Great hotel near Grandview Medical center. Friendly staff and great accommodations.

kinda rundown and dirty. the pool is very small was always standing room only kind of full. first room they gave us, the key wouldn't work. it took over 30 mins of going back and forth for them to realize it was the reader on the door. neigboring rooms were having multiple people coming in out like they were having parties. front desk was short staffed as well. we couldn't cancel because we booked through a 3rd party site. so they upgraded us to the top floor... where the air conditioner didnt work in the extra bedroom making it MISERABLY hot. the coffee maker had mold growing inside of it. not fun place to stay at all..

Excellent Customer Service!! The food served here is really good. The people at the front desk are exceptional! And I love the popcorn being available and free all day. The rooms are okay. And this location is really good for walking over to Pappadeaux restaurant and it's close proximity to a really nice shopping outlet, almost like a Tanger Outlet.

Good room. Friendly service. Indoor outdoor pool. Breakfast. Good place.

I will never stay here again. My husband had planned a getaway for us here. Alot of people were not practicing social distance. The Breakfast was Horrible. What a waste go elsewhere.

The hotel is always clean and they give away lots of free food. The staff is so friendly too. The hotel is well run and making reservations was very easy. I always stay here while in Birmingham.

Great service but the sheets had marks on them. The free breakfast and dinner was great with two free alcohol beverages at the end of the night.

Lots for the kids to do and the free breakfast was very convenient.

This was a great and relaxing experience. I stayed 2 nights. The hotel was conveniently located and exceptionally quiet at night. The front desk staff were very professional and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and well-equipped. The hot breakfast was very good, well-stocked and maintained. I had not heard of the Drury Inns previously, but put them at the top of my list now. My thanks to the staff for a very relaxing stay! I will definitely be back.

One of my favorite hotels to stay in and I stay in plenty (100+ nights a year)! Friendly staff, comfy rooms, clean amenities, and a nightly manager special with 3 adult beverages per night. Awesome!

Looking for a getaway for one night and chose this location. When we arrived, it was a lot going on. It was quite a few people checking in and the nightly reception was happening. Not to mention, football was on. Check in was fast and the ladies at the front desk were very nice. The reception was nice. Free alcohol and snacks. It really was a full meal! Very nice! Room was clean and also got a late checkout until 1! It was my first time at Drury Inn but definitely not my last!

The hotel was located just near the interstate and very easy to park. However, my wife and I walked around the whole hotel since we arrived after 10 and the doors were locked down. Minor annoyance but should be easier to find the main entrance. Also the main entrance was quite narrow, so guests have to single file in. The architecture is a bit dated but they have modernized the decor quite a bit. The room was nice appointed and the staff was very friendly. I would stay again.

I LOVE this hotel! It was pretty and clean. The staff was friendly. There's a free morning buffet with actual HOT food! The daily evening "kickback" with free HOT food AND free alcoholic drinks was way more than I expected. My kid and I loved the real indoor/outdoor pool. (Open pretty much all day) You can actually jump in the pool inside the building, swim under the wall, and look up and you're outside the building in the pool!! I spent most of my time in the heated pool though. Beds were clean and soft. Fridge, microwave, iron and coffee maker in the room... fitness room on site... home away from home. Lovely lovely hotel.

The quality of the hotel pretty good. The rooms are pretty small. But good. No exaust fan in bathroom was a downfall. The night staff very rude and not welcoming.

I am definitely one to read reviews on a hotel before choosing to stay. So here I am leaving one for any that are like me. Our stay at Drury Inn (Grandview/Birmingham) was exceptional. From the time we walked in the door to check in to the time we left I can t say enough great things! Between the fresh free popcorn and fountain drinks in the lobby, the free dinner (which wasn t just appetizers but actual baked chicken, baked potatoes, pasta & salad), the free adult beverages, the hot breakfast, and the comfortable bed, it was an overall wonderful experience. The staff was exceptional and the bartender went above and beyond to make sure there was nothing we needed. My husband and I were in Birmingham for two days consumed with medical appointments. The hot tub and pool were exactly what we needed to relax at the end of the day! I ve heard some places in the Birmingham area tend to be a little unsafe. This location was great, felt safe, and was only minutes from everything! We will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Where do I start? My son and I are visiting the area for a soccer tournament. We checked in at 7pm Friday night. My son saw some of his friends in the dining area where they just finished up a meal provided by the hotel from 5:30-7pm for free. He was able to get a drink, hot dog, and soda while I was at the desk. I got the keys and he came up to me and said "Dad, I rate this hotel a 5 star!" LOL. Anyway, we got to our room and got settled and unpacked. When I started to put some items in the fridge, I noticed it was not cooling. When I called the desk, Matt and Zac came up to try to adjust it to make it work, and said "If it isn't cooling in 30 minutes, we will come by with a new one." Well, it did not, and sure enough they showed up with another refrigerator.

I have never experienced this level of service at a modest hotel such as this. Whoever is training/hiring the customer service personnel obviously is highly competent and qualified.

As far as the hotel is concerned, everything is VERY clean and neat. My son had a really fun time in the indoor/outdoor pool with his friends. The beds and linens look to be brand new and very comfortable.

I was apprehensive about staying at a hotel that was not affiliated in a chain, but Drury Inn sets the standard of what a hotel should be. Do yourself a favor and stay a night the next time you are passing through B'ham! You will not be disappointed.....

We had an amazing stay at Drury's on Lakeshore Dr. In Birmingham, Alabama. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. Best bed I've slept on in a long time even the
Pillows were great. The food was tasty and hot and the pool was awesome. Thanks Drury's for a great stay can't wait to come back.

Staid there plenty of times before, got there at 830, the towels and sheets were piled in the middle of the room, the second room was a smoking room, the third room was dirty. My wife was upset and she wanted to go somewhere else, so we did. They did give a free night, but unfortunate it was to there hotel, maybe just a off day.

1st time staying at Drury Inn and Suites and I was thoroughly impressed from chk in to chk out. Great service and nice rooms!

Went here for a business meeting today. Clean, updated meeting space with easy access to clean restrooms and coffee and even free soft drinks in the lobby. Meeting spaces could be much worse. Parking was safe and near the entrance and everything was clean and tidy. Impressive job.

OK place to stay. Clean rooms, but was humid in the room. Had to keep a/c really cold to keep the clammy feeling at bay. Room needs the carpet sanitized in my opinion. For the price of the rooms, it could use some improvements in comparison to other places I have stayed. Breakfast and evening meal is ok. But nothing to brag about.

Made reservations a week in advance. I have trouble walking and getting around so asked for a room on lower level. Was told they were booked up on those levels. Would have to go higher. We arrived at 4:45 in the afternoon and was assigned to the top floor. When we got to the room it wasn't made up. Went to the check in and was assigned another room on the second floor, it wasn't made up either. We waited for them toclean and get it ready as we wanted lower floor anyway. Come to find out they mostly assign when you arrive, so they could have accomodated us on the first request. Finally got around at 6:15 to use there social hour. The food bar was empty, except for chili, baked potatoes, no salad, no hot dogs or buns, salsa was empty, chips were crumbs. Will try again before they close as there are no resturants near this facility. Stayed at marion drury the night before was totally different atmosphere. Every thing there was excellent. Have stayed at drury in many states. This is the first bad experience. Will think twice before staying at this location again.

There are several reasons I enjoyed my stay. 1st let me say that I usually spend around $56 a night to stay at a hotel. The difference in my normal cost was worth it due to several factors. Booking made easy, cleanliness, whirlpool and the breakfast and kickback 5:30pm to 7:00pm which during that time food is served. It is a small menu, but I saved a few dollars because I didn't have to purchase Breakfast or lunch during those hours.

The rooms were very nice and the beds super comfortable. We enjoyed the evening and the breakfast meal very much. The pool was a little dirty and our toilet ran constantly but those were the only negatives. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

This is a fantastic hotel for families! Free wifi, breakfast, happy hour and parking! The room is gorgeous and the beds are comfy. The staff is super friendly. The kids loved the indoor and outdoor pool and it stays open until 10. Whenever I'm in the area I will stay here.

Hotel was being renovated, but the service and accommodations were still top notch.

I was expecting great things based on the reviews that I said and then I started that I had. It was very clean and well-maintained.. I love the fact that they offer complimentary happy hour and it made me feel and breakfast. I will say that the food and drinks were not the best and I may have just gone out to dinner. Also I was not impressed with the fact that I encountered. They seemed understaffed and stressed. The lady who served as our breakfast was extremely unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable for getting food. It was okay but definitely not what I was expecting.

We stayed here over the weekend of 3/10-3/12. Absolutely one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The food and drinks at dinner and breakfast were amazing, we will be back.

If you get there in time, from 5:30pm-7pm they do drinks and dinner. In the mornings until 9:30am weekdays and 10am weekends they do breakfast. Love the breakfast it is delicious. Good for families and the room is clean.
