The check in process is seamless and the people are very helpful and nice, never anyone in line.

When you get to TSA its a whole different story. Regardless if you are TSA approved you and your bags will get searched and even with a handful of people in line it could take you a hour. Be prepared to be fully checked and your bags riffled through. I've flown through many times and after this last time I felt compelled to share as I watched multiple people miss their flights due to TSA. It appears they have a bit of a power complex with the position.

Once through the airport is a tiny regional airport with two bathrooms and a small food shop. Which stinks a bit since you have to go through earlier due to TSA.

Although you could sneeze and miss the airport don't wait to go through security!

Love flying into this airport to visit family. Everything is fast and convenient. Fares on the airlines are surprisingly good, I've gotten good award redemptions flying here as well. Dont know why I didn't look into it earlier instead of flying into DTW.

This airport doesn't have planes. They come from Detroit or Chicago. So one hiccup and your stuck. I've been waiting for four hours with the only explanation is we can't update departure time. So departure time is literally a clock! You have no choice but to connect here. Good luck if one thing happens it quickly snowballs

Accommodating airport with friendly staff. Expect longer waits, usually they are under-staffed because of how slow and small the airport is. There's only one terminal so it is very small. This airport is cheaper than Grand Rapids to fly in/out of but you will most likely always have a layover rather than a direct flight if you fly AZO.

At check in the TSA man with red hair and glasses loves his job and stops most women. Seems that a jar of Blueberry preserves is not allowed even though it is not a liquid. They threw my home towns Stokes Blueberry Preserves away. I had the option to check my carry on for$25 for a $6 jar of preserves. IT IS NOT A LIQUID. Thank goodness they had a bar.

I've always had great service at Discount Tire. Hired help is friendly and efficient. Shop around on pricing and go here last to bring them a price to beat. There have only been a couple of times, that they could not beat a price I brought them in. They stock a wide variety and can special order many others and have them in a day or two most of the time.

Wonderful staff and beautiful airport... would have given 5 stars but the music... a few of the fun oldies mixed with the most depressing 60s I have ever heard. When I'm leaving loved ones and family behind, the music about missing a love almost makes me cry every time.

Inconsistencies with their TSA; friendly but ignorant staff (do we have a connecting flight or don't we???); poor experience. Jeff at Delta is a little condescending and a lot apathetic. Probably will not bother with such an inconvenient, ignorant airport again.

Arrived at this airport at 9pm - not 1am - and there was no form of public transportation whatsoever to be found. The one taxi stand had two drivers - and they were both prevailed? Where am I???

I will never fly out of Kalamazoo ever again especially though united airlines. They lost my luggage so I went to go pick it up the next day and there was no United Airlines employee working. So I had to wait another day to get my bags.

This is a small airport that is great for no hassle starting a flying trip. Expect easy parking, a small, single terminal, and fast security as you use this to "pre-enter" into your connecting, bigger airport to take you where you're going. Also, the smaller venue means reduced service options (i.e. food). Take advantage of the airport to avoid headache check-in airports like O'Hare.

*NOTE: We use the Enterprise Rent-A-Car at this location regularly and they are always great, usually with free upgrades!

Small but they work with what they got. This place has more of a museum feel to it. They ve decorated the place with a few historical/ancient looking planes and artistic status, appropriate for all ages. There is a coffee station you can access for a buck or so before going to the gates. Some eatery s at the gates but wasn t open when I came in. If your worried about dumping your water, they have a water fountain at the gates before boarding.

I like this airport! The problem is they will not fix the WIFI . After speaking with multiple staff members multiple weeks in a row. It seems that management is informed but just doesn't care enough to fix the problem.
Otherwise it is quick clean and comfortable.

Try to be loyal and help the local economy. TSA & Airline staff very nice, the rest of it sucks! Last early morning flight, coffee machines are broken, and the seats in the departure area have food stuck to them. Flight choices are ok, but if you miss that connection, you're stuck. Sorry AZO, sticking with GRR and DTW as my go-to.

The Kalamazoo airport used to be great now they are just terrible. The people that work their are rude parking is ridiculous I missed my day by 2 mins and got charged extra money for parking they don't do 30 mins short time parking anymore so if you have to pick someone up you have to pay them. I would rather fly out of Grand Rapids.

I like this airport, it's small and easy to navigate. Best of all their is a "Cell Phone Parking Lot" within view of the terminal (very close) so you can park and wait for arriving passengers to call you. This airport is very functional!

I agree with the reviewer who talked about how atrocious the TSA is at this airport. I live in Kalamazoo and often fly in and out of this airport. First advice is to separate any food or snacks from any electronic items, literally place the food in a separate bag that you can pull out of your luggage. Second, give yourself a full hour to get through security. You may not need it but at *this* airport, you might very well need it. Airline staff are wonderful, TSA not so much.

Efficient little airport with a lot of character. From the airlines to the TSA folks, probably some of the most friendly service I've had at an airport. Very clean and new facility with all of the amenities you'd need at an operation of this size.

Would've given this airport a better rating if it weren't for their TSA. If you're in a wheelchair or carrying a portable oxygen unit they WILL most definitely take you into a room to do a total body search. During the 3rd search, I had tears rolling down my cheeks as I was totally humiliated. I was told by the officer that was searching me that if I said anything else that I would know what a real strip search felt like because I would be going to jail to be searched. She was a total bit_h. And afterwards, of course no one could tell me what caused the search.
Later I was told by an airport employee who saw what happened, that this kind of search almost always happens to the people in wheelchairs and such.
I've traveled on many airlines and been through dozens of airports over the past 40 years and have never been treated so badly.

Overpriced for what it is. $3.09 for a 16oz coffee, $9.00 a day for long term parking. I fly very frequently, and these prices are on par with Chicago, not Kalamazoo. Minimally staffed by the airlines and the TSA, so don't expect a quick passage from check-in to security.

Parking lot is confusing. I was dropped off and it didn't charge them. Was picked up and was charged. Didn't understand why. Small and not a lot of foot traffic and once you enter it's easy to follow the signs and where to go.

It's convenient for Kalamazoo area people.
It's nice to have a short drive to/from the airport and security is easy because there aren't many travelers.
Downside is that few travelers means few staff. There's only one place to get food and there's only one person working there.

Having used the airport more than expected the last two years I have really come to appreciate the friendly team. From the ticket agents to the TSA it is a quick, pleasant process. I have enjoyed the new Pre-check lane (have to admit I thought it was funny at such a small airport at first). The place gets busy in the early morning and the extra lane makes for a much smoother process. Wonderful close parking. Getting home in 15 minutes from landing make this the choice for me!

Convenient little airport that is normally very fast through TSA. The only issue I've had here is being stuck because the plane doesn't make it in from Chicago. Excellent snow removal (see pictures) - I've flown with over 13" on the ground.

Small town airport. Secure, Clean, and well kept. TSA is stickler though. Make sure you follow guidelines to a T. Annoying how you can fly in from another airport with an item but have it rejected here.
