This dealership adds $2500 to the price of every car he sells to cover the costs of his "free oil changes for life" as well as his 200,000 mile power train warranty. It has never been taken off, not even once. They also use cheap bulk oil for the oil changes. So in reality, you're not getting anything for free and it's all worth less if he leaves Lumberton or sells to a new owner. This guy uses greed to get every penny out of every customer. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else. Don't get scammed by Terry Chapin. You'll save a ton of money.

I just bought my 2nd car from Terry Chapin Nissan in Lumberton, NC and my experience with the dealership was even more awesome than the first. I live in Charlotte, NC and didn't mind one bit making the 2-1/2 hour drive to Lumberton because I knew I would get the best deal from this dealership. Terry Chapin and his staff go out of their way to make you feel at home from the time you first walk thru their door until the time you leave. I never felt pressured into buying a car and there was no haggling back and forth. Thanks so much Terry Chapin Nissan for helping me get into another awesome car. You guys are the best!! I love my new 370Z!!

The customer service department is lacking BIG TIME! They aren't thorough...it feels like if you have a serious problem they try 2 sugarcoat the issue to get you in and out. If you have an oil change it takes forever!! Then they don't fully inspect your vehicle appropriately. My mom got the oil changed before she drove the vehicle to the mountains. They told her the tires would need inspection as well as some other things. The next 3k miles I bring it in they say the tires are fine BUT the next month or so i notice the alignment is awful. My front right tire is ate up. If I weren't taking it to discount tires I would have addressed it. My bigger issue is that I had problems with it not cranking & leaving me stranded. Thursday a week ago they tell me they ran test on the alternator, battery, & power sources ¬hings wrong...told me to take it back home and IF it happens again to call triple A 2 tow it to them. They keep it overnight and the service dept wouldnt offer a loaner. I even had to keep calling to see what problem they found. I take it home...drive it to work Friday...don't drive it all weekend & Monday morning I wake up and its dead again. I jump it take it to the dealer after work, go inside, they come out to crank it and it won't start again. I see the head manager this time and atleast I got a nice loaner. The next day i get a call at 12 saying this time the only thing they could find is the battery has a dead cell ( but 3 days ago it was perfect????) ANYWAY they replaced the battery for the 2nd time in a year and a half...its a 2017 model!!!! Platinum Armada....they're tooooooo lazy to figure out the root of the problem...I'm a single mom and I don't have time to be pacified and give the run around. I believe in being courteous but I'm straight up. I even asked for a copy of the paperwork for test ran on my vehicle both times and the excuse that he couldnt give them to me was the secretary was out of the office and they would email them. I still haven't seen an email!! But they can email me to lmk I need a state inspection (WHICH I GOT BACK IN JUNE/JULY) & fuel cleaner. This company is about getting you to buy a vehicle and leaving you hanging with the promise of free 3-4 hour oil changes for life. The need to do better is a MUST! It's not fair to honest paying customers like me who just need a smooth sail especially with a vehicle company bc life is hard enough already otherwise!!!
& another thing a customer shouldn't ever have to go without a loaner especially if they only have one ride AND IT'S IN YOUR SHOP WITH A WARRANTY ON IT (with the excuse that theyre all loaned out) && have to be dependent on others to take them to work when a dealership has a whole lot full of cars to offer! :(

Yes my oil was changed for free, however between the wait time and not having anything additionally done like car vacuuming or fluids topped off like regular oil change places do in less than 30 Minutes. Recently bought a 2013 Nissan Sentra, this is my 7th Nissan. I do not live in Lumberton but was attracted to this location by what I had heard from others who had purchased from this store since the new owner took over last summer. I will say that I was most impressed with the ease at which I was able to get just the kind of deal I wanted. The staff was friendly and the owner was actually in the store working deals. I have since had my vehicle serviced for it's first oil change and was also happy with the service dept. If you have not been to Terry Chapin Nissan, it is definitely worth the short drive from Fayetteville.

They are the worst people to purchase a car from. Worst customer service they will beat you in your head if you have no clue about buying your first car. Jeffery is very disrespectful and out of control with his mouth. I work in sales for more than 10 years plus and the way he talk to Customer he should be out of a job. The manager or as they would say gsm is horrible he doesn t return calls, he doesn t come to the phone at all. They will sell you other dealers calls make it sound like the best deal ever and then try to trade you into one of their cars. Horrible DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE AT ALL. I know have to take a trip from NYC to NORTH CAROLINA to protect my sister her credit and her car. Make sure you take your own mechanic with you to this dealership if it s a must.

It's the service AFTER the sale that makes all the difference. My wife Jessica Brown and I got a Toyota Corolla from there and while I will admit they tried multiple lenders to get me in a car that I can barely afford, it's been a horrific experience since. My car got a wash and vacuum instead of a DETAILING, and that was noted by the service individual that I spoke to when I brought my car in with a problem with the key being stuck. I have asked repeatedly about a price for a keyless entry remote for a car that I thought should have had one to begin with, and was promised a call from a manager regarding such, that I didn't get, but I digress. My tags were also lost after I had them taken off my old car. They sat on a desk, for almost a month, and because they had not been processed at DMV they have been lost. I just feel they worked REALLY hard to get someone who had, honestly, only fair credit, into a car, and then once they made the sale, their job was done and they didn't have to do anything else. Very, VERY dissapointed. I will NEVER buy a car from them again, and will NOT recommend them to anyone else regardless of the 500 dollar referral bonus.

I went in searching for a vehicle specifically a pick up I've wanted one for about 20 yrs, initially the feedback made me believe I'd better walk cause they can't help me with my credit score. I am pleasantly pleased, surprised and thankful. This dealership showed me something I had not seen in all the years I've bought cars. There was no pressure, they don't try to sell you what you don't want, ok maybe you need to be flexible on color options etc but otherwise they don't send you home with vehicle only to tell you a week later bring it back, they seem pretty sincere and honest for a dealership and I gave them 5 stars for the overall way I was treated greeted and taken care of. Only negative comment is they are so slow sometimes though they are super busy when you see salesmen running and multi-tasking that says they might need more salesmen. Very satisfied thank you Kieth, Randy, Paul and the staff at Nissan of Lumberton even the gentleman with the black Army hat, for proving me wrong. Me n my Nissan Frontier couldn't be happier.

Rental department is a joke!!! My car has been there for a week and still nothing. Not the service department s fault since there waiting on parts to come in. But sure would be nice to have a rental since my warranty is paying for one. But Finally after a few days after calling over and over they have one come available Friday afternoon and could pick it up Saturday morning. Was told NO deductible. Just come by Saturday morning. Came Saturday morning and no one has a glue what s going on. Now there s a $200 deductible now all of a sudden. It s the weekend so no one can get up with the person who s set all this up. Was told there s nothing they can do. I call back Monday hoping to talk to that same person I talked to Friday but still not there. Tried to explain to them but I guess no one there in the rental department knows anything about anything. now there s no rental available. So frustrating!!!!
