Distinguished hotel due to location, architecture, and service.

The views are so boss! Easy to relax and decompress.

Sports complex was huge with plenty of equipment.

A rich history that is told through the hotel.

Fun place to visit.

Great food. Cute shops. Desserts were not as impressive.

We went there for our anniversary as someone gave us a gift card. Food was amazing. The peach pie seemed like canned peaches (it was peach season as well) were used and had mold on the crust which they tried to tell me was the pan over heating. I bake a lot myself and I have never seen pan being heated to the point that I saw 5 distinct green small round spots on side of my crust. We did not want to make a big deal as we really did enjoy the food, and the cinnamon ice cream that came with the pie was delicious. However, it seemed like the waitress and chef came out to make a big deal and very loudly tell us it wasn't mold. They then double charged us for the meal and it took them over 2 weeks to refund that difference. Never going back again despite how great the dinner itself was.

A beautiful hotel rich in history. It's huge and you may get lost, but exploring it is worth while. Oddly enough its hard to get info from front desk, who always seemed busy. They definitely need either more help or more training or both. We went to Elaine's an onsite bar with dueling pianos. The pianos were fun, but it's all about who can pay them the most money. Also the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable and way way to low. We had to change seats 3 times. It's was quite dirty as well which was surprising in such a costly hotel and bar. My chocolate martini was $15. My suggestion is they get housekeeping to vacuum it daily as the dust and hair balls on the carpet were gross.

Tip: if you are not staying on property parking in the garages is free for the first 3 hours.

Get ready to have one of the most memorable times ever. The spa is magnificent. It is hard to believe that the main structure is over 100 years old with a fascinating history that is sure to impress guests. There is charm and atmosphere everywhere you go, whether sitting in front of one of the many fireplaces or relaxing on one of the multi-level stone terraces overlooking the golf course. We couldn't have been more pleased with the spa treatments and the stone walls and pillars that surround the indoor pools and outdoor spa pool are all 5 star. The therapeutic pool with waterfall is a must although it's hard to say which pool was our favorite!

This is an absolutely amazing resort! All staff members were amazing.
Our room had a view of the 18th hole on the golf course. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the Sunset Terrace and watching the sunset all three nights.

Hands down the best Spa we have ever been to. I highly recommend making reservations for the spa months in advance!! Try to get the 11:00 slot. Enjoy the pools before, have a massage, grab lunch in the cafe and back to the pools. Bring books and magazines!! Unplug and unwind all day!!

What a beautiful hotel, stay in the historic section for a real feel of time it. If you are lucky and get the elevator operator with the top hat, he might tell you the real story of the pink lady.
The view is gorgeous, staff is responsive ( I swear they ordered the snow just for us) and valets keep it running smoothly.

Omni Grove Park Inn is one of our favorite places. The hotel is as beautiful as it's natural surroundings and has wonderful amenities. The staff was beyond helpful from the moment we called to book the hotel, schedule excursions or ask about other things to do, to the time we checked out.

One of the best hotels. We stayed next door to the haunted room in the old part. Breakfast was amazing at the blue ridge restaurant. The spa was world class. I recommend the facial treatment and also recommend taking advantage of the full access to all the mineral pools and saunas

The facility was nice but you can hear everything in the hallway so it s not the most relaxing place. The pool is very far away and you have to take a shuttle. Restaurants were nice. It s better for a visit than a stay.

One of the most historically significant landmarks...

One of the most historically significant landmarks in Asheville (Biltmore Estate being the most impressive), this landmark is a great retreat for golf and/or business, a couples weekend or a really nice place to stay with the family to explore Asheville. Several unique dining options add to it's top qualities. We dined there for my 60th a couple weeks ago with family and enjoyed the bar area with music while waiting for a table. Also was there for exec meetings a few years ago. Awesome place.

We wanted to stay and play golf, but the golf package for one night was over $700 for my wife and myself, so we decided to play golf at 1pm for $100 each and we stayed at a local hotel for $105 for the night.
We were very disappointed with the golf course, the pro shop and men's locker room need a complete remodeling. The practice putting green was in very poor condition and the golf course itself leaves a lot be desired.
We had a wonderful lunch on the open air veranda of the main hotel, and really enjoyed that.
In the evening we had drinks in the main hall with good service. We wanted reservations for the Vue 1913 for 630 but were told we could not sit until 730. We accepted and when we arrived at 715 there were over a dozen empty tables, guess they were short of staff. My wife had a $50 pork chop and I had a $35 lamb loin, that consisted of six pieces of lamb smaller than a teaspoon---very disappointing. A glass of Kendal Jackson Chardonnay was $24. We will never visit this restaurant again.

Hard to know how to rate....I didn t stay there....I walked around the grounds in the Rain & it was very very impressive. We walked into the spa and from the exterior it was very impressive.
So, pret tell, where did they loose their stars.....
After graduation from UNCA, we brought the whole family to eat.....my niece is a chef and she has been going thru chemo....she specifically booked the meal @2:30pm to get her favorite dish, some sort of steak dish. They refused to serve it because it wasn t dinner.
We had a very large crowd ~15, but the table couldn t accommodate us? So we all had to start moving tables and my niece had a bad shoulder and she asked for some help and she was also upset about her steak and going thru chemo this past year and losing her father....the Mgr said I heard the way you spoke to my employees and that s not acceptable, so we will get you in and out as quickly as possibility .
My niece was so horrified she asked for her food to go. I went over and explained the whole story to the Mgr and she was so rude to me too . I asked her if she could apologize to my niece so we all could enjoy our family together...
It, she was a very proud woman and she stood her ground and said she did nothing wrong and she refused to apologize just to make a client happy and a table,of 15 that spent over $500
She was too proud....
You can only imagine how that left a bitter taste in everyone s mouth.....everyone had been coming here for over 20 years eating and staying her on many occasions.....
It was a very sad experience to see a Mgr not willing to put aside her feelings for the sake of the clients....how much does an apology cost these days

One of Americas classic resort hotels. Rhe service is impeccable, though this is a place where the well healed have long eanted to retreat. The history of the place is amazing. Walk around and take the tour.

It's also worth having cocktails at sunset.

Lastly, it's a lovely special events space.

I gave 3 stars bc you pay a lot of money but the rooms from inside are old and the furniture is just average. I know you pay for the location and the view but we had also the worst view you can imagine. Luckily it was not busy time for them and we asked to change so they graciously accomdated us and were very nice about it but otherwise I would have paid a lot of money for a bad view and average room

Me and my wide visited for breakfast. The buffet was amazing! The view was breathtaking and the food was delicious. It's the first time we visited the establishment and I'm sure we will be back.

The resort states childcare is available but doesn't specify its limitations which is only on Saturday for ages 5 to 12 and only very specific times. So basically, it's an afterthought at best. So parents with children aren't included.

Lovely ride to the mountains. View is breath taking from the Omni. So much to see. We saw the National Gingerbread Displays for 2018, then had a wonder ft ul dinner in The Blue Rdige Room.

My mother and I drove to the spa on July 9th for a spa day. In the past we have been able to have a treatment done in the morning and sit outside for a couple hours to have lunch and relax prior to heading home. This time, we had our facials mid morning (which were good, hence the two stars), but when we went to find a place to sit, the spa was packed. There were no seats in chairs or tables by the outdoor pool and few available chairs inside by the pools. We were unable to have lunch at the spa restaurant, as there ware no seats (even inside), so we ended up leaving shortly after our facials. Part of the frustration was that two of the groups at the pool, had purchased "spa passes," but were not having treatments done at all. It seems like if the spa is that busy, spa passes shouldn't be sold. We paid over $500 for two facials, and weren't even able to make a full morning of it. Very disappointing.

Grove park inn is something to see period. A beautiful main hotel built 70 years ago is amazing. On the slope of the many hills in Buncombe county built with all rock . The spa tunnel is cool and the water fall outside the spa entrance is beautiful. Sitting along the restaurant railing that is open to the outside (roof & heaters) keep you dry and warm during winter or rain. Beautiful Vista view of downtown Asheville from the restaurant .

The spa was amazing.. However, that is about all that I would consider "amazing" about our stay. I told a few people while booking our stay that we were checking in the day after our wedding as this was to be a "mini honeymoon" and the only thing that was done differently was a congratulations upon check in. I wouldn't expect anything more from a Holiday Inn or similar, but I have heard so many great things about The Grove Park Inn and I guess I anticipated more. There was nothing special about the room and even had a feeling that it was outdated. I also had to call multiple times to speak to someone about holding on to our wedding cake for a few nights as it did not fit in our room refrigerator. I was told I would get a call back but never did. Later that evening, I just brought it to the front desk and they were able to assist. The showers were also warm, even on the highest heat. We had 2 dinners at the hotel. One at The Edison and another at The Sunset Terrace. I did not expect much from The Edison and the food was OK. However, I did have high expectations for The Sunset Terrace and was greatly disappointed. Again, when making the reservation, I mentioned that this was our honeymoon and that I would like to request a seat at or near the edge to enjoy a nice view with our dinner. When we got there, we were brought to a high top at the very back of the restaurant, furthest away from the best view. I asked to sit in one of the couple open tables near the edge and our request was granted. It seems as if there were no notes left on our reservation, but then the waiter greeted us with another congratulations and that was it. Next, the steak that I ordered medium rare came out with a hot, barley pink center. I am not usually one to send food back but with an overcooked, $50 steak, I had no choice but to request another steak that was cooked how I ordered it. Shortly after sending my steak back, I overheard the man sitting directly behind me send his back as well for the same reason. His was sent back and a new steak brought back to him roughly 10 minutes before my new steak returned. This time cooked the way I asked. The side of mashed potatoes was dry and flavorless but I ate them all because I had nothing else. Last, we ordered the cheesecake and after our first bite, extremely disappointed by the freezer burn taste and did not touch it again. When the waiter came back to check on our desert, we were fed up and said it was OK and asked for the check. Maybe we are spoiled with great restaurants being from Charleston, SC, but leaving The Sunset Terrace made us feel like we just left an overpriced Texas Roadhouse and went back to our room to enjoy some locally bought beers. The hotel is beautiful, but definitely not worth the money that was spent and overall very dissatisfied with our experience.

Let me start off by saying I am a HUGE Hilton fan/member! I have always said that NO hotel is worth paying more than $200 a night.... BUT this hotel has my 5 stars all the way and I haven't even stayed the night here. I only stopped at this hotel to look at the beautiful views!
Of course I had to stop by the front desk to ask a BUNCH of questions and hearing on how they treat their guest, is so beyond amazing!! Omni hotels will definitely be on my bucket list!!

Gone is the Old World elegance and 1st class presentation that was The Grove Park Inn. My friends and I made our annual trek to The Grove Park for Christmas lunch and shopping. We will not be going again. The food at the Edison was poorly prepared, presented and greasy. The price points were unreasonable for what was presented to our table. A glass of wine was $25 dollars and not even chilled properly! Really. We could have had a better meal at The Waffle House. This would have never been the case before Omni Resorts bought this old gem. As my party and I were leaving I paid $15 for the valet to bring the car around.( that's fine) however they obviously charge a dollar a minute because it took 15 minutes before my car was retrieved. Sadly, we won't be going back to The Grove Park Inn and I certainly will not recommend it when someone asks "What is there to do in Asheville". I will give them plenty of other choices.

Parking was horrible, staff didn't know what garages were open and closed. Once I found a parking, staff didn't know where our event was in the building, they sent me from one end of the hotel to the other, then 3 different employees referred me to others, until I finally found out where the food show, was being held, where I hit entered was where I should have been. This never used to happen when it was privately owned the Grove Park Inn has gone downhill since Omni bought it.

We have stayed at Grove Park several times in the past for a respite from the pace in Charlotte. We were absolutely amazed at the live music entertainment that was there on Sunday afternoon. The Coconut Groove Band was FANTASTIC. We would come to the Inn every time they played but I understand they have only been invited to play there twice. Management needs to make them regulars. Everyone that we spoke with loved the Band. Loved it. We ll bring our friends on a date when they play again and stay for some golf after.
Have to mention Tim our waiter. Wonderful person. Recommend requesting him.

The Grove park inn is a must see historic hotel. If you are not staying here and you are in Ashville, go see the lobby if nothing else. We stayed at the Grove park for 5 days so I think I can give a honest and accurate evaluation. The parking is either self park or valet. Do yourself a favor and use the valet. It cost a little extra but it is worth it. ( $17 a day for self park and $22 for valet). This is a luxury hotel so keep in mind you have to pay extra for everything. Our overall stay was fine. The staff is mostly locals that have the knowledge of the inn and the area. The rooms in the wings have been remodeled and were very good except we had a second floor room with no view at all. I mean no view. The hotel has a very confusing layout so ask for help. get a room if possible in the old part or on the upper floors of the wings.
