We visited the Edison for our anniversary. The service was terrible and the food was just as bad. We had to send mine back, because the server would not come to the table. The server visited our table 4 times during our entire visit. Also, the pretzel roll appetizer was a hamburger pretzel bun toasted and cut into small bites. At 7 months pregnant, I was over it and we left to try and Salvage what was left of our anniversary. If you want just drinks, a view and an appetizer, Sure! But if you expect a nice meal, make your reservation somewhere esle.

My favorite part of the whole experience besides the beauty of the hotel was the staff. They made you feel welcome even if you weren't staying there. Peter the elevator man was the most welcoming of them all.

Very fancy hotel. Awesome swimming pool and sports complex. Extremely friendly staff and comfortable beds. Definitely not inexpensive, you will spend lots of money on the room and restaurants. Great views, and great spa.

The main old building is beautiful, this history is fascinating, and the view is great. I was busy at a conference so I did not get to experience the spa, the sports facilities, or the regular restaurant dining menus. My room was in the old building, alas not with a view (other than the parking lot). It was comfortable. The tv service was a bit weird (old tv?), but I wasn't there to watch tv so I didn't really care. I was near the elevator, but since it's not available at all hours that was not a problem. The staff are very friendly. I was quite happy with my stay, I wish I had allowed more time to explore the hotel, Asheville, and the surrounding areas.

Great places to eat, and a historic place to visit and in the winter check out the ginger bread houses! Loved it so much! For an awesome experience try the buffet, its got a lot of good food and awesome presentations, especially in the desert section! While food can get pricy make it a once in a while thing and hit it all in one go! I thought that the takeover of omni would affect the hotel a lot but it ended up not. Kudos to Omni and everyone who works there, great place! Highly recommended!

It has been two years since I went there, and I can't stop thinking about it. The fireplace, the ambience, the elevators, the rooms, the halls, the rocking chairs...I was enamored with this place!

This historic hotel has excellent service, incomparable views, delicious food, and unique shops inside and out. I've stayed there and loved it and return for lunch on the terrace whenever in the area. You can't go wrong visiting the Grove Park Inn. It's amazing!

We just went to see the gingerbread houses and get food and drinks. The barman Robert was so incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit great by hunting us down some honey mustard. The place is so pleasant and the staff are all pretty friendly.

From the moment you drive up to the hotel the customer care, scenery, restaurants, service are exceptional.
Our spa day was an extremely relaxing day doing nothing. I would highly recommend The Grove Park Inn for anyone looking to escape for a couple of days.

On of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed! Surrounding area is stunning, City is neat, golf course is fun. Did I say scenery was amazing? Spa is outrageous according to my wife. Hope to definitely return. Bucket list item for sure.

Even if you could never afford to stay here, you've gotta visit. The view is iconic, and there are several restaurants within the grounds for all levels of affordability.
If you manage to get a hold of the busy, yet helpful, staff, ask about teh history of the hotel for some great tourist knowledge

If you are in Asheville the Grove Park Inn is worth a visit. Get a cocktail from one of the bars and walk around the place or just sit outside and take in the views of downtown and the mountains beyond.

My wife and I spent a night The Grove Park Inn for my 30th birthday compliments of my parents. I had never stayed there and was rather impressed with the resort itself, but more importantly the people and service we received. In particular, William at the front desk really went above and beyond and added to what was already a fantastic stay. I highly recommend a stay here, especially at Christmas. And ask for William!

Our December 2019 stay at Grove park Inn was in celebration of our anniversary. The staff greeted us cordially. Our room was wonderful, We stayed in the Sammons wing. We had the most wonderful view of Sunset mountain and the golf course . The grand hall with it's majestic fireplaces feels like something from a simpler time. We enjoyed it daily. We enjoyed dining at the Blue Ridge, The food was delicious. We enjoyed the historic tour of the property. The place is awesome, But we feel like your best asset is the staff. They took the time to celebrate us. The Grove Park Inn is a joy to visit and we certainly hope to do so again. There are many things to enjoy while in Asheville, We're glad we included Grove Park Inn.

Nice place. A bit overpriced. They charge extra for everything including the WiFi which is the poorest of any hotel I have stayed in lately. A business man would not be pleased but I guess he could pay for a better WiFi.

It is really sad that I cannot provide 1/4 of a star for this place.
We had planned a romantic get-away in the mountains for hiking, spa appointments, wine drinking and birthday celebrations and at every step when given the opportunity to shine this establishment fell flat.

First, I want to start with the lack of cleanliness; the cockroaches we saw in the hallway in front of our room, the beer glasses remaining on a side table left near a rocking chair my partner occupied some 18 hours earlier and muddy floors in reception.

Secondly, the fact that a birthday cake was purchased and immediately dropped by their valet/bellman staff when delivering luggage to our room with NO APOLOGY, they just took their tip and left.

Third, the loud children screaming and running in the corridors when guests clearly placed "Do Not Disturb" placards on their doors. We had to call Security twice!

Fourth, though we tried the spa was completely booked and we were unable to take advantage of these services. You would have thought that after the birthday cake incident they would have at least offered that up as a mea culpa. Alas, this was NOT the case.

In closing, they were given several opportunities to make things right and they did not.

So if you seek decent service, a peaceful couples weekend, or any modicum of empathy - I implore stay elsewhere!

Absolutely stunning, even in the pouring rain associated with the hurricane. The staff was kind and extremely attentive. The grounds were gorgeous. The historical displays and information were wonderful.

Just spent one night and decided to order room service instead of waiting for a reservation to open up in the restaurant...had a lovely experience...got a good rate by waiting 'til the last minute (but, the last minute thing meant no good reservation times and the spa was booked.)
