I called for follow-up with a plumbing claim and Chris Tyner was extremely helpful. He was very thorough as far as explaining some clarifying questions I had about the plumbing claim. He provided me with a specific number for the claim. I had questions about my home warranty, he provided concise and helpful information. He was extremely polite and patient. His demeanor toward me was of someone willing to inform me on my warranty and what it all meant. I am very thankful he was the person that answered my call. Thank you Chris.

I truly believe there are good companies and good people in this world and Chris Pepperling and EFG are just that. My transmission went out at the very end of my warranty (miles), without me knowing it was failing for a while. I was having some back and forth because of the miles and the coverage but Chris stepped into the middle of it and made it right. At first it was not going to be covered but Chris made it happen and now my transmission will be replaced under warranty. In good faith Chris made this happen and I can't express enough how appreciative my family and I are for this. Thank you so much. I will for sure be getting another EFG warranty on my next car purchase down the road.

I have worked with Joe Blakley and Jim Burock for the past couple years. I have nothing but great things to say about these guys and the EFG company. These are a couple of the best extended warranty claims adjusters I have ever worked with. Anytime I call into them I'm helped right away and they are very friendly. They understand that customers want to get their cars back on the road ASAP and will help me in any way to make that happen. Joe and Jim will get most repairs approved same day as I call. When there are large repairs needed it may take an extra day to have an inspection done. But, they will do anything in their power to get approvals as soon as possible so my techs can get working on my customers cars. I have never had an issue with getting repairs covered by EFG companies. I would recommend EFG to anyone thinking about buying an extended warranty contract.

Then I told them I contacted Chris Pepperling from my Warranty company EFG, he says they will cover the issue. Once Chris Pepperling spoke with the dealership, they couldn't explain why they charged so many hours. I have the dealership explaining to the Better Business Bureau now. Try to assist the customers we are assisting to the best of their abilities everytime. When asked my my loyal customers over the years what warranty company to contact I recommended EFG everytime. Keep up the good service. Chris Riecherts was the last person I had the pleasure of speaking with to assist me for my last claim.

Absolutely the worse experience I've had with an after market contract. Car is still in shop after a week while they decide if they are going to honor my claim. It's either covered or not covered. No one yet has contacted the dealership. All we keep getting is that they will call the dealership, we called the dealership and they are stating no one has called them to let them know if it's ok to proceed with the repairs. Still without a vehicle. Don't waste your time with this provider.

So glad I tacked this on to my loan w/ San Francisco Federal Credit Union when i purchased a (lousy) replacement vehicle--Chrysler! Transmission defective at about 20K miles and only 3 years old! Back doors stop working one month after factory warranty ended....as always. But EFG and good ole Texas Paul (& Kelly) really pulled for me so i would not be without a car. Not only did they help me, but they came through for the 100s of families i am feeding during this pandemic. I would HIGHLY recommend this product and company, Hands Down!!! Very bad company for extended warranty. please don't buy this warranty. they are fraud. i got this extended warranty 3-4 years back for my Audi. paid premium price for platinum package. never claimed any thing but recently my central locking system started malfunctioning so i took it to Audi dealer. when dealer called for claim they want to pay less than 50% of amount and asking me to pay rest. its 6-7 times my deductible. when i called EFG, they said i have to get it repaired out side Audi dealer, i tried multiple placeses but no mechanic was able to fix it. EFG told me to go AAMCO and they couldn't fix it either, they told me only Audi dealer can fix it. EFG says they will only cover part of Audi dealers estimate because Audi has higher $/hr labour rate and their parts are more expensive. my contract says i can get repaired anywhere i want and they should cover it. i have talked to manager in EFG but don't care. very rude staff.

As a shop owner and service writer, I have dealt with a lot of warranty companies over the years. This is by far the worst aftermarket warranty company I have ever dealt with. I started a claim for a customer with a clear engine mechanical failure. I have never seen a company spend more time and effort to not cover a failure than this one. Not only that, they would avoid my calls and never call me back after multiple voicemail's. I always had to call and try and find out by getting a live human on the phone instead of a voicemail. So I call back today 1-20-16 to find out what the deal is on this truck after it has sat apart for 3 weeks, and I find out that they called the customer on the 14th to tell him no. I never received a call! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WARRANTY!!!! Buy Ford ESP only! Ford ESP is a no hassle company that the primary goal is to take care of the customer.

My EFG tire and wheel protection is useless and does not benefit me at all. The exclusions cancel out the protections and coverage. Be weary of this insurance coverage. Not only is this insurance plan useless, the customer service is horrible. I did not even feel like I was their client. Remember who pays your salary, the customers who purchase this crappy insurance.!!!!!

I'm four years into a five year extended warranty and I have had to use the coverage numerous times now on my G6. The first several claims went through without any issues. The latest one, however, took much longer than anticipated due to needing an adjuster. Overall, I would still recommend the coverage to a friend and will more than likely purchase again for a future car.

I originally gave my review a one star review after some questionable events that took place during my claim. I received a call from Chris Pepperlin who personally apologized for the sequence of events that took place. A lot of the blame was on the dealership who doesn t answer their calls promptly or return calls from voicemails. This caused additional time and frustration.
However Nonetheless, it ultimately doesn t matter whose fault it is but that the situation gets resolved. Chris made a point to reach out to me and listen to my concerns and address them immediately. He repeatedly kept in contact with me and I received several calls throughout the week with updates and even authorized additional rental car coverage while my vehicle was being repaired due to a back order part. I don t typically leave five star reviews as I feel that you need to go above and beyond the services but in this case I will do so because I feel Chris truly felt he wanted to help. I wish to thank him for his professionalism and his prompt attention to my claim. I would recommend this warranty program to anyone that has the opportunity to purchase it. Again, Thank you Chris for your prompt attention. I will be picking up my truck this afternoon after the dealership washes my truck!

The policy I had with them was an absolute joke. My truck was at the shop for a month on repairs that should not have taken a month to fix. The reason it took so long is because EFG slow plays every step of the process. Not only was my truck down a month because of them slow playing everything I was out of pocket on rental car because they refused to pay for more than 10 days and it was a hassle just to get 10 days originally it was only 5. I would be on hold for long periods of time and when I would finally speak with someone they were rude. I asked to speak to a manager multiple times finally got transferred to someone who supposedly was only to find out that she was not a manager either. Not only do they take forever on repairs they find the worst parts possible to fix the issues. They replaced my motor with a used motor that needed repairs before being installed and then that motor went out roughly 7 months down the road. If you are considering any type of warranty I would recommend staying clear of this company its nothing but a hassle.

This is regarding Gap insurance. Every EFG employee that I speak to gives me different information on what is needed to begin the process. All documents were faxed I called in to assure that all documents were received I was informed that everything would be settled in 10-14 business days. Two weeks later I receive an e-mail stating that my loan contract (I faxed this prior) is still needed, as well a complete payment schedule (also faxed this prior). This process has been hectic and tedious to say the least.

I've used my extended warranty on several occasions for repairs on my 07 Lexus. All of the repairs have been covered subject to the deductible I chose upon purchasing aftermarket with 28K on vehicle. I would certainly purchase another from EFG rather than the outrageously priced warranties offered by dealers for basically the same coverage. Even the dealer associates were impressed with EFG and the claim being approved in a timely manner. Thanks EFG for the coverage.....

Don't ever buy an extended warranty through them. Useless customer service (downright rude and start shouting). Won't cover any repairs and will do *everything* they can to wiggle out of paying anything.

EFG Companies hires 3rd party marketing companies ...

EFG Companies hires 3rd party marketing companies which use illegal Robocalls to obtain customers. The President John Pappanastos is fully aware of this and has given his approval. I have received these robocalls and when I complained I was contacted by their fixer Scott Knapp who has 10 years with the company and is a seasoned liar. His job is to act concerned about this issue. He will start his investigation by asking for detailed information. Don t waste any of your time with Mr. Knapp, I sent him detailed info on the calls I received and he just kept asking for more info. Don t go down that rabbit hole with him, he is fully aware that any marketing company that EFG hires is not calling potential customers back one call at a time. However I must give him credit, he could have made it in Hollywood the way he pretends to act shocked about this Robocall issue. The only thing that will stop these illegal Robocalls will probably be a million dollar class action lawsuit. Until then Mr. Pappanastos and his henchman Scott Knapp will keep raking in the money. Also, just in case either one of them decides to give a smart reply to this message. Mr. Pappanastos and Mr. Knapp please list here for all the public to see the names, phone numbers and addresses of all the companies that market on your behalf. Mr. Knapp definitely didn t want to give me that information when I requested it, you guys should be proud of your association with these shady marketing companies.

I talked to Chris and he was very helpful and listened to my problems. It was nice to talk to someone who actually listened. After hearing my whole ordeal they were able to refund the total amount as I was sold some thing that was not what described to me even though they were not the ones who sold it to me. When talking to him I actually did feel like this company values thier customers and go out of thier way to make things right. Thank you Chris for being so wonderful and making me feel like I wasn't just another angry customer that did not matter!
The only reason I even put 1 star is because 0 is not an option. I purchased this extended warranty on my 2011 Kia sorento in February of 2015. I was told it was a bumper to bumper warranty that if anything broke not due to negligence or normal wear and tear it would be covered. I never used the warranty until August of this year(2017). I took it to the service department from where I bought it. My gas door release button on my door wasn't working, my stereo controls on my steering wheel were not working, the weather stripping on my 2 back passenger doors had come off, and my back passenger window control was not functioning properly it could be rolled down from the back window control but not rolled back up it could only be rolled up from the master control. I went there expecting that only a few of the things would be covered atleast the gas door and the window but it turned out they weren't covering any of it. This company found a loop hole to get out of every issue, because it was only the switch on the gas release,and because it wasn't the motor in the window. So after calling the warranty company and getting nothing we chose to cancel the warranty. The guy at the dealership told us that warranties on cars over 35,000 miles really aren't worth it. After waiting 2 months to get the refund, the amount that I was refunded was only 1600 dollars and I paid 3000. If I had used the warranty or it did anything for me then I would be ok with paying for the time I had it but it didn't do anything for me so why am I paying 1400 dollars for something that when I needed it decided that my issues weren't covered. When I called efg companies to discuss my issues the lady I talked to told me that there was nothing that could be done about it, that they were there for me during that time, I asked to speak to a manager 3 times before I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then the same lady came back on the phone and asked if I would like to keep holding or if I would like to leave my name and phone number and get a call back. That was a week ago I still have not heard anything back so I highly suggest you make sure that the warranty you are getting covers everything so that you don't end up paying 1400 dollars for nothing.

Working with warranty companies is not always easy, let me tell you, I am so impressed with how Blake handled my claim for my client, I cannot say good enough things. Absolutely worst experience of my life. Do not go with this company if you value your time or your money. Our engine failure was covered by the warranty. The VW shop technician that is working on our car and has been in contact with us every step of the way, has continued to contact EFG USA Extended warranty -- and said he's been working in the industry for 43+ years and has never had so much difficulty getting in touch with an extended warranty company -- and the responses back have been delayed and inconsistent. Our car would have been in the shop for no longer than 2 weeks if we had gone with a different company, however because of their negligence we are going on week 3 with no end in sight. Further, I was told that they would cover the cost of the rental car since this is our ONLY vehicle, however after already renting the car for 2 weeks, when I called back again I am getting a different answer -- which is a difference of hundreds of dollars, and we would have done something different had we gotten accurate information initially. We have been lied to, neglected, and will be pursuing legal charges against this company. Best of luck to you if your extended warranty is covered by them, but I would highly recommend switching to another company and never doing business with these thieves again.

Dropped off my car 7 business days ago and Service...

Dropped off my car 7 business days ago and Service Manager contacted EFG on Tuesday (week ago yesterday). EFG was supposed to get back in touch with him on Wednesday (week ago today). By end of business on Thursday, no response. On Friday, he contacted me to ask me to contact EFG or to come get my car. After speaking with Amanda and then her supervisor, Jessica (Ext 8312) on Friday afternoon, they contacted my dealership to say they'd send someone out Monday to inspect the vehicle (assume to verify what needs repaired). At the end of the day Monday, I contacted my Service Manager and he said they (EFG) were supposed to get back with him on Tuesday (yesterday). On Tuesday, I was informed that the EFG Warranty Administrator would contact the dealership tomorrow (i.e. today). After my dealership emailing and leaving two phone messages, we still haven't heard from EFG today (in excess of the 48 hours you would expect as a maximum). The dealership has requested I contact EFG as the consumer; as such, I left voicemails .... I honestly don't think they even pick up the phone as I have yet to speak to a real person with the exception of a receptionist and some guy in I.T. when I input the incorrect extension ... it seems like they just don't want to even deal with the consumer. As I've never used an extended warranty company before (not even for a toaster at Walmart), maybe I'm expecting too much from EFG. In my business, you keep an open like of communication with your client (and their subcontractors) or you risk failure. Maybe I'm doing business wrong ....

Would not recommend this policy. The mechanic and I were both amazed that the claims I submitted were not covered even though I purchased the most expensive of the policies. The coverage can be misleading and is slanted in favor of the company.

Customer Service So far so good. My Range Rover has been in the shop for repair for about a month. Its a very stressful time for me with my mom very ill and now the Sonoma Napa valley fires there's been so much loss. EFG has answered all of my calls and addressed all of my concerns so far. The customer service has been excellent. Anytime I call during business hours I get a live person. I know I'm jumping the gun on a review being that my car has not been repaired or paid for, but I would call this "Part One Customer Service Review" because this kind of service these days goes along ways. I went in for a simple oil change and was soon told of other problems they discovered. Thankfully a bill that was going to be almost $900.00 ended up just a little over $300. Still much more than originally expected but happy my car was safe and it was a little easier to handle.
