This restaurant has a beautiful setting of an old Firehouse from the 1900's, refurbished into a modern restaurant that is in keeping with the recent economic boom in Walker's Point. You'll get a lot of that "hipster feel" in here, including the inflated prices for food and drinks. The "hot one" bloody mary I had was delicious and lived up to it's name. The food options have a South American style that does not match the setting at all, but are apparently inspired by the ownership. I had never tried traditional Columbran breakfast (obviously modified for American portion sizes and ingredient availability) and I enjoyed the new experience. I can't say I was blown away by the flavor, but it was an enjoyable brunch nonetheless. One of our dishes did come out poorly done - it was undercooked and oversalted - but the staff was quick to fix the mistake and the replacement dish came out quickly with obvious care for the quality of our experience. The service was excellent to be sure. I'd say you should definitely visit this brunch place for the experience. I will probably be back soon to try the other interesting menu options.

Best breakfast in Milwaukee hands down. Get anything with their outstandingly light and bright hollandaise on it. It's really a special thing that brings out the best in the salmon or whatever you get. Salad on the side for breakfast is my new thing learned from here also. La Merenda's breakfast place was bound to be good but this is a level up even with that in mind.. definitely make reservations in advance as they do not take same day reservations and there is always a significant wait. I've definitely waited it out in their upstairs bar over a bloody and coffee which is pretty painless also!

Super tasty local brunch spot that seems like it can get crowded if you show up after 9:30. Waitress was patient with my tiredness and slow reaction times but helped me select something delicious. I have a feeling most things on the menu would be pretty great. Coffee was pretty decent as well!

My girlfriend and I were so excited to visit this place, and were so disappointed.

Of course, the fire house theme is very cool. They could have embraced it a bit more, maybe paid a bit more homage to the Milwaukee FD, but it's cool.

The menu is a bit over the top and could be simplified. Someone went a little nuts trying to make the menu sound fancy. I mean this in reference to the names and descriptions of items more than the items themselves, but it could apply to the latter as well.

I ordered a pulled pork eggs benedict creation, I'm a big eggs benedict fan. The pulled pork was dry and didn't have much taste, but the potatoes on the side were fantastic. I ordered a fried plantain on the side and it came smothered in salt and pepper, thus rendering it useless.

My girlfriend ordered chocolate/chocolate chip pancakes with shredded coconut mixed into the batter, and an apple cider mimosa. The drink was good, pancakes average. No need for the shredded coconut, and the pancakes were nothing special.

Overall, nothing about this place makes it worth returning to.

Excellent food. Everything was very fresh and well done. They don't split up bills though, so paying for our bill (10 people) turned into a bit of a nightmare. They also add 20% onto groups of 6+ (likely why they won't split up a bill) which ended up being far less than we would have tipped anyway. So the server lost out there.

Omg this place is amazing! We had one if tje best brunched we have had in awhile! They were very unique dishes and they were soo good. The other plus was the board games that you can play upstairs while you're waiting. I would consider taking the train up from chicago just to go to this place!

Wonderful food and some of the best wait staff I've seen! Yes, it's small and they don't take reservations, but you can kill time in their larger upstairs bar. Going back tomorrow and I can't wait!

I go here a few times a year. Most of the time one can expect a wait, but the bar upstairs is open and comfortable, and can even accommodate large groups of patrons. The food is interesting, original, and memorable - which keeps me going back. I've had numerous dishes from Engine No. 3 and they have never disappointed. I especially enjoy that they play host to a varied twist on international cuisine. The service is always friendly, and our last host Emily was top notch.

Wonderful aesthetic in a restored 1900-era firehouse with locally-sourced provisions that make up the entirety of the menu. Plates are generously portioned while each bite is worth the set price and then some. A solid recommend from this native to any Milwaukeean and visitor to the Brew City; will be returning in the future myself!

Love the atmosphere and the food is great! The chorizo Joe was great comfort food and the truffle fries were amazing! The kids had the Blueberry pancakes and they were huge, full of blueberries, and fluffy. My husband tried the Ramen which had a few areas to improve but the overall flavors were great!

Great service here. They have plenty of space here in the converted firehouse. We went up stairs for mimosa while we waited for a table. They have some unique options here without straying too far away from what's tried & true.

I want to say it s my third time coming here and we always leave so satisfied! Jason was our server today and he was super friendly, aware, and was crushing it with the names of the menu items. We never once asked where he/our food was, and he didn t try to rush us out. I came hungry and still took home leftovers, which is always a win in my book. We will keep coming back for the service, scenery, and yummy food

This place is SO delicious and they give you a generous amount of food for the price as well. The building is very cool with it's historic firehouse ties and plenty of seating available. I've been for both breakfast and lunch, minor wait times. Brunch times was DEAD during the weekend , so it's a great time to go and have some peace and quite. Lovely service from the staff there. Only downfall is that it's street parking, but there's plenty of spots to park with majority of surrounding buildings being night life businesses. My favorite dish will have to be the patacon con huevo y carne. All the dishes are filled with flavor and to see the international variety is cool and the fact that they get their ingredients locally is awesome as well.

Overall, I liked it here, and the food was excellent, but the service was pretty slow. The staff was very nice, but our waitress didn't often come to check on us. With that being said, the food did have good value as well.

The wait upstairs went from 30 minutes to over an hour. I actually had to call the restaurant to see what the issue was... The food was terrible, overloaded blueberries pancakes and overcooked, dried out bacon.

The historical setting and the diverse menu make this restaurant an enjoyable experience in addition to a place to get good food. The service was friendly, helpful, and fast. We stopped as we traveled home north from the Milwaukee airport and it was not difficult or far off of Hwy. 43.

Historic building beautifully restored. Locally sourced meats and vegetables in creative international dishes. Super friendly staff. Menu near the front door signed by Barack Obama after his surprise 2016 lunch here.

Excellent food and service, unique decor. Went here with my family on December 23 for brunch before church. Definitely recommend, but bring your fat wallet. Breakfast for 4 with no alcoholic beverages (only one oj, one coffee and two hot cocoas) was over $80 with tip.

In a converted Firehouse, it's a true gem. Fabulous food, excellent bloody Mary's, great atmosphere. Make reservations in advance or hang out in the upstairs bar on Sunday mornings. It's crowded for a reason. Fabulous!

I had the WORST Milwaukee brunch experience this morning at Engine Company No. 3. Our waitress was sweet, the only redeeming factor. We were seated by the open door and had to keep our coats in the whole meal. I ordered maple French toast, came covered in strawberry jam?! Sorry, don't like strawberries, wasn't listed so on the menu. Sent it back, asked for what I originally ordered: maple French toast. Entree came : BURNT AND INEDIBLE. Manager came over, made excuses. By this time my friends have finished eating. The manager REFUSED to cover entree. Decided to try the pancakes. I was "offered" the employee discount of 50% off. Woohoo? Went to the bathroom NO TOILET PAPER. Then, to top it off, THE HOST ASKED US TO LEAVE BEFORE MY FOOD HAD EVEN ARRIVED. The pancakes were so dry I left them. Never EVER coming back. Horrible service.

Amazing food and service! Zach was our waiter and did a great job explaining the local sourcing of the ingredients. The fun started before the meal when I lost at an epic battleship game upstairs until our table was ready. I had chorizo Joe's and was blown away by everything about it - flavor was wonderful!

I gave Engine Co. four stars because the food was fenominal but the staff was definitely short of 5 stars. We made reservations over a week early because it s definitely not a walk-in type of place. My husband and I arrived 10 minutes early for our 11 am reservation. The hostess reacted like we broke some sort of rule and asked us to sit at the bar to wait despite the open tables in the dining room. We sat at the bar closest to the door since we ve never been to Engine Company before. We had removed our jackets and gotten comfortable when the bartender looked at us confused and asked if we were waiting for a table. We said we had reservations and we were asked to sit at the bar to wait. She instructed us to go upstairs to the other bar like that was something we should ve already known. We took out money off the bar feeling kind of alienated at this point. We walked up the stairs to the second bar where we sat down and ordered drinks. The bartender handed my husband an empty cup and showed him where the coffee was just 5 ft from the bar. He was annoyed that he had to get up a second time in 5 minutes. By the time he sat down next to me with his coffee, the host found us and told us a table was ready... I was a little annoyed that we went through all that trouble because we were 10 minutes early for our reservation. After we were seated, the experience was pleasant. The food is obviously what makes the experience so desirable. I ordered the bangers and mash and my hustand ordered the daily special, which was a chili omelette. We were impressed with the food and our waitress was very friendly. The pretentious staff is what knocked a 5 star down to a 4. We most likely will not return. We can get friendlier service and equally delicious food anywhere in Milwaukee.

Engine Company is a neat place to visit with great food. It's kind of a hipster-elite atmosphere, where asking a normal question may get you scoffed at. Their food is all incredible and the location is super cool with decent street parking. Personally, i'm not a fan of the bloody Mary (outside of the shortie beer), but others here seem to like it. They're also really heavy on reservations, which is annoying because my mornings aren't scheduled out in-depth enough to allow for a reservation, but i'd imagine that's nice if you have a big group. i wish they had more walk-in tables for two or three people to sit at.

We came to Milwaukee for our wedding anniversary and this is the best thing we did all weekend! The food was so unbelievably delicious, we each ordered two things off of the menu and shared. The building is very neat with a great atmosphere. The service from the staff was perfect, quick and genuinely kind. Did I say how amazing the food was? I will be talking about it for weeks and and I can't wait to go back and try something new!

The carmel apple French toast dish was bland and tasted as if it was served past its prime. I was disappointed because I've been looking forward to dining here for some time. My husband had the Bangers and Mash which were very good. The service was satisfactory.

Was told there was a 20 min wait, so we ordered drinks upstairs and played Sorry with the kids. The wait only ended up being about 10 mins. Nice start.
After ordering food, it took more than 30 mins to arrive. Place wasn't too busy, there were a few empty tables and the table next to us that had 10 people and ordered 5 mins after us got their food before we did.
The bloodies were good, but not great.
No plastic straws is commendable, but there are such things as compostable straws. No straws is a bummer.
Everyone at our table tried everyone elses food and enjoyed almost everything. The smoke pork benedict was mine, and my favorite. The potatoes we a bit too salty, but very good! Kids devoured the blueberry pancakes!
Overall, good experience. Not going to ding a slow kitchen first time I eat here. Would come back next time I'm in Milwaukee.

Wonderful brunch! The food was amazing, and on top of that the service is phenomenal. It is tapas style, but the portions are still fairly large. My BF and I ordered the veggie special omelet, French toast, and potatoes and we had more than enough food, and we found the prices to be very reasonable.

It will be hard to find a better place for a brunch! The pepper-infused Bloody Mary is simply outstanding and all the dishes we tested during our visit were hearty and very tasty. All with a super nice team and a very original setting, a former fire station.

Great food, amazing coffee!! Nice selection of brunch menu items, we all had something different and it was all good. Use local ingredients when the can and again, the valentine coffee was delicious

Food was good, our server was great but eat your food slow otherwise they rush you out of there. We have been to many restaraunts and have never been asked to leave our table because they 'like to keep the rotation moving.' We were offered to move upstairs but we were just wanting to finish our water after spending $55.00 on our brunch. You would think we could at least finish our water before having to move on. We just moved here and probably wouldn't go back. When you walk into a restaurant we like for our overall experience to be great and definitely don't need mean stares after we paid our bill.

Great service... food average
Brooke did a wonderful job as our server. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Atmosphere was very cool and interesting however I thought the food was a little overpriced.

As you see in the photos they tried real hard to make the menu interesting but it just isn t that delicious for the price. I would rather you stick to an America theme and do it well then to try so many things and just achieve so so!
