The room (two queen size beds) was VERY SMALL. The beds were against the walls, with less then two feet between them. The picture on the web site showed a much bigger room. It was difficult for two women to move around. there was very little draw or counter space. HOWEVER the staff was TERRIFIC. A special thanks to Josie, Todd, Sal and Adam.

Arrived after a long day of travel and was immediately felt welcome by Thomas. A warm delectable cookie also helped. Room was very clean, and had all the usual amenities. 5/5

Value for money considering NYC is an expensive city. Small space but sufficient for a good night's sleep. Most importantly it's walking distance to the main happenings.

A very pleasant and welcoming hotel... The staff very engaging and polite, the restaurant for breakfast is spacious and well stocked. The concerns that we had heard/read regarding the elevators seems to us to be unfounded alongside the size of the rooms... Very little waiting time on the elevators max 5 mins to the 21 floor.. The room is cosy, granted not massive but suits our needs very well.. Sleep/shower and plan our day.. What more do you need after all we are visiting NYC!!!

Nice hotel and great location/distance from time square

Excellent hotel, when you arrive you are welcomed with a welcome cookie. The location 10/10, is close to everything. It has 2 PC's with printer that you can use for free, on each floor there is an ice vending machine and the reception works 24 hours a day. Recommended for tourists 10/10 quality price

Easy access from the Lincoln tunnel and Times Square. Perfect if you want to hit Broadway. Five star service, if you don't mind a small room.

I realize that there are some things that management just can't control, but when I saw this sign I should have just left and gone someplace else.

In better news, the room has a 55" TV.

Rooms was too small! I had to take the stairs all the time because the is only 2 elevators for a 26 floor building and staff use the same elevator! Last day after wait 20 minutes for the elevator had to bring all the bags from the stairs!We asked for a breakfast on the room but never got that!And the towels weren t clean properly! Overall, it s a good location, but I don t recommend for anybody!

Overall a good hotel. Free printing was great, room was nice. However when I was there, there were issues with both elevators resulting in a very difficult stay where I had to take the stairs many times. Luckily I was only on the 7th floor. But location was very good too, lots of things nearby.

Dirty, pet hair on bed skirts, room fridge and floor ice machines didn't work. Poor service in overall. Wouldn't recommend.

Everything was fantastic except the hallways smelt like an old locker room for a vast period of time.

It has very nice staff and decent rooms but the elevators are awful and take forever... There are way to many other hotel in New York... Stay at a different place.

Small rooms......problems with the room keys and room service

Comfortable bed, nice bath. Room is very small. Construction next door is loud too. Great location and walking distance to times Square, Central Park, 30 rock, and subway to get downtown.

We stayed 5 days in this tree. Hotel in convenient acquisition, even if the rooms are a bit small, but normally for n.y.
The staff is very kind and the breakfast included in the price is excellent.

Nice location near Times Square (3 blocks, easy walk), warm cookies, friendly staff. Rooms are somewhat small, but you're in NYC afterall; however they were very adequate for a short trip! Parking is self-park at nearby lot.

I had a good time. Worth a mention: outside is kind of sucky though because of all the temporary construction and the nearby garage of food carts. Just be cognitive of those facts when you arrive.

Trying to check in with music blasting was unpleasant. Neighborhood is pretty lousy. Very noisy housekeeping staff woke me up very early knocking on doors and conversing with each other. Not one bottle of water. Bed blocks window so you have to get on bed to close curtains. Expensive for neighborhood, accommodations and staff. Room was clean.

Amazing hotel. They make you feel like if you were in a 5 star hotel. Employees are awesome. Location is great. Price is ok for the location. They don't include breakfast (which they could do at least a basic one) so you don't have to leave the hotel and search for a place where to have it. Anyway it's not too expensive. It is $12,99 + tax

The staff was awesome. The BED BUGS were awful. The customer service was the worst when it came to trying to fix the situation

I stayed here for two nights with my family in the summer of 2013. The room was pretty small and the hotel was pretty basic... not a lot of frills, but they were friendly and most importantly; the hotel was VERY CLEAN... not something I expect when I come to a hotel in Manhattan. A very brief walk to Times Square, Empire State Building, Central Park, etc. If you're looking for a hotel around $200/under and you're afraid that spending less money means living in a cockroach infested craphole. you'll be pleasantly surprised. There isn't any hotel parking, but you get a discounted rate at the parking garage across the street. about 50 yards down.

The Hotel is undergoing renovations, which influenced the functionality of the rooms. However, there was great service and you could tell that they are trying their best. Would recommend for sure!

Staff lovely hotel not so good was supposed to have a queen room with view and refrigerator double bed in room no water for 3 mornings due to high demand moved to King room with no view hotel very dated beds very comfortable though and as I said staff very good

Never Again. Tiny, outdated rooms. Refrigerator stopped working, there goes $40 worth of food and drink. A/C barely worked, adjusting the thermostat did nothing. The shower drenched the bathroom floor. The elevators are too small for the amount of guests. We waited 20 minutes for the elevator to finally stop on our floor. We would press the button and it would skip our floor over and over as it brought guests back and forth. The luggage attendants were great, as was the concierge. The front desk was less than helpful. Will never stay here again and definitely not recommend it.

Good location, good prices, nice and clean rooms. The only flaw is that the wireless network and the television signal are always in fits and starts. You don't die for this, but a hotel I think should take this into account.

The location was perfect in my opinion. 5 min around the corner from the trains and Time Square. The front desk easily helped me locate closest stores and necessities of interest. They were always alert and eager to help out. Very pleased!

The service was good but the rooms are definitely showing their age. My room had a soap dish in the bathroom that was barely attached to the wall among other wear and tear items.

I want to give this hotel a fair review, but I want consumers to know the truth as well. My family members and I spent four nights in this hotel in April of 2018. The hotel is in a great location in Manhattan! We loved how the location made it easy for us to see NYC and it's attractions. The staff were truly wonderful, they were always attentive and helpful. They offered free cookies anytime you asked, including gluten free cookies. My family and I loved that. Kudos to the great staff! The building itself was a little run down. The rooms are very small, which I guess is the norm in Manhattan. But be prepared for that, if you are accustomed to more spacious accommodations. One of our rooms had a slight unpleasant odor the whole time we were there, maybe a past pet odor. The other room was fine. The room service ladies worked hard, and the place was clean enough. The most unpleasant thing was not the fault of the hotel or its employees. There are a couple of larger construction projects next to and across from this hotel. This caused a lot of noise at night and in the early morning, which made it hard to sleep at times. I'm giving them four stars because I think their employees are doing their best with what they have. I might suggest that you ask for a room that is not on the street, because of the noise issue.

Wonderful and friendly staff. Very affordable considering its in a prime time square area. Would definitely recommend it and will stay here again.

Not great for business travel. The WiFi was extremely slow and disconnected often.

Booked this hotel for a week long stay in New York. Myself and my partner arrived around 9pm. The hotel sold our room to someone else because we arrived to late . This Meant the hotel was fully booked. The receptionists didn t help in any way. We had to find ourselves another hotel.
Really ruined our holiday.

Staff need training definitely. We checked in after 10 pm and were greeted by a Hogwarts front desk person who mumbled something and asked me sternly to wait after taking over five minutes to check in a young seemingly agitated guest. She had a proctor walk us to the room and open it as the door access key activating machine was broken. She asked me to come down and get the keys in the morning. I requested a late check out being a diamond member and she started at 1pm and ended at 2. Marriott platinums get a 4pm late checkout. Rooms are small for the price; definitely avoid.

The location was nice. Easy layout. Rooms are a bit small. The bed wasn't great. Place was clean. Eat check in.

We arrived at 5am, we left our bags and walked around, making time for the 4pm check in. We walked back in at 12pm, we asked at the front desk if our room was available, and they said "It only needs to be inspected, give me about 30 min". We waited in the lobby, at 3pm, I asked for the third time about our room. After we saw a group arrive, asked the same question as us, checked in and went straight up to their rooms. *Shoutout to Rosa, who went up to inspect the room herself, since no one was acknoledging us.* At 4pm, we waited for the elevator, since there was only one working and everyone was taking turns in the SMALL working one. Aside from the horrible guest service(Rosa not included), and the stuffy broke down elevators, everything else meets standarts.

This was my first visit to New York & first stay at the double tree it was nice all the staff was really nice and helpful... We loved Nisha & Adam they took good care of us. Nisha isn't direct staff for the hotel but works there to sale city passes which she great at. She was very helpful & friendly for our needs. She was so sweet we loved her. I would stay there again I just wish they had a pool as I was there with teenagers that wanted to swim but overall we enjoyed & the cookies was definitely a plus. We loved them. The rooms was small but cleaned well everyday.. Also there was transportation available at all times at the hotel for a fee

The rooms are small, but the bathroom is huge and newly remodeled and the front desk staff is extremely friendly! There is also a small bar and restaurant in the lobby and a gym in the building. We really enjoyed our stay, and of course the cookies!

Very unsatisfied. Tiny room - expect a very small dorm like room (in 70-80s style) with over $200 spending. All the elevators were not working properly. Had to take the stairs with my big luggage to/from 25th floor. Asked the staff and it seems this problem has happened it before. In addition, the cup at the restaurant had a red lipstick stain on it - not even clean. Can't believe this property has Hilton mark on it.

There is a lack of cleanliness a bit. On one day forgot new towels interpreted .. After consultation, only one was in stock. To stay in NYC it is ok. Staff is friendly.

While I was only here for a few hours, I was blown away by the kindness of the staff and the simplicity, yet absolutely gracefulness of the hotel.

upon arrival i was asked for a deposit which was not mentioned when i booked on booking.com the front desk staff initially meant 20% of the amount of my reservation then a few minutes later without to know why we went to 25% obligatorily by credit card. I specify that at this date (one month after), the deposit has not been returned to me yet. for the room, I wanted to pay in cash, a superior told this employee that the cash payments are at the Check out . (and yes sir I understand very well English) I saw the head of the employee to decompose and went to lock up 5 good minutes with his boss (surely to negotiate that I pay right now for fear that I run away without paying since I AM BLACK)

We stayed at this hotel for the rate, which was $296 with advance purchase. The hotel is very nice and is a 10 minute walk to times square and a 5 minute walk to Macy's. Good location, but the North end of Times Square would have been a better place to stay to access 5th Ave and Central Park activities. Our room was on the 26th floor and was VERY SMALL. Pretty much just a bed, no extra seating. I am not sure what the other rooms look like on lower floors but would definitely ask. Other than that, the customer service was fantastic and they have a pre-arranged transportation to and from the airport. Flat rate of $55.

The staff was friendly enough, but the room was dirty (old popcorn on the floor) and the ice bucket was filled with water from I'm guessing several visits ago. But worse of all, the door has about a full inch gap under it so you can hear _everything_ outside your room. The only redeeming feature was that the bathroom was reasonably nice. I will not be staying here again.

My refrigerator wasn't working at midnight. They had a replacement brought up within 10 minutes. Great stay.

We were on business in this hotel a few nights. The room had a backyard window. As a result, it was dark throughout the day in the room and you always needed light. My room was so tiny that I always had to do my suitcase to get to the bed. The only advantage of this hotel is that it is very centrally located. Private I would never stay at this hotel.

It is not Time Square....The size of the rooms are pokey - you could not swing a cat. The building is tired and rundown. There is a coffee maker in each room but no kettle - so if you drink tea you can have tepid tea. I wanted a small jug of fresh milk - $4. I'm afraid that this is my second poor Hilton experience and have concluded that Hilton are tired and overpriced... Going to try elsewhere in future.

I am APPALLED as to how I was treated during my stay here. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

I was placed in a room that had BED BUGS. We checked in very late around 2:30am because I'm not from NYC. We were placed in front of a hotel that was being constructed so I got no sleep.

I wake up to bumps all over my face. I start to scratch by back and that's when I knew, I was getting bites from something. I jumped out of bed AND SAW IT CRAWLING ON THE BED. I quickly killed it and looked at my face/body. I had bite marks all over my neck, face, and back.

The customer service was horrendous, they had someone come up to my room to examine it, but DID NOTHING. They did not move me into another room right away. They did not walk me to another hotel.

Customer service was called, but its like they were talking in circles, they did not want to help me. I was supposed to stay 3 nights there. We left the hotel room and finally after 1pm, we were placed in another room.

The next day, THERE WAS NO RUNNING WATER. I don't know why we thought customer service would help us, because they are clearly incompetant and refused to give us a refund for our entire stay.

We checked out that morning and went to another hotel.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Would stay there again. Make sure to test hot water. Took full 10 minutes to get shower warm enough to get in.

We weren't quite familiar with the "New York Standard", otherwise the whole hotel would certainly not have surprised us so negatively ...
The rooms are mega small - the pictures on the Internet (especially from their side) were then probably photographed with a fisheye lens or something similar.
Everything cramped and very shabby ...

So we asked for allergy-free bed linen when we made our booking and that was apparently not passed on - instead of being fixed quickly and easily as a good service provider, my husband and I had to go to reception several times and ask. In the end, the staff informed us that they didn't have any more sheets ... No further solution was looked for, so it was carried out completely on our backs and the new blankets only came the next day. We would have loved to go to a new hotel, but we wanted to spare my older mother the stress.

Not to be entirely negative - the cookies were tasty and the location was great.

Nice hotel for a quick trip to New York. Times Square is about 5 minutes walk away. Subway is also around the corner.
Rooms are older but ok.
On the positive side, I would like to emphasize that we have been offered another quieter room after pointing out that the construction site across the street is very noisy.
