Went to G & D to buy an engagement ring. I was shown a beautiful diamond and band. When I came back to pick the ring up, the setting looked crooked. I mentioned it to the sales associated, who after inspecting the ring and bringing the jeweler out told me that I should just give it to my girlfriend and see if she notices. I took the ring home, but decided I couldn't give it to my GF in that condition I brought the ring back to the store and a different sales rep apologized and stated that they should of never let me leave the store with the ring in that condition. I left the ring with G &D to have it fixed. When I returned, to my dismay, it was still crooked. I even heard one of the jewelers say, it was slightly crooked. The store manager tried to tell me that he could barely notice the imperfection and that my GF probably wouldn't notice it. Needless to say, I was a bit frustrated and asked for a refund, which the store ablidged. After I asked for a refund the manager quickly stated, "You dont want to give your girlfriend a diamond." The actual diamond was perfect. I wish they would of just taken the time to inspect the ring and make sure it was right before trying to give it to me to propose to my GF. All things considered, I like the store, merchandise.
