Purchased a GoPro Hero 8 and attempted to set up the Android app. The app required location access to connect to a camera which was unacceptable for my use and there was no way to bypass this requirement. GoPro is lying to consumers and violating their privacy as numerous people have stated the app was accessing location even when not connected to the camera. After confirming GoPro would not fix this issue I decided to return the product. I contacted the customer service and they issued the return as an RMA, which I clearly expressed that it was not an RMA it was a product dissatisfaction return. Needless to say, I printed the label and returned the product, the tracking number confirmed it was received on 6/4/20. A week went by after confirmed receipt and I contacted customer service. They stated it could take 7-10 days before the refund was issued and I needed to wait. On the 11th day I contacted them after not receiving my refund and they said they would "escalate the case". On the 14th day I contacted them and they said they were waiting on response from the warehouse and that I would hear soon. The 17th day they said they had already escalated and I would hear soon. Now the 19th day and STILL the same reply. I have filed a BBB complaint and still awaiting reply from GoPro.

All in all I would recommend staying FAR away from this greedy failing company. They will not survive the next few years. If you are invested you should do your research and search the massive amount of legal complaints filed on BBB. They are listed as a D- approaching 300 complaints. This is NOT an isolated issue, this is how they do business.
