Unfortunate I ended up here, outside of my control. Small small small rooms, 10th floor is right next to a balcony, no sense of privacy. Better off at a Holiday inn if your going to stay at this kind of hotel. This one pic is the whole room.... Struggling to open the ironing board to iron my shirt in this place.

One of the saddest breakfasts. Pick your patatos with tongs and a toaster that throws your bread to the floor.

By all the research I have done, this hotel is not really in Times Square. It is south of Times Square. The name of this hotel recently confused my travel agent when I wanted a reservation in the actual Doubletree Times Square. The travel agent's mistake, which was partially caused by the similar name of this hotel, cost me $947. Thanks Hilton. I've been giving my business to Marriott ever since.

Rooms were NY small and elevator was so slow and teeny which is why I can't give it a full 5, but the staff was really nice and responsive. Rooms were clean! It's a good location close to time square

One of my luggage was stolen at Hilton DoubleTree (this hotel) and both the hotel management team and the hotel's insurance carrier (Liberty Mutual Insurance) have been very unresponsive. I have reached out to the hotel management team and the Insurance adjuster assigned to handle the claim multiple times with no response.

When I arrived at the hotel in the morning, I gave the hotel staff my suitcases (four) to store until my hotel room was ready - then I went out for lunch. When I returned and asked for my bags, I was informed that one of my suitcase (that has all my personal documents and valuables) was missing.

This is incident occurred 3+ months ago and I am quite disappointment at the overall experience/response rate from such a credible hotel. I am in the process of securing a lawyer to handle this case and will escalate on all social media platform until it has been resolved.

Excellent hotel. Small, but clean and the beds were comfortable. Close to Macy's and Times Square as well as Penn Station. Would recommend to anyone. The staff were very accomodating and friendly.

Super friendly till they have your money but very rude after. When I had a simple question about modifying my reservation I was told it will not be a problem as I'd purchased a refundable rate room, but I'd have to speak to a manager after 2PM. I checked out and when I contacted the manager after 2PM I was told I'd have to pay a nights stay penalty for the modification.

A bit dated but in a convenient location on 36th Street and close to 9th Avenue. Elevator was faster than expected. Every time I requested the elevator it came quickly and not overly crowded.

Worst hotel stay... Surprised this is a Hilton. No water in the rooms, no way to get any extra supplies if you need anything. Called down for a toothbrush and toothpaste and they just never came... So we passed out... In the morning I was parched, no water in the room, can't bring anything up to you, you have to go downstairs to get anything if you want it... From their restaurant. What if you are sick?

My bed had a crater in the middle. I woke up in the morning with my back hurting and a horrible headache.

The carpet is filthy... So many spots, it looks very old. This particular room is in dire need of a renovation.

I'm a Hilton rewards member so booking Hilton is always in my purview. The hotel is a little worn and could use an update. Elevator was down which left only one elevator for the whole hotel including the staff. Definitely recommend a staff elevator to improve customer service and employee satisfaction. In any case, very clean and staff amazingly friendly and helpful! 4 STARS!

Very pleasant hotel. We found the rooms to be more than adequate, there were 3 of us in the room. Housekeeping was a little slack on one day with them only leaving us 2 towels. Coffee facilities in the room but again only 2 cups left x

Internet should be free and Americans do something about the breakfast you get in your hotels! It's pathetic, don't understand how you put up with it. Finally you learned how to make coffee and beer, next on the list should be your breakfast.

Rooms clean. Housekeeping was excellent. Front desk personnel had no idea where to go for a run, didn't know the neighborhood at all. Breakfast personnel indifferent at best- seated quickly but then no interaction. Breakfast food was the exactly the same everyday- zero variety. Bacon never was an option. Stayed 3 days.

The only reason this place gets a star at all is because of the warm cookies! Rooms very small and old. Relatively clean. No bar open during the day. During our stay, 2 mornings with no water. They said this was usually the case during peak hours of 7am-9am and on the higher floors, 20th and up. We are not in the Dark Ages......fix the water pumps. Also don t tell guests we re working on it when it s been a problem for a long time. Service from staff was hit or miss. This place is not worthy to be a Doubletree brand or under the Hilton family flag. Get it together!

Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful; plenty of fresh and hot complimentary cookies; great location
Cons: double room is cramped for space; elevators are slow; bathroom had an unpleasant odor of sour bleach; lots of construction noise outside

No DND sign provided, toilet ran and never fixed during stay, bag rummaged through and medication taken, no ironing board in unit and restaurant staff did not speak English, literally didn t speak the language. I reported this to both the local management and HHonors, with no follow up whatsoever. I ve been a diamond member for 9 consecutive years, for context.

Stayed here two nights with a couple of friends. The welcome cookies are awesome and definitely added to the experience. The room was a bit tight for 3 people, but this is to be expected in the city. We had a double full size room (two full sized beds) on the 26th floor. There was just enough room for a twin sized air mattress in the entry hall, though we were unable to access the bathroom when the mattress was in place. The bathroom was well appointed and clean upon arrival. Our view was great; we enjoyed gazing at the buildings around us so much so that we did not bother closing the curtains at night. The breakfast buffet was good with quite the spread to choose from. The best part about this hotel was the location. You are right down the street from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, and just a few blocks from Times Square.

The only negative to the hotel was waiting for the elevator; since we were on the top floor, it often took us over 5 minutes to get to the lobby. Honestly, this is such a small issue, it is hardly worth writing about. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I do Not recommend this hotel. Terrible service, very old room, even at Hilton members floor. Very old heater, without controls, next to my bed. No amenities on the bathroom, and only one soap bar to share the sink and bathroom for 2 people. When asked for more, they from only one. Receptionist refused to give a bottle of water to my wife saying that we didn't quality to get water. So disappointed on the service and ugly facilities, any Marriott surpasses this hotel for the same price. This is last time I will stay here.

Room quite small, but almost normal for a standard room. Since you want to discover New York, not relevant anyway and completely sufficient for these purposes.
+ Bed was very large and super comfortable.
We slept like a rock every night.
+ Heater warmed up super quickly.
+ Room service made everything super clean every day.
+ I found the breakfast buffet completely sufficient, perhaps could have been a bit more varied, since the same selection every day. But good anyway.
+ Fitness room included
+ WiFi incl
+ very centrally located
+ Subway just around the corner

Would have given a higher rating because staff was extremely friendly, but our room had a bedbug in it. Did not stay in same room to investigate if there were others. Tried 3 ice machines on 3 different floors and none worked. Elevator is extremely slow. I was in New York and hotel is close to all my attractions so I will not complain too much.

I have absolutely no complaints. The concierge staff was wonderful and helped out with everything we needed, including making our way around the city. The bartenders were awesome, drinks made well. Room wad cleaned everyday, the day we were in the room they still changed towels, took trash, etc. Anything needed they made sure to handle efficiently. It was overall a very pleasant experience and we would definitely stay again.

Hotel was okay.

Hotel was okay.
Breakfast buffet was not much choice, although I'm not sure if it was even a normal breakfast.
Room was fortunately quiet ours had been directed to the courtyard on the 17th floor.
It could possibly be louder towards the street, where the sound seal is really good.

No hot water! And when we called to notify the staff the just have us a key to another room on the opposite end of the hotel to use the shower, but wouldn t give us a new room! Room was the size of a large closet, needs updating, no gym. Location is great, but I wouldn t stay here again

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient. About 5 min from Penn station. The rooms are small though and the 2nd elevator is broken so there's only one small elevator to take all guests and hotel maintenance team members to all 22 floors. Not very efficient.

Booked through booking .com, cramped.room, and bathroom. The sink was shallow and water splashes all over the top and mirror. And the towels were equally disappointing. Not good value for money.
Fortunately, we had so much sightseeing to keep us engaged so slept there and not much else.

Breakfast buffet was a cheekiness, far too little selection and the quality left a lot to be desired. Staff was untrained but very friendly. Bathroom and bed cover was dirty and the heating turned on at night every hour and made loud noises, while of course it woke everyone ...

I enjoyed my stay the front staff were great especially Arlene and Thomas. I did not like my noisy neighbors who went in and out of room constantly slamming their door. Housekeeping was not friendly and didnt come to clean the room until the evening. And most of housekeeping didn't know English. No a/c in the hallways and it was a heat wave. Not sure if I will return.

The hotel is at a great location. From a location point of view, you can't go wrong with this hotel. It is right in the heart of the city. For me, it was a 4 min walk to my office. But other than that, there is hardly anything great about the hotel. The rooms are super small. The lifts are crazy, is just super old and needs to be fixed. Breakfast is not free unless you have hhonors status. View from the room maybe nice depending on your floor. Cookies at any double tree are always great and this hotel is no exception.

It was ok. Just the rooms are on the smaller side and for the price i paid. I was expecting something bigger that matched the photos i saw when i was registering to pay. The level of service was very good and accommodating. I would stay again here. I slept so well!

Small rooms. Chaotic, dirty and smelly street. Apart from a couple of nice employees I have also found employees who respond badly. For several days the breakfast buffet at 8.30 was already empty and nothing was reported.
