Then the clerks could not find keys to open a certain cabinet that a piece we wanted to look at was in...then we were blown off... lol Off to the next customer they went! Gold and Diamond Source has the best customer service I have ever ran across in any retail store. First off, I had no idea what I wanted to buy, did I want a bracelet or necklace, earrings or maybe a watch. I had no idea, the sales girl was so patient she took more time than anyone ever has with me, she spent well over an hour showing me all my different options. I finally decided on a lovely necklace but when i saw the price I had to think about it overnight. I know the girl was probably disappointed that I didnt buy right then and there, especially with all the time she spent with me, but she was wonderful and I left feeling absolutely no pressure to whether I bought the necklace or not. The next day I went back to the store, the same sales girl was there and even remembered me by my name. I purchased the necklace and gave it to my sister and she loves it. It was the perfect present and brought a huge smile to my sisters face, that alone will take me back to that store for another shopping trip.
Ola was great. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She helped build the ring I wanted. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The military discount allowed me to up grade to diamond I wanted. They didn't try to over sell me. My future wife is very pleased with her ring.
I searched around other stores but was so impressed by Gold and Diamond. Ola Tarrab consultant was excellent in helping us narrow down the choices for an upgrade setting for my present wedding band and diamond of 36 years.She included my husband into the decision and choice. We also got a 25% Veterans discount so was so impressed with this company and actually met Julie Weintraub while we were there. The transformation to the new setting took about a week. I have been a customer of many jewelry stores (including Tiffany's) and have not had a better experience than I did here. It was well worth the 4 hour drive. Troy was patient, informative and very honest. (Yes, this lady knows a bit about diamonds and quality but I didn't let Troy know). He didn't try pushing anything on us (even though we could afford to buy what ever we wanted in there). Troy listened to us. He treated us like we were the only customers there even though they were packed as it was Mother's day weekend. He even made sure I got to wear my ring home the same day! (I wear a size 3 ring. No one has ever been able to offer that service).
We also got to meet Julie. My impression of her, from their commercials, was WAY off base. She was very sweet, down to earth and prettier. I would have been intimidated by her if she hadn't treated us like family (the family members you like).
We will do all of our future jewlery purchases there no matter how far we have to travel.
Bought an engagement ring a little over a year ago from here. Unfortunately the relationship didn't work out so I brought it back to sell with all original paperwork and appraisal and they were willing to offer only less than half the purchase price. This is despite the appraisal value being even greater than purchase price. Considering they allow upgrades and give you full price of the diamond for upgrading, how could selling an entire ring not at least get you the diamond value. The gentleman I worked with was rude and extremely unhelpful.
The staff and salespeople were very caring and extremely knowledgeable in thier field, the owners who were not there that day would have heard an earful on how nice their employees are. It was raining cats and dogs on the day I went to pick out a necklace and matching earrings for my wife, after the purchase was completed they walked me out to my car with an umbrella over me. I also wanted to say that even though I only have one foot, they never made me feel a bit handicapped. Thank you and the staff very much!

We visited them this past August, we were greeted with friendly smiles of welcome come right in. We walked in with excitement hopes of departure of upgraded wedding set in bag from prices on web. We stood patiently a few minutes at their recognize employees next customers in line. While we waited patiently 2 others stood a distance behind us but was attended to first. We immediately felt radically profiled a young lady our culture assisted us, but we also noticed at the same time other cultures were available they just glanced without attempting to proceed next customer. She was professional with open minded friendliness, her natural curls popped! We are in their bridal section hopes for what options we have with prices from website and work with what we had $800 cash on us; $500 on our debit card with credit card of $200. Thoughts of possible credit approval for their card since we have the same bank they do. All of their rings were beautiful and out of our price range. Our credit was denied but explained we understood. My ring I had on was missing a few diamonds, options to add and fix was $1400. He would have been ring less.The wine they served was tasty, they toast to your happy time. Plans if we return in future with more money on hand, gave us motivation to bring $5K. We were not giving up so we went to Kay Jewelers in Tyrone Mall walked out with a beautiful wedding set 50% off with Lifetime Warranty with the money we had and was approved for their credit card for $3500. I receive so many compliments on my two toned rose/white gold ring and the diamond is phenomenal and can be seen across any room! The quality of any other jewelry can not compare to GDS! The Gold and Diamond Source has a great selection of jewelry for a variety of price points unlike their competitors. The staff has outstanding customer service and were very accommodating to my questions including discussing price. Their sales/specials are among the best I've seen in the Bay Area. I highly recommend the Gold and Diamond Source.
In my opinion, the Gold & Diamond Source has fantastic marketing, a beautiful showroom, but you pay a premium for a product that lacks quality. I have purchased 2 rings from them in the past 6 years. The first was a simple band with diamonds that I've had to have repaired twice due to diamonds falling out. The second is a ruby ring that was purchased at Christmas, worn 4 times before the ruby just fell out (luckily my wife found it). They offered to fix it each time, but that's a lot of back and forth. The ruby ring had 1 of the 3 gold prongs just break off (again after 4 wears). They apologized, said they'd take care of it and rebuild it with stronger prongs. My response is, why didn't you do that in the first place? They offered me nothing (other than to ship the ring to me) in terms of compensation for me having to make multiple trips (3 trips) and taking up my time (upwards of 5 hours total due to the drive and time in store) just to get rings repaired. The will wow you with appearance but in my opinion the quality is questionable at best.
Just wait until you try to upgrade or sale your diamond and then you will really know them.
What a great experience we've had with Jules at the Gold and Diamond Source. I am not one that needs a big diamond or to spend lots of money on a ring (there isn't anything wrong with that either!). I am all about quality and customer service. While we didn't spend a lot of money, Jules has treated us as if we spent 50K! I made some changes to the stones in my ring and she has done everything to make sure that I am happy.
We will be sure to refer anyone we know looking for fine jewelry to the Gold and Diamond Source. We will also shop there again when it's time for some diamond earrings!

I came to the Gold & Diamond Source in October to find a replacement diamond for my wife's engagement ring after the original stone, 33 years old, became dislodged and lost because of worn prongs. Elise Lague patiently worked me to match the diamond size, shape, clarity, and color to match as closely as possible the original stone so that it would it would fit in the original bridal ring set. Elise was also great in working with me to keep this quiet from my wife so that I could present her with her "new" engagement ring 33 years later, Christmas morning. Great service from Hala. I had many things on my plate, selling jewelry, purchasing a wedding band and also getting an estimate on upgrading a ring. I purchased a custom necklace that turned out beautifully. The customer service staff was phenomenal and so I will rate "liked it". The disappointment came when I went back to pick up my necklace - the security guard was obnoxious to my kids. We were on our way out boating in Clearwater and of course, they were excited - he told my daughter to remove her sunglasses and my 8 yr old son said ' but there's another person over there with sunglasses on' - I went to throw away some trash and he stopped me. Did he think we were looking to steal in this store? I have never been treated and singled out like that. After this, I won't be back - I was insulted. Man up - you think my daughter and son is going to steal from your store? So that really spoiled the experience - needless to say my husband was disgusted - hurried up to exchange a wedding band that fit because we had already paid for it and took the kids and sat in the car. Unfortunately, this ruined our experience. I am rating it highly solely becuase the staff selling jewelry was phenomenal. I worked with Hala and her sister. And had a great football conversation with an older gentlemen there on staff. But felt insulted when I returned for my pickup because of the security guards behavior - I guess were weren't the right color.. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing again.

My wife and I went to the Clearwater store on 10/12/15 with the intentions to look for a new ring for our 10 year anniversary. I was kind of hesitant to go to this store because I knew jewelry shopping is not one of my strong points and I did not want to get taken advantage of in the process. As we entered the store, we were very intimidated at the place and the amount of jewelry they had to chose from; however, we were immediately greeted by Gold and Diamond Specialist, Mais Tarrab, who quickly settled us down and took great care of us. She took the time to talk to us about our lives, our style, and most importantly, what my wife was looking for in a 10th year anniversary ring. After several minutes of telling Mais what we were looking for, she spent the next hour showing my wife everything they had within our budget that my wife wanted. Mais even took the time to show her the different quality and size diamonds that were available to be set in each ring style. I was so surprise about the fact that at no time was Mais ever pushy nor did she pressure my wife while my wife changed her mind multiple times about the ring she wanted. Mais was very supportive and jumped at my wife's every request to change something or see something new. This was a very important day to my wife and Mais definitely helped make the ring selection process very simple and special to both of us. I visited the store today to try to find a specific Pandora ring. Upon entering, I wandered around the store for a few minutes. When i couldn't find it, I asked an employee for assistance. She basically told me that they did not carry Pandora Jewelry but sold an identical brand. She then told me she was "too busy" to help me, pointed me over to where the apparently identical rings were, and said that someone would help me soon if I just stood over there. What??? Very unprofessional. So, I stood for a while and looked at the rings (By the way, They were not anything CLOSE to Pandora rings) After about 15 minutes of no help, (complete with employees walking by and saying nothing) I got fed up and left. I drove about a quarter mile up the road to International Diamond Center. I was helped AS SOON as I walked in the door, led to a display case that contained the exact ring that I wanted, and was able to purchase it relatively quickly. Night and day difference between the two stores. Obviously Gold and Diamond source did not value my time nor did they want my money!!! I won't make the mistake of going there again.

I went to many ring stores with my boyfriend to search for the perfect ring and buying experience. I will agree that the entrance of the store feels to have an extreme Fort Knox security type appeal & process to it. However, once you get past that and actually start looking around you will better understand why it is as such. They have some of the most beautiful and rare jewelry I have seen so you do have to be mindful to try not to take it personal when security pounces on you coming in the door. We worked with Tyler who was absolutely a pleasure to work with. He took time to show us as many rings as we wanted to see and made several suggestions that actually led to me finding the ring of my dreams! Tyler did not ask about a budget or make any assumptions he simply listened to my wishes and showed me what I asked for. Once we completed the purchase he explained in detail the paperwork, certificates and warranty information. We wound up making three total purchases and overall we had an excellent experience. We never felt rushed, or pressured in any way, we were offered drinks and treated well by our salesperson.
My husband, Jim, and I consider the Gold and Diamond Source our family jeweler. We ask for Debbie Tiliakos each time we walk in the door. She absolutely treats us like family and we trust her implicitly. She makes us feel as if we are the only customers in the store. Debbie always offers a complimentary cleaning of whatever jewelry we might be wearing. In short, she makes us feel like VIP's. My goodness, Steve and Julie Weintraub have created a culture in which the customer is both appreciated and valued to the highest degree. Love this place! There is no better selection anywhere for beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry. You have to see it to believe it! I am a repeat customer and tell all of my friends about them. Mais and Troy are who I typically work with. Their customer service is incredible. The store has 6-7 jewelers onsite and can do beautiful custom work without paying premium prices. They have loose stones of all shapes and sizes that they bring out to show you how the setting would look. We worked with Mais for my engagement ring, wedding band, and my husband s wedding band. I worked with Troy for earrings and a watch. I had a girlfriend in town from MI that I took there who has been searching jewelry stores all over for an antique looking diamond and sapphire engagement ring. She had almost given up hope. I am so disappointed in this place! Went in to buy a new wedding band set for my husband and I. I told the lady we had a 1400 dollar budget and could not spend a a penny more. The very first ring she showed me was $1400. She did not listen to anything we said, and was only about getting her commission. She asked to see my engagement ring, once she looked at it closely she started to tell me ALL the things wrong with it, making me feel like a complete fool for even wearing it. Once we said that we are going to keep looking she started in on trying to sell us a men's ring, yet time and time again we said we were leaving and she kept pushing stuff on us. Needless to say, despite what their commercials say, this place is only In it for the dollar. Rude and down right disrespectful. I will never go here again! Such a let down!

Loved working with Sue at Gold and Diamond! My fiance designed my engagement ring there and we went back to buy our wedding bands. I didn't love the band I originally chose and Sue was more than happy to help me find a new one that I loved even though it had been over the 30 day return policy.
Went to G & D to buy an engagement ring. I was shown a beautiful diamond and band. When I came back to pick the ring up, the setting looked crooked. I mentioned it to the sales associated, who after inspecting the ring and bringing the jeweler out told me that I should just give it to my girlfriend and see if she notices. I took the ring home, but decided I couldn't give it to my GF in that condition I brought the ring back to the store and a different sales rep apologized and stated that they should of never let me leave the store with the ring in that condition. I left the ring with G &D to have it fixed. When I returned, to my dismay, it was still crooked. I even heard one of the jewelers say, it was slightly crooked. The store manager tried to tell me that he could barely notice the imperfection and that my GF probably wouldn't notice it. Needless to say, I was a bit frustrated and asked for a refund, which the store ablidged. After I asked for a refund the manager quickly stated, "You dont want to give your girlfriend a diamond." The actual diamond was perfect. I wish they would of just taken the time to inspect the ring and make sure it was right before trying to give it to me to propose to my GF. All things considered, I like the store, merchandise.
