If you are looking for a place to take your car and get any kind of work done to it .... don't take it here. Rude sarvice people. No parking smelly waiting room.. they constantly try to tell you how their technicians are top of the top buy it takes them forever to tell you what's wrong with your car. And even if they find the problem they try to blame it on someone else.

It was the best experience I have ever had. I feel like I meet everyone at the dealership. James was great. Rob and Tony really was a big help!! I can t tell y all how nervous I was to buy a new car because of past credit problems. They treated like family. All I can say is WOW! Nissan of Lumberton has a great staff. Tony helped me program my radio and Introduced me to the service department. Thank you so much. I have told everyone about my experience.

The best dealership I ve ever been to. I talk to a lot of military and military spouses about dealerships all over the country, and out of everyone we have talked to, we can say we had the best experience in purchasing a car. I got the exact car I was looking for, and was helped all day and everything that was done met my needs. If you go, definitely see the sales managers Jeffrey Hoots or Craig McLaurin. They are very nice and do everything they can do to help you to their best ability to make sure you re taken care of. I recommend 100%. You won t be disappointed! P.s if you re looking for a great family car, I just purchased the 2018 Nissan Altima SR. It s amazing!

Libra was fun, outgoing, and an amazing sales person, she also never turned us away without a car we truly liked and that was a perfect fit for us. Paul worked exteremly hard to get us what we wanted at the price we could afford. Eric makes the experience of buying a car very fun and happy. I had to replace my vehicle unexpectedly when I was in NC for the holiday and Terry Chapin found me exactly what I wanted in a very short amount of time. I was hurt honestly, I put down money on a vehicle with a trade that had been wrecked and it was in a body shop for 4-5 days but yet I am still paying for a new vehicle. At one point I had no vehicle to drive at all. Very disappointed in how I was treated by nissan.

I purchased 2 vehicles in 2014. Terry was attentive, kind and very patient. Heck, I was even in one of the local commercials. He took care of an issue that occurred with the car after we got it home. He even gave me a ride back to work in Fayetteville. Well, it is a different day. Terry Chapin is no longer there. Lakishia (2nd in charge according to her) was condescending and rude when I called 7/18/16 to inquire about a refund of gap coverage. I am not her sweetie and I am a literate fully functioning educator. She would not give her email address because "people never get it right, so I don't give it out". What kind of insane business practice is that? I will either make a road trip ( i will not be happy in this heat after that drive) or use the US mail. BOOOOOO to the new customer service at a once great place to purchase a vehicle.

Went looking for used car about two weeks ago. I asked for a list of the used cars so that I could filter through and figure out which ones meet my needs and I was told that they do not have a list of their inventory. I asked what vehicles I would qualify for based on my mileage and monthly payment criteria and they tried to put me in a one-year-old Nissan Versa. This was my only option until I pushed the salesman to show me other used vehicles (which they had 2 that met the criteria). The versa is a decent car but it s their smallest vehicle and cheapest vehicle. I was just looking to make a payment of $300 a month and be in a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles. Not only did they get the payment amount over $300 per month, they also wanted to give me a 17% interest-rate and my credit was pulled 11 times by different banks!!!!! I was able to go to a dealership in Sanford North Carolina have my credit pulled once by Ally Bank (and the dealership) and get a 2017 Nissan Altima for $256 per month and 6.2 percent interest. Not only did Sanford supply me with an online inventory that I could filter through, he also got the 12 keys of the vehicles I was interested in, and helped me through the selection process. All of these cars met my needs in terms of price and mileage. The dealership in Sanford told me that small town dealerships tend to pressure customers to purchase vehicles because they have a limited selection on their lot. So because of Lumberton Nissan s issue of a limited selection and bad area, they wanted me to get into a smaller vehicle with a higher monthly payment so that they could make a sale. If you come here be aware that these salesmen and women are not there for your best interest, only to get rid of cars that they don t find appealing on their lot. The entire time I was at the dealership, I felt like they were treating me as if I was a burden and that they weren t going to be able to make a sale with me. I guess because of the area and how many people come in that are unqualified candidates they have put up a wall with their customers where they feel like if they are not able to make money off of you they re not going to be happy that you re there. Please consider going out of the county when you purchase your vehicles.

Crooks, crooks, crooks! The service department is awful! I was told that my car needed a specific repair to pass inspection, however it was a lie and a tactic to rip me off and increase my bill. Don t get your car serviced here! If you do, make sure you get a second opinion before allowing them to rip you off.

My experience with Terry Chapin Nissan was truly one of a kind. I made the two hour trip from Charlotte to Lumberton based on a family member's referral and it was well worth the drive. I began the application process with a top notch sales specialist, Libra McCray, via phone and email. When I arrived to take delivery of the vehicle that I had chosen and been approved for, Libra informed me that it had been sold earlier in the week. I wasn't happy with the vehicle options that I was presented with, so I told Libra that I would just leave and try again later. Thankfully, Libra did not allow me to walk away that easily. She introduced me to Mr. Chapin, and he instantly took full ownership of the situation. Keep in mind that this was on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, most business owners would have probably been on the golf course, Terry took me straight to the car of my dreams! Then he spent an hour on the phone with various banks trying to secure a great deal, he even called a bank manager at home! What impressed me most about this experience is that Terry did not just stop at an approval, he allowed me to drive my car home that day and still continued to negotiate on my behalf until he secured a deal that was fair and in my best interest. I will never forget the care and attention that I received from Libra, Eugene, and Terry. These guys deserve more than 5 stars!

Everytime I call in to sched an apointment for a Saturday it has to be two or 3 weeks out to get my vehicles in. That's crazy! One of the main reasons for the purchase here was the life time maint but everytime I call I'm told you guys are so over booked. Either open up 7 day's a week to handle the flow or stop giving the free service to get people to buy if you can't back it up. I didn't spend 90k on two vehicles to wait 3 weeks for service. If that's the case I would have just bought elsewhere and paid for my own services to get it done in a timely manner!

SCAM: They have sent out a lottery flyer that is a total scam! It said we won $1,000. We honestly did not believe it so we called and asked. We asked if it is actually cash or just money towards buying a car and the girl said no come on down and you can get your prize. When we get there, they said that while we had a matching code (what we scratched revealed the numbers that are matched with a $1000 prize) our confirmation code (small numbers near our address on the flyer) did not match so we just get a scratch ticket and a vacation pamphlet.

COVID-19: Annoying because we called to clarify so the girl must have known! She also could have saved us the trouble by asking us what our confirmation code is to see if we actually won, that way we would have saved the time of driving. Also, not sure if they should be conning people into physically coming into the store when we are in a pandemic. The store had a bunch of people there and waiting in line, with no 6-feet stickers, all thinking they had won.

TWO STARS: Only gave two stars because the guy that greeted us was very nice and you could tell he knew he was gonna have to tell us we didn't win and he was hesitant. I feel like he was just doing his job but he was very nice about it and I felt like he knew that this was awkward for him and that everyone he has dealt with is annoyed. Felt bad for him having to do that all day!

I couldn't register it. 24 hours after I got it the check engine light came on. Took it back and I had to take it back two more times. Finally asked for my money back. Terrible service.

When we declined and made counter offers for the Nissan Rogue we were looking at, they kept referring to financing with Nissan to lower the monthly dues. I had no desire to finance with Nissan. So we went to Terry Chapin and were met by Scott Alex who understood our concerns and desires. He was very helpful and enthusiastic for the sale. He introduced us to Terry Chapin, which was impressive to see that even the owner cared. Overall, it was a great experience with Terry Chapin. Thank you!

This is my second review of Terry Chapin Nissan, the first is below this one. Once again, Mr. Chapin and his staff delivered awesome customer service. He and his staff continue to provide personalized care to ensure you get the vehicle you desire at a fair price. When I decided to upgrade, Terry Chapin Nissan was my first choice. Despite my wonderful experience before, in due diligence, I still researched and spoke with staff at other dealerships - no other dealership matched the level of professionalism and courteous customer service I received at Terry Chapin Nissan. I have recommended others to this dealership and will continue to do so - Mr. Chapin and his staff value their customers and go above and beyond to provide complete satisfaction.

We were looking to see a specific car for our daughter and made an appointment to see the car. Because the dealership is 45 minutes from where we live we called the dealership an hour before making the drive to make sure the car was still available. We were told that yes, the car is still available. We made the drive and they tell us that the car had already been sold. They completely wasted our time and had no disregard for doing so. All they had to do was tell us the car was sold when we called so that we wouldn't waste our time making the drive. We would not recommend this dealership.

Oil change was fine. The issue I have been having has lasted a year..I have been trying to get my 2 ND key fob since I bought my car back in 2019. First the salesman needed time to find it then never contacted me and then come to find out he no longer worked there..called on 4 occasions and spoke with service manager Dawn who said she will take care of it with my next service appointment. Well now apparently it's an issue and I still have no spare key fob. This will be my LAST experience buying a Nissan. It's very disappointing receiving this type of treatment. I am a single mother and don't have time for this.

I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy!!! I purchased a Nissan at another dealership, but because of the warranty was referred here. I was treated terrible, I believe because the vehicle was not purchased here.I think the sales department are lazy and unknowledgeable. I was given the wrong information by the service dept & was told if I didn't like what they said to go elsewhere. Well thats exactly what I did and my issue was resolved promptly. Nissan is a very good product, but if the customer service isn't good most won't return. That's not the case with Nissan of Lumberton, an excellent product with exceptional customer service.
