The Grove Park Inn is in a beautiful setting in the North Carolina mountains and a grand facility. Unfortunately, the extra charges for parking (self) and for other services not used (spa) was not mentioned in the online rate. The food was very good.

This resort is all about the Spa. The treatments and the experience there are top notch. The staff could not be more accommodating either; also top notch. The resort rooms however, are bland and not as nice as my own home. I fully appreciate the historic section of the Inn, but it makes me depressed to be in those rooms. You will want to escape your room and stay in the absolutely lovely lobby. The modern resort rooms are typical Omni and not deserving of the rate you pay. We always recommend The Grove Park Inn to friends and family and have been embarrassed that the last 3 groups who have stayed there on our recommendations were disappointed and have decided to stay at the Biltmore or at smaller Inns for a more lush visit. I will continue to visit the Grove Park Inn because my day at the Spa there is something I miss all year.

The hotel is beautiful. The sunset views on the terrace with the enormous fireplaces and comfy furniture are a must. We enjoyed the Gingerbread exhibit and all the Christmas decorations as well.

The hotel is very beautiful and has a lot to offer but I received terrible service. They did not make up the room even though I called when it wasn't done around 1pm. Then they took forever to bring fresh towels. Overall I was not impressed

Omni has utterly ruined this once majestic property. From the moment I arrived, issues began to compound. The valet staff was gone, which seemed odd at 8:30pm on a Tuesday evening. No carts were available for luggage, nor any bell staff to assist. The front desk staff were exceedingly rude. No help was ever offered for luggage, even after asking for it. Other than a map of where to park on the property, no help was provided at all. There were issues with the reservation, follow up to correct these never happened. Not even the follow up call that was expected from not one staff member but a second whom was the manager. With the exception of Kevin at the lobby bar, the rest of the staff I encountered were rude and certainly inhospitable. My room had the distinct smell of sewage emanating from the bathroom. Even being in the newer wing, the rooms are starting to show their age. This has always been such a beautiful and dignified property. I'm afraid it is that no longer. Omni has failed to deliver on their brand promise and has not done the Grove Park justice. So sorry myself or my family will not be returning until ownership changes again. It will be missed.

Such a beautiful hotel. I would not stay in the original old beautiful hotel as the rooms are refinished but kept in the old feeling..slanted ceilings, big old tubs with a shower installed above. We loved our room on the new building.. forget the wing name. Love the look of the hotel, big stones, fireplaces that you can walk in!

The setting is gorgeous and the spa is wonderful. It is worth a visit as long as you don't worry about cost too much as this is not a budget hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at the Grove Park many times, and keep coming back. Our favorite hotel in North Carolina. Wonderful views, nice staff, clean cozy rooms, an impressive lobby, a relaxing spa, amazing restaurants, and the terrace is incredible at sunset. Love everything about it. Tip: I prefer to stay in the old part of the hotel, for it's incredible character and charm.

Ist time at the Omni grove park Inn. It was a great surprise, better than expected. The Gingerbread contest showed amazing talent. We ate at the Edison restaurant, very kid friendly and great food. Looking forward to returning

Came here for a company Christmas dinner at the Blue Ridge buffet they have here. This is an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful place and it just goes on for days. The food was fantastic, the staff was polite. My only critique is that with how fantastic everything else was, the desserts at the buffet were a big let down. Tasteless and/or generic run of the mill, "I could have got better at the grocery store" desserts. That being said, again, everything else was amazing and I am in awe of the place.

Lovely experience. My wife and I had a couple's massage which includes all day access to the spa. Great staff and beautiful spaces and views all over the grounds. It was well worth the expense and I highly recommend a day at the Grove Park Inn as a priority if you have the opportunity to spend a few days in Asheville.

Fireplace is the best feature. Can't be beat.

Buffet breakfast amazing.
Spa books weeks in advance and hot tub and amazing pools not available without a spa service, so be aware.

The location is quaint and the hotel has just about everything you need to escape for a few days. The Spa is very relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable as well. We'll definitely be coming back.

Historic and pretentious. Over priced so wait for the occasional $99/night deals. Be prepared to tip for everything. They have too many employees. They should send some to the Renaissance, haha.

We went to the Grove Park inn for dinner this year, it s apart of our holiday tradition. The past two years we went for breakfast and were able to get parking with the reservation, this year they are only allowing dinner reservations to have parking included. So we went, but the food was extremely cold and for the 40$ price for the buffet per person not worth it at all. I was expecting something nice like lobster or steak and we got chicken and pork. Would not recommend the blue ridge dining hall at dinner and we won t be returning to eat.

We found the hotel to be charming and a very nice place to stay. All I can say is check out those views absolutely wow.

Enjoyed dinner in the Edison eatery with friends. A very thoughtful, up-to-date menu pairs well with beer. The meal included a sunset break on a spacious covered deck to enjoy with many peace and quiet enthusiasts. No dress code, but you will want to look your best just to keep up with the historic surroundings.

This was our first time visiting and we weren't disappointed.
ROOMS: We chose one of the older rooms and it was definitely art deco. If you're not into that then I suggest asking for one of the newer rooms. It was very clean and I'm OCD so believe me - I would let the world know if it wasn't.
FOOD: GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS AVAILABLE! They brought out delicious GF rolls with honey and butter. I'm intolerant not celiac and I had no reaction. The food is delicious and the steaks are HUGE. We ordered the New York strip and you could cut it with a butter knife. Also, I think it's helpful to note that the sides are big enough to share - they suggest that usually. Btw, gorgeous view from the terrace at sunset but book in advance as they full up fast!! I suggest grabbing a coffee at the coffee shop before leaving. They serve Peets coffee and they do a wonderful job at making sure you TASTE the coffee not the syrup. Great customer service, too.
STAFF: Excellent customer service all the way around. From front desk to valet, they were on point. No complaints at all except one bartender looked annoyed when I asked if they carried a certain vodka but if that's the worst -I can handle it.
Overall, this was a peaceful place to relax. I highly suggest this to anyone wanting to escape "city life". We will definitely be back

Staff are genuinly helpful and friendly. The facilities are also well maintained and attractive. There's plenty to do, even on a rainy day, including activities, food, exhibits, etc. The view from the property is outstanding, and there's plenty to explore as well. Even the "haunted" section of the hotel seemed genuine by the staff.

Breathtaking views, the whole facility is so unique and grand. The spa deserves 5 starts just by itself, but book your services way in advance. We were upgraded to a top floor with a panoramic view of the golf course and mountains because we got there a little early, no extra charge which was a plus. It's a great place to sit out on the sunset terrace and have dinner and drinks and watch the sun set behind the blue ridge mountains. All the restaurants have great service and the sunset terrace has the best filet I've ever had. I actually brought my own bottle of wine when we stayed last and enjoyed the view. You don't have to have a room at the Grove Park to enjoy these amenities... You can visit and have a dinner or drinks out on the terrace any time and you can buy day passes to the spa or get all day access by just receiving one service. The Grove Park is always on my list of places to stop by or bring someone visiting to check out the million dollar view

Way too expensive for what you get. $20 just to park, $40 for a buffet that is nothing special, and at least $15-$17 for a mixed drink (side note: we went to Edison and just a forewarning- these were the worst mixed drinks my boyfriend and I have ever had haha). I wouldn't mind paying the hefty price tag if I felt like I was getting my money's worth, but unfortunately I didn't. Worth a visit to see the view or the gingerbread houses near the holidays, but otherwise just save your money. Sadly, pretty disappointing.

Great place for brunch! The views and the brunch is what makes this place. The inside decor is a bit outdated , but I think maybe that's the intention, to keep the "original antique" look. They hand you Mimosas as you are seated for brunch which is awesome. I've been twice. One for mother's day and once for my bf's bday. They both loved it!
