Madrid in its purest form. It maintains a good part of its essence, despite the fact that it has become a tourist attraction.
Madrid in its purest form. It maintains a good part of its essence, despite the fact that it has become a tourist attraction.
There are so many people ...
I really need to be careful with pickpockets ...
There are a lot of cheap leather goods and there are many pretty things when I go around.
To get cheap things it is better not to buy at the stalls that are just entering, you have to go to those who are more involved than usually have the same at a better price. It is a great market, what is not on the trail is because it does not exist. Pick up after 2.
The trail is huge they have everything my cousin would love it is very large and the atmosphere I liked is very familiar and the union between them is great.
Very nice many things although some prices are high
I like it a lot and I always find something to buy !!!
The Trail is something very traditional of the city and with a certain charm. You can find very curious, old and valuable objects at a low price, but what there is more is, above all, trifles.
A lot of pickpocket and undesirable people.
Largest market of it's kind in Europe. Wear good shoes; the streets are very hilly. Great variety of products, good music. Get your breakfast or lunch in the businesses along the streets. Set aside a lot of time; it really is a big market.
A great way to spend a Sunday! Keep your wallet zipped into your jacket, though! It's crowded there!
We were going to Madrid, because of the Rastro. This time, there were 4 couples. Sunday, 6/9 was closed again and it seems to drop for 2 and a half months. WE WILL NOT RETURN TO MADRID UNTIL THE RADTRO DOES OPEN. THAT'S RIGHT.
Everything is still without atmosphere due to the Covid, but it has so much history and so much to see and savor that you have to take a walk from time to time to enjoy it
If you are in Madrid and it is Sunday morning, it is almost a must.
Lots of shopping stalls, specialized stores and some things that you will only find in El Rastro.
From 1 euro to ..... the ones you want to spend.
From a pin to a saddle.
Very good atmosphere.
With very picturesque nearby bars to eat and drink well.
Highly recommended
A curious place to see and walk among the stalls.
You see everything a little but mainly clothes.
Of the stores of used things, like books, discs or clothes, they are very few but always is something curious or different.
A must in Madrid. Don't miss it on Sundays and public holidays till 3 pm.
Big market. Loads of goodies. But nothing toospecial
As always it is different from all wonderful worthy to take a spin and take some tapas
Really interesting market with a big variety of goods at reasonable prices.
Incredible fair with a great diversity of items and low prices. Worth the visit!
A spectacular place to buy, you get everything at solidarity prices. It is a fairly wide and quite large popular street market. It is still an experience to visit this market
Typically Madrid, it's worth browsing their stalls even if you don't want to buy anything
I thought it was a small flea market, but it was huge. It is longer than big. There are various things and the prices seem to be cheap. But there are too many people, so beware of pickpockets!
is the most popular open air flea market in Madrid (Spain).
Sun & holidays 9:00-15:00 h.
An ideal place to walk and enjoy a Madrid Sunday morning
The biggest flee market in Europe. You could find there anything you want...
Very interesting fair in Madrid. Only the first Sundays of the month. Clothes, books, antiques, etc. To visit. You can go by subway.
Amazing market, very Spanish, check out the ring stalls!
Very nice place to buy everything and very typical of the city not to miss a great place
It's trail is one of the most famous and interesting tourist stops in Madrid, because here we can see a part of the different tastes and traditions. We can find from typical costumes, puppets, necklaces to old lamps etc ...
It is really a very fun place to spend a Sunday morning, it is also worth mentioning that it is very close to the door of Toledo.
The merchandise is repetitive but it is a very nice place to spend some Sunday morning. Especially to eat.
Impressive, you don't have time to see everything. There are streets and streets of stalls and open stands. Highly recommended if you like to look for strange things or even bargains
Giant flea market that has all kinds of things, is entertaining.
Nice flea market. Crowded but some cheap offers. Don't forget to negotiate.
The new version of the Rastro, makes you lose your essence
Sunday market in Madrid
Very crowded with people
The offered merchandise is cheap and of low quality
Most sellers do not accept bank cards. You need to spend money before you come to the market
You may find what works for you and what you are looking for
Not one of the places to visit when you visit Madrid
I have been going 50 years every day less because each way is more like a neighborhood market has nothing unless you go into the old area but the rest is a neighborhood market or a Chinese store costs I will go every day less besides that the Madrid City Council has made it very difficult to go
not really much variety, more new cheap things than real flea market with old stuff
M Tirso de Molina line 1. Comfortable to reach and useful for appreciating a neighborhood that has now become definitively gentrified. Unfortunately, the market has lost all its charm and resembles any Porta Portese anywhere in the world. Good opportunities for vinyl and for some rare pieces of modern antiques.
It has a wide variety of products and at a very good price and there are also shops around in the rare case that you do not find what you are looking for
A great market with lots of variety. You can easily spend a couple of hours browsing the market and a we got lots of souvenirs at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit, even just for the atmosphere.
Flea market that is hardly flea. Dozens of new and used clothing booths, jewelry, handbags, accessories, loads of merchandise from India including bed covers, scarves, hoops. No furniture. Hardly objects second-hand. Everything is organized, organized and cheap.
Simply phenomenal You have to go through it and be surprised with what you can find looking and without searching, between the crowds of the crowd that goes on Sundays
El Rastro isn t just a tourist sight, nor is it just a street market. It s also not just a historic collection of antique stalls with ancient gitano origins: it s a 400-year-old community of quirky characters from all over the world, who live, eat and breathe El Rastro.
Very good walk to do on Sundays. With family or with friends. Always with a lot of people. It's like the "Pandora's box". The most unsuspected or unexpected can be found here. Good prices. I recommend for those who do not know him, to go next Sunday.
Sunday is Rastro. I suggest not to stop in the main squares but to get lost in the tiny streets. My fave is Calle Santa ana
It finally opens, there are good offers ... but it is not like before
I love that place because of the diversity of people and products
Super packed...if you aren't too stressed out with masses ofof people it can be interesting to fish out a bargain here or there..
A must visit place in Madrid,
Original and interesting booths,
Huge area,
warmly recommended.
Very good place to buy all second-hand or antique clothing and decorative objects
I ate pastor tacos I liked this nice variety of food we can find delicious food and good friends
The Madrid Trail is something absolutely authentic that should be protected as a cultural heritage. Wonderful atavistic hustle and bustle.
Interesting but most is like a large flea market at a carnival than antiques.
Oh! He passed me on Sundays walking through it, I love it, it has the spell of a lifetime. Tourists should not miss it.
Excellent opportunities in some fixed stores right now.
One of the largest flea markets in Madrid. Good to walk around, have a look to ramdon stuff and enjoy a drink in one of the bars near by. Totally recommendable for locals and tourists.
The place to be Sunday morning in Madrid. Buskers, gypsies selling bargains, mimes, antiques, vintage decoration... Plus there are many good (some after them a bit rundown) bars to have a quick bite to keep you going.
What an amazing place to be, lots and lots of small shops, the market is full of things to buy, this colorful area has many items to offer, from clothes to antiques, posters and jewelry. Come early in the morning.
I was surprised by the extension of the Fair, the large number of posts and visitors. Excellent merchandise and very good prices.
Large number of very diverse positions recommended place to spend a Sunday morning in Madrid
We do not understand why the Rastro will not be installed again, a viable way could be organized. The shops are open and there is a lot of variety.
Soooo much fun! It was so huge we couldn t finish looking at all the vendors. Great way to soend a Sunday morning.
Not really a flea market as there are only professional antiques dealers.
Long stretch of clothes and tourist stalls busy on Sunday. Some interesting vintage and antique stalls. Not great for fashionable clothing. Can be crowded
Anything you could think of but be prepared to move very slowly through the crowd. The number of people here was crazy. Granted I was right before New year's but still, mucho loco
How fair is great. It has everything. We went early and you could walk in peace. But it was clear that he would not be able to walk.
I didn't buy anything. The idea was souvenirs but for the part I walked I did not find anything different or at a better price than in some places.
One of the amazing flea market I visited in my life.
