Front staff great. Rooms clean. The bad..... could use more sound proofing in rooms, tea / coffee / shampoo etc. not restocked when room made up. Water pressure is terrible, Shower drops to a trickle several times during use. The lounge service is abysmal. The lady at the bar was ignorant, the service is incredibly slow due to being understaffed. The pool is too small for the size of the hotel, always over crowded. Both our TV remotes were broken and had to pound the buttons to get them to work. Needless to say this is my first and last stay at this hotel.

This review is specifically for the executive lounge. I am a Hilton Diamond member and have been for years. I work nationally in the USA and spend 75% of my year staying at various Hilton brand hotels. This trip was a vacation with my family. After my wife and son entered the executive lounge for a light snack, we immediately blocked from the refreshment bar by the hostess who asked what room we were staying in. I gave her my room number. And that was that I thought. I sat down and watched if she did this others and she seemed to be selective only asking those who were not "white" the "what is your room #" question. Several guests who were Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern were asked, but white males and females were not asked what room # they were staying in. How sad to think that this particular employee who herself is not "white" was profiling their guests. This is completely unacceptable and should be looked into by management.
Very clean. Spatious suites. Good location. Around 10-15 minutes away from popular destinations such as Downtown, Fishman Lobster Clubhouse, Pacific Mall, and various restaurants. Hotel also has a swimming pool and a gym.
My husband and I held our wedding there! Staff was more than helpful. They even left us a platter of fruits, macarons, and lots of vouchers to use! Very professional all the way through :). Thank you!
Nice hotel. I would have given it a 5 stars if it s not because of the pool. Apparently, half of the pool is rented out to a swimming school. These people will harass you and question your right as hotel guests to use the pool. Stay away from the pool.
The only reason a star is missing is that the room service never picked up the phone... I went there to get a good night sleep before a race the next morning and the fire alarm went off in the building, 3 times, keeping us awake till way past 9 p.m.... it's not the fault of the hotel but.. yeah... rooms are clean and big. Service is courteous.
Convenient meeting place, with plenty of parking. Nice lounge space as well as tables for meetings, and of course restaurants as well. Typical fare for a hotel.
Thank you Catherine the assistant Manager and the front desk staff lady at night who were able to honour what was initially promised to me. I believe their booking staff and Ms. Rahaman, Morning manager, should be provided with more training on booking at rate promised to guest on the phone and handling dissatisfied guests. Unfortunately I checked out after the first night even though I had wanted to extend my stay for at least another night and possibly 2 nights. My 5 star is for the room, location and Ms Catherine s excellent work.
PROS: Nice, well-kept property. Clean, well appointed rooms. Helpful, accommodating staff. Nice health club. We had a noisy/drinking/uncontrolled kids group of guests surrounding our room. (can't blame the hotel for rude guests). They tried to make it right with us in a manner I would expect from a Hilton. Thumbs up.
CONS: Atrium can be noisy. Rooms (all floors) that are near the centre atrium might as well be directly opening to a bar. A building design flaw. Doors separating the room halls would help. Only an issue if the lounge were rowdy (a rarity, I suspect). Just ask for a room down the hall. Double bed rooms have these small micro-doubles. Not great for two to share (very cozy!)
I was at the form and function therapy and the service was great. I was informed of information regarding orthodics. The employees were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are very clean and modern. We enjoyed the pool even though it was a bit crowded. Very courteous staff and quick response time on maintenance staff.
We officially checked in Friday May 10 2019 however paid early check in May 9 2019 being that our flight was arriving at 6am Friday( May 10) once we checked in, they put us in the wrong room, when we reserved a king size bed not two full size beds. We called the front desk to let her know the mix up, and we were told our room wasn t ready that s the reason for the mix up. Once we were put inside the room we reserved, housekeeping did a horrible job. There were peanuts on the floor, I went to take a bath and the bath stopper was completely broke, I stubbed my toe and started bleeding, when I called down to let the front desk know, it took two hours for maintenance to come up. I went to complain at the front desk to the manager but she wasn t available. They gave me her card and I left numerous messages and she has not return my call. I always book at Hilton s and this is the first time I ve had a horrible experience. It was my husband birthday and my first Mother s day and I m sad to say that this ruined our trip.
I enjoyed the the brunch here this past Sunday, which includes a selection of juices and coffee. The buffet food selection had quite a few items to try, including a station to cook your eggs to order. My first round I tried the chicken in a cherry sauce, organic greens, fish in a lobster cream sauce and steamed mussels. My second round, I tried the prime rib, one egg over easy and sauced zucchini. My third round, I dived into some steamed crab legs. For dessert, I had a vanilla mousse with mango puree & raspberries and a mini strudel with apples. All the food was good, but I was not wowed. The service was very good, at no point did we have dirty dishes sitting on our table for more than a minute or two. The live entertainment was the perfect backdrop to the setting and not too loud.
My company had a winter holiday party at Donald Cousens conference room. It was a nice place to party. The service was excellent. It was a great experience.
I literally saw three small bugs on the bed sheet and the pillow...so disgusting. The water pressure of the shower was not stable and there was a weird sound coming out of the shower.
The accommodations were great and the lunch we enjoyed at the conference was delicious. However, we waited quite some time to be served at breakfast on our second day so we left and went to a neighbouring cafe instead.
KEEP AN EYE ON ALL YOUR RECEIPTS. OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED !!! **BEWARE OF CRIMINAL EMPLOYEES** My and my fiance made the mistake of trusting the word of "The Hilton" in Markham by warden and 7, when the front desk girl told us the $200.00 charge on my credit card was reversed.
At check in my credit card was charged $200.00, at checkout; because I only had $200.00 available on my credit card, I wanted to pay the balance in cash, but was told I couldn't pay the balance in cash, they only used the credit card for the hold and I had to pay the full balance, I proceeded to pay the full thing in cash and was told the charge on my credit card would be reversed.
we left and waited 3 days for the charge to be reversed, contacted my credit card company was told there was no reversal, so i proceeded to call the Hilton and was told it takes 3-5 business days. So I waited. 5 business days and nothing, so I called them again and was told it can take up to 10 business days, after 10 days I called my credit card company and was told the same thing there's no reversal it was reflecting as a charge. I contacted the Hilton, Furious at this point. They said they would have to do an investigation.
The next day the front desk manager had told me the receipt shows only a charge for $200.00 on my credit card and the rest paid in cash. Accounting went through the finances and did not find a surplus of $200.00 cash.
THAT MEANS THE GIRL AT THE FRONT DESK LIED TO ME , FALSIFIED THE RECEIPT AND SCAMMED ME FOR $200.
