Rooms were an absolute disappointment with very old furniture, but Christian and Judy and Reception staff made up for it.

They assisted with bags and cookies and made the stay bearable. The Location is a plus and near everything.

Great hotel, fair price, close to the subway, tourist attractions, shopping and restaurants, staff were really friendly and welcoming, the room is small but the decor, bed and linens are nice, there's even a mini fridge and a safe. The TV did get some channels and there was free WiFi but it was so slow it's almost unusable, so you might consider paying for the premium WiFi if you need it. The breakfast in the morning was 'okay' at best. Lastly, there are only 2 elevators so you might find yourself waiting for a bit longer on weekends or busy times.

Hotel has only 2 elevators and one was out of service. Long wait times.
Also surrounded by construction- was woken up at 7.15 by hammering etc
Staff is good and trying to make the best of the situation.

Ok but not great and restaurant was horrible and slow. The rooms are small as expected in NYC however the one bed was right against the wall, the other the window (which was very drafty). The bathroom was clean and a decent size with a somewhat large countertop. The biggest negative was the restaurant for breakfast. While I understand and appreciate they were short staffed (for 3 days?) , management was nowhere to be found and numerous guests were furious with 30+ minute waits for seating then attention and left...each day. The food was mediocre at best (which was kind of expected) but the service was just so bad. And with only 2 elevators for a 26 floor hotel, be prepared to wait (or take the stairs) during busy times.

All I wanted was a lower cost hotel that was clean and convenient. My expectations were exceeded. The staff seemed sincerely friendly and helpful; the room was larger than expected, everything was very clean, the bathroom was spotless and roomy, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in while on travel. Nice, relaxed bar on the first floor, too. I'm definitely booking with this hotel next time I'm in town!

DoubleTrees are my favorite Hilton brand as I always have a great experience with them. I was walked here from the Crowne Plaza in Times Square (DON'T stay there!) because they sold out all of their rooms that night, so I happily took my free night voucher to the DoubleTree. I gave the DoubleTree four stars only because the first room they gave me was dirty - but as soon as I called them and informed them, they quickly fixed it and apologized. Rooms were clean as were the facilities, and you can't beat the cookies at check in!

Not bad. but don't expect anything related to HILTON.
Housekeeping?? Just okay.
Unfortunately me and my friend stayed in a room with broken heater. We thought the hotels in USA keep the temperature low on purpose. Sadly, we were idiots. I complained on the last night I stay, and they changed my room into twin bed room even I booked queen bed room. Thanks but I wish we've got normal room first.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The size of the room was small but what you d expect for a hotel in this area. The only real downside to the room was that the air conditioner doesn t cool room all that much and occasionally rattles, even during the night.

We stayed here for New Years and absolutely loved our time here! We didn't spend much time in the hotel except for sleeping, but every time we entered or left the hotel, we were acknowledged by staff, so they went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed for our entire stay. The room was very clean and the noise level wasn't bad, even on New Years Eve after the ball drop. The location was VERY convenient- within walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, etc. as long as you don't mind a bit of walking and is also only about 3 blocks away from Penn Station so getting places by subway was also very easy. Will definitely be returning for our next stay in NYC!

Room was the size of a closet, dirty, and with the windows open with no screens when I entered. I felt the need to check the bathroom to make sure there wasn't someone else in there. Public areas are not air conditioned and I met 3 other people in the halls wandwring around trying to find the ice machines like I was since they only exist on a few floors and are the size of a college dorm refrigerator. Bar closes at 10pm and I have no idea what the kitchen food is like because they were closed every time I called. There is valet parking service for $75 but be warned it will take over an hour for them to get your car. The staff is nice though but it seems management has no clue how to run a hotel and have set their employees up to fail.

The staff was attentive and friendly but we kept having issues. When we first arrived one of the elevators was broken which was a problem for a hotel with more than 20 floors. Our first night we arrived back late and our heat wasn't working, which was a problem because it was 30 degrees outside. Both issues were fixed the next day and the rest of our stay was fine. The rooms are nice but pretty small.

Perfectly sound corporate hotel the location is great: minutes walk from Times Square and the Javits centre. Sound service. Only two elevators which makes waiting a bit lengthy in a 20 something floor building. It could do with an overall update, but does the job. Perfect for a work trip.

This is a terrible hotel. There is a night club on the top floor which you can hear clearly in my room. Ear plugs didnt even help because you could feel the vibrations. When I called the front desk, they were rude and unhelpful. The room is small and feels grimy and unkept. I would not stay here agao , nor would i recommend it.

Stayed here two times, both were uneventful.

Stayed here two times, both were uneventful.

I check in, am told the room I booked is no longer available due to water issues, so they will have to downgrade me to 2 doubles. Ok, no problem. I shower in the morning and walk out to NO shower towels, only hand towels. At this point, I'm not going to call as I'm soaking wet.

Second time, retry. Check in, yes room is available! But... they ran out of water bottles...a but bizarre. I was told I can grab some in the morning, even though I'm only here for one night.

Get to room. This time no hangers, no ironing board. Come back in the morning, still no water.

Not coming back.

Great hotel. Very clean rooms. Our room was a little small but we only slept there, but it was beautiful. Staff was wondering. Breakfast was OK, But differently stay here. Great price for location.

Not good for official stay, they dont want to address issues raised

I was surprised by the poor quality and the experience.

I had brought this up with front desk
1. Towels were worn out/damaged.
2. Water ran out in the morning, when I was taking bath and had soap applied - I tried to see if I can get some water from sink, so I can atleast wash my hands and face to talk with someone. as there was none, had to wait feeling cold in the shower.
3. Toilet (Commode) water kept dripping in the container, disturbing the silence in room overnight.
4. AC thermostat would not work (I had to set the settings directly from AC)
5. Iron board damaged.
6. Iron not working properly - it leaked hot water and burnt my leg.
7. Itchy feeling in the room
8. No floor towel in the bathroom.
and more ...

Since I was in a rush to visit office, the lady in morning said we will look into it, but when I again brought it up after coming from office, I was told after discussion they cant do much. So I decided to move out of the hotel.

I also had called later on hotel board number, requesting for the General manager contact details, instead I was given a email address.
Looks like the hotel does not care about their guests and I had been more accommodating - spending my time - trying to give opportunities to improve. I even wrote this mail to their management, and did not hear back from them.

The reason I stayed at your hotel is so I could save time to go for work, unfortunately the incidents lead a bad taste and I ended up visiting late for work.

This hotel is horrible and are not to be trusted. I stated here with 6 people and had paid for 3 rooms last weekend. Our hot water was off every night an they told ha to let it run for hours to see if it comes on and then they had us put on towels and go down the hall to another room to shower. (so unprofessional)
One of the rooms did not have heat (20 degrees outside) so we had to use a space heater.
So i will say that the staff did what they could to accommodate us through the night however the management staff handled this so wrong. They offered us FREE breakfast and 10,000 bonus points (which after looking it up was only equal to aprox $35) after paying over $1500 total for 2 nights this was a slap in the face. And not only that but here it is a week later and the points never even showed up on my account. I feel scammed and will NEVER stay at this dump again and i LOVED Hilton. They should remove their name from this hotel.

I stayed at this place in October 2016. My problem...

I stayed at this place in October 2016. My problems started on arrival. I made the reservation through the Booking and got there the receptionist said the value was not that. We talked, showed the reservation with the confirmation, the values agreed, we talked to the manager until 30 minutes later we were able to "close" the amount already "paid" (later I read several complaints saying that they do not respect the values already closed). The room was spacious but even requesting daily cleaning our towels were not always changed and the room was not clean. I left tickets and tips every day but no use. The tired night we had to ask for the towel changes at the front desk. Unfortunately in front of the hotel was happening a big work, which woke us up around 7 in the morning every day. To make matters worse, I did some shopping on the internet and the deliveries were made at the hotel. I received some boxes but one with more products was not delivered. Every day I asked at the front desk about this box and the answer was the same: It did not arrive. Even though I received email confirmation of delivery, showing to the receptionist they kept claiming they did not receive it. I complained to the place I bought. They sent a receipt with the name of the hotel person they received. Unfortunately when I received it I had already returned to Brazil. I sent an email to Devin (supervisor) who asked me for a fedex account to reship the forgotten, not actually delivered, purchases. I passed but it was never sent. In July we went to the hotel to personally request our box. Of course it was not there. I was informed that they threw the purchases in the garbage. I asked why it was not returned to the place I bought. That way I would get my money back. The answer was: IT IS HOTEL POLICY TO PLAY OUTSIDE AFTER 3 MONTHS OF RECEIPT. I leave it to the imagination of each reader where my purchases went ...

Very nice hotel. They however advertise one price per room on the Internet and charge you another. They also tell you that parking is included but when you get there you must drive 3 block down to park and pay for it although you get a little discount. Hotel is however very expensive.

Had billing issues . was charged for incidentals twice and then a 3rd time a few days later . Didn t get refunded till 7 days later Neither manager or billing wanted to discuss as I made numerous calls and voicemails . Was only told by email the their cc system was having issues

This is nothing but a very old motel with double tree sign. Go away from this as much as you can. The staff is rude. The rooms are trash that rats could live in, but not humans. Again, this is nothing but a motel.

Tiny rooms. Some staff were pleasant. Some staff extremely unprofessional and lied to me offerning no resolitjin to my uograding my room. I payed for the hell of it and. Still got the broom closet which again they lied and said that is how all the rooms are after telling me thst they could not move me becauae i i booked that size room. Then i pointed oit that i paid a fee to get a king room. Thats when all the rooms were the same. Ridiculous clowns. Ever staying at this uncomfortable. Trap again. I expected Hilton to be a more reliable and ethical chain. But i was wrong.

Cleanliness was definitely an issue, my room felt Filthy!
The bed sheets & towels were disgusting. One day my room was just cleaned from my visit the night before, I walked in to find a used tooth pick (NOT MINE) just laying on my bed -Sickening!
Lady at the front desk was not friendly, welcoming or accommodating to myself and other visitors.
I did not get ANY sleep my entire trip, they assigned me to room 206 which was located on the second floor facing the elevator.
OMG the noise! I heard doors slamming ALL NIGHT Long, and construction was obnoxiously loud!

I do not like leaving bad reviews, but I do NOT recommend anyone staying at this hotel especially if you value having a minimum of a few hours of peace and quiet, sleep, cleanliness and treated well!

This place was a great location for the NYC marathon and close proximity to alot around area. I did not eat here so no food review. The hotel and staff were very nice and the room was what was expected for new york buildings. The bathroom was really nice amd updated which i think could have been smaller to give the room more space. The room could have used more lighting as it gelt very dim in there. My only real complaint is the housekeeping there. Of the 3 nights there they always showed up after 4pm. After an ealry start to the day coming back to a messy room before dinner was not fun let alone running the marathon. I hated to wait for new towels and linen. We ended up tracking down the cart to grab items ourselves. Beyond that i enjoyed the stay and hotel

The room was cozy and clean...The only problem was I booked for 10am but when we got there ,they had us for 4pm... We waited 45 minutes for the room to be prepared.. we got back 30 minutes at checkout...

Not the best place. Unfortunately most of the DoubleTrees have become run down. The TV did not work and the heat had 2 settings - off or way too hot. The staff was somewhat indifferent to the issues. The breakfast buffet and gym are way below par. I would not stay here again.

When we checking into the hotel and our room was not ready but they were nice and allowed us to leave our bags with them. We checked in a few hours later and they gave us each a warm cookie and waters! Another great thing was they were able to upgrade us to a double bed with a city view ! That was very helpful.

The room was very nice, and had soaps, coffee, tea and maid service daily. It was very close to the train station so it saved us money on parking the car!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
