The Grove park inn is a must see historic hotel. If you are not staying here and you are in Ashville, go see the lobby if nothing else. We stayed at the Grove park for 5 days so I think I can give a honest and accurate evaluation. The parking is either self park or valet. Do yourself a favor and use the valet. It cost a little extra but it is worth it. ( $17 a day for self park and $22 for valet). This is a luxury hotel so keep in mind you have to pay extra for everything. Our overall stay was fine. The staff is mostly locals that have the knowledge of the inn and the area. The rooms in the wings have been remodeled and were very good except we had a second floor room with no view at all. I mean no view. The hotel has a very confusing layout so ask for help. get a room if possible in the old part or on the upper floors of the wings.
