Everyone like to think they might find an unrecognised masterpiece lurking among the tat, but in reality it is all just tat, just like at any other flea market or car-boot sale. And because it is crowded, it is not a pleasurable, relaxing, experience.
A bustling busy market which is open on Sundays between 09:00 and 15:00. Instead of a lot of vintage stands and hand stands, such as bags, savings boxes, wallets, shirts and clothes. Due to the hard place load stay there for a long time. Definitely a place to see in Madrid.

There's two sides to this, there's a commercial part of the market that's selling a bunch of stuff you'll see in markets all over Europe. Then there's the side streets where you really find some amazing vintage clothes and furniture. Depending on which you're after, rastra is an amazing place to visit.

Extremely crowded, low quality products in general. Huge and crowded. Nothing to offer more than that.
The prices were GREAT... selection was fantastic. Highly recommend going early... it takes the day to browse.
It is picturesque, there is music, food and hundreds and hundreds of stalls that all sell similar things. The biggest problem is that there are thousands and thousands of people moving erratically everywhere, so one takes hours just trying to do 50 meters. I recommend going around the periphery that you can walk and go see the posts to see if there is something interesting, there if you go to get into the sea of people with a goal, if you are not going to have a bad time.

We passed this market and did not find stalls and street vendors and reminded us that it was open on Sundays of every week.
I especially like the most traditional part where they sell antiques. A Sunday strolling along the trail and having a well-drawn beer is still one of the privileges not to be missed.

Today it has nothing to do with what it was before, where you could buy everything at very cheap prices, now the prices are higher and there is less variety, but it is still an essential place to visit, also the stationary shops, bars and restaurants that there are in all its streets, they are very worth it,

Discreet variety, although many benches sell all the same shit. I loved the most used books and some of carpets at very cheap prices. At the level of old things I found nothing real or unique, if not many imitations that wanted to happen for old and at an expensive price. The 5 stars are for the respect of the ancient and true trail, not all the shit that is sold now.
This market is truly a Market. Big, cheap and nice to walk through, though from some poing it starts to repeat itself. Its best to come in the early hours, to avoid the crowded hours

Overrated I feel. This is highly recommended by some tour guides but I didn t enjoy it. Very loud and busy, didn t see much spanish stuff, just random souvenirs you can get from other places.

If you visit Madrid and you have the opportunity, it is worth visiting. There are thousands of jobs of all types. Do not forget to visit the part of the restored furniture, it was my favorite part !!!

The trail is a Madrilenian classic. Taking a walk through the streets that occupy it on a Sunday at noon is an experience that all tourists and locals enjoy. You can buy souvenirs, antiques or trinkets ..... there is something for everyone. It is best to take a very cool rod accompanied by a lid. MY RECOMMENDATION and it seems obvious THE BACKPACK always ahead and the belongings guarded, unfortunately there is always turning a friend of the alien. But calm it is very safe, the thefts are not violent, it is not more nor you find out. Paying due attention is a beautiful walk.
Very large public market usual items in multiple stalls crowded mainly junk disappointed no food stalls would have liked that probably worth exploring the shops on non market day. Like all similar stuff around the world :-).

HUGE market. It's good to visit if you are a tourist for a day, but the stalls all sell the same things. I can't imagine coming here twice. It was so crowded that we couldn't really move.
