An enjoyable few days with great sightseeing and tours. Me and my husband felt this had improved the whole experience. Maharajas's Express is undoubtedly the best means to travel and explore the heritage of India with. Its world class facilities make the journey comfortable, exciting and luxurious.

I am sactified with the staff.Train is very luxurious and best train to travel.

But there is a problem that you can't sleep in it

MAHA RAJA EXPREES is very good But fare is very poor

I had a very good experience there. I was feeling like a royal king there.

Just returned last night from a wonderful 12 day trip to India with 3 girlfriends. We traveled on the Maharajahs Express train for 8 days through Rajastan on their "Heritage of India" Journey. Just wanted to post that it was the most interesting trip I have ever taken. We loved the experience and the train. We started in Mumbai and ended in Delhi, visiting the Ajanta Caves,(Amazing!) Bikaner, Udaipur, Jodphur,Jaipur, Rathambore, Tiger retreat, (could have skipped that one, no tigers visible and it was very cold. We are spoiled, as it looked a lot like our Colorado) and Agra, home of the Taj Mahal which was completely fogged out, but once inside the building, you could see the absolute elegance and enduring grandeur. The train experience was just the best and we felt the only way to be continually comfortable and safely travel to all of these places with minimum hassle. The train only had 38 passengers although it could go up to 88 and we were treated like royalty. The accommodations are good and the staff created a luxury feeling with their constant good will and treatment. Food was good and they offered Continental as well as Indian Food, Vegetarian and Meat offerings. They said it was all organic, but we were still careful to avoid the raw vegetables and uncooked foods just to be safe for our American stomachs. The alcohol was plentiful. They included house brands all the time and then you could buy top shelf if you wanted to upgrade your taste. Lots of special experiences were included and beautiful dinners and luncheons in elegant hotels and palaces as well as an amazing banquet in the desert dunes. Modes of transport included Camels, Elephants, Tuk Tuks, Rickshaws, Jeeps and good tours. Good Guides daily were included and optional additional tours were available if you wanted to go non-stop. I am posting as it was really a remarkable experience that others should know about. We saw it on CBS Sunday Morning TV Show and decided to book and were really glad we did it!! Husbands were not as interested and they really missed a lot, but it was actually really fun with the girls, who were much more patient with the shopping needs! I would highly recommend to all! On board Maharajas' Express, it is easy to forget you are on a train. The sheer size of the rooms, the amazing dining areas and the lounge big enough to be your neighborhood 's only hangout place, just about everything about this train is wonderful. The luxury is unmatched and hospitality, well, you have to experience it to believe it.

Its website is user friendly, fast, hassle-free, efficient, error-free and has won the confidence of its large number of customers. IRCTC is known for changing the face of railway ticketing in India which is internet-based rail ticket booking through its website and mobile phones. Its knowing PNR status as well as SMS service is very popular. However, its catering services need drastic improvement and as it seems there are not too many happy passengers. IRCTC must made its catering optional in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains and must not impose its poor quality food on passengers

The train was luxurious, the staff were excellent and very friendly. This was the best experience will never be forgotten. Thank you once again... :)

I travel a lot and I've had several amazing journeys, but the one in Maharajas' Express is clearly the most memorable. I had a fantastic time visiting some of the most prominent tourist spots in India and exploring the vast cultural heritage. Furthermore, the world-class services offered in the train ensure complete comfort. From the luxurious suites to the classy restaurants providing delicious food from multiple cuisines, each and every feature of this train is simply excellent. The suites are equipped with a multitude of facilities like cabin-controlled air conditioning, LCD television, DVD player, wardrobe, personal safe, dial phone and Internet connection.

The Maharajas Express is a joint venture of IRCTC and it is the most expensive luxury train in the world. It runs on 5 circuits covering more than 12 destinations across North-West and Central India, mainly centred on Rajasthan between the months of October to April. It is equipped with world class facilities including large dining, bar, lounge, generator, LCD TVs, direct dial phone, internet, individual temperature controls and in suite bathroom as well. The train also has a lounge called the Rajah Club with a private bar, two dining cars and a dedicated bar car.

I have not yet ridden the train but it a cool train what I have seen in "OMG Yeh Mera India"

Maharajas Express is the latest and most luxurious train in India. It is the only luxury train in Asia to be voted World s Leading Luxury Train. Launched in 2010 by IRCTC, Maharajas Express offers 5 journeys cutting across state borders in India. Maharajas Express comes with most spacious
accommodation in its class. It also houses one of its kind Presidential Suite spanning over an entire carriage. This suite comes equipped with a master bedroom, living area,
kitchenette and a bathroom fitted with bathtub.

All guest cabins come equipped with attached toilets, Wi-Fi internet, individual climate control, writing desk and electronic
safe. Additionally, Suites also have large wardrobes, mini bar, direct dial phones and live television and audio/video dock.

There is more to a holiday than just cool destinations and luxurious hotels. I realized this when I traveled in Maharajas' Express. While the train covers several exciting tourist spots, it also provides an amazing traveling experience. The train truly personifies luxury with its lavish cabins equipped with a plethora of facilities like LCD TV, DVD player, temperature control, dial phone and WiFi Internet connection to name a few. There is a mini-pantry at the end of every coach, along with a valet who promptly responds every time passengers need his services. Furthermore, we also got to savor delicious food offered at the two classy restaurants in this train.

This is a 7 star Luxury train from Indian Railways. Facilities are awesome but big negative is price.
