I was not particularly impressed by El Rastro as most of the hundreds of stands sold the same modern, mass-produced stuff you would find in any low-priced shop in Madrid. The few stands actually selling used or unusual things were neat, but they were few and far between.

Who does not know the Madrid trail does not know Madrid any Sunday of the year you just have to have a good shoe some money in your pocket appetite to eat a sandwich of reddish insides calamari snails potato omelette or any of the typical products of Madrid and at the same time to be able to enjoy the authentic sellers of the trail with all its infinite counter of articles and trinkets that have been collecting from the streets Juani I will see giving of all the citizens who are leaving them wanting to leave in the memory and who make it a unique and unrepeatable place.
The best experience here in Madrid! There are antiques, clothes, crafts. And many more things. If you come, you will definitely fall in love with something
It's nice but is overrated. There are mostly commercial vendors on the main street, not private ones. These are only in the side street. A lot to overload.
National benchmark for the sale of "impossible" on Sundays in Madrid
That's right, in this outdoor market you can find everything imaginable. Many of their stalls have a physical store there.
If you like to see a lot of people this is your place; now as you don't like crowds it is also the best place to do in situ therapy to be in contact with crowds.
Around 15:30 the vast majority of stalls have already picked up the merchandise and until next Sunday.
Beware of the friends of the strangers that have always had easy prey there; it's just a little bit of caution.
The trail is an open-air market, celebrated on Sundays and holidays every month. In the historic center of Madrid, in the Latina neighborhood. There is a lively atmosphere, where you can find ancient gadgets to everyday objects. That would be Madrid without its trace.
This is the biggest trap ever! Heaving busy even in October, not for the easily upset as you'll get bumped around a bit, lots of tat bit some nice bits.
If you come to Madrid for the first time you can not stop going to the Rastro. It is one of the places that brings together the essence of the capital. The atmosphere of the Rastro gives a very appropriate idea of what Madrid should have been throughout its history.
Do yourself the favor of avoiding the Main Street that is entirely garbage from eBay/Amazon. Nothing worth your time unless your fond of losing money.
The side streets can have some gems but as with any flea market that has a large clientele, there s little in the form of haggling and everything is the right price.
An absolute gem of a place! There's so much to see here & buy too. You can purchase things for cheap here for sure. There's a really nice & calm vibe as well. A must visit place for tourists!
Ancient flea market. You have to turn it around well to discover the stalls with authentic pieces and antique shops of all levels. The prices are all negotiable. Open only on Sundays, dozens of antique shops and old shops are open during the week. Recommended arrival around 9am (opening hours).
Keep preserving, despite Ribera de Curtidores, recesses, streets not so crowded with covachuelas, redoubts, stalls on street tables, and on the same sidewalks and floors, full of magicians capable of pouring into your eyes all the memories of a childhood, the unexposed desires, the temptations to which you never knew or wanted to succumb, the spontaneous encounter of the most crazy crush.Recommendable not, indispensable, is a traditional mix with a zocodover, or a Persian market, and in the ancient heart of our most faithful Love, Madrid, insatiable and generous collector of hearts, leaving a story, and exposed as is, in the most popular of its roots, every weekend, holiday and Wednesday in the Plaza del Campillo Nuevo. I renew my betrothal with this city on a daily basis, and proudly and gypsy on Sundays in El Rastro.
Trail - waw, I love it. For those looking for old things, it deserves to go there. Every Sunday in Madrid capital. And about 5 minutes away is the main square with everything for collecting. A ten
A huge market selling everything that you can imagine. The market had a lot of beautiful old antiquities.many of the antique shops on the streets will set up stalls outside there shops showing off some excellent pieces. I arrived at around 11am and it was getting very busy. I would suggest getting in early to avoid the crowds. You Could easily spend a few hours wondering about looking at everything. There are some hidden alleys which open up to amazing courtyards full of antique shops. Keep your eyes open.
But today, March 15, is the Rastro open? Are you exempt from complying with the provisions of the RD by which the Alarm State is in force? Update the page.
