Paul Segal Review of Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa
Hard to know how to rate....I didn t stay there......
Hard to know how to rate....I didn t stay there....I walked around the grounds in the Rain & it was very very impressive. We walked into the spa and from the exterior it was very impressive.
So, pret tell, where did they loose their stars.....
After graduation from UNCA, we brought the whole family to eat.....my niece is a chef and she has been going thru chemo....she specifically booked the meal @2:30pm to get her favorite dish, some sort of steak dish. They refused to serve it because it wasn t dinner.
We had a very large crowd ~15, but the table couldn t accommodate us? So we all had to start moving tables and my niece had a bad shoulder and she asked for some help and she was also upset about her steak and going thru chemo this past year and losing her father....the Mgr said I heard the way you spoke to my employees and that s not acceptable, so we will get you in and out as quickly as possibility .
My niece was so horrified she asked for her food to go. I went over and explained the whole story to the Mgr and she was so rude to me too . I asked her if she could apologize to my niece so we all could enjoy our family together...
It, she was a very proud woman and she stood her ground and said she did nothing wrong and she refused to apologize just to make a client happy and a table,of 15 that spent over $500
She was too proud....
You can only imagine how that left a bitter taste in everyone s mouth.....everyone had been coming here for over 20 years eating and staying her on many occasions.....
It was a very sad experience to see a Mgr not willing to put aside her feelings for the sake of the clients....how much does an apology cost these days
