Was with a gal who has visited here many times over the last 20+ years. She was disappointed with the holiday decorations saying it lacked the magical feel of Christmas from the past and had become Omnified. I felt the decor was reserved, sedate and uninspiring. Viewing the gingerbread contestant winners was the visual highlight of the evening.

This is my wife's favorite hotel. We are very seasoned international travelers. Something about Asheville in the spring is incredible in and of itself. Add one of the most spectacular views around with the perfect weather and top notch food and amenities and you literally cannot go wrong. I would classify this place and rustic regal and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Nice property but make sure you bring lots of cash. Meals are expensive, and the restaurant we ate in provided what amounts to bar food at 5 star restaurant prices. Too expensive for my taste

Nice lobby and restaurants,,,,hotel is overpriced for rooms that are outdated ,,,,doesn't even include spa facilities.

A really beautiful and historic old hotel in a wonderful location. The food and rooms however were subpar when compared with other omni properties. Given the age of the hotel and how grand the actually property is, the rooms themselves could be forgiven. The food however, was downright mediocre. This is surprising as Asheville has some excellent cuisine as does the omni brand in general.

The hotel is beautiful. Everyone working there loves their job. They excel at customer service and making the guests feel welcome and appreciated. The amenities are awesome! I left feeling refreshed and relaxed!

My dream wedding was booked for October 2020, we were very excited to have our wedding here. Obviously there is a global pandemic going on (causing many weddings to cancel), and we have no idea if we will be able to host our wedding on our date because of government ordinance restrictions on the number of people allowed inside at events. Currently the restrictions in North Carolina are to 10 people inside.... That would require me to cut the number of guests my over 90%, which I'm not willing to do.
Omni specifically stated that they were offering full refunds for cancellations due to the pandemic - which would be the right thing to do, as you can't expect people to keep waiting around until the last minute to see if a wedding will happen or not. We felt 90 days is acceptable to send in our cancellation, and begin notifying our guests and vendors.
In addition, many of my guests are not comfortable traveling to or attending a large gathering right now... and my fiance and I have family that are older and immunocompromised and gravely at risk with Covid19.
Upon requesting a cancellation yesterday (90 days out from our wedding), Omni said they would only refund me 50% of my deposit, that's it.... or I can use the money towards a wedding in 2021. Those are my options - I'm being penalized as a customer for a global pandemic... I either lose money or postpone until to next year. I don't want a wedding in 2021...I explained to them that we just learned that my mother's stage 4 cancer has progressed, and postponing a wedding to 2021 is a not feasible option either. We just want to cancel and elope with our family present. With zero compassion or consideration, they refuse to give the full refund.
How can a company have zero care in the world to do the right thing? It's incredibly disappointing to see that this is the way business is done.
I will never stay at Omni properties, and I do not recommend working with the Grove Park Inn.
They have no moral compass or ethical guidelines.

The Omni Grove Park Inn and Spa is 2nd to none! Do yourself a favor and get a room on the club floor. You won t regret it! Can t wait to get back there again. They truly set the bar.

Beautiful property that is well maintained and really takes you back in time. The lobby harkens back to a bustling time with guests visiting and lounging in front of the two larger than life fireplaces. We visited around Christmas and the hotel looks so festive. I enjoyed eating nibbles in the main lobby bar and looking out over the terrace.

I experienced some hiccups with my reservations but upon arrival, Hannah at the front desk and the hotel manager fixed everything and took excellent care of our family. Rooms were great, restaurants and the whole facility is amazing. They never fail to make a great impression. Thank you.

Great spot to watch the sun set or have a spa day. If you decide to eat, check out The Edison Room. Aaron, the manager, is knowledgeable and upbeat. Good craft beer selection, too.

I have stated here many times in the past and always enjoyed myself. However, during COVID much has changed and I would not recommend spending the money for half amenities. The spa is reduced capacity and full most days of our stay, they are not offering day passes and the therapeutic waterfall pools are closed. They are not offering room service. Some restaurants are not open and all are reduced capacity so reservations are difficult to obtain. No glassware provided in room including coffee mugs. But, the views are still amazing and cannot be paralleled.

Had a great meal at Edison's and enjoyed a walk through the Grove Park Inn looking at Gingerbread exhibits. After touring this magnificent Hotel / Resort, decided to book a stay here for my wife's birthday. It is certainly a grand hotel.

Loved all of the amenities. We were willing to pay a little extra knowing that if we never left, we could enjoy the resort. We did just that. We stayed in the original historic part of the inn. The bathroom could have used a little more attention on the cleaning aspect. However- being able to open the windows completely and let the mountain air in was a total plus. We enjoyed music in the lobby bar and sitting in front of the massive fireplaces.

Longer wait than stated. Took 45 mins-1hour for the food to arrive. Really good trout though (c'mon, trout takes like 10 mins tops, to cook). Views amazing. Pot pie crust not cooked through-manager Did remove it from our bill. So positive customer service.

The location and facilities are of course excellent! For me this is a true getaway for relaxation and fun. Grove Park Inn is such a wonderful facility with a beautiful vista. Asheville, North Carolina eateries and art are fun.
I particularly had a great experience with the tennis pro, Wayne Forrester. His teaching technique and true evaluation and assistance of aspects of my game were the best I ve ever experienced! There are so many excellent players in the Asheville area that use the facility. I recommend to Omni more marketing to tennis players throughout the country.

An impromptu visit to the Edison dining room after a work event at the Golden Fleece and the antique car museum was a pleasure. With no reservation, we were seated at a beautiful corner table with an extremely knowledgeable and kind server, Stephanie. The view was amazing, the service was attentive, and knowing that you will pay Grove Park prices, nothing was a surprise. The food was delicious. The much hailed lobster mac and cheese was heavy on the cheese and the lobster, but the cheese was overpowering and masked the delicate flavor of the lobster.

We come to the resort and spa at least once a year for the last several years. The rooms in the old part of the hotel are small and bathrooms are smaller, but it's worth the stay. I highly recommend this resort and the spa. Always a great night at the piano bar as well!

The resort has wonderful views of the mountains, the skyline, and the city of Asheville. The staff is friendly. The lobby and terrace is a great place to lounge. There are several restaurants and places to have a drink but of course they are pricey to say the least. The building, architecture and grounds are gorgeous. It has a spa to die for if you can get in. The only issue I had was with self parking if you stay in the original building. I also thought the original part I stayed in was a little creepy and dark (like The Shining) but I came to appreciate it's charm. It has an old tiny elevator behind the fireplace and you had to buzz for an attendant to come down and get you. It also creeped me out because the first guy was probably named Igor. I took the stairs after that. My husband took it down when we checked out and a nice lady took him down. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Asheville and can afford it, this is the ticket. However...I did use my rewards points and would not be leaving such a good review if I paid the price they charged for the rooms on the particular night I stayed. Perhaps weekdays would be more worth it.

This is world class, old world elegance. That is, ...
This is world class, old world elegance. That is, if you define "old world" as turn-of-the century (1900) "how the wealthy do rural America." Under previous ownership this resort collected again hundreds of pieces of arts and craft style furnishings (a la Frank Lloyd Wright) it had discarded through years of misguided updating. The current collection of originals and reproductions would keep a design student transfixed for hours. Marry that with state of the art reservation system, thanks to Omni ownership, and a spa of the quality few Americans ever get to experience, and you have a sense of the GPI. It's expensive, but the ambience of the mountains, done luxury style, is unmatched. Service throughout is superb, and you can literally wander for hours... Or just sit in the Great Hall, and not be bored. Don't miss the free guided Historical Property Tour (which should be offered every day, not just Wed through weekend.) Rooms are nicely appointed, all with great views and modern amenities and conveniences, yet still with a historic charm. Extra roll out bed was provided at no charge. Generous basket of towels, beautiful glass shower, vanity chair and lighted vanity mirror were surprises in the bathroom. Small complementary milk in the in-room fridge to go with the complementary chocolate chip cookie was a nice touch. As were robes (moderate quality) and headboard-mounted reading lights. Fitness center (free with resort fee) is like having an entire YMCA at fingertips. Dueling Piano Bar is fun for guests, especially after a few drinks.. The shining star of the resort is the spa. Entrance allowed only to those purchasing a day pass or a service (massage, facial, etc.) so it's quite elite, but is the pinnacle of pampering and an experience that will not be forgotten. Mineral pools, lap pool (grotto style with soothing music provided by underwater speaker system, with mini twinkling lights overhead), polar plunge pool, outdoor hot tubs, etc. All immaculate, heavenly scented with essential oils, and service personnel at every turn. Truly the way to feel like Queen for the Day. When reserving, consider reserving for one night less than you would like to stay. You may be offered an additional night for half price, as I was. Problem is, that offer won't come until a few days before your visit.

We have never stayed here but come every year for the Ginger Bread House competition. A very.high class old world hotel so everything is pricey. But you do get service. We ate at the Blue Ridge Artisanal Buffet. $45 per person but everything was fantastic. A wonderful x-mas treat for us.

VERY VERY PRICEY, But the view makes it worth it. Parking for non-guests costs $20 and a craft beer will run you $8, however you can take your drinks anywhere on the property. So you can hang out on the HUGE, sun deck and drink your beer while you check out the amazing view. Well worth the pricey parking.

We went on a four day company reward trip. This became my favorite place to visit. It is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy their amazing cuisine and take in all that Ashville has to offer! This picture is an example of their wedding set up. Simple yet beautiful. River rocks and moss below the glass top.

Sometimes words cannot describe a place that embraces the concept you conceive as a perfect getaway, providing comfortable ambience, history of hotel service, experienced staff who relish in providing service and stylish accommodations.
The two massive fireplaces with the rocking chairs sets the tone for relaxation. The view of the mountains from varied prominent locations. Yes, Grove Park Inn has its place in the hearts of those who receive the gift of a stay.

The Grove Park always impresses with the atmosphere and views. However I have noticed since Omni has taken over that it has lost the charm of a quaint inn with excellent customer service. I have found it to be more production type hospitality with hurried service and less attention to detail. The restaurants are no exception, they have excellent quality food, but again the service is hurried and less refined toward customer satisfaction. If you are looking for a getaway with an exceptional spa this is the place period. If you are looking for an excellent weekend retreat with exceptional attention to detail, perhaps one of the boutique inns in town is a better bet.

Went for a spa day. Probably one of the most enjoyable days I have all year. The spa has couples pools, lounges and hot tubs with waterfalls. The men's and women's respective areas have their own lounges, dry sauna, steam room, hot tub and contrast pool. There is an attached cafe to provide food and beverages. Additional services are available. Purchase of one of those services or a stay at the hotel is required to purchase a day pass.

Food was good. Chairs at the first table we were sat at were very uncomfortable. They accommodated our request for another table. We had a party of 6 and two of their salads were not prepared per the menu. It was quickly resolved. Service was okay, and a member of our party had a birthday and received a free dessert. Overall the food was good and the view was lovely.

A great historic hotel. If you would like to enjoy an enchanting weekend with that special someone in your life, the Grove Park Inn, is that special place. Their "World Class" Spa, is a place where you can be pampered and treated like "Royalty." The Grove Park Inn offers great dining options, from a gourmet experience, to a family meal, or a light snack. If you enjoy a magnificent cup of coffee, try their Peetes Coffee, located in the area of their gift shops. You will not be disappointed. Or sit and relax fireside with your favorite beverage, in the historic lobby, where Kings, Queens, Presidents and other dignitaries have enjoyed leisure conversations. Take a stroll around the property, in one of their enclaves for some quiet conversation, or dine in your room, from their wonderful room service menu. Take a moment to shop at one of their many boutique gift shops, to buy that special someone a unique gift. Enjoy your stay at the Grove Park Inn, where you will be called by name and made to feel special. If you come during the Christmas Holiday Season, you will enjoy the many decorations, to include their annual Gingerbread Competition Displays. Enjoy yourself at the one of a kind Grove Park Inn, an Omni Hotel, that offers a taste of Europe complimented by it's charming history.

This place is very pricey, but worth it. You re getting a five star hotel, with 5 star service at a 4 star price. You can stay in the historic part of the hotel, like I did, or the newer part. The historic rooms are rustic, lacking outlets by the night stand and USB ports. But you fell like you re staying in a mountain lodge. The newer part is like any other hotel room, but with morn modern conveniences. The grounds are spectacular. So are the rooms. The hotel is made of stone and has the lodge feel. The lobby is lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

From the historical features on the property and in the rooms, to the myriad of services and eating options available, capped off by a wonderfully helpful staff; The Omni at Grove Park Inn does not disappoint. The room was beautiful, spacious, and most importantly comfortable! I adore Asheville and this property gets top marks.

Very cool old hotel with incredible sunset views and great history. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. A great experience.
We stayed in the old hotel portion of the resort and were a little disappointed in our slightly dingy room between the temperature fluctuations hot and cold without changing the thermostat and the bathroom with a combo shower/bath that isn't fully enclosed and splashed around the bathroom.
