Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international Airport, Kolkata is a good airport with almost all facilities that a modern airport requires, but there are few points, why we have to take off our jackets belts shoes etc to go through security checks , when the airport is collecting so much of taxes from each passenger via each air tickets sold by all the airlines, why can't they install whole body scanners which takes very less time and are more accurate reducing load on CISF personals, we are moving ahead in technology and our infrastructure should set benchmarks for others , I can understand such scanners are expensive but if you calculate the cost of person involved manually doing the entire process I guess the cost will be even more higher and time consuming, frustrating for the officials and the passengers too, we understand we cannot depend upon the technology 100% and human intervention is always required in such matters but looking at the Cobid 19 and traffic that this airport handles I think it will be practical.
