An emblematic place of Madrid a must see on Sundays. There are usually a lot of people so it is better to go as with small bags that are easier to control and get carried away by people, the stalls, the hustle and bustle. Around the Trail there are bars and restaurants where you can taste a good cane or vermouth with a lid that is so typical of our city

I absolutely love El Rastro I go every Sunday faithfully. They sell everything that you could possibly imagine for reasonable prices. It is a great place to get little amenities or pick up gifts for the family. I would recommend this place but I would say definitely get there early because it feels up very quickly.

What can I say about El Rastro, an entire institution and a place to go in Madrid. Personally I love it and I always find interesting things (last time a wonderful painting). Yes, I recommend going soon and have patience.

A good place to get your Sunday morning exercise. This market is huge. Everywhere you turn there is more to see. Most of the clothing sold are made in India or used, except for t-shirts. You can also find jeans and Jean jackets which seems to be the fashion in Madrid. There is also an abundance of silver jewelry for sale. The shops and restaurants along the avenues are also open.

We are in a difficult moment, for one of the great emblems of the widow of Madrid.
El Rastro, a magical place on Sundays, within the culture of this great city, an unavoidable appointment, for all kinds of people, cultures, or lifestyles, a place where we all have a place and that spends its worst moments of life. history since the typical and traditional stalls throughout the history of the city are not there, they are not allowed to continue with their work and have been replaced by the expansion of the terraces of the bars, something for me incomprehensible and that leaves aside an international tourist claim.
There are many terraces of bars and everywhere, the most famous trace of Madrid is that of La Latina, unique and inescapable that should not disappear

Very famous Sunday market in Madrid which takes place in the La Latina district. You can find many products at low prices, if you want to buy souvenirs this is the right place. The only flaw too much confusion, pay attention to the bags.

It is one of the places that I love and more when friends come to visit and want to know places in Madrid because "El Rastro" is the voice, they can find objects from curiosities, antiques, movies, among others, and there are bars nearby to have a few beers

What can I say ... You have not visited Madrid without going to this meeting point where you can find the most curious things you can imagine. Do you need a gift? Do you want a new plan? Do you want to get out of the routine? ... The Madrid Trail is a wonderful world and is surrounded by bars with spectacular tapas to end the day.

A special place, singular. Take a walk on a Sunday and see the human diversity. Going through, or living in Madrid, obliges you to come here without anyone's permission (to live, period).

The truth is that we went on a Sunday we waited for a half hour queue and there was practically no more variety than what you can find in Verdecora or other chains. I hope next year they will increase the stock ..

This is a tatty market full.of rubbish and stalls all selling the same thing. I like markets but definitely wouldn't go again
There are one or two stalls that are interesting but that's all and it's a big market
There's a square with loads of antique shops on your left as you go down the hill which has somt interest if you like antique shops but they open later in.the morning and I thought they were overpriced.

This is a great place for shopping if you are looking for a present of any kind because you can find anything : from antiques to modern and from heavy metal clothing to vegan leather or pet friendly products... everything :)
I m giving 4 stars because it s definitely not a place for everyone and if it s your first time in Spain you might indeed feel it s too crowded and noisy ... but if you love Spain like I do then you understand a bit more about the local culture and way of life and this is your kind of place:)

One of the most beautiful markets in Europe, it is gigantic and each part is divided with stalls of the same type, you will find a bit of everything, with objects and souvenirs such as fans, paella pots, saucer for stage, but also ancient coins, drawings, paintings. It is one of the most appreciated things in Madrid and it is one of the things not to be missed !!!!

To see how to explain it, they sell it as a traditional flea market and it is nothing more than a fair of sales of varied items and nothing special. It is a world of people and that gives it a special condition.

Must visit if you are in Madrid on a Sunday or holiday. You can find clothes, accessories, art, home decor, antiques ... A little of everything.
Take the opportunity to have tapas and a vermouth in the many bars in the area.

The trail is very typical and traditional in Madrid and outdoors is very authentic. It is interesting if you are in Madrid to go on Sundays or holidays in the morning. This very crowded of people, but interesting to see varied positions of a rake type. Their positions are varied, you can find from a belt, a t-shirt or some jewelery earrings.
The bars that are around also have many people, to have a drink and some tapas.

Incredible the one of people who can transit through those streets on Sunday. Many businesses, good atmosphere and streets full of life near the bars where you can get in and take some good canes to refresh the ride because the route is very, very long.
