If you are in the mood for videogames of any era, they have it. From current gen all the way back to nes, and even farther back they have it all. Add in a bunch pocky, and knicknacks, and it's a fun place to visit.

Best Video Game Emporium around! The have New and Used stock, Old and New systems, and do repair work as well. Everyone is always helpful and friendly, and their prices almost always beat the competition. If you live in Northern Virginia, you should go nowhere else!

Called to ask about getting FFVII which releases tomorrow, guy on the phone told me that they had 4 copies in stock that I could come get. I drive all the way over there and they tell me they can t sell it to me. If that was the case, why didn t you tell me this over the phone before I drove all the way over here? Poor service.

Very large selection of games, accesories, figures, and more. Unfortunately, the store's prices are way too expensive. It's a really cool place to visit, but there are definitely cheaper places to buy your games, new and retro alike.

The store itself is great, but the employees are very unhelpful, and you don't feel welcome in the store. Sometimes you will ask someone to help you, and they will just flat out ignore you.

I don't really understand why one would go here instead of just shopping online. The prices are not any better, and the process of even looking up prices on any merchandise involves taking the item (in my case a large stack of games) to a computer and scanning in each game (the prices aren't on the merchandise). The scanner was buggy, so I ended up just typing in each game's title to get the price--just like I was home on my computer! There's no real discount for shopping in the store (okay, there was a deal for checking in on Yelp, which was $5 off a purchase of $20, but since I was there to buy a lot of stuff, it was insignificant). There's no break on price even if you buy a bunch of stuff. Nobody's available to help you. The person behind the counter could not be less interested in helping any customers with anything. I ended up buying a bunch of games--I was there, might as well. Spent about $300 (so that $5 of was a 1.6% discount, LOL). But I won't be back. The experience is not fun, takes forever, and there's really no financial reason to buy games in the store (even though they don't need to give amazon/ebay a cut, they don't pass it on to the customer). I drove about an hour to check this place out, but was pretty disappointed.

I ordered a specific title, and they shipped me a different title. When I contacted them to try to return the product, they first told me that I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. When I told that that wasn t going to happen, the gave me the gift Of waiving the 15% restocking fee, but I would have to pay the return shipping... for THEIR mistake. Terrible customer service. I will NEVER purchase from this company again. Count yourself lucky if you actually get what you order, else you ll have to pay to correct THEIR mistake.

Recently traded in some games and they claimed 2 of them were 'defective' and I had to pay $5 to ship them back to me. Not only do they work perfect, they were in mint condition when I sent them in, and now one of them has a cracked case. Customer service said 'there's nothing we can do for you.' Well, you got that right, I've dealt with this company for about 8 years now and you won't be doing a thing for me in the future.

First time purchase. After reading some of the user reviews and realizing that all the negatives were from a bunch of crybabies complaining that they didn't receive enough trade-in credit, I decided to purchase a game that was suspiciously cheap..thinking it was too good to be true. My game was shipped within hours and arrived literally within 2 days, item just as described. Truly satisfied with their service and hope to buy from them again in the future.

I've been collecting games for most of my life, been to quite a few retro stores and I can say this is one of the best experiences I've had. Very large selection, they clean consoles and games before selling them, and they have great trade values. Plus the fact you can order online and trade in online is awesome. Everyone who is interested in retro or even modern games should go here.

They've got just about everything as far as retro games go. Definitely worth spending some time looking around if you are a gamer. Great for buying older games no longer available anywhere else. Trade-in for games is good there too.

I have never had issues in the past but recently had a problem with an order. Customer service was very difficult to work with, just giving me excuses and no resolution. Upon hanging up I found myself raging that they were not willing to help me out. I submitted a BBB complaint and I suppose someone else was more willing to help me out. Problem has been solved... some customer service agents are better than others.

Love, love, love this place. Super helpful. Allowed us to purchase an item not on selling floor and made my son's 24th birthday perfect. Was the only gift he wanted. Definitely recommend for hard to find games and consoles. Never had a bad buy since they originally opened!

My boyfriend went to this location 3 weeks ago to trade in all his old game and systems for cash value. It took like almost 3 hours in the store. Then the guy working behind the counter told him the most they can give in cash at once would be $250 that day and the rest of his merchandise will be checked in within 2 business days and he can request to have the remaining money sent via pay pal once completed. 3 business days went by with no response so he called and was told he was give wrong info and it could take up to 7 business days to complete his transaction. A few days later he was notified his transaction was complete. He called the customer service line to request to have the money sent to his payal instead of receiving a check in the mail or having to drive an hour and a half back to the store. At that time he was told it would take 2-7 business days to have that process complete. This seemed like a long time but whatever, if that's what we have to do....so be it. Today is the 7th business day and he still has not received anything. He called back to the store again today and was told by a different person that the transfer to paypal is first come first served and the money would take up to 14 business days to go to his paypal. Like are you living in the stone age or what? When in 2019 does it take this long to receive money for a trade in. This entire process began on 9/15 and now today on 10/8, the rest of his money still have not been received. DO NOT COUNT ON THIS BUSINESS IF YOU REALLY NEED THE MONEY ESPECIALLY FOR A LARGE TRADE IN. I wish i could give ZERO stars. He would have been better off going to a pawn shop or something.

eStarland is a nostalgic gamers fantasy. If you are tired of playing all of the new games on the current generation consoles stop by eStarland and check out their vast selection of nostalgic games. They have everything dating all the way back to Atari. You can also purchase arcade cabinets!

If you have games you want to get rid of you can trade them in here as well. Don't fret they also carry current generation games as well!

Would really love to give five stars. The inventory and store itself is great. But the people working there don't seem to have a clue. There is no urgency in helping people. There will be a queue forming and noone seems to care. The staff just don't seem.to care that there are multiple customers waiting to purchase items at the store.

Amazing place to be. The GamersXchange is one of the best community events in the area (that's where you'll find the killer prices) and everything is easy to see and locate. Only problem is their website gets the job done, but leaves something to be desired. Also, the in-stock status is wrong a lot of times. Anyone who likes games should go right away.

These guys are great! I've been coming here since I was a child when they had two whole in the wall locations in Centreville and Fairfax. Amazed at how big they've grown. You'll like their friendly laid back culture there. Anything video game related and electronic wise you'll find there.

It's fun to look at the inventory, but the staff is terribly unorganized. I sat for an hour asking different people to please process my trade in (which I already did the order for online). I finally gave up and left, emailed and told them why and asked to cancel, and never heard back.

I have the pleasure of doing business both online and in store a multiple occasions and the experience has been almost perfect. The products that I've received have looked amazing and packed well when shipped. The processing time takes a little long in my opinion but in the end I've never been disappointed. Their prices have been very fair for what I've bought based on market value. I've tried other businesses and have been sorely let down by the product that I've received. I'd strongly recommend giving them your business for all your gaming wants and needs!

I arrived at Estarland Nov 21, 2018 to trade in a few games and a system. I gave 5 stars because the guy who assisted me, tried for at least 15 minutes trying to get an old SNES console of mine to work properly so that i can get my trade credit. Even though my console trade didnt go as planned,(console powered on but wouldnt start games) the great customer service and trade value for 4 of my games that i received was outstanding. Very nice people working at this place. Would recommend.

Great selection of older and newer games from all the older and latest gaming systems. Place is crazy busy but enjoyed looking around and remembering some of the games I played long ago. Have referred this place to several people who have also visited and bought items from here. Great place for people of all ages.

Tons of stuff, mostly videogames, old and new, lots of classic stuff in great condition. Overwhelming stock of games, kept very clean and organized. Toys and other merchandise may vary, I'm assuming due to shoppers moving things around. LOTS of statues and figurines as well. It is an online store, so you are essentially able to shop inside their warehouse.

Some prices are high, some prices are low, but condition overall is generally very good, complete games, no ridiculous stickers, no torn off labels, etc. They don't put pictures on the website, but they only seem to sell good games so it doesn't matter. Most times I've ordered games with greatest hits releases, that's the version I get, but prices overall are too low to complain about that. eStarLand is one of my go-to stores for retro games, especially for picking up lots of cheap games that aren't worth shipping individually.

They have a lot in inventory. Prices are very high, and you have to look up prices yourself(what's the point of having people on hand)I don't recommend this place. You will be buying at the highest price possible and have to service yourself.

Abysmal. Seriously. Sure, they've got some pretty awesome (and in some cases rare) finds. Sure, they've got pretty good trade values. Sure, you could get lucky and walk out with no issues whatsoever. The reason I'm giving one star though is for the times that you DON'T make it out unscathed.
I'll start with the general organization. Everything is everywhere. Even the employees can't find what they're looking for a good portion of the time. You could spend 30+ minutes waiting for them to just find what they said they have, just to be told "Oh well, you can wait for another one to come in." Not to mention the checkout process takes a lifetime. God forbid anyone try to checkout on a weekend. And all bets are off if they can't locate something immediately. No thought has been put into the efficiency of the process and no care has been given to making sure that customers have the most concise experience possible.
Next, let's touch on the staff. Now for the most part, everyone there is pretty friendly and accommodating, save for one girl. I think the times I've been in there I've heard people call her Rebecca, so I'm going to assume that's her name. I honestly for the life of me can't understand why this girl works in retail. She doesn't care one iota about the customers, only that she is heard and that she is right. She's rude, abrasive, and downright nasty. I've seen her scream (literally scream) across the store because someone was leaning over a counter to see a game better. I've seen her try to correct other employees in front of everyone, and then have someone above her tell her she's misinformed. I've seen her tell customers outright that they're wrong when they just ask a simple question. If this girl is the face of the store, then that speaks volumes about what goes on behind the scenes. From what I can tell she's the most lost of anyone there, but acts like she's the boss.
All in all, this place is not worth the pain. It's not worth the "savings" or the extra few dollars of trade. You will pay dearly with your time and your sanity. The fact that employees like this are allowed to continue working in customer facing roles and that a customer's time has no value to the management speaks volumes about the priorities of the company, and I can no longer support it. I recommend whoever reads this thinks twice about giving their business to eStarland.

I trusted them to come through when I traded in most of my childhood games. They did and more. There were some items I had that I could not find listed on the site and they did nicely and gave me fair credit for them. Ive also been happy with any vintage item I have bought from them for my N64.

I had a good experience selling old gear and games with eStarland. We are local, so we did everything in the store after loading our cart on the website. The staff is super helpful and took time to help my youngest find a new game. The selection is huge! I believe we will continue using them for purchasing selling games because of the staff and the selection.

Filled out a online forum for my games I was selling. It told me I'd get $171 and some change. Didn't say credit. But then when I got they say, oh there's a cleaning charge, -$5, oh and if you want cash you lose 30% more. The manager was really nice about it. But I still feel cheated. I of course sold my games because I needed the money for my son's bday. But still... Come on...

I came in to get my Wii fixed after it couldn t read disks. When they repaired it it worked fine except it took a few weeks to get it back. First it took 2 days to find the problem, then they asked just to make sure it was ok for them to fix it, then the parts were out of stock so they had to wait til the next week to get them & finish. Overall it was a great experience they have lots of games and other things. The only thing I don t like is that there s only 1 person to help people check out.

So this is your daddy's video store. It's home to sweaty and pale basement adults. You can expect to find massive amount of game software and obscure hardware for every platform under the sun. There are new and used products. There is even an area where players can sell or trade in private transaction. Good for the video geek.

I first heard of Estarland from a friend in 2013. He basically described it as a gamer's paradise & another friend called it the Cave of Wonders. From the first day I walked in, I was overwhelmed with emotions taking me back to my childhood days of the late 80s & early 90s :D Estarland is THE BEST PLACE for gamers to get their retro feel on. I come in here almost every week because I feel I'm still discovering gaming by learning & playing its past. I plan to buy more & more as I have already expanded upon my massive library of vintage games :D Estarland, you guys are amazing!!

Love these guys. Service is decent, ultimate selection pertaining to games, and consoles from NES to PS4. Yes you can trade items for store credit or cash, place and pick up orders by website, just create an account but not necessary. Always friendly, you will need a little patience to purchase items. They use their PCs to do purchases, and the internet can be a small issue at times, otherwise, these guys and their establishment....ROCK!!

Fantastic place! First time in the store just this Saturday and I was floored. Not only do they have a knowledgeable staff, but I got what I wanted on my visit. Definitely miss these types of stores and wish one was around in Illinois some where. Would love to come back and spend more time looking. The only thing I would like them to change are store hours as they are far too short. Love everything otherwise. Game on all!
