staff in which they rate on the "negative" end of the scale in their level of professionalism! I especially enjoy reading through "their" responses to the negative review/reviews on their Facebook page! Definitely worth taking a look at, if you want to see the true way they "treat" and "react" to a potential buyer!

1 star is a gift!! It should be -1. last Thursday I took my Minn Kota trolling motor in for repair and was treated very rudely by a person on the floor (who may be the owner.) As I entered the store and headed to service counter He yelled across the room, "Hey where are going with that motor" After explaining that I needed service due to a problem, I was emphatically told no, not until January because of all the boats he had to winterize. I can take being told that service can't be provided until January, but the tone and attitude really shocked me. Then he asked where I bought the motor and told me to take it back there. Minn Kota advertises that their service centers will provide service no matter where the product was purchased. I wouldn't recommend this outfit for anything due to their total unprofessional manner and their attitude.

That is a good one. You did not know if I had purchased it from you nor if it was gift from there you never gave me the chance to tell you. You started in with a very rude and accusitory attitude. Minn Kota advertises, and I confirmed with their service dept. , that all comers are to be serviced. As I said, I can take that service can't be provided due to a back log of work. It is your general attitude that I was greeted with that i can not deal with. Not much for a service provider or sales in any business.

My family has done business with Northeast Marine over the years and seemed to build a decent relationship with the owners. Fishing stories swapped, some tips for catching fish, and even some help when things didn't run right.
Recently my wife purchased a very high end Fishfinder for me as a gift for our wedding. As excited as I was, I was a little nervous about the install and asked for a tip/help with putting the unit in my boat. I was not expecting anything free and was willing to pay to have a "so called professional" do the installation for me.
The response I got completely floored me. I was asked where she purchased the unit and was told to have them install it.
I was not expecting anything free, I work for my money just like the rest of the world.
He completely insulted my wife. She didn't know they were a humminbird dealer, and was doing something to surprise me.
Apparently he was upset that it wasn't purchased from them....

Well first of all they claim to be a humminbird dealer and they claim to service what they sell. When you go on humminbirds website they arent even listed as a dealer.

Aparently if you buy a piece of equipment like a boat, motor, or any type of electronic elsewhere they can't help you because they only service what they actually sell. If you aren't a customer at the time you can't get service. If you bought a Tracker boat in Texas and moved to Pennsylvania you are screwed. He said how do you think I've been in business for 25 years? I'm still trying to figure it out. If you treat people like that why on earth would they come back or send someone else to do business?
It's sad actually, since the service manager does know his stuff but really doesn't possess any type of people skills.

I've been in the shop and on the phone multiple times, after hearing several phone arguments with other customers, loosing my order, and getting yelled at on the phone, I cancelled a $4,500 motor installation and went elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.

I agree with the last post. Giving 1 star is definitely a gift. After purchasing a Minn Kota trolling motor from these guys last summer, I assumed they would service the product after the sale. I was wrong. I've tried at least 6 times within 3 months to take the trolling motor in for repairs. Each attempt has resulted in a grumpy old man, rudley informing how busy they are and to check back later. Absolutely no decent customer service to be found here. Minn Kota needs to pull this outfit as a dealer. Go somewhere else!! Its worth the drive.

Very knowledgeable great products good prices and they matched a competitor's price on the spot very few places get a 5-star rating from me and as a new boater they took the time to teach me everything I needed to know about my new motor to ensure I take care of it and it lasts a long time

Go elsewhere, you'll be very glad you did in the long run.

Update: also recently found out Northeast marine knowingly stole $300 from me for sales tax I paid him for a trailer, never got titled or registered. I had to pay sales tax a 2nd time on the trailer to get it titled and registered.

I drive past this business on almost a daily bases and decided to stop today for no other reason than to do a review. I made up the excuse that i needed a trailer tire and mentioned a boat I own. Let me tell you this place is deceptive from the outside. Inside is very large and packed full of just about anything a boater could need. The older gentlemen behind the counter is a straight to the point old school business man. I can see how his demeanor could be misinterpreted. He was quick to grab what i needed, charged a fair price and exchanged a joke or 2. "Attitude begets attitude" in many businesses.

I drove 45 minutes to Northeast marine based on their website hoping for some help with a boat issue.
When I arrived there was no one in the place, except for the grumpy old man who asked "help you".
I told him what I was interested in and he abruptly pointed to the wall, then returned to the counter to read a magazine. With the exception of me asking him questions, he was completely disinterested in helping me, although I was the only one in the place! I guess because I wasn't buying a 30,000 dollar boat I was not worth helping. Maybe the service is different during the week, but that doesn't matter to me now, I will not be wasting my time again.

Beware. don t waste your time!!!!!!! Ignorant, rude, every single time I go in there it s like walking on egg shells waiting to get yelled at or mistreated. Now, as a local to northeast marine, I give them all my business. Since I bought my boat last year in August all besides 2 items came from this place. The items purchased were boat battery s, 2 of them deep cycle interstate, 3 life vest, fire extinguisher, whistle, 2 front lights ( the red/green),one hardwired one flashlight style, a 25 floating rope, a throwable, odds and ends for my trailer, bouies (2 of them), and fish finder bracket. The items not purchased were a 49 cent spring from minn kotta ( I didn t want to waste their time so I went direct over such a small item.) and my lowerance elite 9 ti fish finder. After numerous trips there every time the old man was mean and rude. During one experience he even said that the customer in front of me was spending a lot of money so I had to wait. That was never an issue as I stood very patiently. The son was always fine to deal with.

Today I was never in my life spoken to with the disrespect and arrogance from anyone never mind both the father and son. I went in to either have them do it ......... which they always give you a crazy time line. Or just tell me which wires are which. I was willing to pay for an hour shop time for his 5 minutes. He couldn t do that. They told me what they were working on is someone who spent 25,000 with them they don t have time. They went on to tell me I m so stupid I should get off the water and buy a golf cart because I was not sure exactly which wire was my trolling motor wire. I was not out of line asking for sacred information . I was asking for my knowledge of the boat so if I m stuck on the water I can know what s going on back there and so I didn t have to wait a month to install a used minn kotta fort Rex I bought. I really hope they learn to treat people with more respect and care. You lost a loyal customer from this over you not listening to the customer, let them finish their statement before you shoot off on them. If I can give my whole experience dealing with northeast marine it would be zero stars.
