Lovely dinner here last week with friends visiting from New York. I started as usual with I can t eat onions and garlic ..... and expected blank looks. Our server was amazing. He understood, asked chef for guidance and he watched over my food choices throughout dinner.
We tried two appetizers, the octopus salad and the three dips with pita bread. All five of us were very pleased with our choices. Our server brought warm bread with fresh hummus - he brought me olive oil, remembering my garlic issues.

The baklava was among the best we ever had.
Wines were very expensive by the glass. The extensive menu was also pricey, but the fixed price menu was perfect.
The service was impressive, and the ambiance was rustic and beautiful. Restrooms are downstairs, but there is an elevator.
I ll be back here for sure!

Delicious. Had great robola wine, tender octopus, crispy fried courgette and aubergine with tzatziki, horiatiki sakata with the best tomato's and an amazing whole fagri with asparagus on the side. Was pretty damn expensive though...

I was impressed with the place! Excellent service, delicious food and pleasant atmosphere. I don't remember myself being so satisfied with the restaurant before. I definitely recommend this restaurant those who'd like to experience something new and unusual. Please, taste their octopus. It was the best I've ever had.

Estia in Radnor Township
ATTN: ANASTASHIA

The experience was horrific. It was my b-day celebration which involved a surprise b-day party . My b-day was not acknowledged and reservations for this party were well over a month age. My friend and I ordered the Royal Dorado and I specifically asked the waiter if there were any bones in the fish and he said no and then we only wanted to order 1 lb and said he was out of 1 lb and we would have to pay for a 1lb in a half which the price should of been honored at 1 lb or I should of been offered another type of fish. There were bones in my fish and ny friends had bones in their fish as well. It was my b-day and they dropped the ball on my b-day reservations were made well over a month ago in my relatives name. They were rude when I called and didn't want to make to help us in any way . Gina who was one of the managers was vile to me and hung up on me numerous times and some of the other staff as well. She also proclaimed to be one of the owners and she wasn't. . GIna one of the owners which I found out that she wasn t and lied to me on the phone which was very unprofessional, she hung up on me and didn't even make good on what was promised. She threatened me with the other owner Michale Papadoulos and she said he would say worst to u. She was VILE. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and discusting management team ever and we have given them plenty of business through event parties with my business and have had huge dinner parties. I am appalled . This has been the worst experience I have ever been through and we paid a tremendous amount of money numerous times
Thumbs down to Estia.

Went prior to a show at the Academy of Music. We took advantage of the pre-theatre menu. Our server was wonderful. The first question he asked was if we were seeing a show, and he assured us that we had plenty of time (our reservation was at 6:45 and our show started at 8). Service was fast, but not rushed at all. I had the Octopodi. I will definitely order this again! My husband was jealous that he didn't order it too! For my main course, I had the Lamb Trahana. This was also delicious! So many good flavors. We've decided to make Estia part of our routine prior to each of our shows!

Best Greek food I have ever had, and I have not been to Greece. This was part of a celebration party. We had the three-course meal option, but the a la carter options were amazing as well. The waiter we had was INCREDIBLE. Extremely patient, funny, and had decent recommendations for all of 16 of us attending the dinner. Would definitely recommend this place any day.

I WAS OVERWHELMED at the incredible choices on the menu. When our lovely , lovely server helped me out, I found that the item I chose was absolutely phenomenal. The service, the ambiance, the preparation was far over the top, and much too good to be visited only sparingly.

The food was simply amazing, and my favorite was the Zucchini chips for an appetizer and the Chilean Sea bass...yum! all of our food was to die for, but we ALL craved those zucchini chips for days! The food and the service was way beyond our expectations....and the restaurant was clean and beautiful as well. Highly recommend it!

My girlfriend and I went here for Valentine's. The food was really nice. We had a nice waiter and service was excellent. It seems like it can get really busy depending on the days, so make sure you reserve!

Truly amazing food and beautiful atmosphere. It's on of the few restaurants in the area that is easy to combine delicious with healthy.
Dinged a star only because the noise level makes it hard to hold a conversation.

I have eaten here several times, the food and service are always very good. On this visit I was joined by my son - we did not realize that it was Philly Restaurant Week. We ordered from the $35 prix fixe menu. The food was very good as always. If i had a complaint, it probably has to do with it being restaurant week, the food came out a little fast (all 3 courses) in my opinion. I just felt a little rushed. It is a minor complaint after a terrific mean. I would definitely go back....

Anniversary dinner on St. Valentine s Day. Had reservations seated right away. Wife and I sat at table for 20 minutes with no service at all until I got up and complained. Dozens of wait staff ran back and forth. Left never going back.

Good food but this is the second time we were seated at a table where the wait staff bunped into my chair about 6 times during the meal. For as much as we paid and booked a month in advance you think they would make the experience better.

This site is my first choice restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. Whenever I feel like having a decent dinner, this place comes immediately to my mind. best and all sorts of food and a rich cuisine.trained staff, and great atmosphere. In addition to that, the expence is fair. I tell about this place with no doubt.

Have been here several times, for both business and personal. Highly recommended. The grilled octopus salad is sublime and the lamb chops are the best you will find anywhere. Save room for dessert, but be careful. True to the Greek heritage, they are so light but so sweet you will be in heaven.

I just needed to pop in for a gift card as a gift for a friend, and they were very helpful and nice. The transaction was quick, and they seemed very genuine when they complemented my outfit and suggested a new place in the area for drinks. I know my friend who I was getting the gift card for adores their food, but their front desk service really sold me on trying it for myself.

I go to this outstanding place every couple of days as I enjoy the ambiance that is part of this place. The personel is extraordianrillyremarkably attentive and well trained. The service is awfully fast. Needless to say, the food they cook is outstanding. I frequent often and I was always pleased. The price is decent. I highly suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

Very good cuisine (food4)... but. Prices over the top (prices2) ; and we re not afraid of a restaurant bill. Additionally the servers clearly have the message to turn the tables. Pity that it s more of a money maker than a great restaurant. Second and last time.

Great location across the street from The Academy of Music. We chose from the prix fixe "theater menu" at $35 per person which includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. We also chose the pita and dip appetizer. Everything was served in a timely manner and the waiter was very pleasant. Add a glass of wine and cup of coffee and expect to pay $125.00 a couple with the tip.

Estia is always one of the best restaurants in Philly. The food is always excellent and the service great. I highly recommend the grilled stuffed calamari and the grilled octopus. This is some of the best Mediterranean food in the city.
