enjoyed a unique dinner here before PHL Orchestra concert. Great food, wines, crowded and a bit noisy, but thankfully we got seated in a corner so we could have conversation amongst the four of us. Fine Greek food.

Some of the best fish I've had in Philly! The service is really something special; staff is so helpful in providing a description of the meals. I've never been to a Greek restaurant prior to this, and so Estia made an excellent first-impression. The environment is quite formal; however, a great place to catch dinner on a weekend evening.

Went for my birthday - normally I don't love Greek food but I had a great experience here.

The interior is pretty large and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Go for:
- Whole fish - they brought the pre-cooked fish to our table in its "salt bath" which was awesome to see. The fish was huge!! It also tasted incredibly fresh and had a light, lemon-y sauce.
- Calamari - can never go wrong with calamari but they cook it so that it's light
- Lamb chops - so moist!

Tips:
- I believe they have a lunch special where you can pick an appetizer and entree - a great deal

Restaurant week at Estia didn t disappoint. Good food in a cozy Mediterranean setting. And Brandon our server and the rest of the Estia staff were exceptional! Had the shrimp, fish and chocolate cake. Overall a great meal.

First timers, I took my wife for her birthday. Very accommodating allowing us to push our reservation back an hour. Beatuiful restaurant, great table. It was my wife's birthday which was in the Open Table notes but it did not get acknowledged. That is not on the server but instead (Host dept. relaying that information. We did not have desert.) If you were to look up a picture of a Professional Server Bell's picture would be there. She was awesome with not only serving 101 but more importantly the nuances of serving. Lite banter, in and out, repetition, suggestions and opinions. The food was very fresh. The Tuna Sashimi had too much lemon zest, I would have preferred the colossal Shrimp Cocktail to be a bit more chilled however my wife liked it. The reason for a more extensive review is due to the $$$ spent. A little pricey but I would definitely like to try other items on the menu. It is on my list to return, 4.25 STARS.

So so good! Cute decor and not busy at all for lunch. My dining companions all got the lamb chops and we're very pleased. I had the tuna it was amazing. Perfectly portioned as well for lunch!

One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Celebrated our older son's birthday. Saki, our waiter makes you feel so comfortable. He says, "welcome home," when he comes to your table. He is an elderly, Greek, gentleman in the truest sense. After introducing to our sons, they commented that he is like your long, lost , Uncle from Greece. Everything about this restaurant is top shelf. The grilled octopus is the best I have had anywhere. The lamb chops melt in your mouth. Extensive wine list. Beautiful bar and the dinning room has so many different options. Some very romantic. All our meals were delicious. We weren't thrilled with the sponge cake but the fruit and homemade Greek yogurt platter that Saki brought to the table, complimentary was so fresh and tasty. He was taken back by a story he had told us many months before and we remembered and asked him about his nieces wedding in Canada. It doesn't take much to make this man smile. And he truly invites you to feel like one of the family. The Estia family. Also great place for apps and drinks before the Academy of Music and the Kimmel Center if you don't have time before the show for dinner. Thank you Saki

Me and my wife had an awesome experience with Andre. We had a rocky start when we arrived at about 9:15pm (45mins before closing). We were greeted by a host and hostess that momentarily looked at me and my wife and then checked their watches before addressing us. We were a bit apprehensive to stay after being welcomed like that. But things quickly improved when our waiter came. Andre was awesome. He was very personable and well informed. Not to mention our food was incredible. Literally one of the best seafood experiences I ve had. I will definitely be back.

We were party of 6. I was in the middle of my main dish, turned to my friend and my plate was taken. It happened to 3 of us. Hello- do you know what crossed silverware means? My dessert was taken after my 2 bites. Wanted to finish the appetizers but they were taken also. Nobody asked if we are done or do we wish to pack anything. Like they wanted to clean up the table asap. We were waiting for our food for 45 min. Still everything was delicious and love the decor.

Food was really good but the waiter dropped a quarter of my sauteed calamari and it splattered on my pants and shirt. Waiter didn't offer to bring me a new portion, to take the disk off the check or compensate me for the ensuing dry cleaning bill. I'm surprised by this low level of service at a restaurant of this price point. I really enjoy the suburban location but won't come back to the Center City location again.

I visit this place a lot since I work in the area. I got to say their service is always excellent and they keep the place well kept consistently. Rates are affordable and they serve large portions.

Very good Greek restaurant!!! You can have good authentic dishes here!! The location is just next to the theater of Academy of music and easy to access. The inside is very gorgeous and good atmosphere!!! I had a dinnerware here. I ordered 3 plates course. It includes appetizer, main plate and dessert!!! Of course we could have completely breads. Sooo delicious!!! I think Greek cuisine use olive often, so of course I could have good olive on my plates. Soooo delicious. I love here!!!! So I will visit again here for sure!!

Great food in beautiful surroundings. Not cheap nor very expensive, so I'd say a perfect place for those special moments when you want something extra. The personnel is knowledgeable and polite, which is an extra point worth mentioning

I recently had lunch there and it was magnificent as usual. For my main courses, I ordered the lamb chops and the Lavraki. The lamb was succulent and melted in my mouth. The service was impeccable and I have never had a bad meal there.

We had a wonderful experience here recently. The ambiance is elegant. We were seated by the window and service was fantastic. I had the "Estia chips" as an appetizer - fried zucchini and eggplant - to die for! Then I had the lamb chops! Delicious. It's probably a good thing I can't go there every week.

This is a really expensive Mediterranean restaurant with more inclined to Greece. Seafood is must try. We tried all of their food as we went in a group. They do have happy hours please check before you go. The ambiance is very nice. Parking is a real issue as the restaurant is at center city. But there are couple of parking lots in vicinity as qs long as you can pay 12 - 15 bucks more you are fine.

It was okay. The appetizer was pretty good. The main entree was alright. Some of my potatoes weren't cooked all the way so they were hard. The dessert tasted good. All 6 of us agreed it was an "okay" time.

Upscale Greek restaurant catering to the theater crowd for the Academy of Arts and the Kimmel Center. Pricey unless ordering off the theater menu which I d highly recommend. Ordered an aloe bourbon drink and it was delicious.

Octopus appetizer was amazingly tender. The seafood tower was delicious and fairly dramatic. Definitely would recommend though I would probably stick with appetizers and some sides. Cocktails were acceptable.

Came here for a birthday lunch for my mother and the place was a great choice! The ambiance is very elegant, yet provides for a casual feeling so you don't feel uncomfortable if you're not in a suit. Great seafood and great service. The $20 prix fixe menu is a great deal and a must-try if you are curious about what Estia has to offer. The appetizers are also large enough to share if you bring a group and each order different dishes.

I've had the pleasure of dining here a couple times. I can truly say the food and service is excellent. I had the fortune of being attended to by the same waiter each time, he is very attentive although not overly attentive. Try their Award-winning grilled octopus and if it's not Award-winning it should be, Give it a try and you'll see what I mean.

Went with friends who had been here before. Tried the prix fixe theater menu. Everything was really good. On our table, we got a plate of horiatiki, octopodi, and calamari before these entrees: charcoal grilled halibut, lamb trahana, pan seared sea bass, and papoutsakia, followed by baklava. Every dish was greattttttt! We left with our bellies full and are souls happy. P.S. The cocktails are great. I would recommend Khlori's passion.

If you are looking for Mediterranean, this is your place! My husband and I honeymooned in Greece and the food changed our lives. For a semi authentic experience (without catching a flight) Estia is the next best thing. A few recommended options: the grilled octopus, hummus and/or cheese plate, and the fish of the day. The shrimp are large and delightful so be sure to add that to your meal.

My husband and I both love the arts so we adore the theater menu. A great way to cap off the night after a good show without breaking the bank. The options are great with the theater menu alone which is a 3 course meal for $35 (restaurant week everyday). Enjoy!
