Grand Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok Review

Aged but still very good and attractive rates by making good value for money

Stayed in the room with living room and small kitchen, nice hotel, eventhough is old the hotel having good maintenance. Things to note, a lot of chinese tours staying in this hotel.

Decent hotel. Unfortunately the pool is on the cool side as it receives zero direct sunlight. Two other things keeping this from the stars- it seems the smoking area is in front of the entrance, so upon arrival you may very well have to wade through a cloud of cigarette smoke. The other is their non-effort to live up to their corporate responsibility statement that their towels grow trees. We stayed here 4 nights and although we hung our towels as instructed, housekeeping brought fresh towels and linens daily. So much for protecting the environment.

Delicious food buffet Come to the pro range is very good

Luxury hotel next to the plaza, welcoming and attentive staff. Very clean.
Breakfast worthy of this type of accommodation, a palace!
Laundry service a bit expensive and does not speak French at all despite the hotel premises and hotel lounges which nevertheless have very French names.

The lobby is very busy with screaming Chinese coming in in large groups. The hotel is very dated and certainly not worth more than 3 stars. Overflowing toilet, dirty bathroom sinks, old cupboards drinks are over priced, the stars they claim to have are certainly not correct. To get to the swimming pool you have to cross the parking garage on the 5th floor, here you can also see all the junk and rejected furniture.

Great place to stay in Bangkok. Walking distance to Nana BTS station. Most of the staff are friendly except the taxi counter at the entrance who always try to sell their company car to guests instead of the meter taxi even after refusing.

I know the old line, but it is a hotel with a lot of old feelings. It is the biggest advantage of being near Nana Station. There are also a number of Martha's shops and pubs nearby. If you are more concerned about your surroundings, you will spend a long time in the recommended room.

Rooms are nice and service is good.
Breakfast includes indian food too.

- beautiful swimming pool (but not rooftop) and open late (9 PM)

- no rooftop bar
- hotel and furniture getting old for the price

The hotel itself was ok, but the service staff's attitude was unfortunate

There are many kinds of breakfast, but the cockroach sometimes appears in Chinese style hotel

we love staying here. we have stayed 5 times. the staff are helful and the rooms are comfortable. it is close to eating places, shopping and public transport. the breakfasts offer a wide variety of food. it is clean and we maintained.

Being a regular guest at Grand Sukhumvit, the hotel and the staff has never stopped in suprising me. Hotel has always made me feel at home.
The hotel being very central and next to the metro is a plus.
The staff , the front manager and specially the hotel manager who goes out of the way to help if one has any doubt or problem. The hotel as always is clean and tide. The room service is prompt and very professional. The food in the restaurants is delicious especially breakfast with a huge variety of diffrent cuisine to choose from....
As mentioned it's a home away from home.
Their is nothing negative which I can think of commenting.

Great Hotel and would recommend. Yes, you can have guests for no extra charge for you single guys.
Located 2 minutes from the BTS in the sukhumvit area, the location is very ideal. If you go to the left, you'll be by the bars, pubs, and seedy nightlife area as nana plaza and soi cowboy are both 10 minutes away. If you go to the right, the bts station is 2 minutes away up the alley and the hussle and bussle of the city is right there. Breakfast buffet is good and changes a few items every day, would recommend. Staff was very friendly and helpful, didn't notice anything missing, but obviously i kept my necessities in the set your own code safe in the room. Massage on 4 floor is amazing, i wish i would've taken advantage of this sooner because i would've gotten one everyday. Room service was legit.

Cons?
Breakfast is super packed in the morning to the point i barely had a seat and this was around 8 a.m.
Mold growing above my door, not sure how this wasn't caught but it's easy to see.

i'd give 4.5 stars. Or 4 it isn't perfect, but it was good for and to me. Would stay again.

The restaurant and bar are very expensive by Bangkok standards and even Western standards in my opinion. It s cheaper to get a beer in Canada than at this hotel, which is ridiculous. Same for the food. This was very disappointing and the main reason I will not return. Also, although it s clean, the hotel is getting a bit dated (scuffs on some walls in our room, peeling counter finishings, etc). All minor, but unexpected given the 5-star rating on Agoda and over $100 CAD per night price tag.

Location is good but far from downtown and grand palace (20 mins by cab) but close to BTS (3mins to Nana station) and 15 mins walk from the metro. Getting to downtown and Khaosan road from here was a bit of a trek as BTS doesn t go all the way and metro with wait times will take over 45 mins.

The hotel is clean and well managed. The staff are friendly and the bar has live music to keep things lively.

Staff were great. This is a 4-star hotel, not 5. Overall, there are better hotels at this price.

Hotel is ok..staff very helpful but my room was very old indeed.. wallpaper falling off, dust everywhere, furniture old and looked like it had been bashed about.. not very good tbh. I called up and I was shown a few alternate rooms and move for one of them. To be honest i am a bit disappointed as Accor hotels are normally very well maintained...

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, lively neighbourhood, great buffet. Drinks were expensive.

I had a suite on the 27th floor. The decor is old and worn, but for under 100 the night a suite is able to do that is absolutely fine. The only thing that bothers me is that there are many Chinese groups in the hotel, so there is a constant coming and going.

Rooms are spacious. Shopping malls are at a walking distance. Hotel service is AWESOME. Definitely recommend this hotel

The hotel is located in the city center, a 5-minute walk from the metro. The rooms are spacious, clean. Comfortable pillows, mattresses. There is a kitchen. Stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes. There are forks and spoons, but we did not find a knife. The interior design is a bit outdated, slightly ragged. But overall, everything is fine. The pool for such a hotel is miniature). Good breakfast with a good selection of food.

Very accessible location from the skytrain BTS. The interior is considerable luxury and clean. Service was great and the lunch buffet were filled with variety of national food with tasty and delicious combination. Moreover, this place is a good choice for seminars and meeting.

Convenient location.

This is the place to stay at, and relax in downtown Bangkok, if you can afford it of course. The location is perfect, few steps away from the metro station. The roof top pool and "oasis" is out of this world! Perfect place to relax and sip on a drink... you would not believe you are in the city! Service is great, and the room and facilities in the hotel was top notch. Would go back again!

Parking lot is good. Big garden customers are foreign.

Nana Station is just around the corner, and VIVA (restaurant) is also a great base for close proximity.
I stayed at the deluxe suite
This is about 4 hotels? ? I can not but think, the furniture that was damaged in the moldy corridor

When I went out from the morning and came back at 17:00, I was honestly confused that the cleaning had not been completed. On that day, I changed only the towel and refused to clean it, and I wasn't feeling out of the room with my finger.
However, as it is a country where the toilet paper can not be washed away, it would have been nice to have the trash collected as well.

How to use the safe is written on the back of the door.
Press any four digits and press the lock button to tighten, press the same number to unlock.
There is a sense of security because you can change the number each time you use it. There was a bathtub and shower, too strong pressure

Because the bath is covered with glass and the toilet is next door, it will be a complete view when you come to the bathroom while taking a bath.

This hotel needs a renovation. The bathroom had mold on the tile and the carpet and couch where badly stained. I would never call this a 4 star hotel it's more like 2 stars. We checked out after the first day and moved to another hotel.

The room is comfortable, but there is no view outside the window.

If coming in an urgent period (6: 00-9: 00, 15: 00-18: 00), use the runway through the tobacco gate to come out at the end of Soi Sukhumvit.
4 is the most convenient near the hotel.
Again ... if coming to Hotel must use
Soi Sukhumvit 4 and exit via Soi Sukhumvit 6 only. PS. Parking place is spacious.
Convenient bus tour bus ....

Very good hotel nice location I highly recommend the place, nice breakfast and last not the least the staff are nice and professional I will definitely come back there for my next stay in Bangkok .

Nice hotel to stay as its in tge midst of the city and good for shopping as sky train station also is very near for people to go to siam centre or MBK mall.But do not try the cocktails as its total waste of money pathetic drinks

Good location. Off in an quiet alley away from the adults bar area which is a 3 mins walk if that's ur thing. Overall services r acceptable. My friend is an accord member but hotel didn't offer the welcome drinks which she was not pleased. Housekeeping ok.My bedsheet is cleaned but with a stain on the side. Room n bathroom r on the large size but has the well used look to it. U hear door closing but otherwise can't hear ur neighbors which is a good thing.

We would have expected something better for the price. Everything is a bit old.

The second hotel after subway station Grand Center point, difference in price difference such as traffic convenience, location and hotel condition. I would like to spend some more money and stay at the Grand Center point ... Other luxury hotels near subway station do not stay and can not be evaluated.

The Lotto Buffet comes 4 pay 2, but the order of the lotteries doesn't come. Then followed again, did not come The whole table had eaten 3 pieces.

There is also high speed Wi-Fi, but free of charge Wi-Fi is about the average speed of a hotel in Thailand.

My family and I stayed at Grand Sukhumvit from July 5, 2019 until July 10, 2019. Upon checking in, our room was upgraded and the hotel employees were very nice and helpful. However, I had a bad experience with the food.

I had a seafood dish, consisting of green shells and shrimps, served during breakfast on July 10 around 10:00 at the hotel restaurant. I already felt that the seafood was not fresh enough but I proceeded to finish what I took.

We left hotel between 12:15 and 12:30 and arrived at Don Mueang airport around 13:00 for the flight at 17:10. At 13:15, I had nausea and developed severe abdominal pain. I then vomitted many times, had diarrhea a few times and was lying helplessly. Medical team came to help me who was still lying down on the ground around 14:30 and immediately sent me to the clinic on the first floor.

The doctor suspected that I got food poisson and gave me a few medicines. As I didn't eat anything after breakfast until this incident, my hubby and I suspected that this was due to the consumption of seafood dish at the hotel restaurant. We fortunately caught the flight in time.

Need renovation.

Really love the hotel! Amenities are very accessible. Close to BTS Station and easy to get to places. Rooms are very well maintained and good for family with kids
