A must in Madrid. Madrid people like to go from time to time although we almost always see the same things. Impossible to go home empty handed. Make "stop and fonda" in some of the classic bars that we found during the tour, also necessary.

Everyone thinks of El Rastro and associates it with Sundays. But during the week it still exists, with a large number of establishments that you can visit calmly (in these times of pandemic to take into account) and find that piece of furniture, object ... that you are looking for so much and that good professionals will advise you.

Market that transforms the south of the central almond on Sundays. From Tirso de Molina to Ambassadors the streets are filled with stalls, street vendors and pedestrians willing to enjoy Sunday morning. Also some overnight. The plan closes tapas for La Latina. From the top 5 of Madrid.

Must see for any fans of flea markets. They have everything, including cooking supplies, clothing, toys, souvenirs, and much much more. The prices are obviously very reasonable, and even if you don't buy anything it's worth it to just walk around and appreciate the liveliness of the market. Make sure to get some water though, the Madrid sun can be very unforgiving!

Throughout my life I have never seen such a large market, it is immense. You can find everything. Watch out for the bags and backpacks, a Spanish lady advised me to wear the backpack in front and not behind. If you are in Madrid, let us jump, it's really worth it.

El Rastro de Madrid (or simply El Rastro) is an open-air market, originally of second-hand objects, which is assembled every Sunday and holiday mornings in a traditional neighborhood of the historic center of the capital of Spain.

El Rastro, with more than a quarter of a millennium of existence, has been regulating its existence and commercial activity. His fame is international.

It owes its name to the fact that the city's cattle slaughterhouses were there and, since it was in Cuesta la Ribera de Curtidores, the blood rolled down the street, leaving a "trail". Nowadays the slaughterhouses and tanners have been replaced by antique shops (one, two and three what you do not want, for the "Rastro" is)

El Rastro is an emblematic place in Madrid. Unfortunately the municipal leaders do not allow its opening despite being an open-air place where fewer infections occur and the generous offer of the vendors

Huge huge huge market - on Sundays - with clothing, antiques, and everything in between. I spent about an hour walking around and then had to leave, but you can easily spend half a day there between the stands...

As a tourist experience this is a must see if you're in Madrid over the weekend. For the most part the goods on offer aren't very appealing - knock off Real Madrid kit etc - but there are some pockets of interesting antiques and vintage fashion. What you're really coming here to see is the sheer scale of the market and the crowd.

The largest flea market in Spain. It only works on Sundays. It is very interesting to walk along the numerous streets of this market. And here not only tourists, but also local residents.

Classic in the classic of Madrid, every Sunday open the stalls of this market in Madrid, formerly it was for second-hand things and antiques. Now it is more a market selling clothes and souvenirs, with stalls of all ethnic groups living in the capital, still have to shop around.

A must see for those visiting Madrid on a Sunday! Opens early and fills quickly. Perfect to pick up all sorts of souvenirs for yourself and loved ones. Particularly, there are many vendors selling near-authentic futbol jerseys at much lower prices than at venues such as the Bernabeu. Not only is El Rastro massive, but it also conveniently located near other central landmarks and is therefore perfect to include when exploring the heart of the city.

Apart from the fact that I was born there in the Rastro de Madrid, on Ribera de Curtidores street, it has a lot of costs, but the stalls with so many things are very curious, my mother always bought me something more beautiful souvenirs.

Beautiful flea market in open sky. The long avenue and especially for tourists and all souvenir items or trend. But the parallel streets are full of treasures. A huge flea market and nothing to discover if you do not know yet. Thank you to all the traders who support this weekly market.

Absolutely not to be missed for any tourist who is in Madrid on a Sunday morning. You can find everything and above all many non-trivial objects that are difficult to find elsewhere. We do business at generally low prices which in some cases become negligible.

If you come from tourism to Madrid you must visit it as an experience, in the market you can find curiosities to useful things.

Caution should be exercised with wallets and mobiles. If you go around 11am there are too many people but if you go past noon it is a bit quieter and some things go down in price.

Towards the right side there are some expensive antiques but it is worth checking out which curious object may interest you.

Go well and see, do not expect an air-conditioned mall.

Very interesting place, although it comes alive during the market on Sunday, and so sleepily. I had the best coffee there in Spain, in a local cafe. We also watched various types of sculptures, fountains, garden mele and lots of other interesting "antiques".
