I have eaten at two other restaurants at Grove Park and loved. This was lacking in taste and took a long time arriving. Overpriced for quality and amount. Noticed nobody was really eating but my group and wonder if it's just a good place to drink. Pleasing inside but that's about all. Waitress also lacking in ability.

My wife and I are currently here for a one-night stay as our plans abruptly changed due to weather and we needed to arrive a day earlier than planned. The lobby is beautiful and the front desk staff and bell man were wonderful. However, when we tried to dine at the in-house restaurant (The Edison) we sat for over 20 minutes without any sort of acknowledgment as every other table was visited and served multiple times. We waited as long as we could before giving up and ordering in. Definitely soured our experience thus far.

Old work charm. Grove Park Inn is a unique resort. You can really feel all of the old world turn of the century charm here. Do not expect a modern version of a luxury resort, with all modern comforts and technologies. If you are looking for pure comfort and modern luxury, you may be dissapointed here. But the history cannot be matched! Really cool resort and the Great Hall fireplaces are amazing. Also, do yourself a favor and book a SPA treatment. The treatments are great, even if a bit pricey. Also, the price include ALL DAY access to the spa pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, fitness center, lounges, etc. My wife and I spent 8 hours there and loved it so much we went back two days later for the day.

Too expensive and inauthentic. We have been going there for decades and have become disenchanted with it's corporate feel. Gas fireplace NOT real wildfires in the great entry hall. Bartenders measuring wine pours to specific tolerances. GP is just another casualty to corporate greed and homogenization. Too bad.

The beautiful and historic Grove Park Inn retains all the charm and majesty that reflects and honors the Inn's glorious past while providing all the upgrades, and amenities that insure every guest has a comfortable relaxing stay. And the view of The Blue Ridge Mountains is breathtaking! We hope to return soon.

An extraordinarily beautiful and relaxing Inn.

An extraordinarily beautiful and relaxing Inn.

Tucked away in the hills and woods of Asheville; Grove Park Inn played host to one of the most memorable vacations my Wife and I have ever enjoyed.

Setting: GORGEOUS
Food: AMAZING

Worth checking out even if you don't stay there or eat there. Parking is free for the first three hours. The hotel is built on the side of a mountain and has awesome views. Just walking around the grounds is fun.

Nice atmosphere and relaxing. It's a big place and can be tricky to get around until you get to know your way around, but the customer service is very good and the restaurants are very good. Rooms are roomy with large bathrooms and are clean and comfortable. They have one of the top rated spas in the world, golf, and is a great place to relax and socialize with friends and family. There is a lot of history.

We stayed for 1 night (for the first time) at the Omni Grove Park Inn for a last minute anniversary getaway. Keeping COVID in mind and all the measures every hotel and restaurant take, I am thoroughly disappointed at the lack of cleanliness at this hotel. The room had blueberries under the bathroom sink, the toilet seat had dry pee on it (sorry for the TMI), the countertops in the bathroom and tv stand had sticky coffee stains on them. The King bed came with 2 pillows (4 is standard with any hotel room) and when these concerns were addressed the front desk staff didn't blink an eye. The robes they provided were stained as well.
We paid well over $400 for this stay and selected a premium king resort room. It was not worth the price. We were on a lower level and had no view.

Great for family or romantic venture. Parking fees are expensive and limited for close entry. Overall worth money spent for time there. Had a special event that day, Ginger Bread House competition which is an annual event. Fabulous decorations and helpful attendants. Big crowd.

The staff at the Grove Park was very nice and the view was gorgeous, but I would expect nicer rooms for $400 per night. The toilet paper was 1-ply. We only received one set of clean towels for 4 days. ZfThere were no drinking glasses in our room. Our shower was full of mold. There was no concierge and none of the employees could answer basic questions about normal visitor activities. All of the food was outrageously priced. A buffet breakfast for $80 for two adults and 2 children? Really?

Our room was like a servant room. Totally not deserve $400. The below is not subjective comments but FACTS.

>>>We stayed at the hotel from Dec 28-29.

>>>We paid almost $400 for Traditional Room with a queen bed.
The room was old and tiny. It can be used for hotel staffs or servants. If you claim this is a subjective view, at least there was a relatively big bag at window (I can show a picture).

>>>We were looking forward to enjoying spa, but when we arrived (4pm), it was all sold out except for 6:45pm for one person with $180 (30 mins).

>>>The rule is, you cannot make a reservation until you arrive at the hotel. Nothing we could have done.

>>>We asked the hotel whether one more person can just have an access to the hotel and they said it costs $242. At this point, we were completely lost figuring out why a person who do NOT get a massage has to pay more than a person who gets a massage. Of course we decided not to take this deal.

>>>This could be subjective, but a tall man at bell desk was very unfriendly and no respect to the guests. I will leave it to other reviewers.

If you believe that for leisure you have to spend thousands of money, it is fair. However you might want to consider the facts above to manage your expectations before making a reservation for this hotel.

The music was nice, but kinda off key. It was more busy than usual because of a party they were having but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The bartenders were every informative.

The Sunset Terrace is an amazing place to dine with wonderful views. The restaurant is inside The Grove Park Inn, a great hotel with a world class spa and other amenities like golf. A great place to getaway or go for a a simple but memorable dinner.

Besides being a bit confusing finding where I needed to go (it is a very big, beautiful place), the staff was extraordinarily helpful and accommodating, the food exceeded expectations, and the venue was more than perfect (and perfectly organized) for the professional event I was there for. 5 stars all around.

Gorgeous hotel, but some of the rooms feel dated and not in the good way. Used a conference room and all the furniture felt old. I understand the aesthetic they were going for, but it just fell out of place with the rest of the hotel.

We had dinner on the sunset terrace and loved every minute of it. The food was amazing, the view was great, and the staff was very accommodating. Definitely recommend for a special occasion.

A step back in time with all the modern amenities....

A step back in time with all the modern amenities. From arrival to check out the Grove Park Inn provides a uniquely enjoyable experience. Just driving through the neighborhood to reach the Inn is a treat.

Upon arrival you will be greeted by a well-organized and welcoming valet team. No waiting here, they have four lanes and a virtual army of valets. Valet parking is $22 per night, but you can also self-park for $15 per night. Of course there are plenty of bell hops who are ready to assist if needed or desired.

The registration desk is well-staffed, friendly, and efficient. You will be provided with a hotel map at check-in. Take it; it will come in handy.

Our room was in the Vanderbilt wing. Rooms are much larger than typical hotel rooms and ours had a spectacular view of the mountains. The bed and linens were extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet. Even though we were able to hear our neighbors as we entered or exited the room, we could not hear them when we were in the room.

Room amenities include a Keurig and refrigerator although that may be part of the $25 per night resort fee.

There is much to do at the Inn, however, since we attended a conference, our time to take advantage of the spa or other offerings was limited. We did have lunch (crabcake sandwiches) on the Sunset Terrace and it was delicious.

We did go to Elaine's Dueling Piano Bar one evening, but it was so loud we only stayed about half an hour and never returned during our stay. S.O. is a musician so we are accustomed to loud music, but these two guys had twice as many speakers as needed for a room that small. Their "phrase of the day" competition is fun, but the volume is unbearable. We observed an entire group of about twenty people half our age first move as far away from the speakers as possible and eventually migrate out of the piano area completely.

At the Grove Park Inn you get more than a room, you get an experience.

Amazing hotel in every aspect , of I can give it 10 stars just for the incredible view I would , every corner of this wonderful establishment is designed with such loving and caring touches . Perfect pace for romantic vacation with this one of a kind sunset view , it has so many different activities for the the whole families . The Grove Park was excellent as usual. We had drinks at the lobby bar and dinner at the Edison which made for wonderful evening. It was a bit pricy but that's to be expected but well worth it.

The historical part of the hotel is wonderful. But the greatest part of this visit was the amazing view from the restaurant! The food is very expensive but it was delicious and we were able to look out across the mountains as we ate.

Pay for parking after you pay triple for a room? This cruise ship needs a new captain. Nothing special here unless you are into a mega hotel/golf resort. The views just ok and you pay extra for that too. The food was good the service good, nice people, just not my kind of atmosphere, there is nothing special about you here unless you are dealing out a fair amount of Jacksons. Clearly Benjamins are preferred.

I had some glasses of wine on the terrace overlooking the golf course. The wine selection was excellent, service was prompt, and the view was breathtaking. Expect to pay $15-20 per glass of wine, but it's worth it for the view.

I've been going to the Grove Park's Gingerbread display for several years. The staff is friendly, the food & drinks are wonderful and the view can't be beat! My daughter and I had a Mother/Daughter spa weekend right after Thanksgiving ~ we stayed Friday and Saturday night and enjoyed the spa all day on Saturday. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and can't wait to do it again next year!

Grove Park Inn holds a special place in my heart because it s where my husband proposed 12 years ago. We always enjoy going back to this beautiful historic place. The service, amenities, and spa are top notch!

One of my favorite destinations. This is a place that you spend a long weekend without leaving the resort. There's hiking and golf right on the grounds. The restaurants are fantastic and the dueling piano lounge is a lot of fun! And you need to spend at least one entire day at the world class spa. Even my husband loves it! But make sure you book your spa treatment when you book your room, or you may not get a chance.
