My hero5 has been freezing since the day I bought in 2016 and gopro has yet to fix the issue. They offered me %40 off a new camera that is going to have the same issue. BUY the knock off cameras for a fraction of the price. They will be out of business in a couple years.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I used to be a huge fan of GoPro until I purchased the Karma Drone. Boy was that a mistake. They had a recall and offered a free Gopro Hero 5 Black which I still have yet to receive and they are now saying they wont do. I returned the drone over two moths ago and still have not received my refund. Ive tried calling the support line and online chat for the last month and only hear background music for hours on end and the online chat is always busy with other customers apparently. Let's just say I'm furious right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

poor customer service, treat customers as criminals. They have stolen money from me, refusing refund on a package, they stopped shipment on, and haven't gotten back (not cause of me). They refuse to solve things, the customers service blames warehouse, but you can't talk to warehouse, and supposable no customer service managers available. Can't wait to sell off my camera and accessories and buy someone one else's camera with better customer service. BBB has a whole page dedicated to this company filled with complaints!

I use my camera in mountain biking ,gopro hero 7 black is the worst camera I have ever Owned it never worked properly, freezing , wrong orientation of video most of the time, does not name the video in order as it takes, sometimes for no reason the battery gets empty in 15 minutes of taking video and worst of all the program QUICK for video editing that gopro offers for free does not work with 4k video, even my old gopro was way better than this junk called hero black 7, the customer service solution recommendation never worked and I find it waste of time and useless I am very disappointed with gopro for releasing this product and selling it to it's loyal customer. no more trusting gopro

Low quality junk. Bought a camera for $350. My son didin't open box or use it for a few months. Opened box took out camera and it would not charge at all. Called GoPro and they would not warranty it or fix it. They told me to throw it out and buy another one. So I lost $350. Next time I will buy a knock off and it will probably be better quality.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Misleading false labeling. First off I bought Gopro Hero 3 Black Edition. On the side of the box it advertises that it's Gopro App Compatible. Well it's not, this feature isn't there yet. I called technical support, and after arguing with the csr, I asked to talk to a supervisor, he refused. I will now be filing an FTC complaint, and a complaint with my AG of my state. False advertising is a crime in my state.

I bought the new Gopro Hero 8 Black for 329 (MP-04139524). I also used the TradeUp program to lower this price for a further 100, after all it is offered that way. I was still charged the full amount. TradeUp was therefore NOT calculated. I contacted your support to get my old camera back and he says that this is not possible under the terms and conditions. What the hell!? It is my camera and I gave it to you for 0 ? This is unacceptable! So you lose a long-standing customer ..... thanks too!

Takes video in a format that Final Cut Pro can't import, always incorrectly judges exposure, constantly creates weird colors in shots, fog forms inside the lens, buttons are hard to operate, there is no screen to see your shots, the video looks like crap, the plastic accessories break easily, the list keeps going and going and going....

The product is great, however the specific online shopping returning and refund experience is a nightmare. The website is not friendly at all in assisting people to process the refund/returns. You will have to get hold of their customer service representatives. The representatives are super friendly and helpful once they receive your call or chat, but the before and after experience are close to nightmare when compared to the customer service experience at other tech companies. One time I waited close to 2 hours just for a chat session to start, and then another whole day for the necessary return documents, forms and shipping labels, to arrive in my inbox. And more than 10 days after my returns were delivered, I am still waiting for a status report from the company or a refund at all.

I would appreciate any updates, even if they are short on logistics people to sort through everything. Also, if you can open up customer service through email that would be a plus.

I love my go pros. Not the best in low light situations at least my hero 2 isn't. Looks like they have made huge advancements to their products since then so I'll have to get the newest and reevaluate the product.

I purchased a Karman a month ago after BestBuy told me it was fixed from its recall. Flew it around 5 times. one time it lost signal and crashed, I replaced the props. flew it a few times more, then on 7/2/17 flew it twice and the second time it lost signal and took off toward the hills on its own and landed in a grassy mountain area. We spent 3 days searching for it and at the same time called GoPro for some help, STILL have not found either the Drone or GoPro. They never answer their phones or respond to a Chat. Don't Buy the Karmen, its not Fixed! Hey GoPro, try answering your phones!

To the other review complaining about features that were clearly stated as being in development: early adoption of new tech should be handled with diligent research, and plenty of patience. I've owned every GoPro and been a loyal customer since the beginning but your lack of support for GoPro Fusion VR Plugins and Premiere 13 is unacceptable. I can't reach or post to support and the only solution is to roll-back Premier which is not a solution. And we are expected to just buy a 7 and pay for support?

If there s a zero star I prefer that because that s the rating you deserve. I purchased a 7 last month and decided to cancel because it will not arrive on my expected time. I call one of your agent and she lied to me i am very disappointed on that day why I listened to him. And when I returned the item they re keep holding my refund because there s missing item but the agent says he can still process the refund and wait for 48hrs and 5 business days but then a lier agent again because when I ask now a new agent my status is still the same they re still holding my money. I returned all the things even the memory card package and the original shipping box everything. This is the last time I will buy at go pro. You want me to wait forever!

Customer service from this company is the worst. Been trying g to get someone to help me for 2 days, all calls go to the Philippines And they REFUSE to send you to a US rep. They all claim they are the highest person and they don t answer to anyone higher.

Got a Karma drone Christmas night, charged it overnight. Before using it I HAD to do all the downloads, which failed a few times. Finally got it flying and it was smooth, was planning on stopping so bringing it back to me when all of a sudden it whipped out of control and into the side of the house. I have all my video except that showing how smooth the flight was. When I called, I was in the phone for 120 plus mins giving details and pictures only to have them ask for the flight data, which you guessed it, would not download, took 5 tries and they still can t get it. Something is wrong and they are refusing to replace it. Spent 1400.00 and got 10 min with of flight. Funny thing, turn the controller on again to try and download the flight plan, there is another update. How can that be? Just downloaded everything beige it would fly.

So all I am asking for is a replacement due to something wrong with the controller, and no one is willing to help.

Can't reach corporate office phone. They allow their customer support folks to handle issues without any corporate oversight. Agent refuses to transfer call to a manager. They promise that a manager would call back within 24 hours. It took them 5 days. They would note on the case file that case was resolved but when in fact, they haven't even made contact with customer. Manager stated in an email that he has been trying to get ahold for me, but phone call log indicated that there were no such attempts. Agents refuse to provide corporate contact. They will claim that they have not been provided with that information. What are they hiding from their own corporate office. I have never seen such incompetent frontline people. If GoPro does not fix this, they will lose a lot of customers to the competitor. Since I am stuck with this Karma, my next purchase will NOT be a GoPro.

Customer service is horrendous

Over two weeks to ship a single go pro camera. Placed an order for a camera using the trade up program and I'm still waiting for the camera.

Calling customer service only makes you more frustrating since calls are not handled in the US.

WORTHLESS customer service.

So sorry I purchased Go Pro products. Their customer service people do not give any straight answers and are barely understandable. They are in the Phillipines. I bought 6 Session cameras. after once or twice being used,they no longer work. I wanted to send them back to Go Pro to have them repaired(at my expense) The guy on the phone Josh would not give me a return address to send them to. i AM SWITCHING TO ANOTHER BRAND" Monster Vision makes a better camera at a lower price and its work better and easier to use. I have over 10,000 dollars in Go Pros and accessorys. This company could care less. I am done with Go pro.

Horrible support. Never shipped preorder and just keep.giving the run around for why my replacement order next day took 5 days to get here. And to think this is how they earn customers back from DJI with the hero 8. I'll take a chinese company that ships on time, and delivers as promised with customer support that is for the customer over a "US" company that cant even provide an English speaking chat rep

Their customer service is just as terrible as their overpriced priced products - if not worse.

Purchased GoPro Care to get my camera replaced and it has taken over 2 weeks to even start the process. Ended up cancelling the program and going with Yi 4K as the GoPro Care and the replacement fee cost nearly the same. Why pay the same when you can get a better and cheaper product from somewhere else. I had to miss a film shoot because of GoPro.

Their customer service just seems to be delinquent and never provides meaningful updates with regards to delays or processes. Also had to give my credit card info over the phone for replacement fee - more reputable companies have a web portal for credit cards info, NOT the phone = insecure.

I cannot recommend GoPro to anyone!

Purchased a GoPro Hero 8 and attempted to set up the Android app. The app required location access to connect to a camera which was unacceptable for my use and there was no way to bypass this requirement. GoPro is lying to consumers and violating their privacy as numerous people have stated the app was accessing location even when not connected to the camera. After confirming GoPro would not fix this issue I decided to return the product. I contacted the customer service and they issued the return as an RMA, which I clearly expressed that it was not an RMA it was a product dissatisfaction return. Needless to say, I printed the label and returned the product, the tracking number confirmed it was received on 6/4/20. A week went by after confirmed receipt and I contacted customer service. They stated it could take 7-10 days before the refund was issued and I needed to wait. On the 11th day I contacted them after not receiving my refund and they said they would "escalate the case". On the 14th day I contacted them and they said they were waiting on response from the warehouse and that I would hear soon. The 17th day they said they had already escalated and I would hear soon. Now the 19th day and STILL the same reply. I have filed a BBB complaint and still awaiting reply from GoPro.

All in all I would recommend staying FAR away from this greedy failing company. They will not survive the next few years. If you are invested you should do your research and search the massive amount of legal complaints filed on BBB. They are listed as a D- approaching 300 complaints. This is NOT an isolated issue, this is how they do business.

Promised 2 day shipping now told by offshore phone bank it may be three weeks aftyer you receive my old GoPro. I have purchased five of them over the yeras and this is a dreadful way to treat a good customer. Wanted to take the latest one on a vacation but that won't happen. No way to discuss the dilemma with anyone in the US. Simply because your attempt to compete with dji was an abject failure you should skimp on customer service.

Do not buy direct from GoPro! I like their products, but the customer service system is a chat that seems so disconnected from actual order fulfillment and returns that it's not helpful. I returned a brand new order only to go weeks without a refund. They kept saying it had been elevated to their "Warehouse Team" and I still don't have my money back. Going to need to go the charge-back route with my credit card company unfortunately.

Absolute joke support. They had me download an update to fix my GoPro WiFi issue which caused further damage that support could not resolve after hours of trying. They offered a solution for me to mail in my previous gen GoPro for a new 7 series at 40% off. Seemed fair so I did it. Paid shipping and sent my camera back.

Well they finally received it and when I go to purchased the camera they are inflating tax and trying to charge me tax as if I m buying the camera at $399 and not $239. This is illegal. If I go buy a car, or anything for that matter, I pay tax on the total I pay. NOT the MSRP or any other made up price. GoPro is dead to me and I will highly encourage everyone to stay away.

While they make decent products (except their Karma Drone = utter crap against the DJI Mavic), their customer service is sorely lacking.
Very unprofessional and NOT helpful, esp. when I had purchased GoPro Care to have my camera replaced from water damage. At least I was able to get a refund for it. I do not recommend this company and best to go with different competitor.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Also be warned this company's customer service department is a joke. The supervisors keep refusing to speak to you to resolves issues. Promises are made to return you call and no one does. Go Pro took my money for a product I ordered over a month ago I have never received the product or my money back. I now feel that I have been extorted out my money. I have called the customer service number many times to resolve the issue in hopes to either have my money refunded or receive the product. The customer service is in the Philippines, the representatives are unhelpful and when you ask for a supervisor your either hung up on or placed on a 30 minute hold and then told the supervisor will not speak to you now, he will call you back. I've now been waiting on a called back for 2 weeks now meanwhile they kept my money and the product. I will be contacting the better business bureau. Please be aware of this company.

GoPro customer support is non-existent. Ordered a camera and never got it - damaged by UPS. Spent two weeks contacting GoPro support. They don't give ETAs for replacement shipping, cannot give any status updates. I'm out $300 and don't have my camera.

Stay away from ordering from them.

i was an unfortunate witness to the gopro staff assaulting a young woman at a night club in orlando following surf expo...the young woman expressed that she didn't like go pro and 3 gopro reps seemingly attacked her inside the club...security escorted the gopro reps and the young lady out the door..it was obvious that Liz (claiming to be the gopro national rep) and the two gentleman accompanying her had consumed a lot of alcohol and were very belligerent towards the young lady...i was appalled at the gopro reps behavior...in light of what happened tonight i would never and would recommend that anyone i know would never patronize gopro...if this is the behavior that this company condones, the world is better off without them...

After spending 20 minutes talking to customer service on the phone. I still don t know what the issue was, and was basically told I could not get the product with that price, because the Black Friday sale was over.

I purchased a GoPro Silver for my teenage son s birthday and gave it to him on December 4th. The device malfunctioned from the beginning (kept turning itself off after a few minutes). Go Pro technical support diagnosed the issue (device was shipped with a bad battery). They said we would receive a new device in 3-5 days. We waited a week and the battery never arrived. I called Go Pro again and they apologized saying that something happened at the warehouse . They said they would ship a battery using two day express delivery and that they would email me a receipt with a tracking number. I received the receipt, but the tracking number field was blank. Another week transpired and we still have not received the battery. It is now December 22nd and we do not have a replacement battery. My son is distressed as he still has been unable to use his birthday gift. This company is either incompetent or dishonorable or both.

If there was a way to rate less than 1 star I would. GoPro Karma drone is the worst drone on the market!!!! I have owned my Karma for a little over 6 months and logged four flights with 3 of those being crashes due to manufacturing issues. I have requested a refund but all of the personnel (in the Philippines)dealing with customer relations told me that no refunds were allowed. I expected so much more from GoPro.
Very let down customer!!!!
