Food is always amazing and the atmosphere is very cool. The building itself is charming and the inside is set up with lots of booths and there is also an upstairs. The only issue is that if you want brunch, unless you called ahead, be prepared to wait. For a while. But that's not Engine Co #3's fault, just goes to show that is a spectacular brunch spot

The elegant and pristine palace the is the Engine Company Number three is poetic in the way of food. The atmosphere is a certain je ne sais quoi if a may be so bold. Hmmm. Which I may!! If you have yet to go treat yourself, just tell them Dan sent you. It will do nothing for you but it sounds cool to act like you know someone working there.

I'm sure food was great but unfortunately a bunch of Karen's from 10 feet away decided we were being too loud at the bar and never got the chance to try it. Don't attempt to come here if you had a couple day drinks and want to enjoy food at the bar

What is happening to Engine Co? We went on Saturday 12/30 food was so salty we could hardly eat it, plus the service was bad. Never asked if we wanted a 2nd drink, and didn't see server again till she brought the check. This also happened the previous time we came in November. That time, one of my husband's poached eggs was cooked hard, and when they remade it, there was no sauce on it. He asked for hollandaise, they brought it, and charged $1 for it! We asked to have taken off--just on principal as it was their mistake in the first place. Finally, went to the bathroom just to wash my hands when we got there and it was disgusting. Filthy. Kind of lost my appetite right then. Love La Merenda, but won't be coming back to Engine Co.

We have always loved coming here. Another great food experience, however while we were chatting at the end of our meal our server encouraged us (& not in the sweetest of tones) to move upstairs to the bar, clearly asking us to leave the table. There was no wait and empty tables around us so we were slightly confused by the rude request. We unfortunately left with a bad taste in our mouths after that. I ve also noticed other reviewers have written about the same experience. I ll opt to go elsewhere for brunch next time. I believe brunch is supposed to be a relaxed dining experience... Especially for those of us who don t get out for it very often.

My husband and I had our (COVID) wedding at Engine Company No.3 on 8/1/2020, and it was perfect! I would highly recommend Amanda and her team for any type of event/dinner. The food was amazing, we got compliments from all our guests. Everything was so great even though we put together our wedding relatively last minute. Thank you so much!

This place is so cozy inside and the food was fantastic. Our server was so pleasant and explained all of the fancy food words to us before we ordered. I got the spaghetti squash and the portion was a little smaller than I m used to at other brunch places, but other dishes seemed to have bigger portions.

What a fantastic place for breakfast, brunch or lunch (they close at 2pm every day and closed all day on Mondays). This old fire station has the charm and tasteful decorations that makes it truly unique. Our group of four made reservations and the main floor was full of customers by the time we were eating. We did not venture up stairs but next time I think I will take a peek even though I did not see a fireman's pole anywhere. The staff was extremely pleasant and friendly. We ordered blueberry pancakes as an appetizer and they were delicious as was the Shepard's Pie. Street parking was plentiful when we arrived for our 11:30 am reservation. We will definitely visit again.

Fun atmosphere. Full service bar while you wait. Bloodies have great fixings but a little on the tomatoy side. Service is great, Emily was very friendly. Fresh tasty food. Salmon Benedict for me, South African sausage for my wife. Red potatoes are fantastic! Highly recommended for brunch.

Milwaukee has a lot of great brunch places, but this is one of my absolute favorites. Whether you are looking for classic brunch/breakfast items or something unique, Engine Company No. 3 will satisfy with hearty dishes from around the globe. The quality is top notch and the location is great for group outings or more intimate meals. Love it!

One of my favorite brunch spots. The food is delicious here.

However, last time I came the wait was extremely long due to for some reason that they repurposed the entire upstairs as a wait area rather than an area that people can be seated and served. Waste of space

Great food, really cool ambience. It used to be a fire station if that wasn't evident from the name. I had the smoked pork Benedict which was awesome. They have great breakfast potatoes and monkey bread as well.

Great breakfast/brunch spot. Unique setting (in an old Fire Station) with amazing dishes and friendly staff. Tried a Raspberry Mimosa today along with Quiche Lorraine. So tasty - highly recommended. Definitely one of our Milwaukee favorites!

The food was delicious and the service was on point. The menu offered a wide variety of foods with South american inspirations as well as classic breakfasts. I personally enjoyed the open spaces and fire station decore. Great place for brunch and the prices are fair for the quality of food that youre getting. I will be back in to try more.

Gluten Free haven!! I have celiac disease and have been desperate for actual delicious food. The amazing thing about Engine Company No. 3 is that a large portion of their brunch menu is naturally gluten free (please inform staff regardless while ordering if you have celiac). That means no tiny sandwich bread while everyone else has giant, delicious looking sandwiches, no side salad instead of fries (because I'm a person too, I like fries). Actual, regular food. I had the PATACON CON HUEVO Y CARNE with chorizo and it was honestly one of the best meals I can remember. Smashed plantains, cilantro rice and beans that tasted like heaven, and the chorizo was not greasy at all. I could go eat that dish every day. My husband had the URTAIN with chicken and steak, but said that both proteins were under seasoned (everything else was good). I live about a half hour away but I can't wait to go back.

Great food and good prices. One of the best brunch menus I ve seen, but sadly some of the worst service I ve ever encountered. Waited over 25 minutes for a reservation, extremely rude servers, attempted to overcharge by $35+, total lack of attentiveness. It seems like the experience was not the norm.

I recently went here to celebrate mother's day with my family. Obviously, it was packed for brunch but the hostess recommended that we waited upstairs and take advantage of the full bar. She also made sure that our table for 6 was on the lower level to accommodate my mothers Muscular Dystrophy which was great. Upstairs, we met Matt the bartender who was super cool. He recommend pretty great drinks and informed us about how everything on the menu was local AND served a mean (strawless!) spicy bloody. Natasha was our server and she was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu. She also helped me discretely pay the bill. Not only is the venue fun and exciting, but the food was delicious, AND the staff was friendly and efficient. My family loved it. I would come back in a heartbeat. PS - try the damn muffins.

Omg! Best breakfast ever!!! My guy had the blueberry pancakes and baby red potatoes. I had the quiche Lorraine. Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had!
I got my order to go, and had the most delicious bloody Mary while I waited. Good value, too! Definitely recommend!

We were there outside of normal hours for a special wine dinner. The food and the service were AMAZING and we can't wait to go back for the regular menu! The decor is cool, lots of historic firefighting equipment, and reclaimed woodwork.
