Food is very good but somewhat overpriced, especially the whole fish selections which are sold by the pound but you pay for the inedible head, fins, bones, and the tail. Service was excellent.

Wonderful atmosphere with beautiful decor. Although upscale, did not feel out of place in my casual travel clothing. Wonderful Sauvignon Blanc that went wonderfully with seasoned pan-searedsea bass and rest of 4-course Mediterranean meal.

Excellent service, fresh seafood and Greek entrees. Wine selection is diverse and bar tenders are attentive and provide informed drink suggestions. The lamb dishes are excellent for lamb lovers. Plenty of meet, chicken and seafood selections to choose.

It is OK. good flavor but not value. Very expensive and overhyped for the quality. Had the chicken soup and it was creamy but tasted mediocre w a hint of lime. The shrimp in the rigatoni lacked any flavor but the pasta sauce was good. The yogurt dessert is what saved the meal and deserved the 4 stars.

The atmosphere is warm and familial, the menu offers a vroad range of options and the food was good -- took off a star because two small items never showed up: sparkling water, which I later cancelled, and lemons, which were offered when I cancelled the sparkling... but never arrived.

I find Estia to be uninspired after all these years, and overpriced given other Philly fine-dining landmarks. Their fresh fish selections are good but definitely overpriced, well above even the most expensive entrees.

To begin with, the outside of this restaurant is very welcoming, the inside even more with a hospitable staff. This place had different types of tables for seating(round, square, rectangular) and still there is enough room to walk around!! The bathroom is beautiful and roomy. Okay let me talk about the food we had. Appetizers consisted of, Spanokopita, Mussels Saganaki, Octopodi, and fried cheese in a delicious butter and lemon sauce. All four of these items where delicious!!! The entree that where ordered are, Lavraki(grilled sea bass w/ladolemeno and capers) and Arni Paidakia(Lamb chops w/roasted potatoes and tzatziki sauce). My nieces said, the fish was good. I had the lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection!!! Very juicy and season well. I liked the potatoes too. Dessert was excellent: Galaktoboureko(semolina custard wrapped in phyllo) very light and creamy. One niece had gotten the Poached Peach w/ a champagne reduction, said it was, good. The other niece had the same as me, the Galaktoboureko Oh yeah, thank you to our waiter, Currian!! You were very professional and helpful with choosing the food and wine. Yes, I would go again!!!!

Went to Estia before a show at the Kimmel Center, and fell in love! The interior is rustic and beautiful, large enough so you aren't crowded yet still feels intimate. The food is delicious and perfect for sharing. Our server knew the menu very well and was able to help us pair our wine with what we ordered. I want to come back to check out their happy hour!

Dispite the very unique Mediterranean menu, our party was sorely disappointed with this restaurant. The service was over water yet poorly trained. The space, itself, did not seem clean. The food was okay. Just okay. We were there for a birthday celebration, but the excitement ended soon after we were notified that menu options were unavailable and when the food service we received was inconsistent. Would not go back again, but if you go, I would suggest the fish of the day option.

My boyfriend and his family & I dined here for his graduation. This was my first time, needless to say I was impressed. We sat in a beautiful comfortable booth. The waiter who took care of us Saki handled are orders exceptionally well. He was very kind and very skilled. The Greek food is delicious and hot. I suggest trying the octopus! Best I ever had. Besides the great food and service, the establishment it's self is beyond beautiful. Definitely a MUST SEE!!!

We went for Restaurant Week. Unlike many places, Estia offered up a menu of some of their best stuff.. Grilled Octopus, Whole Sea Bass, Lamb chops, etc. The kind of stuff that will make you want to return.. Casually elegant venue and sincerely friendly service.

Will you always stop here for dinner before the theater at the Academy of Music.

Highly recommended for dinner before the show or or just dinner

Went for a private birthday dinner in the wine room --the space itself is beautiful (a bit chilly since it is the wine storage room and there were servers coming in and out grabbing bottles which was slightly annoying for a private event). The cocktails and service were EXCELLENT, the food was... OK
Don't know if I would go back but I'm not mad it, we had a fantastic evening regardless

This was a great experience. The food and the ambiance were great. The server was personable and knowledgeable about the product. Little pricy but probably right on for the Philly market.

Don't eat here my brother was an exterminator they have so many roaches in the kitchen you would not believe it. The kitchen is filthy. They think you can exterminate half the kitchen one month and wait a month for the other half. Raisins or roaches?

Delicious food and excellent service! We lucked out and arrived during Restaurant Week! Tasted all the best of Estia for a pris fixe price that was amazing! Loved the lamb chops, Mediterranean salad, and baklava!

I have been here a few times over the years and I will say that they are very consistent in their food quality. Super fresh seafood. Usually I go for land animals when dining out, but here I always go with fish. Started off with the stuffed calamari. Superb! The whole fish was expertly prepared and filleted. Only found two tiny bones. The four stars may not be totally fair because we always come here before performances at the Academy so they are always slammed so service lags a bit. I should try them when they are slow, if they are ever slow.

Environment and service were good, but food taste is not what i would expect from so highly reviewed restaurant. Taste was like in simple cafeteria at your worklplace. Though prices are reasonable.

More food than I should have eaten. Could not stop. The flavors were wonderful and different. The service is great and the space is good looking and comfortable.

Yummy food but not wonderful service. I didn't feel like the waiter put in any time to make our experience pleasant. Also our orders were brought out so quickly that we hadn't finished the previous course. They just crammed all the food onto the table.

Good food but it is not the right place to host your family or friends if the server is Chris. I hope not to meet him next time. He needs to be polite to his guests. He was always aggressive and he hit my hand with the dish when he removed the dishes from our table. He was working like he was fighiting with something. He didn't have a sens of filling the glass of water. We didn't need that server at all.

One of the best Greek restaurants I have visited. The food was top quality. You can select your fish from a fresh ice bar. Many options to select from, the food Is Greek but more modern and well done. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful. Staff was extremely friendly. I would recommend coming here for Greek food. I loved every thing we ordered !

Meal here is amazing. We started with the pita and spread, and the spanakopita....delicious! Then we both got the moussaka for our main course. So so good. We finished with the baklava. To die for! We will 100% be going back! I highly recommended this restaurant.

Best Greek food I have found in the city. The grilled octopus and Souvlaki were my favorite dishes. The cocktails were also very good. They were very Covid conscious and had lovely outdoor seating. Service was spectacular and the wait staff and host were very friendly.

Food is fine but expensive. Service was slow and unprofessional. Had to ask the hostess twice to send our waiter to the table, Ridiculous! The service should be much better and attentive.

Very, very good food!

Very, very good food!
Super expensive, though.
But, wait for restaurant week, and get a great meal, for less than half the normal price.
