Was quite disappointed as the hot water in our shower took about 15 minutes to warm up, the remote for the tv wasn t sensitive enough to change a channel without pushing it 10 times. Also the parking options weren t explained. We either had to pay $12 dollars at Wilson s parking and wake up at 6am to move the car, or as it ended up payed $86 dollars when we went to pick up the car at 8am. The valet didn t explain it properly. We would have paid for the valet $60 parking if we d have been told the options. Very disappointed!

Really miss this grand hotel! Excellent services and great staff, very professional and polite. Walked in and was greeted by lovely employees. Rooms are of exceptional standards and very clean and luxurious. Wonderful breakfast and dinner buffets and I could just sit there and eat all day. Nice open views to the city and easy access to transport. Highly recommend staying here, it s well worth your money.

Almost everything was impeccable. Most notably, the staff. Genuine, polite, and personable. The entertainment (television and entertainment packages) was painfully slow, similar to the internet speed - compared to many others. This was the ONLY thing, however, and the rest of our stay was amazing, as usual.

My partner booked this for us a surprise for a couple of nights in the city and we had an awesome time. The room was really nicely appointed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. They even upgraded our room. Had a great time here. Will do it again!!!

Second time I have had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. My only comments are always needing to ask fir skim milk in the room, and why, oh why does it still appear that guests are not told exactly how to use their door card to access their floor whe first using the lift? I had to show 3 guests how to do so.

Visited Grand Hyatt bar for a few drinks and snacks. Service was excellent, however overpriced for some of the snacks. Sweet potato crisps were not what I had envisioned given prices (i.e. they're not chips).

Poor costumer service!! Our company booked 2 rooms...

Poor costumer service!! Our company booked 2 rooms for 2 of us for a training in Melbourne. We checked in at 6:30pm and we were given 2 rooms that are not made up and the ironing board on top of the bed. We were really tired and we went downstairs to request another room that is already clean and ready. The person on the checkin counter was not apologetic and said he has no explanation for what happened. I was really disappointed as I am not expecting this kind of treatment from a 5 star hotel. We had to wait another 20 mins for our room to be ready.

With amazing room service from high end chefs and impeccable staff service, you will surely be taken care of in this luxury hotel.

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne 59 nights...

I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne 59 nights this year (nearly every week since June) due to my company policy. I have been disappointed by something different on every single stay. Problems include:
- Today the belhop put me in a cab who pretended to be broken because he didn't want to take a 2km fare. When I returned to the bellhop, he told me to find my own next taxi!
- At least 3 times I've waited over 90 minutes for very simple room service that was forgotten about (each time they offered to provide food free of charge, but when I asked for points instead, they agreed but never actually credited them)
- At my first stay I requested foam pillows. They have been in the room upon check-in only 3-4 times
- They charged the wrong credit card (I asked them 3 weeks in a row to change the credit card they had on file, they kept going back to the old one)
- I leave a few items at the hotel over weekends in between stays; these are almost never waiting in my room upon check-in (I check in late on Sundays and the last thing I want to do is wait for them to find my things)
- I had a breakfast meeting in the lounge and the attendant was incredibly rude and wouldn't allow my guest in without a huge fee (fee was far more expensive than any nearby brunch place)

Overall, I'm happy to overlook a problem here and there, but the Grand Hyatt has consistently proven that they can't provide service worth their price.

Once my company policy changes, I will happily return to the hotel down the street that has significantly better service. I suggest you look there instead.

It's classy,

It's classy,
love the ambience, people (99% of them were genuinely nice people, or at least gave me that impression) and place.

Breakfast buffet is provided, and will satisfy you more than enough with their selection of savory and cereal breakfast, complete with ranges of juices and fruits.

Foods are delicious, and might be even tailored to your need at special price. ($$$)

I was given room at lvl 29, so the view outside was magnificent, especially during the night, where most places were well lit. It's mesmerising.

Fitness facilities, pool, dry - and steam sauna are available for guests.

The location is quite central, which makes traveling easy.

This should be a five star hotel, but there s just enough misses to make you want to go somewhere else. Strangely I have to start with the pop-up art, it s bad enough to have bright cows in the foyer, but at least that s to promote something but not he god awful flowers just take your breath away. I ve been here twice since July, and the flower arrangement just can t be described. White fluff for winter and gerberas for spring. Words cannot describe the hideousness. The service is what you would expect for Australia, there, but not fully attentive, rooms made, but not thoughtful. Rooms are well appointed and more modern than many other hotels in Melbourne.

Tried to make an inquiry this morning regarding an offer by Qantas. Received nil help from Qantas and hoped the hotel may have been able to assist with information; after two attempts (line being disconnected) was told unable to assist. Very disappointing Jenny S

We had the diplomatic suite on level 31, amazing r...

We had the diplomatic suite on level 31, amazing room with great views. The kitchenette only offered a mini bar fridge and a microwave, and not much crockery or cutlery. We had access to the lounge which had good nibbles and drinks, it was very busy most times we went. We had lovely surprize gifts: cheese, wine, chocolates, fruit and even gingerbread, which were all very nice. The cleaners were very efficient and left the place looking perfect everytime. I did have some issues picking up my brother upon check out, I think the man manning the valet station thought we were uber drivers and ordered us to move our cars elsewhere, which wasn't a plesant experience. The other valets where extremely helpful picking up our numerous pieces of luggage from the room and patient as we tried to load all our luggage into the car. We had a wonderful stay and will likely visit again soon.
