Since moving to Johnson City, I have had all routine oil change services on my Volvo performed at Friendship. They are excellent! The service was quality, fast and friendly! I would highly recommend Friendship in Bristol for all of your car service needs!

During recent extreme cold weather, the message center on my vehicle warned to check the air suspension so instead of going to my usual local mechanic I brought the vehicle to Friendship Ford Service department, I was told there would be a $100.00 diagnostic fee and I was good with that. I received a call from the service department , diagnostics shown I needed a new air suspension compressor because the motor was not working.Repair would be $ 1000,00 I declined repair and ordered a compressor from Advance Auto for $274.00. The twist to all of this is, I paid my diagnostic fee and picked up my vehicle ironically when I started it the air suspension motor came on and everything has been fine now for a little over a week, I have made two trips to Knoxville since and the air suspension motor kicks in as it always did. So, I paid a diagnostic fee that basically was wrong. I took a chance at using Friendship s service department.
After a recent accident that totaled my previous car, I was recommended to check out Friendship Ford Hyundai Volvo of Bristol where I spoke with the saleman Lucais. He was a very friendly car salesman who was completely understanding of my situation and although I was not ready to purchase due to the wait on the insurance claim there is no other dealership around that I would ever think twice about after the excellent service I received. Lucais is a great salesman and I would recommend anyone who has not already visited this dealership to do so. It was very casual and the deals I got offered were phenomenal considering my current situation and I was grateful to have such a memorable experience. I will most definitely return to this dealership anytime I am in the market for a new vehicle because to my experience they are the best.
Our car buying experience with Adam was the best we have ever had. We had contacted him a day or so prior to our arrival in order to give him an idea of what we were looking for in a car. Not only did he deliver all of our requests, he found the perfect car for us at a lesser price than we anticipated. When we are ready to buy again, we will return to Adam and Friendship Ford!
We took our truck in to be serviced and after 3 hours of waiting they still had not looked at our truck and yes we had an appointment. We will never be back we took our truck and left .
Bought a Ford Certified Preowned 2014 F150 there in June. The sales person was nice and the experience was fairly painless. When I got the truck home, I noticed that there were three or four 1/4ish inch holes drilled in the bed of the truck. I called the sales guy back and asked if they had noticed the issue before they sold it to me, and he quickly said that no one there had seen it or they would have told me about them.
I asked the salesman what options we had, and he went back and forth with the used car sales manager for several days before calling me and basically telling me that there was nothing they were willing to do for this. I called the used car sales manager and asked him myself what they could do to ensure the holes would not rust, like a spray in bedliner, and was rudely and immediately told that they would not be doing anything like that. He offered me their 'discount' with a local spray in company, which that company offered me over the phone without me mentioning the dealership or the issues we had discussed.
UPDATE
After reading some of the reviews here, I took a chance and contacted Denny, the general manager of the dealership. After speaking with him and having him look at the bed of my truck, he has agreed to provide me a spray in bedliner at no cost to me, which satisfies my concerns about rust completely. Given this, I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

First off I would like to give five stars for the sales staff namely David Murray. I had a great experience, no pressure sales attitude. I have owned my new 2015 Ford F150 for 7 months and I am very satisfied with it. But then again all I have ever owned are Fords. I have bought all my new Fords form Empire Ford because of great deals friendly people and a very professional service department. Well this time I could not come to terms with Empire Ford on a new truck so I ended up buying from Friendship Ford in Bristol. With this said I figured scene I bought from friendship I would have my truck serviced there also. Well if you noticed I gave one star. I am very displeased and reason 1 is my first oil change was free and all points inspection but was charged for tire rotation. After leaving I checked my tire pressure and they were low. I filled them up to the correct psi of 35lbs no big thing just thought it was a little strange after buying a truck for $30'000 that a tire rotation would be a courtesy thing. Well now we go into the second the 10,000 mile checkup and oil change. I set up an appointment for the works the $39.95 special that cost me $49 and some change but before the service and charge I distinctly asked that the tire pressure be checked when rotation is done. I purposely let 5lbs of air out to see if this would be done and guess what the tires still had 30lbs in each tire. Now I wonder if they even rotated the tires. Well I probably won't be back but I'll be a little ashamed to take my truck to empire with a friendship logo on the back but at least I know what supposed to be done will be done. I hate to think what I pay for might not be getting done and that's the feeling I get with Friendship service department. Also when I take our 2015 focus to empire for the $39.95 works I pay $39.95.

I love the people who work in Friendship Ford Service department but over all I have my 2013 Ford Escape. I was over priced the vehicle looking back at it now and have had nothing but problems since I have bought it. It is constantly having to be worked on. I will never own another ford again.

Friendship is an amazing dealership! They don't jack up their prices like a lot of other dealerships with this fee and that fee and another fee. What you see on the window sticker is what you pay. We bought a 2013 Explorer Sport from them and now this 2016 Focus RS. Ford kind of dropped the ball on the RS delivery date vs. the order in which the orders were taken BUT Friendship and James Moffitt specifically did an outstanding job keeping me informed as I waited 11 long months for this little rocket to show up. I WILL be buying my next Ford from Friendship! Outstanding dealership and service!!!

Overall, my experience with Friendship Ford was a positive one. I called ahead concerning a vehicle I saw online, and the salesman was upfront with me about it being in the shop and suggested another vehicle (same model) that they had on the lot. When arriving there, the salesman had two vehicles of the same model to look at, and I'm glad he did since the one I had planned to look at was really in rough shape on the inside. The other one was a one-owner locally owned and, even though it had more mileage, was in much better shape. Overall, the pricing of the vehicle was fair and the salesman was great. My issue was with the financing of the vehicle. My credit score (and my spouse's) was excellent. I was already informed previously that they had 32 lenders to choose from. With top tier credit scores, they financed at 6.5%. When I informed them I can go to a local credit union with our credit scores and get 3.88%, they said "Well, wait 3 months for the paperwork to go through, and then you can do that." They didn't offer to try anyone else or seem interested in getting us the best APR. If not for that, I would have given them 5 stars. I definitely will be refinancing through our local credit union! All in all, though, I am very pleased with the vehicle and felt the salesman was great with us which is worth the 4 stars.
There is a problem with the Ford Focus transmission. I have 40,000 miles and have had it rebuilt twice.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am traveling from out of town when my car unexpectedly broke down on Monday evening. I had my car towed to the dealership and called first thing Tuesday morning. The car had apparently been left at the wrong location and after multiple calls to the tow company & dealership it was located at the Dodge dealership, a few buildings away. It is now Thursday and they don t expect to get my car done until end of day Friday. I have been stranded here in Bristol since Monday night and will be here for at least another 24-48 hrs. The only actually helpful person I ve spoken to was Jimmy today who finally gave me answers and a realistic timeline. At this point, had someone actually been helpful and direct with me, I could have rented a car and taken my belongings out of the car and been home for the last 2 days. Instead I ve been here, paying for a hotel and just waiting for them to call me. I try calling and they are always busy helping other customers so I leave a message. If I don t call them, I would have no idea about what is happening because they can t be bothered to contact me with any updates. Good luck to anyone who isn t a local/regular customer getting any help. If you breakdown in Bristol, expect that you ll be trapped here for at least 4-5 days because they won t even look at the car until it s been there for at least a day. Then take an entire day to diagnose the issue then minimum of 2 days to fix it. I hope they treat the regular customers better, but I guess because my options are limited they fe el that it s ok to treat a loyal Ford customer this poorly.

I had an emergency repair done here at Friendship Ford. They were straight forward and helpful with me. I was in a position that I didn't have much choice on where to go but they didn't take advantage of my situation. I would recommend them for repairs and service of your vehicle.
Polite staff & always excellent, speedy service. Sometimes a li'l dirty spot or two accidentally left by the mechanics, but service desk is always willing to have the spots removed and have even offered to have car detailed.
The buying experience was spuratic. The salesman was very busy running between 2 other customers and allot of information was left out and lost in the run around. The $798 charge for First Place Car Care is a rip-off and was an unknown until after the sale. I was asked to sign papers committing to buy before I even discussed a final sale price of the vehicle I wanted to buy. If I want set on buying this one particular vehicle for my daughter I would of got up and walked out half way through.

So far, terrible. My daughter purchased her first vehicle here Friday. We drove in from North Carolina to purchase the truck. They would not fill her gas tank based on "used car policies", but did manage to put a couple of dollars more in the tank before she left. Her windshield wipers broke apart on her drive home (she made it back and her dad purchased new ones). I had to try several times to get it to crank Sunday morning, then this morning (Monday), it will not turn over, she was late to work. Called and am going to trouble shoot it myself and call them back. The automatic response is "she might have left her lights on", or is it just a continuation of poor service and customer care? The salesman was very courteous, his support team seems young and aloof, we will see how this turns out and hopefully my next review will be able to be better. I have never written a review before but I am very sad that in my hometown, as a retired military family, my girls are seeing this as an example.

I had service to my Volvo XC90 at Friendship Volvo recently. The Service Department checked the sensor that was causing the issue, fixed the problem and checked an additional issue that I had not mentioned when I had scheduled the appointment. They had me back on the road in no time. The Service Department employees are always polite and friendly, and attentive to questions.

Shortly after leaving from a routine oil change my SUV overheated. I was on the side of the road in a storm, Frankie Allen in Ford service called a wrecker for me, had a loaner car delivered to me roadside, kept in constant contact with news on my needed repair. He was so helpful and courteous throughout my service, I cannot compliment his professionalism and my overall service experience enough. Noteworthy is that I did not purchase my vehicle from Friendship of Bristol, nor is it a newer model. I do have an extended Ford warranty, and Frankie handled everything with the covered repair directly with Ford - I didn't even have to make a phone call to them myself. I was highly impressed with the dealership overall, and will continue to do business with Friendship Ford of Bristol.

Well, our MKT has been at Ford MANY times since November. They seem to have a serious issue with diagnostics. It takes weeks to properly identify an issue and then they bandaid it to fix it at first. My car was just returned again, and they had it three weeks this time, to replace a hose. I complained thr last time Ford had it, that there were boot marks all over my door panel and greasy fi fingerprints all over my ignition button and was told it would be handled this time. It was returned even dirtier and the same issues not cleaned. Learn to open a door and not kick it open with your feet! And clean up the dirt off your feet. Worst experience with Ford, ever. They never CALL US to try to make this right either.
Terrible the works package was 49.95 and then the service rep told my 65 year old wife that the coolant system needed a flush which was 180.95 and then told her rear toe was out 99.95 so the oil change cost me 345.63

Had an awful experience here. Customer service is awful. After you buy they won't help you with anything with any problems. Would NOT recommend buying any vehicle new or used with them. Horrible horrible dealership.
& Yes I spoke to the staff about some of the problems I had after buying my car and they are still yet to return my call after they told me they would call me back. I've never been treated so poorly as to what I was treated there I will never be back and will never refer anyone else there. That's the 2nd vehicle we have purchased off of them and would have probably went back if we would have been treated fairly but not now they have lost my family as customers.

While Friendship Ford is nearly a 2 hour drive from home, they have an excellent website that's not polluted with annoying pop-ups and aggravating gimmicky features and misleading numbers or photos. After having settled on a specific truck model and shopping at my local Ford dealers, I spend 10 minutes viewing the inventory online for Friendship Ford and immediately identified i'd save thousands of dollars by giving them an opportunity to earn my business. I gave them a call to outline what I was looking for, to discuss details and explain my expectations of a new purchase and trading in my vehicle. Wonderful service via phone, Friendship's staff was quickly able to gather information from me and give me a rough trade in value on my vehicle. Their staff gave me all the numbers and pricing breakdown, coupled with helpful rebate information and disclosed how they do business. In very little time, I was able to immediately identify that I needed to make the drive to Bristol. When I arrived to their dealership I was approached by my salesman, Anthony Campbell, who was a breath of fresh air and easy to communicate with. No nonsense, no pushy sales tactics and no games. They immediately earned my business as we walked across their huge, state of the art dealership campus. I was able to drive, review and discuss the truck I came from Asheville to see and hopefully purchase. In less than 5 minutes time, their team reviewed my trade in and we quickly came to an agreement on what it was worth. In less than 30 minutes time from arriving on site, we were ready to facility the deal. Before executing the deal, their sales manager came to talk with me to ensure I was pleased with the truck I was buying and to offer me the exact same discount on any of their remaining 2019 Rangers. I pumped the brakes and quickly settled on an even higher trimmed out Lariat model that was exactly to my liking. Their inventory is so strong that this allowed me to compare similar models in varying trim levels, side by side. All this to say, their routine practices allowed me to do all my diligence and make a 'no-brainer' decision in comparison to trucks I had picked out at other small dealerships back home. I'd have been a fool to not purchase my truck here. As a consumer, I do enjoy keeping my money local, in my town and establishing a relationship with my service department. But, my hometown dealer could not have been any different than Friendship Ford and did nothing to earn my business. Friendship Ford also offers a free, lifetime powertrain warranty which basically covers anything that has fluids, for the life of the vehicle so long as I own it. All together, everything they offer their customers was more than enough for me to make my final decision. Anthony was excellent at his job, and a pleasure to work with. I suspect so long as I drive a Ford product, they'll all be purchased at Friendship Ford in Bristol.
Nothing but bad service. Had several issues when picking up my car. They did not do all the work I requested. Did not do the recall work they said they would do. And the staff had no clue how to do their paperwork. I guess them a 2nd chance to do the work, they did the recall work but still didn't fix my latch. Will NEVER go to Friendship Ford again.
