Very bad experience and rude staff . They are not helpful at all. Infact everyone are busy on mobile especially Male staff does nothing. Only big talks and checkin counter and baggage checking are the big headache. Worst service. Was in business class . I was carrying 50kg luggage. Asked for help for noone stood up. All busy talking to each other. Or sitting on chair and looking at you. Why people travel Kolkata in business class . Better economy. Haha

Kolkata airport has improved a lot from my last visit. It has became bigger and better for all of us to use. Amenities are world class and lots of international flights.
It caters for almost all the travellers of Bengal with much ease.
Best airport... Very neat and clean, well maintained... Ample sitting arrangement... Drinking water available everywhere.. staffs are very supportive.. display boards everywhere.. bags arrive on belt in time..
Good building. The goodness stops there. Rude staff at every place; starting from the outside security, staff at baggage x-ray, check-in and particularly the inside security and sand bag screening. They are the worst. This airport should learn from other better managed airports.

The one and only International and Domestic Airport of Kolkata. Lots of space, Gorgeous in aesthetic view and with so many features it's a marvelous place.
The airport is located a bit far from the city centre. But the airport is well connected with public transportation. Airport metro is yet to be started. With airport lines commuting to and fro the airport will be really fast. Apart from that, the inside decoration of the airport is great, specially the roof facade. It really expresses a lot about the locality. The airport is not very big, so is a bit crowded all the times.
Nice airport with adequate information system. You can expect almost all right time of departure from this airport. Airport is fully maintained and you can find the cleanliness inside. Security personnel(CISF) and other staff are empathetic and friendly. You can find Ola cab and public transportation (AC Bus) facilities within its premises.
Airport was clean, all Covid related protocols were enforced. Staff was helpful and cooperative. Airport has all kind of branded shops available. This is one big airport where 2-3 hours can be spent very easily. Overall a wonderful experience being there.
The gateway to eastern India. Huge (actually too big for the amount of crowd it gets) decent clean beautiful airport. Has multiple aerobridges and hence no need to board buses. Never too crowded and loads of sitting options. Has multiple food outlets. The arrival is bit deserted.
Dormitory facility is available at Kolkata Airport. Need to approach the Airport Manager for details. His office is near Gate 3A in the arrival area, Ground Floor, of Domestic Terminal. It is a good option for those who needs a layover to catch a connecting flight from the Airport.

Finding taxi after departure is very tough for app based customers.The taxis always make a huge Jam outside departure gates .This may be monitored properly.
After renovation the airport becomes awesome with almost everything that one can need in an international level airport, amazing. Except for the long queues at Security Check Point, the new terminal is good. Request to Security Personnel to please open all of security and scanning machine and give people a good experience and save all our time. Blue the airport has very good options in terms of shopping and food. Duty free is good too. Signage is proper and the story is very tidy. Recommended
Clean space, stuff not so professional, I. My last trip I forgot a package in waiting area in front of boarding gate and reached to Airbus then I remembered but they didn't co operate to get back that package even though enough time to take off, they don't helped me to go back and check for the package. This kind of unprofessional behavior happens multiple points of the airport.

Sign boards are minimum, not placed at appropriate locations, difficult to follow the path. Signage for flight details such as barding gate, flight number and destinations are also minimum and not placed at appropriate locations especially the departure lounge, security area, etc. No internal arrangement for domestic transfer. Thus, still a clumsy airport although quite spacious, lighted, clean and with shopping area!
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international Airport, Kolkata is a good airport with almost all facilities that a modern airport requires, but there are few points, why we have to take off our jackets belts shoes etc to go through security checks , when the airport is collecting so much of taxes from each passenger via each air tickets sold by all the airlines, why can't they install whole body scanners which takes very less time and are more accurate reducing load on CISF personals, we are moving ahead in technology and our infrastructure should set benchmarks for others , I can understand such scanners are expensive but if you calculate the cost of person involved manually doing the entire process I guess the cost will be even more higher and time consuming, frustrating for the officials and the passengers too, we understand we cannot depend upon the technology 100% and human intervention is always required in such matters but looking at the Cobid 19 and traffic that this airport handles I think it will be practical.
Good airport accessible to cars, parking fee is applicable in minute basis, the security check-in is always long, the staffs here are helpful, some restrooms are not clean near Gate 2, but in general cleanliness is maintained. Mosquitoes are common in the ground floor where Gates 101 and above numbers are present, early morning you can sometimes see birds inside the domestic airport
One of the best airports I have been to. Friendly staff. Neat and clean place. There are many places where you can take a nap if your flight is delayed. Free Wi-Fi (nobody cares about this now). Very good places where you can have your food.
Very good neat and clean but at exit section on bay 1 at night so many mosquito. Kindly do something for it it's Very difficult to stand and Waite vehicle.
I love it. This is airport which I have seen first time in my life. So obviously, it's memorable for me. It's the actually start for the childhood day's lesson: "To see the unseen and ti know the unknown is the inherent of the human being. And this curiosity leads man from one place to another" I reached 4 hour before my departure time. Then, I entered inside before one hour. Then I finished all the checking. After that waiting for half an hour and then noticed that, the gate number for the flight to Mumbai had been changed. Then, took flight for the first time. I was talking to my mother over phone, untill the network gone. It was a mixed feelings for me. I was excited for taking the flight for first time and felt bad for my parents. Because, not only me but also they started their life without me. However, I really can't forget the moment.
One of the best airport I have been. Here people can go every corner of the world. Cleaner, safer and secure places everywhere. People can enjoy the brisk and presence of mordern stores and eating stores inside to have a comfortable stay.
I visited the airport almost after a year. It was sad to see the the usual hustle & bustle missing. Many unused aircrafts parked on the tarmac. I hope and pray that covid is brought under control and normalcy returns.

One of the best international airport in India. It operates domestic and international flights daily. Traffic in Kolkata airport is not as busy as Mumbai or Delhi. Services provided here could be improved. However overall it's all good here.
I reside in Bangalore.So, if I compare both cities airports Bangalore's airport is far more organised in every aspect than Kolkata. Else, everything is fine.
